This group has been very helpful during my crazy transmission issues. I initially chose this…read morelocation due to proximity to my home but kept coming back for the good service. They rebuilt my transmission and diagnosed the original source of my transmission failure.

I was referred to this location by a mechanic at my local garage when my trans mission fluid…read morestarted leaking after I hit something. and I have to wonder why. I dropped my car off and a nice guy named Cliff greeted me and said he would give me a call when he determined what was wrong. About an hour or so later Cliff called me and told me he could not determine the cause of the leak so he would have to take the transmission out and look at it which would cost about $675.00. What!? I had him verify that this did NOT include the cost of fixing the transmission, just taking it out. He then stated that there is no way an axle seal could leak like that. Considering I did not say anything about an axle seal I figured he looked at it. I asked if he tried changing the axel seal and Cliff stated that he wouldn't touch it because again he said "There is no way an axle seal could leak like that and that it must be a crack in the transmission or something." I explained to him that it doesn't make sense because the leak started when something hit it on the outside and it drives fine as long as I pour an endless stream of transmission fluid in it. Cliff stood his ground so I knew at this point that this guy was trying to take advantage. I picked up my leaky car and stopped at the transmission garage I spotted on the way out across the street. While I stood there the also nice gentleman from this other garage showed me a hole in the external cover of my transmission. Not inside. The hole was right next to the axle seal where Cliff probably saw it which is why he kept mentioning an axle seal. Do not go to this garage. They were about to charge me $675 for nothing and then who knows what he would have charged to actually fix the problem. There two possibilities here; either this guy is completely inept at his job or he knew what was wrong and was simply trying to screw me over. DO NOT go to this AAMCO unless you have money to burn. By the way my car runs like a champ and I paid the other transmission garage $350.00 to fix it labor and all.

This review has nothing to do with the service because I didn't receive any. Made my appointment to…read morehave my trans fluid checked. Got there at my appointment time 10:30a only to be turn away based on the fact that the guy told me I had to leave my car. He should've told me that over the phone. He never looked at it and even though I made an appointment he told me he was booked up for today which meant nothing to me based on the fact I had an appointment. Another thing I thought was weird was he kept telling me I have a whole lotta car. I have an Infiniti QX60. Either you can fix a car or you can't. Creepy! Anyway my whole day was wasted and I still have to find another place to check my transmission. They get a 0 for lack of communication or maybe it was something else. :( I was referred to them by a friend, so I had to call them and cuss them out for sending me there.

Some years back I lived in the area of Turbine and thank GOD I didn't need any trans work back…read morethen, but I would always drive past it wondering about it. Fast forward to 2025/2026 with me having a horrid end of 2025 regarding cars I ended up bringing my Mazda there to see if they could figure out why the trans suddenly went out after just having work done by a previous shop on the coolant system. Even though I now live close to Hammond, Indy given how long I knew they were around I figured they should be able to figure out what others couldn't. I met Greg and told him what was going on and he immediately made me feel comfortable with using there services, especially when he told me " hey we will figure this out together " He worked with me as far as scheduling , getting my car in to get looked at because it was the holiday season and things were hectic and Welp long story short it turned out I towed it there dead on arrival because they determined that the trans was no good even given the fact it was just working great with no issues before the work was done by the other shop, but Greg, as well as Jim who I got great vibes from seemed to be really nice guys and seemed honest so I trusted the death sentence of my car when Greg called me about it. I came the next day and decided to have the car junked because I couldn't afford the tow home or a tow even a mile away for that matter and this is when I really saw how nice and how much of an all out Awesomely great guy Greg is. I came early to get my car off the lot and ultimately ended up all day calling basically a web of scammers with a thousand different TN#'s leading to the same scamming people in The car junking network. They where really giving me the run around, but Greg was there trying to lend a hand and a word of comfort and patience letting me know not to worry too much about how things were going and hoping I could get some better luck finding someone to come get the car. All throughout the day he came out to help in some way offering me a bag to collect the stuff out of my car, etc, etc. He even saw I had been there all day and was just getting played with by the car junkers that was empathizing and he told me not to worry about the money for the diagnosis and boy did I appreciate that because with all the car problems ( 2 old cars, 1 very old going out on me in 1 month ) I needed it and it made just overall it was the nicest thing someone could have done in the midst of all the other troubles. This at a time when car repair shops are struggling due to the high prices of metal and the tarrifs, it says a lot about Gregs character. I was desperately trying to find someone to come get the car before Greg closed the shop because he has so many cars there I knew he needed the space so it was really bothering me that I couldn't get anyone, but Greg being the angel he is later in the day offered major comfort telling me to just leave the key in the drop box and we'll try again the next day and basically no worries and lending advice as to where to go to try to stay warm and not freeze, etc if I decided to stay even longer into the night waiting for someone to come get the car . Miraculously though, like literally right at closing time some guys actually showed up to pull my car. For anyone reading --sorry I'm detail oriented, but the gist of this review & why it's so long is I'm trying to illustrate that in a world of untrustworthy people that are extremely profit driven and only wanting to take advantage of people for that profit or just for other selfish reasons Greg and his guys are a massive reliable and trustworthy bright spot, again all out angels that you SHOULDN'T HESITATE AT ALL TO BRING YOUR CAR TO so YES TURBINE TRANSMISSION is the place to go you won't be disappointed and you can rely on them being honest with you and not trying to take advantage.
