I switched to this CBW from another location and that was all very easy. My dog always runs right in and comes home tired and happy. I recently had to board him for a week while I was out of the country and it was his 10th birthday. They gave him a little party and sent me pictures. It was adorable. You can tell they are dog people. Bonus: Their cameras always work for when you need that little dose of helicopter parenting. Other places have had shoddy cams. I'm very, very happy with the West Warwick CBW and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Was very happy with this location for a few years, we always got the suite for our dogs. Fast forward, we are met with hysterical calls while 7 hours away that our dog had been mauled by a bulldog, to the point the attendant said we needed to figure out emergency care. After arranging pick up and normal vet visit (multiple) we are out over $2,000 in vet bills. We've heard from our vet multiple times after all subsequent visits and surgery (due to the mauling). Did Bowow follow up? Not. One. Time. Suggest you do NOT expect the level of care you would think, regardless of staff shortages, there was NO LEVEL of accountability or humanity extended by their staff. When asked if they would take any accountability they said "have to ask the owner" ... week later zero confirmation of receipt by said owner, zero follow up from bowwow attendant (manager). Thanks bowwow. My perfectly healthy and spry 15 year old dog mauled by the bulldog "unprovoked" as you said, is almost a month out and still recovering. Hope you sleep well at night, knowing there's not coverage in your facility and you don't care enough to follow up. read more

I'm very disappointed to leave this review. My dog attended daycare here when we first got her. We were pleased with the experience. Apparently, things have changed. I need to board her for several upcoming trips later this summer. I called to inquire about the process. I was given an appointment to bring her in today for an interview and to look at the private suite. I took the morning off work, arrived on time, and was asked if she was up to date on her vaccines. I told them she was up to date with rabies and distemper but had not been vaccinated against bordatella. I was told we would need to return after she was vaccinated. The woman I spoke to suggested I try to get her into the vet later today or tomorrow morning, and we could come back. When I told her the vaccine wouldn't have taken effect so quickly, she said they only needed to see that she had it. The vaccine loses its effectiveness within 6 months, and it is only required once a year by Camp Bow Wow. I made the appointment with my vet for tomorrow, put off a travel plans for a day, and called back to reschedule. They could not give me an afternoon appointment since the staff that handles that only works in the AM. The person I spoke to offered to ask the manager if it could be done in the afternoon since I wasn't told about the vaccine protocol when I made the appointment. I got a call back saying no, they now can't see her until next week, because the vaccine won't have taken effect. (Which I had to tell them). I have no confidence in this place now. I can't in good conscience leave my dog with people who don't know their own rules or how vaccines work. I should have been informed of the vaccine policy when I made the appointment, not when I arrived for the appointment. read more

I am posting this review because no one has reached out to me despite my calls. My dog was boarded there from 4/2-4/8/23. she is a very timid dog, and despite coming for evaluation and another play day before board, she was terrified. every time I logged in to the live cameras to check on her, she was hiding. I never saw any interest from the attendants to try and interact with her. they were all too busy on their phones. I saw other dogs defecate, and another dog eat it, many times, before the attendant bothered to notice . no cleaning up, no disinfectant, nothing. at the end of her board, we had asked for a groom and nail trim. when we picked her up, she had large inflamed lumps under her skin like big bites. we took her to the vet 2days later. she had folliculitis, which is from being scrubbed too harshly by the " groomer"she also had a severe upper respiratory infection and worms! we are still in the process of getting her better. 2 rounds of drugs and 3 of de wormer. DO YOURSELF AND YOUR PET A FAVOR. DO NOT TAKE THEM TO CAMP BOW WOW! read more

Avoid at all cost! I took my 10 month old dog for an evaluation on a Sat. They put her in a room alone for 5 minutes, added a few dogs during the next 10 minutes then put her in with 15 other dogs within the first half hour. They said I could leave while my dog stayed. I received a call 10 minutes later, they had added an additional 15 dogs to the room after I left and said that my dog was overwhelmed and showed her teeth and another dog went after her, cut her right by her left eye. They blamed my dog even though I told them she hadn't been around other dogs or really been socialized. They basically put my dog in with 30+ dogs within a 30 minute period. They also told me Sat.'s are slow and there can be up to 50 dogs in a room at one time. I've heard the number is even higher from people who used to take their dogs. I absolutely LOVE this place for daycare and boarding. When I leave my pups here, I don't even worry about their safety, and I know they are having a great time! The one time there was a little disagreement between my dog and another they called me right away to assure me he was fine and to tell me what had happened. The facility is top notch, and clean, and they ease of just being able to drop them off without notice to play for the day is such a hassle free relief! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I had them groomed here, and that was sub-par. Their nails weren't clipped and the one that needed some brushing, clearly wasn't brushed. So while their daycare/boarding is AMAZING, unless you just want them rinsed off, I would get them groomed elsewhere. read more

