Seasonal price going from $3,600 to $4,860 (+ winter storage $180 + monthly electric) with very little to show as improvements. They plan to put in more sites, but they can't even fill the sites they have. If you are backing in your camper for the weekend, you may have trouble finding your driveway as it is covered in weeds so makes it very hard to see where you are supposed to be. If the manager doesn't agree with you, she will tell you "if you don't like it, you can find a new place to stay" or that you may not be welcomed there. Not how you should be treated if you are paying over $5,000 to camp there. She reacts before she thinks. Entertainment director hires herself as the DJ. Last DJ night, we saw a whole 4 people sitting around. In the past years, the DJ floor was full of families having fun.

Property is newer and well maintained. It's not far from downtown, the boardwalk, and stores. Some spots along the river have better visuals as some of the weeds need to be trimmed for optimum viewing. Our spot for an extended weekend had an obstructed view of the river and the boats as a result of the weeds. Each spot has a fire pit and picnic table. The office sells fire wood and ice and other items needed for camping. Property is easy to walk and offers a dog park. Free WiFi that works VERY well. Best I've used in an RV resort. Pool, hot tub, and tennis courts are on the grounds as well. We enjoyed our time here and plan on returning next year, hopefully the weeds are trimmed by then.

We saw a billboard for Sugarland playing at the casino, on our way up to Traverse City (another camping excursion). A quick mobile search and I also discovered the campgrounds. A little more per night for weekends and concert nights, but oh so worth it for the full hookups and services. You have to call to book a site but each site is a concert pad, with picnic table, grill and small fire pit with grate. Full hook ups include 30/50 amp service, sewer and water. Score!! Don't have to worry about quick showers or doing dishes. We could have stayed a week, but it was only three days and two nights. They have a very nice lake for campers and a big lake float for kids to jump. Kayaks and canoes to rent. A pavilion for gatherings, and even a community fire pit if campers want to get a jam session going. The casino shuttle is 24/7. It runs every 15 minutes to take you to the casino until 11pm, but will be available to bring you back to the campgrounds anytime - just call the number. We didn't have to worry about driving and parking on a Friday night (concert parking too). We were dropped and picked up at the door. Barely a wait on either trip. The Park has a small store with necessities and fun stuff. The shuttle will also take you to the water park but that is a separate charge (very kid-centric). Campers have comp use of the hotel pool and sauna; just check in at the desk and they can see your reservation at the campgrounds and give you a pass. LOVE LOVE LOVE - we will surely be back soon.

Rockey's is the very definition of "family campground." It's a place where people bring their kids…read moreand pets to relax, play in the water, and sit by the campfire. Lots of, possibly the majority of, people here are on seasonal sites, and some make these these quite homey, with screened porches, hedges, light displays and statuary. Campers are packed pretty tightly together, but if you came here you probably weren't looking for solitude. Though there were a lot of people here, it was quiet overall. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Other campers were pretty friendly too. The firewood we got was dry and easy to burn. We appreciated the cleanliness. The grounds were well maintained, and bathrooms and showers were kept very clean. Plenty of hot water in the showers, though water pressure gets weak if more than one person is showering at the same time. If you don't feel like walking all the way to the modern bathhouse, there are outhouses scattered through the campground, though I'd recommend just walking to the bathhouse. Rockey's is situated on a chain of small lakes, and there are some decent fish to be found in these. There's a concrete boat launch, as well as fishing boats and canoes for rent. When I was unloading my kayak by the boat launch, one of the owners said it was no problem for me to leave it on the lawn by the launch, and that I could safely leave all my gear by it with no worries. He as right. We were tent camping, which I think few people do there, and this did present some inconveniences. Some of the sites have few trees...like ours, and a little protection from the sun would have been nice. A lack of trees also left us with no place to string up our clothesline. There are streetlights along the campground lanes, which are handy for walking to the bathhouse after dark, but make your tent very bright at night. Rockey's doesn't cater to tenters, but some do come there, and for them it will be less than ideal. But for others it should be more than satisfactory,
