The staff (from counselors to instructors) is also fantastic and a group of very experienced professionals. The directors are always developing new programs and bringing in the latest activities for campers of all ages. One of the newest additions to the camp is the climbing wall and zip line. My kids could not get enough of them. My kids are also huge fans of animals and the fact that Deerkill has a pony, and a couple of friendly alpacas is a great plus. Overall, I would recommend Deerkill to anyone that would like to provide their kids with the opportunity to have summers they will never forget making life long friends along the way. They are unable to manage their own staff, most of them are girls in their early 20's with no…read moreeducation background. They are short staffed, teachers leave and quit because they don't have the support from their manager who keep accepting kids without being proper staffed. Teachers and manager have lack on knowledge on education or how to handle common issues in babies, they rather implement unrealistic "programs" setting them for failure and kick them out. The teachers don't promote creativity, don't read books on a regular basis, don't do activities (they started to do it only by parent's request for a few weeks, and went back to just sitting there without even interacting with babies). Teachers were caught on their cellphones numerous times, even though there are cameras. They only cover the basics: feeding, and changing diapers. Kids get hurt and injured because teachers are unable to manage toddlers.. Not the owner or the manager have any degree in education.

Different tiers of annul membership available to purchase at main office that comes with some wonderful perks, such as free access to trails and special events. The main office also has some of the exhibition items like insect box and turtle box. Outside the office there's also bird and butterfly cages. We went to the center for our daughter to participate in butterfly feeding event. Upon arrival we found out we had to buy the tickets for one of the two scheduled events. Luckily there were slots available to the second event on the day. The ticket was reasonably cheap, only $8. It also came with an additional bird's exhibition that took place right in front of office deck. All the stuff members were very friendly, informative and interactive. We spent wonderful couple of hours here on beautiful warm summer day.

John was really great at making sure every member of our group felt comfortable out on the water and patiently looked after everyone since we paddled at slightly different speeds. And, bonus!, he's also a super personable guy who is fun to chat with while slowly cruising around. If you are looking to try your hand at kayaking I would highly recommend this!

Email, call, or asking for a meeting you will get nowhere. Once they have your child pinned as a bad kid he will get treated as such even when I made multiple attempts to communicate and find a solution. For a kid who was never in daycare before, he was only given a little over a month to try and adjust with very little communication about what was happening before basically writing him off saying this school is not for him. Basically if you don't have the perfect child or your child needs any sort of support this is not the school for them.

my experience as an employee at the bloomingdale daycare and nursery was awful. During only one…read moremonth of working there I witnessed abuse of a child by an employee. Of course, I reported it to the director, Miss A and the parents were notified. I spoke with the police and told them exactly what I saw. The employee who abused the child was terminated. In about a week I was called in for a meeting where I was told "because of the incident you reported parents are taking their children out" I was terminated. This was an act of workplace retaliation and I want all current parents and new parents to know that the directors of this daycare had no idea of the abuse happening within their daycare, or maybe didn't care to report it in fear of losing money and children, then terminated the only person that came forward about the abuse.