I brought my dog for the first time two weeks ago for four day boarding. The ability to watch my dog through the webcam is what originally sold me. My dog got groomed before pickup. However, he wasn't fully dry he was still semiwet. He was limping a little when he came home. When i took a tour I almost slipped, I stepped in urine that was on the floor. My Goldendoodle , Kirby, loves Camp Bow Wow. I need only mention "camp" and he is looking for his leash. It is a great place for him to socialize with other well behaved pet peers and unleash some of that extra energy. I feel comfortable leaving him in such good hands, even for the occasional overnight camping. I recently have been taking my bulldog Wilson here and wish I did it sooner. I started off taking him to Metro Pet in Warwick and had an awful experience there. Wilson kept getting beat up at Metro Pet and that staff didn't do anything about it, even after I told them it kept happening. Anyways, I made the switch because Camp Bow Wow you can watch your dog on live camera's all day and I liked that especially after my first bad experience with Metro Pet. The staff at Camp Bow Wow are SOOO welcoming! I watch Wilson on the cameras throughout the day and he's doing great, all the dogs play gentle with each other and I never see anything aggressive with any of the dogs. I couldn't ask for anything better. Camp Bow Wow is very clean, there's someone always watching the dogs, and they care about the dog's wellbeing instead of just making money. Went to Camp Bow Wow to inquire about in home training.Was introduced to Cheyenne who said she was a personal trainer.She took down my info and said she would call me at the end of day to schedule appointment,no phone call until two days later .She left me a voice mail to call her back which i did,got no answer left her a voice mail (NOTHING) Went there in person and it went downhill from there.Two people working front desk Cheyenne say's she was sorry she had problems with her phone(how about a business phone?)Filling out paperwork for puppy interview,Then the Pizza delivery guy shows up and both girls get up from there chairs and go into another room and left me standing there with puppy .Very rude!!!! very unprofessional. read more

We bring our boy Dooney twice a week and to say we love it here is an understatement. Every Counselor treats Dooney as if he were there own pet. Dooney starts getting excited as soon as we turn off Rte 2 . Love having the ability to watch his antics on the cameras. Love the services they offer.they are very kind our dog collar broke when she was there, the staff replaced it free of charge, you dont need to pay for the food or a treat they get every night before bed. They are very good about following spicfic instuctions for your dog.They have camras so u can see ur puppy any time again FREE.They can be a little expensive but ypu get your moneys worth if you bring them the whole day 6:30am to 7pm. And for $20 more a day they will train your dog for you.they offer bath on site and clip my dogs nails. They got everything! Even a washer and dryer in case ur dog wets the bed. read more

First of all I think the workers are fantastic. That said I just don't get it. Took my pooch there a couple of times and all he did as far as I could see was walk around a pretty small room with a bunch of other dogs. Not much going on at all. I thought there would be more play? Maybe an outside area to run but even the outside area was small. There is one climbing thing in the middle of the play area but the pups basically just walk around looking at each other. They workers seem to love the dogs though but I think I'll try another place with more fun. read more

I could not be happier with Camp Bow Wow in Warwick (CBWW).....both of my dogs love going to play with their friends & see / hang out with all of the welcoming personale. I brought my first dog here a little bit after CBWW first opened...she was very anxious on her interview day. When I came to pick her up I wanted to purchase visits, Dave & Felicia told me that I should hold off & asked if I could bring Stella back for another interview (free of charge). I was so shocked and thrilled that the wellbeing of my dog was their #1 priority, they are not after your money, they truly want your dog to have the best time ever...every time that they go. Love that CBWW offers a multi-dog discount & will do fun contests / activities to win visits & baths! Or even when discounts were offered when the Patriots won. Sometimes I am running behind schedule & forget their lunches....I don't have to panic because CBWW provides food to give them for their lunch. I just got a puppy & now he goes to camp with Stella....he is treated like he is everyone's puppy & they both get tons of love. Just extremely happy with all of CBWW's services, we're going to Europe in August & we already know where we will be booking Max & Stella's boarding stay! After reading all the good reviews, I was shocked at my experience at the Camp Bow Wow in West Warwick, RI. I brought my 7 month year old puppy in for an initial temperament session (a prerequisite for using the doggy daycare) and came away absolutely horrified. The session begins with your dog being placed in a room and one by one additional dogs are added. An employee is standing in the room and monitoring the dogs. The first dog that was put into room immediately pooped in the middle of the floor. Not a big deal! Just clean it up and proceed with the session right? Nope. The employee leaves the poop on the ground and allows 8 - 10 dogs, including my puppy, to smell and lick the poop for the next 10 minutes without doing anything. All the dogs were then escorted out of the room and another employee came in. For the next 5 minutes the two employees proceeded to violently drag and yank my puppy around the room by his neck. (The poop is still on the floor by the way). My puppy was letting out the most horrific yelps. Upon leaving the room my puppy was visibly shaken and immediately ran to hide behind my legs. When asked about their treatment of the animals the employees responded that dragging by the collar was their standard practice for putting dogs into crates. The crazy part is that they knew I was right outside watching a live feed of the session! I can only imagine how the dogs are treated when they know it's unlikely anyone is watching. Safe to say I will not be using Camp Bow Wow and I encourage anyone who is considering them to stay far away. I couldn't imagine leaving my dog with them for an entire day. There are too many good options in the area to use a place that so blatantly mistreats dogs. For anyone currently using them, please take time to watch their camera feeds. read more

