I can't cancel my membership. Noone responds to my texts or calls. Most aggravating. And is wasting my time. This should not be so hard.

I…read morefinally have a regular schedule with Nick, but I started out going to random sessions throughout the week, based on my schedule abs his availability. I always found him to be very flexible with me. The sessions don't come cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. That's a common theme in life. Don't forget it. Nick monitors my progress but is also very open when it comes to movements and weights. Some days I have knee pain, some days I don't. If the weight looks easy, he will increase the reps or the weight. Sometimes I am the one who says I can do more weight, and he increases it. Sometimes I am tired and sore and he asks me how I'm doing/feeling and makes adjustments based on that. I've never been injured working with Nick. He watches my movements and corrects me as needed. He asks me if and what I've trained outside of the gym so he can tailor my workout to areas I've missed. I enjoy conversing with Nick as I train. The studio is private, so my sessions are always one on one, but the gym is a membership only place, so occasionally there are other people working out. The personal training clients get first dibs on the equipment when with Nick, but there is enough stuff and space that we are never negotiating with other people. He moved to a new gym space recently and it's more spacious than the prior spot. He also has gathered more equipment. Parking is way better now too and there are separate male and female bathrooms. I'd say the new place is a major upgrade. I only do the personal training. So while I can't speak for the gym membership, what I know is- the price is reasonable, you get 24 hour access with scheduled appointment (so the gym isn't overbooked) and there are security cameras for your safety. Check his page on IG for more info, @theweighthouse and his website theweighthouse.com as well. He also has some fantastic merch for sale.

This is the gym for you- the community is supportive, complimenting your fit, giving you the latest bar/restaurant review on the daily or offering friendly Wordle competition. The equipment here is top-notch, and the members are super friendly (except for that one girl who's always in the way with her jump rope - jk that's me.) I never knew working out could be so entertaining. The members are like a cast of characters straight out of a sitcom. There's the guy who grunts so loudly you'd think he's summoning a demon, and the woman who is always in a matching sports bra and legging set (seriously, how does she do it that early in the morning?), the girl with head phones in, but is always listening and our beloved neat freak keeping us all in check when we didn't re-rack our weights that one time. No matter who you encounter, you're sure to have a good time. If you're ready to be prepared to laugh so hard you might accidentally drop a weight on your foot - join us. Good thing there's a strict shoe wearing policy...

If showers, locker rooms, and overall functionality matter to you, here's everything you need to know before you go. Outside / Location: This location is a win right out of the gate. There's a huge parking lot shared with Walmart, Dollar Tree, and a full plaza of shops. That's clutch if you need toiletries, food, or quick errands before or after a workout or shower. Plenty of space, easy access, no stress. Inside / Layout: The interior is clean, open, and very well organized. Wide walkways, easy navigation, and nothing feels cramped. Everything is laid out logically, which makes a difference when you're carrying a bag or just want to get in and out efficiently. Lockers: They have programmable lockers, which is a massive plus if you don't carry a lock. Simple, secure, and perfect for van lifers who want minimal gear. Black Card Spa Area: All the staples are here--tanning, massage chairs, hydro/aqua massage. No complaints. Everything you'd expect from a solid Black Card location. Locker Room & Showers (where this place shines): Huge locker room Water fountain Blow dryers (not common) Extra-large showers (also not common) Large changing areas with mirrors (again, not common) Hooks--listen, I cannot overstate how important hooks are The showers deserve special mention: hot water, great pressure, newer shower heads, clean floors, and noticeably larger-than-standard stalls. Easily above average compared to many PF locations. The halo-lit mirrors are a nice touch too. Small Cons / Nuances: The heat knob in the showers is a bit confusing Auto-motion faucets are annoying, especially for brushing teeth--they don't always cooperate The handicap section is huge (which is great), but the showers don't have an attached changing area. You have to move from the changing room to the shower. Some Planet Fitness locations connect the two for maximum privacy, and that's the only real downgrade here. Final Verdict: Objectively, this is an 8/10 Planet Fitness. But factoring in van life needs--cleanliness, space, shower quality, lockers, and Black Card amenities--I'm giving it 5 stars. If you're a Black Card member who actually uses Planet Fitness for more than just lifting, this location absolutely gets the job done.

I booked online through…read moretheir website for a same-day appointment and then a member of their team called me to get a bit more info about my goals and provided me with additional info to prepare me for my first stretch session. I have not worked out or done much physical activity since I had a baby, so one of my goals is to increase my mobility and flexibility before just jumping back into exercise. She let me know that non-slip grippy socks are required which was good to know. They do have them available for purchase in store if you forget or need to get some. Upon arrival, I was kindly greeted and instructed to remove my shoes and get ready with my socks on. My flexologist was Mackenzie and she was wonderful. She walked me back to the stretch bench and began to explain the process and everything she was going to be doing. First, they have you take a quick Physmodo scan which involves doing some squats on a screen and it assesses your mobility, posture, activation, and symmetry. This tells the flexologist the areas that they need to focus on, and they customize each stretch session specifically to your needs. My scans revealed that I was especially tight in my hamstrings, neck, and hips. Then you lay down on the table and they begin to gently stretch your full body. Wow, it felt amazing and I didn't want it to end! It should never be painful and Mackenzie checked in with me often to make sure I was comfortable. It's almost like physical therapy. After my session, they provided me with more info on their memberships and pricing. While I really wanted to commit to a membership, I did have a bit of sticker shock. A single stretch session goes up to $115 each time or a membership is $299/month which includes 4 stretch sessions... basically one per week. I unfortunately just could not justify the cost, but I really did enjoy the experience. They have a $49 special for your first 50-minute intro session and it is 100% worth trying!
