It's never fun getting your car towed. BUT these guys were good and work hard. They also let me know how to request reimbursement from AAA.

I saw another review about employees not washing their hands after using the bathroom there and I had to leave another review doubling down on that one. You can hear everything that happens in that bathroom. CROOKS! Do not let these guys keep getting away with fraud, trolling and more illegal towing. They literally have been getting away with breaking almost every single New Jersey State guideline when it comes to towing. They actually "stole" my car, towed it without anyone's authorization, then when I assumed it was a mistake, they blew me off and tried charging me hundreds of dollars for less than 12 hours of being in their lot. Just a typical low level bunch of guys who are stealing your money when they tow. The police will not get involved because these guys dance on a fine legal line; just enough to make a buck unethically but, not so much that anyone wants to take the time to pursue them in court or with the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs. What's worse, is that when we interacted with them, they actually believe their own delusional sense of entitlement. They will break the law and not think twice. These are the types of people I tell my kids and family to stay away from in life and in all of my businesses. If you're doing business with them or if you're even affiliated with them in any way...run. They will milk you for every dollar they can get out of you with no regard for ethics or the law. I'm currently filling complaints with the authorities. It's always nice to know, that even if I'm upset and being passionate, when I have evidence and a strong case, I'll get justice. read more

I have nothing bad to say. My car was towed by Camps after I got stopped by the cops. The tow truck driver was nice and gave me directions to the yard. He was WAY nicer than the cop was! I went to pick up my car the next day. It's a typical shop junk yard. I don't know what all these other people are bitchin about saying the workers are rude. It's a tow yard, not Starbucks people. I was a little pissed about the tow bill but they told me all the fees on the bill were set by the Police. Great, guess the freakin cops screwed me twice. Whatever. The guy behind the counter pulled my car up front for me. He was a little weird and made funny noises but guess he coulda been worse. This place has the most rudest people on the planet Earth. My car was towed there just recently and as I walk through the door the guy behind the desk rolled his eyes and just walked away. It seems strange that for business they're willing to walk away from you without trying to assist you. These people of the SCUM of the earth.. They towed my car in the am without notifying the Wayne Police Department so I called the police that my car was stolen.. Towed in the AM and when we finally found out that these garbage people had it we called their office but of course they were closed and we were unable to get our car out until Monday morning and this was Saturday morning. Total scam so of course they charge additional for storage fees. .I cannot understand how they can still be in business and the State of New Jersey have not investigated them and removed their license.... read more

Unable to give no stars camp towed my sons car after an accident which was no necessary because car still moved but ok then went to pick up car from them and the window track is ripped off was not damage from accident this was caused by there guys at the yard very unprofessional I know stop f crying about it it's just not professional to cause more damage then car has already sustained I guess they don't give a shit bc they will never see you again anyways oh well live and learn read more

I'd heard negative things of Camps, as they've been around here forever but now I know it is true. HORRIBLE place and they could care less about people, trust me, they really could. Since they don't need anyone's business and surely act like it. Feels like full sleaze as soon as you enter their office area. I called for a junk tow, they offer me $125 but I asked if they could go to $150, a guy Mike says no. I did want truck removed same day so I agreed. Next I'm told the tow driver WILL call me before he arrives but he just NEVER ever called in advance to let me that he was soon coming. I was in my yard doing a few things and when I came out to the street, truck was gone?!! HELLO? WTF, they came and took the truck without e ver calling and telling me they were coming or when AT MT HOUSE taking it away all while I was in backyard! This place is 10 minutes from my house but NO CALL and even worse how they never gave me my agreed money and the title happened to be left in console. I had to drive over to them to get my money when I called and said, um, where the F is the truck!!! Really, technically, they stole the vehicle because they didn't tell me they were coming and that they had taken it and did so without permission and not giving me money for the truck with my title! The guy MIKE could clearly not give a crap with his fake apologies so angered how he did not give a shit people he hires operate hat way and he is okay with it as we can see. STAY AWAY and can get better junk your car prices elsewhere, call around because that I am sure of. Luckily the clerk I had was the lesser of the evils standing behind the counter. The reason for my one star review is I was very grossed out. Apparently the bathroom is very close to the front desk. PLEASE soundproof your bathroom!!! No one wants to hear your employees doing their business while waiting for their car. I heard that you should wash your hands for 20 seconds after using the restroom. I heard the water running and this is what I assumed, Camps employee counting: 1,2,3,20 , done. I can not believe that a place such as this actually exist. They are the most unprofessional, nastiest, undignified, scandalous, mean spirited place that I have ever encountered. At a time when you are at your most vulnerable state such as having you car towed, you would think that they would have some type of sympathy toward the customer, but they treated me so inhumane and disrespected. From the phone calls to actually picking up the car, it did not change. On the phone, I was talked to like trash. In person I was treated even worse. I had never heard of this place prior to this incident but I've since found out from many that this is who they are. They are very unprofessional and rude. The woman who is the owners daughter was charging us for the tow wouldn't show us the receipt before we payed for it. The owners son cursed out myself my boyfriend and his mother after driving my boyfriends car recklessly hitting every single pothole possible that was in the yard while speeding. I've never dealt with such unethical people in my life. If you have to get towed for your own sake please don't use this company. They will try to charge you and arm and a leg for your car and you will get disrespected during the process. If it were possible to post a review with no stars I would. read more

Camp charged $400 for a basic, under 1 mile tow that has cost me less than $100 anywhere else in the past, and added about 10 different surcharges that I've never even heard of. Buyer beware. read more

My car was towed to their facility, when I went to pick up the car I was shocked by how rude and unprofessional they were, they talked down to me stuff was missing from the car. As they want to get my car from the yard one of thier drivers who was being nasty to us almost killed us by running us over and he was calling us all kind of names. I would give 0 stars if I was able. Camp Auto and Car Parts is possibly the least professional company I have ever dealt with. From the tow truck driver, to the office staff, straight to the yard workers I have never been treated with such disrespect, especially after a traumatic event. I understand that a towing company is not trained in being comforting to those who are involved car accidents unlike the police, EMTs, and firefighters are. However, if you are the face of a business wouldn't you want your business to look as good as possible? Especially if you are under contract a township? It baffles me how the town I grew up in would employ such people as this who treat their residents and residents of other towns with such brashness. Camp Auto's unprofessional attitude does not put the township's best face forward. If I was someone from out of town and had to deal with this company I would be appalled. They refused to tow my vehicle to my auto body shop, had rude retorts to my questions (the truck driver and office staff), and didn't even have the common decency to give me a business card or fee schedule. read more

Police Confirmed I Was Over Charged!!! Please people KNOW the LAW. This company has over charged me and many many many more. I went to the police station to get a copy of the TOWING CONTRACT that was agreed upon between CAMP Auto &Truck Towing and the POLICE STATION. It clearly states that I was being over charges fees that I wasn't ever meant to pay. STORAGE AND LOT FEES are meant to be one amount not two separate charges. I was only meant to be charged a certain amount and when I tried to confront the owner DON on the matter I was harassed out of the business. Please everyone know that this towing company is over charging you. You can speak with the police station they will confirm what I am saying. You can contact CONSUMER AFFAIRS at 800 242 5846 and have a report sent to your home in order to file a complaint. As I have. I was told if they are reported over 3 times, they won't be able to remain active under the New Jersey State Law. Lets shut this place down. WE ONLY NEED 3 COMPLAINTS FILED WITH PROOF (RECEIPTS) In order to do it. Lets shut this place down before they rob more people. read more
