    Camping at its best!
    Ciji J.

I absolutely love this cute camp! Located On the Wharf in Washington, DC. Camp Wharf is very close to the outdoor Wharf iceskating. Make a night of it - ice skate, grab a bite to eat at the Wharf Fresh Seafood Market, then dessert at Camp Wharf - sounds like a winner to me! My niece and I loved every bite of our S'more! Payment Alert: they do not accept cash - card or phone only.

Cute little s'mores joint on the wharf. Cook your own marshmallows on the campfire and add the real Hersheys chocolate. Maybe 10 chairs around the fire pit but you'll be lucky to get one.

It's S'more Fun at The Wharf Do you love camping (or glamping)? How about siting next to a campfire on a cool fall night? What about roasting marshmallows? Such a clever idea at The Wharf. Build a wood burning fire pit. Add camp chairs. Serve bags of s'mores kits and cups of hot apple cider from a vintage Airstream. So nostalgic. The s'mores kits come in a white paper bag filled with an oversized campfire marshmallow, a couple of graham crackers and a couple of squares of chocolate. Add the longest stick I have ever seen for roasting marshmallows and you are set for a sweet treat. Each s'mores set up is $3.50 a bag or 4 for $12. Grab a cup of hot apple cider and you are ready for a delicious way to end the day at The Wharf.

I love camp wharf. We came Sunday evening after having dinner at the wharf. They offer very reasonable s'more kits, lemonade, water and hot apple cider. The marshmallows are huge and hug onto the provided disposable stick. We stayed here for about 30 mins and enjoyed the scenery, warmth and crackling of fire and comfortable seats. I definitely plan to come back here a few more times this fall/winter.

This little place is awesome! It's a small metal trailer in the middle of the wharf next to a fire pit where you can roast your s'moreo!

My go-to order is the pressed-flat chimney cone with Nutella, bananas, and strawberries. It's served hot, fresh, and makes the perfect afternoon treat. My platter was around $13, which I think is a great value for the quality and portion. If you have a sweet tooth or are looking to try something different, I definitely recommend stopping by. We walked up and tried to find line, asked a couple people, and were basically told there were two lines. So I got in the shortest one, of course! Right before I got to the counter to order the employee says to me "You are not in line. They are not in line," as if trying to call us out and shame us like we cut in line. We definitely didn't--and definitely didn't do it intentionally if we did. After that, I said "no thanks, we don't want anything. I don't appreciate being treated that way." I was sad to not get ice cream and even sadder to be treated so poorly. Owner Jason apparently overheard and came and talked to us as we left. I explained the situation and he agreed the line was confusing. He offered me and my friend ice cream cones on the house and I was not only incredibly grateful to be validated about the line, but also grateful to see how much this owner cares about his customer's experiences. Ice cream was great. And the concern about our experience was even better! Thank you Jason!!

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, and it came with three different sauces that were honestly all so good. I could've eaten those sauces with everything. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was pretty busy when we visited, and I noticed who I believe was the manager or owner helping clean tables and checking on guests. I always love seeing that kind of hands-on involvement. Great food, friendly service, and an awesome location if you're exploring the Wharf. I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

After seating, we waited 10-15 minutes and two different people had to ask if we'd been helped before she came over and got our server. The server barely introduced herself and only asked whether we wanted tap, spring or sparkling water. We barely saw our server and when we did, it was unpleasant. When she returned, she said, "y'all know what y'all want," which felt inappropriate for a 21st birthday celebration. Considering that she didn't ask about appetizers. It just felt like we were a bother. Then four out of five meals arrived first, but the birthday girl's food came about five minutes later. We waited to eat until her meal arrived, and my grits were already congealed. Refills were limited to water from the hostess, dessert was never offered, and the server left the check while the adults were in the restroom with two teenagers at the table. We would've ordered dessert. Even the cake felt handled last-minute. The hostess retrieved it from the fridge, added the candles, and offered plasticware and to-go boxes instead of plates, which seemed odd. We discussed the cake beforehand, and after it arrived I told the hostess she could cut a piece if she wanted. Then the server yelled "no" rudely over the table. It felt like she was upset we brought a cake, and communicated to the hostess that we wouldn't get plates or actual silverware, despite being told beforehand it was fine. Overall, the service felt unwelcoming and inattentive, leaving the meal far below what we expected. We didn't even feel comfortable taking pictures. We will never ever be back and I have already steered my friends away from your establishment.

We hoped to find a place that offered decaf coffee since it was late in the day, but really wanted something warm since it was a bit chilly outside. Unfortunately, this location of Toastique does not offer decaf - they only have a single hopper for their coffee, so it is not an offering. We were going to find another place, however, they said how about a hot chocolate or a tea. My friend is vegan and inquired if their hot cocoa was vegan, as most places have dairy in the chocolate. The cashier went to look at the chocolate syrup and also had another person look at it to verify it's vegan. My friend ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk. Even though it was busy, we only waited about 5 minutes for her drink. We appreciated the effort to double check it was vegan, though I do wish they had decaf options.
