If you have 30+ minutes and don't mind people who ordered after you getting food first, this is the place for you. I've ordered the same thing 3 times and they got it right ONCE. What can we not say about this place! The sandwiches are to die for, the coffee is off the hook (they serve 2 Queens coffee!!!), the brownie bars make you want to hide in the closet and eat the whole damn plate full. The staff are polite, helpful, and hard workers. A local legend works there, Kathy. If you're lucky you'll get the "Kathy treatment." Umpy's offers catering too! Very nice bagel shop! Menu looked interesting with all those specials. I had a Buoohahead on an every bagel. Never had a breakfast sandwich with crumbled Doritos on it. It was very good. Didn't quite expect the level of decor to go with the theme, but as the others have reviewed, it is full on summer camp themed indeed! The folks working here were incredibly friendly and while the menu seems simple the food we got surprised us in a good way. I had the godfather sandwich which had perfectly grilled onions and the right balance of flavor. To be honest I was expecting possibly day old bagels and basic deli sandwiches. I went here for breakfast while passing thru Honesdale, and I'm so glad I did! I had an Egg Bagel, with egg, Tayler Ham (first time eating this!), and cheddar cheese with a coffee. I love that it was cut in half, making it easy to hold and eat. Sometimes bagel sandwiches can be greasy, not the case here! Everything tastes fresh and I would recommend going here for sure. If you order egg whites, they separate them out from the yolks, not from a premade mix- woohoo! The atmosphere was very "campy", extremely clean and overall cute. Placed an order at 9am on a Sunday on Camp Umpy's website. Drove into the business pulled on the door handle and it's locked. Look at the hours on the door they open at 7 am on Sunday posted the same as on the website been calling for about half an hour now. Still no one is there. I'm divided on whether I should just get my money back or if i should call a lawyer. People have been recommending this place to me for a while, and I finally went! The young woman behind the counter was very nice, and helped me decide what kind of bagel to pair with my sandwich. The Mutzy was delicious, though there was a bit too much lettuce compared to the tomato and mozzarella. I absolutely loved the sea salt and pepper bagel it was on! We had a small wait in line to order. The stools at the counter in front of the window are very high and uncomfortable. There is no place to rest your feet when sitting in the stools and they are difficult to get on and off. They were out of chicken at 12:39 p.m. We waited longer than we should have considering there were at least 4 people working there. My Trail Salad had several soft, wilted greens and very little feta. The bowl the salad came in was too small to toss the salad once you put the dressing on. The bagels are just ok, It wasn't a great experience. I may give it one more shot before crossing it off the list. It is very clean and really cute inside which earned it a second star. read more
