I've probably seen more of their puppet shows than anyone on the planet. During the summer they do…read moretheir Driveway Tour, where they do scores of free shows in front yards, parks, libraries, and anywhere you are willing to host them (public bathroom?). My kids absolutely love The Amazing Cow Boat, Katie Tomatie in the Big City, and Little Grandpa in the Big City. Most people only hear about the shows actually happening in their neighborhood, but I scour their website for any and all shows at time and places we can make, showing up in the backyards of random people all over the city. We've also been to their theater itself to see Milly and Tilly (x2), and The Learning Fairy. These shows are not for the faint of heart, they are loud, high energy performances by nutty, nutty people. A bit too loud for my middle-aged ears, and can be too intense for 1 year-olds sitting in the front row, but holy cow the kids go nutty for these shows. My kids play act Milly and Tilly all the time. Plus, they often have complimentary ice cream afterward. Next summer they are going to create a new puppet show, can't wait.

The actors were very talented and I could tell the writer had a love for this inverse detective genre. It is a bit sad how quiet downtown St Paul is now, but I appreciated that the theatre was trying to partner with local businesses with som coupons to encourage you to patronize not just them. The show also seemed to have great attendance! Parking was not too bad. There are many lots in the area. I would not use ParkHero if you're going on a weekday -- it's not too busy and it's cheaper to pay at any of the downtown lots rather than reserving through the app.

Hi! I took one…read moreof my daughters to the Historic Mounds Dinner Theater all night pajama party a couple of nights ago, and we had such a great time! The paranormal team there was very warm and friendly as well as accomodating (Thank you, Lisa, especially!) We experienced lots of scary moments, and the activities held our interest as well as our enthusiasm. We especially enjoyed the ghost hunt and investigation! I so appreciate the good time that the staff there showed my daughter. She said she still can't stop talking about it; said she's obsessed with it now, and tells everyone all about our night there! We're both looking so forward to doing it again and my daughter, Christy said, "And next time I won't be so scared! I'll be able to keep my eyes open through the whole thing!" (She's so adorable.) My husband and I had been to the theater back in October on a ghost tour and we, too, had so much fun there together! In addition to that, we attended the Twin Cities Gangs History movie there; we enjoyed it immensely! There's not only the paranormal part of the theater activities, but there is an incredible amount of history there to be enjoyed, and appreciated. Lots of little photo opportunities and a bar, which was thoroughly decorated and was playing classic horror movies! Although the wait to get in was a little longer than expected, the actual experience itself was fun! It was kind of a maze, but nothing too challenging. The staging in each room was really good--a lot better than expected! There were jump scares throughout and a cute photo opportunity at the very end. My biggest gripe with this experience is that it was a little short, especially compared to how long we had to wait to get in.

My tickets were for 8, but I didn't get to go in until 9 because the line was slow. We did get to see two showings of an aerialist in line, which did help make it a bit more bearable. However, you figure out that the line is so slow because they do a good job of keeping each group small and spaced out, allowing you to enjoy the haunted house at your own pace. The house was actually a well decorated maze, so it was a puzzle trying to figure out where to go. The actors cannot touch you, but there was a good amount of jump scares. We ended up taking 20-25 minutes to go through the maze. There were also a couple photo opportunities inside. We exited into a gift shop and went to the bar which had a drag show (i think this was a special and isn't a regular occurrence, so it was a nice surprise). i also love that there were lots of photo ops outside. I didn't pay for my tickets and $40 sounds a little steep but it was fun, and I'm seeing some discounts available for specific dates and MEA weekend, so I would say it's worth it if you find a discount day!

Drink prices were Las Vegas pricing ($20 for a small beer.)
