We are IN LOVE with Camp Run-A-Mutt Energy Corridor!!! We tried other doggy daycares but knew there had to be just the perfect place with amazing indoor and outdoor spaces, and team members that would truly love and play with our babies, Honey Bean and Dawson Rose! We kept watching for them to open and we're beyond thrilled when they did....Yayy! They're just around the corner from home, have the best owners ever, and miss our babies when they don't come play! The pups make tons of new friends...other pups and humans, learn manners, and come home all tuckered out. They've gone for many days just for the day but have also stayed overnight while we've traveled out of town. We love the no crating, lots of snuggles, early playtime with the other overnight campers, and excellent communication. Our flight was delayed from a recent trip out of the country and all we had to do was call and knew they were in good hands until the next day. I ran late from an appointment the other night and again just had to call and they were able to spend the night and were well taken care of! Whew! There are so many things I love about Camp Run-A-Mutt Energy Corridor - the hours, the facilities, the owners and their passion for pups and their thoughtfulness and care, the prices, and MuttCam. Our pups have lots of energy and they're always embraced at daycare!! The team there even reminded us to bring sunblock and they make sure our babies are protected in the sun! I tend to watch the pups on the MuttCam from work on my desktop or through the app. I love seeing them in and out of the water, running with new mates, being great sissy's, taking much needed naps, and getting tons of lovies from the team! You and your fur babies will love your experience here!!! At home we say, "Who's going to puppy daycare today?!" and ears stand up, we're stared straight in the eyes and then at the door, and they're ready for leashes. Kygo loves his time at camp run-a-mutt .. he is so excited as soon as we get out of car, he is dragging me all the way to the door that would lead him inside. Thank you Susan and team for looking after our dog. He always comes home so tired that he sleeps the next couple of days. Best is that I can look at what he is doing anytime. I am so happy I found this place! I have an energetic 50 pound pupper that I have been struggling to keep entertained and get his energy out so he won't be destructive at my house. I went out of town for 5 days and couldn't be happier with the excellent care he received while I was away! I am so impressed with this place! I have always been nervous about daycares and dog parks due to possible fighting, but they do a temperament test and trial half day of daycare with every dog to ensure they will be safe with all the other dogs prior to adding you to the roster. I love being able to check in and see how my pup is doing on their muttcams during the day and watch all the dogs playing in the wading pool and chasing each other around! The staff is very attentive and constantly monitoring and breaking up any play that gets too rough to ensure nothing gets out of hand and of course loving on the doggos! The indoor and outdoor play areas ensure they never spend too much time in the heat either. They even reminded me to bring extra food since he was going to be so much more active than normal and they didn't want him to lose too much weight while boarding. Last but definitely not least, arguably the best part, my boy got cuddles every night I was away because the owner sleeps with the boarders every night! Yep, she literally slept on a mattress on the floor in the middle of all the dog beds so all the dogs stayed monitored and felt comfortable! Since my boy is used to being spoiled and sleeping with me, she said he climbed in bed with her every night and she was just fine with cuddling him! It's obvious she has a passion for dogs and my boy was so happy when I picked him up and passed out the minute we got home - completely worn out from all the fun! Mar 2021. We are so glad we found this place! A referral from a trusted friend. When PetSmart closed their "doggie day care" at the beginning of Covid, our dog Maggie missed her 1 day "out" with the pack. We started with Run-a Mutt a few months ago and it has been fantastic. The dog have a MUCH bigger space to run including a wading pool. Which = high speed runs through it and "splash-a-lot". And a big interior garage area for afternoon naps and shelter during rain/cold. They clearly love dogs. Know them all by name. They even keep records sorted by the dog's name. You as owner are just "associated" with the dog. lol Give it a try. Each dog has to have an "interview" to confirm they are socially able to join the pack. With a large number of dogs (10-20) that is reassuring to minimize conflicts and eliminate injuries. Nobody wants that. Strong, positive endorsement. read more

We love Camp Run-a-Mutt. Hammy and Blue so love going to "School" and being with their friends. They always get so excited just hearing that they are going to school and the staff is awesome. Would give less than one star if I could. When looking for a pet boarding place please stay away from Run A Mutt in the Energy Corridor. The pictures you see below where taken after we left the vet and the vet confirmed he had been in some kind of fight or attacked. I get dogs will sometimes get in fights and that happens this is not my issue. My issue is that they lied to me about what really happened. The first call came and which they told me he had been nipped by another dog. Dog ran by Scooter scaring him, Scooter nipped at the other dog and he nipped back. No big deal it happens. The second call came saying Scooter has run into something..... say what. But he is fine we glued his skin back together..... yes they told me they glued my dogs skin back together to which I told them I think maybe he should go to the vet and they replied with no it's fine. I called the next day to check on Scooter and suggested again he should go to the vet and roger replied no he is fine it's not bothering him. So Monday morning I picked him up and got him home and could clearly see his leg was infected, so I called and got an appointment with the vet. Monday night my fiancé and I gave him a bath due to him being in boarding and found cuts and bite marks all underneath his fur. We took him to the vet the next day where she confirmed he had 3 infected areas. The one they had glued was very bad, and the glued skin back over the open hole in his leg. He will need several antibiotics along with 4 antibiotic shots... I say all this to say please make sure you vet your boarding places well and do not take your dog to Run A Mutt. read more

Our dog Jäger loves going to Camp Run-a-Mutt! In fact he gets super excited when we ask him if he wants to go to 'school. This also the only place we board our boy. He hates being alone and truly appreciates the cage free environment. Jäger gets to spend the night with friends and one of his favorite humans close by and not in a room by himself. He has been coming to a CRAM since he was around 4 months old. I recommend it to all my friends who are thinking of boarding or doggy daycare. As a plus they have cameras during the day so he can see you pup having fun, or napping (Jäger does that a lot). read more

