Stopped for Brunch on way back from a Day trip. Carly & Sage made us feel right at home & gave us Great Service. It was so nice to see the Chefs happily cooking away! I didn't say anything it's not worth it because the last time I complained about my chicken sandwich I was told it is what it is. We had a fantastic experience. The pancakes were delicious with a rich buttery flavor. The omelette was huge and packed with fillings. French toast was great. The corn beef hash had real chunks of corn beef and the perfect amount of char. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The place is very small and every table filled. Menu looked good on Yelp & there were good reviews. There were also Gluten Free options so we decided to go here... As soon as we walked in we were bombarded with the smell of fried food and smoke. I knew I was going to smell like food the rest of the day I ordered 2 eggs over medium and the sweet potato home fries. It was just ok. I was told the home fries weren't deep fried but they seemed like they could've been, but I ate them anyway, as I said they were just ok. My husband ordered the Spinach, Onion Swiss Omelet with home fries and it was just ok as well... the potatoes were disappointing to him. The service was good, very kind and helpful. I think the reason I would say I wouldn't recommend this restaurant is because of the lack of ventilation. My friends and I were up in the Poconos visiting Lake Wallenpaupack and were looking for a quick breakfast spot on the way home. Lake Wally Cafe seemed to be perfect. This is your typical family owned, local joint, complete with fresh baked goods behind the counter as soon as you walk in. I was expecting good food but it was just okay. Nothing super fancy. I ordered an omelet and the ham inside was just big slices of deli ham with fat chunks of vegetables. It was just okay. My friends felt the same about their food as well. Nothing spectacular but it did the job. However, I have to say I got a pumpkin muffin for the road and it was delicious. I wish I would've gotten more. I'm sure Lake Wally Cafe has its other strengths besides baked good. But I would say it's a solid choice for a quick bite to eat without any of the frills. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on 6/20. Only gave it 4 stars because our waitress, and the guy i could see inside was not wearing a mask. The waitress tried to keep her distance, but your carrying my food out to us and breathing on it. Besides yoy wearing a mask is required. The food was really really good.
