I had to have my car towed during the storm, Tow driver caused damage to my front end. Told me it was unavoidable and nothing he can do about. It didn't seem very experienced to me. I went to retrieve the vehicle and they would not accept anything over $300 on a credit card and told me the rest had to be in cash or I would not get my car back! avoiding taxes? Should've checked the reviews but didn't have much of a option during the storm. I also had to ask for my change as he was not willing to give me the change that was due from the receipt. This company is extremely unprofessional and shady !!!!!!! They recovered my brothers stolen 22 Honda accord & stole parts as well as the license plate. The initial tow truck driver that picked up the vehicle starts telling us how a sensor on his own Honda was recently stolen. Then after speaking with a representative of the company they Informed my brother that his sensor had now also been stolen. When the police first reported the car had been found they said only one rim was missing. Then after we go to view It, 3 rims had be swapped out. Then after asking the rep that showed us the car about the plates that weren't on the car he told us the sheriff's office took the license plates. So We speak with the sheriffs office & they informed us that the plates are usually left on the vehicle and are released with the car back to the owner. I called J&M and explained to them the entire situation with the plates and what the sheriff office had said. A lady named Jacqueline responded with "i don't know what to tell you" , I tell her "I don't like your attitude, may I speak with a manager?" She said "I am the manager and this is the highest your going to go" then proceeded to hang up on us. Now after my brothers stolen car was recovered, we now have to go and make another report for his stolen plates! Stay away from this business! They are crooks ! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I think they have some sort of connect with the police department. After my accident, this is the company they called. Had I known they would be this rude, I would have said no. It makes me really sad that they have so many bad reviews but no one does anything about it. Sure I can complain to the BBB but that also doesn't help. My insurance company had to try FIVE TIMES to get it towed to the auto body shop. I believe the individuals name is Robert and if I'm wrong, it's the young white guy at the desk answering the phone calls and taking care of whoever comes through the front door. He is very mean and nasty. I too could also play the race card but at this point I think that's just his personality. He talks down to his customers. I don't know why they bother responding to reviews saying "please get back to us with more information", for what? So you could be rude with my family and I again. Pathetic. Picked up my car that was impounded by the Oakland PD. My son was driving my car and J and M was called to pick up the car. The car was towed on Saturday the 11th. They claim to be open 24 hrs a day. I tried to retrieve my car on Sunday, sorry closed call Monday at 8:30am. I finally was able to claim the car at 9 am on Monday. I was charged 3 day's storage at 50.00 dollars per day. They are miserable people to deal with on the phone and not helpful at all. The cut me off on the phone and can't understand why they are on the call list. The car was dropped at an auto body repair shop on the other side of town. I would bet they do this on purpose so they don't have to deal with customers directly. I would have given them zero stars because they don't conduct themselves as a servant to the community. Oh and it just so happens that the owner is away this week. I definitely do not recommend this company and hopefully I'm never involved with this company again. read more

Just so everyone knows how their charge details work: 1. They charge you for towing (of course) it's a flat fee and then extra for mileage. My car was only towed about 3.2 miles to a nearby lot and I was charged $95.00 2. They charge you for "storage" $35.00 a day. The day your car arrives on the lot is considered as day 1. When the next business day begins that is considered as day 2 and so on. It doesn't matter if your car has only been there from 2:00pm to 8:00am the next day. They don't go by actual hours. 3. They charge you for tax In my experience I was in and out very quickly and I didn't experience any rudeness. The pricing in my opinion was a little steep but I'm just glad it is all over. read more

There are times I really HATE myself and feel like punching myself in the face. Like when I get a speeding ticket. Leave the toilet seat up. Or say something hurtful to someone. But they pale in comparison to leaving the lights on after parking the car. Hey, stupid. So being stuck and stranded in the street on a cold winter day, I gave them a call. They were able to come to the rescue and jump-start the car. Cost me 65 bucks: must be the going rate for stupid. Glad I was alone, or I would've NEVER heard the end of it from the peanut gallery filled with friends and family. Hoping I never have to call these guys again...but my stupidity's got potential. Completely terrible service and rude employees. They could care less whether or not you have gotten in an accident or not. Even after providing the employees with everything they requested they refused and argued extensively not allowing us to enter our vehicle and collect our personal items. Before going to the towing company we called the police department to see if we needed release papers, we were told that it is our car and we should have no issues. It's clear that the employees wanted to scope out the car and take what they wanted first as there was about 10 to 15 dollars missing from the middle console. read more

Deserves 0 stars! I spoke with a very rude employee named Robert who has no filter when he speaks. I asked him to e-mail release forms to have my car towed to a service location because I do not have a fax and he made no attempt to accommodate my needs. They are of course going to charge me for keeping my car overnight. I pleaded with him and expressed that I have twin babies and an older child and cannot get around town without my car. He screamed at me to the point where we ended up having a shouting match. Do not use this company! Update: They e-mailed the release form the next day, but insisted I come in person to pay. I had to engage the help of the local police to have my vehicle released. J&M are making me pay through a 3rd party to ensure I will not dispute the expense for holding my vehicle. Called J&M to pick up a swing set that weighed over 1,000lbs and deliver it to a residential house. They were able to pick it up the next day and call me when they had it on the truck to ensure that someone will be home to accept delivery. They placed the freight exactly where I wanted it to go with no problems. The driver, Eddy, was friendly and nice. Overall this is the second time I used J&M (first time was through AAA) and both times I had a good experience. They never told me that they were closing early on a Saturday and being that they picked my car up after 12pm it was an automatic charge for storage and my car was only there 2 hrs.