This is Tha place for you baby's daycare and/or boarding. Over the years have experimented with several places for my pups but nothing as good. They take great care of their clients and provide first class service. We live near Rice Univ. so it's quiet a haul to get out to highway 6 and then to the business. I have two Golden Doodles and as soon as they're out of the car they know where they are And haul ass for the front door to get in. Couldn't t get better treatment. We love love love this place for our cockapoo pup! She loves going here for daycare and practically jumps out of the car to get to this place when I drop her off. The staff is very very friendly, and very caring towards the dogs. They have a very nice outdoor area with a pool, they are cage free and therefore boarding our dogs here is also a very nice and homely experience for our dog. The staff stay with the dogs overnight and there is always someone around in case of an emergency. I have looked at a number of daycares (not just in Houston, but other cities also), and by far, this one is the best! Thank you guys! read more

I am so happy I found Camp Run-A-Mutt Energy Corridor. It's been a year since I found this place and have no complaints. I have a JRT and a mix dog - two different personalities! and this place is being a life saver when we go to work. My JRT burns all his energy and comes back home tired. My other dog is a rescue and he has lots of issues and this place has helped him a lot - by socializing with other dogs and people who truly cares about dogs. Search for doggie daycare and boarding ends right here. My dog has been to many daycares and never did I see him so happy to go to a day care like this. Susan, Jonathan and Phu are simply the BEST! You can clearly see their passion for pets. I was initially concerned if a small Maltese would fit in with bigger dogs. They match dogs based on temperament and our Maltese loves coming here for Day Care and Boarding. You can watch them play on the webcam through out the day. They constantly sent sleeping and playing videos of our pet when he was boarding. Susan stays with pets all the time and she is just fabulous! You should see how pets get attached to her and play with her. Susan is amazing! The staff are flexible and accommodates any specific requests. They even took my Maltese for grooming when he was boarding. They close at 7:30 PM and not at 7:00 PM (as Google says). Its on the way to Addicks Park and Ride so it's convenient place to drop if you work in Downtown or Energy corridor. I am very happy they opened here at Energy Corridor. We absolutely LOVED this location of Camp Run-A-Mutt while we were in Houston. In an apartment with a black lab, we decided to give doggy day care a shot, and our pup absolutely loved going once or twice a week. It was just the right amount of activity for him and he was so well-behaved at home for the whole week after getting all his energy out. I can't say enough about the staff- you can tell they love the dogs, treat them well, and really watch what's happening with the dog interactions to keep everyone safe and healthy. It's fun they have the cameras too, so you can check in on your pup throughout the day. Can't beat the price- we bundled to save, just note you can't use your prepaid days at other locations. All in all, highly recommend, your dog will thank you (and probably sleep the whole car ride home from camp). read more

Everything is great until you hand over your dogs vaccine record and then for some reason they can't read it. All they have to do is call the place that he received the vaccines and verify it. My paperwork told them when my dog received his shots but I guess it's too hard to figure out when they expire. A few months ago they would of did everything possible to make sure my dog were taken care of but now they don't care and it shows. read more

I can't begin to express how pleased we are with Camp Run-A-Mutt on Hwy 6 at Westheimer. They are so wonderful with our dog and she loves to go play with the staff and the other dogs there. They know her well and make her feel real comfortable. She is a rescue dog and was a bit skittish of new people, but they have helped her socialize with people and pets. I really love Camp Run - A - Mutt, specifically the energy corridor location. Each experience with my spoiled Poppa has be extremely positive even though the staff is clearly at an disadvantage. Poppa is 6lb, 8 year old, Chihuahua dealing with lil (dog) guy and only child issues. The staff is always so great with Poppa. It does not matter Poppa's temperament or level of not wanting to be a dog that day he is displaying. I really love Camp Run - A - Mutt and appreciate the kindness they show to Poppa. Please entrust your dog day care or overnight kennel stays to the staff and Camp Run - A - Mutt. The team is amazing and if your are a protective lover of dogs your peace of mind will be calmed while your dog is at Camp Run - A - Mutt. I am going to be bringing Poppa for more play days and over night stays more frequently to get him to better understand he is a dog and run with the pack more. Puffin and Otter stayed at Camp Run-A-Mutt for 7 days. It was their first time boarding anywhere, and they had a blast. We visited many facilities in the area before deciding. Once we visited Camp Run-A-Mutt, we knew we found the right place. Super clean facility, daytime muttcams, dog splash park, and best of all it's a cage free kennel. So happy to finally have a true doggy daycare in the Energy Corridor! For years our options were Rovers Romphouse (great place but too far in traffic to do doggy daycare regularly for us) and St. Francis (they crate the dogs for half the day). And we are especially excited to find one we can trust and whose employees and owners are so knowledgeable about dogs. Some doggy daycares have hours that are impossible; theirs are reasonable for people who work full time and sometimes have to work late (6:30 am to 7:00 pm I believe). Also love that we can check in to see the pups on camera throughout the day having a blast. On top of that they are very thorough when going through their rules and with assessing your pup's temperament, all with the purpose of ensuring all the pups have fun safely. We've been to a few daycares over the past 6 or 7 years and none of them have ever spent as much time as Jonathan did asking questions about our dogs. Usually it's just a temperament test and doggy daycare. You can tell everyone here cares about what they do and loves what they do. Our dog and foster dog have so much fun and come home tired (which is great because they're both high energy and it means they had a great time). Additionally the owners are very good to the rescue community and foster dogs. Anytime I take our dogs anywhere I always have a pang of guilt but I never do when they go here. We'll be recommending the camp to everyone we know with a pup! read more
