He Said: Acme is a comedy institution, in Minnesota. Just the laughs that you get deserves 5 stars. The night I went, an incident occurred that is hard to properly explain: one person from the audience comes on stage during the headliners show to talk about something. At first, most of the audience thought what was going on, was a bit. Then security came, then the headliner left the stage, then the audience member had to be ushered out. Props to Acme for deescalating the situation so well and props to the headliner, who had to continue her set. What a show! Pros: - Fun atmosphere - High caliber comedians Cons: - Random people coming on the stage

Acme. Have you been there? It's someplace that brings smiles and is perfect for 1-300. Yes I've had large company get togethers here. I usually bring 6-12 friends along. Good to laugh with friends. Tonight was amongst the best there has ever been here. And I've seen folks here who are regular house hold names today. Today Joe Larson took to the stage and became one of my all time favorites. He worked the audience like a pro. Never offensive. Always gently teasing. Like he already knew every one of us. Catch this guy when you can. I will say he is a master in person.

This is a cool comedy club in a fun part of the North Loop. There is lots of street parking nearby. PRO TIP: you can stop by up to 2 hours before the show to claim your tickets - that is when you get your seat assignment, so the early bird gets the worm! I haven't heard great things about the food, so we went to dinner elsewhere and then came to Acme for comedy and drinks. We had a great time and really enjoyed the two opening acts and the headliner. All together, the show ran about 1.5 hours. Great value as well, so I really recommend Acme to anyone who wants a good laugh!

My best friend invited me to a show for his birthday celebration on Wednesday, 5/21/25. I learned you get 4 free tickets.... Yes, I'll be taking advantage of this moving forward. We arrived at 7:30pm to pickup our tickets at the box office. The gal who helped us was very nice and pleasant. She allowed us to pick where we wanted to sit and carried on a small conversation. This was my first time to Acme Comedy Club, I noticed there was a restaurant to eat prior to the show and a bar area in another section. I laughed SO hard this evening. The comedians lined up were great and I cannot wait to return soon. There's a parking lot across the street and street parking is also offered. Wonderful first experience!

Had a great time last week and laughed SO hard throughout the entire show. One of the best lineups on 5/21/25. I love how they offer 4 free tickets on your birthday month. You'd be silly not to take advantage of that. I believe Monday or Tuesdays are their open mic nights.

Sticks at Acme Comedy Club was such a great restaurant with delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. I had the shrimp linguine and white wine which was so delicious! Our server Neil was super awesome and accommodating and made our experience amazing by giving great recommendations! After dinner the comedy club was so great as the comedians and the entire family were laughing (the headliner was Tommy Ryman) 10/10 would recommend and will be returning!

My friend and I recently went to a comedy show and decided to have dinner in their dining area before the show. When we arrived at dinner we were greeted by the host. I noticed that the decor feels the same as 20 years ago. Our waiter arrived at our table and he seemed like he was knew and didn't know the menu very well. We ordered a bottle of wine, dinner and added salads to our meals. When the wine arrived he didn't open it or pour the first glass. I feel like that is a normal practice when you buy a bottle of wine but I could be wrong. Our dinner arrived but our salads didn't. They should have arrived before dinner but the waiter must have forgotten. The dinner was good and overall tasted good. Once we were done with dinner, we were seated in the front row for the comedy show. We had a blast and the comedians were hilarious. The waitress came to check on us many times to see if we wanted more drinks. I will come back for a show but I might try out another dinner location in the area next time.

Had such a fun time seeing comedian Sahib Singh! Haven't been here in prob over 12 years and it was so fun and intimate I can't wait to come back. It definitely could use some refurbishment and some of the seats etc look a bit old and worn but overall a great time was had. Really good value for money and all 3 comedians(openers) were really funny, audience was great nobody talked or played on their phones during the show. Staff were quirky but nice. They have a decent bar selection and wine was cheaper than most places, only had cheese curds for a quick bite before so can't comment on the food. Parking across the street in a lot ,good price for downtown Friday night

Customer service great, drinks weak, food average, atmosphere is okay. Rookie comics were better than headliner.

Before we even got there, we could smell this place, a GREAT sign! The hostess was lovely and guided us to our seats right away! The first thing I noticed was the decor is slightly dark and moody! Perfect for a romantic date! Plenty of candles flickering on each table! The kitchen is open, so it was fun to watch! Our only complaint is that the tables are fairly close together and a 2 person table is so small! It kept us from ordering more food, because there would be no place for it to go! Our server was nice. She originally forgot our drinks but admitted it and got them right away. We appreciated the honesty. Our water glasses were always full, we were given wet naps after our delicious wings and plates were taken promptly! Food: We each started with a drink. I got the banana bread old fashioned which may just be my favorite cocktail! My boyfriend got a beer and said it was "ok." We started with the truffle fries and smoked wings in the flavor rum chili. Holy moly! Both of those were spectacular!!! The ranch was just ok, I would probably get the blue cheese next time. Truly though, you don't need to dip these wings, the flavors are amazing on their own!! For our main course, we got the 14oz New York strip steak cooked to a perfect medium and the scallops! Both were out of this world! Very well done! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It is truly a gem in the cities!

Wood + Paddle is located inside of the Royal, it's their hotel restaurant. On my first night in Minneapolis, I'd arrived to the hotel for check-in around dinner time. Not sure where to go and tired from the flight, I headed down to the lobby and walked over. When I asked if I could get a table for 1, she asked me if I would be comfortable with eating at the bar. It was a Sunday night, so I think she wanted to reserve tables for parties of two or more. I was fine with it, but I noticed there were quite a few empty tables. A few days later, I had lunch with a colleague here. We got seated at a table, and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we kept our lunch within our time requirements so we could get back to the conference without issue. The food was really good. I tried to order or sample local or MN specialties during my trip. The hostess was extremely unfriendly and seemed very unhappy. She played the game and greeted us, but never once made eye contact, said "welcome in", "thank you for coming in" or anything else that would make a customer feel like they were appreciated for coming in. From the time we walked in to the time she showed us to our table, I said "thank you so much" three times and not once was even acknowledged or replied back with a "you're welcome". She should really find something else to do if she's not going to be a "host". Serving people should be the greatest pleasure we have when engaging with those we don't know. Patrick on the other hand was truly awesome. Friendly, smiling, engaged in conversation prior to taking our order and just seemed happy to talk to us. We told him we were from Nevada and were only there because of a recommendation from a couple in an elevator! He thought that was just awesome. Food arrived and everything was really good. The hash browns were WAY overcooked, almost burnt, but that was the only negative thing to say about the food. It was otherwise delicious! I would strongly suggest this place for breakfast. The menu is really good, with a decent variety of good options to choose from. Cost wasn't bad, but not a deal either.