I have been using Camp Bow Wow in Bellingham Mass for over a year.. they are EXCELLENT. I recently changed jobs and I had to move to a new day care. Well I tried the Camp Bow Wow in Warwick. The first two visits.. were a disaster.. in that they completely forgot to feed my dog. I complained and all I received was that we were sorry and that the person who was supposed to feed the dogs left for the day or some nonsense. They tried to give me some junk that perhaps she doesn't eat while at camp. Not true. Well it happened a 3rd and a final 4th time. Another issue is that sometimes it takes 12-15 minutes to get my dog upon pickup. They can't find the leash, etc. I don't know what to say.. as I see there are mixed reviews from other members while standing there waiting for my dog. I am just overly disappointed in the fact that I bring my dog there for care and not to be ignored or forgotten about... what would you do.??? I feel like they are understaffed and undertrained. I am actually upset because I feel that they are no longer an option and I wanted to use another chain site because I loved Bellingham so much. read more

This review is long overdo, as I've been bringing my American Bulldog rescue to Camp Bow Wow since early August. Buffy is a friendly, often over-excited dog and we were looking for an active daycare to utilize during busier weeks/weekends when we'd be gone for most of the day, especially on Saturdays while I was in class. I met the owner and some of the staff during the interview process, which was both thorough and professional, and included a full tour of the facility while being informed of their business model and care methods, which I hadn't expected. After about 2-3 full Saturdays of dropping off Buffy, most of the staff knew her name and her personality and were able to cater to her high-play drive. On several occasions, one of the owners/manager asked me how my exam had been that day upon arriving to pick Buffy up. I was really impressed with the personal level the staff takes to ensure a positive experience for owner and canine. They're also very flexible: at last minute, I asked to board Buffy over the holidays to which they accommodated during the busy holiday season, they allowed me to bring as many of Buffy's personal affects as I wanted, and were even able to fit her in for some much needed grooming with just a last-minute phone call on the day I was scheduled to pick her up. Buffy would immediately start pacing in the back seat as soon as I turned off of Route 2 with excitement to hang with her friends, especially 'Jigger'. The most impressive part is that the lobby, with all the foot and paw traffic, is always incredibly clean, bright and smells incredibly fresh. This day care is a huge step above the rest of the day-cares I have visited, and that's attributable to both the size of the facility/play yards, but more so due to the attentive and enthusiastic staff. Although my classes have ended and Buffy hasn't been to camp in a month or so, I will definitely be making the 20-25 minute drive out of the way to use Camp Bow Wow for boarding, as I have no doubt there isn't a more trust-worthy daycare/boarding facility in RI. read more

This was a great option for us when we went on an extended weekend trip and couldn't take our dog Zola. They were perfessional, curtious, and they have the added bonus of cameras to check in on your furry family member. With a handicap dog I had a few concerns but after a tour and introductions my mind was set at ease. They have laundry onsite to wash anything that gets soiled, and a small kitchenette to prepare food if need be. They also have prepped bins for each pet so medications and food are given at the right time. The only complaint I had was when I picked up my pup she was not very clean. I provided all the material to keep her clean without them having to bath her and it seemed they didnt keep up with that. Just a little background, Zola, my pup, is a spina bifida bulldog. Which means diapers because she can't control both her bladder and bowels. They did ask if I wanted her bathed at my expense before pick up, but I wanted to see the quality of care she was getting while I was gone. Being she was their first handicapped dog from what they said I would definitely go again and voice my previous dislikes. Overall a great experience. read more

Experienced,knowledgeable staff, exceptionally clean. Our favorite new place to board our furbabies when we can't take them with us. The staff is so friendly and professional, and their love of dogs is obvious. We felt so comfortable leaving them in their care, and love being able to watch them on the live video- it truly is addictive!!! Their prices are fair and competitive and definitely have the dog's best interest in mind. Wes and his staff were so warm and welcoming and treated our pups like family after only the first stay. The cleanliness is apparent that they take pride in it. Firstly, our dogs are like our children. From the "interview" and tour - we knew CBW was the place for us! The tour was extremely thorough and we were very impressed with the impeccable facility, caring staff and cleanliness! I think you might be safe eating off the floor there...well maybe not, but you get it :) Our dogs spent their first overnight in a luxury suite. We enjoyed watching them throughout the night on the app (because come on, what do crazy dog parents do?) and they clearly enjoyed themselves because they are pretty much comatose from playing the last 2 days ha ha.
