Walked in on a whim because the kids wanted something sweet. This was a completely new experience and I wasn't sure what to expect. A massive serving is what you should expect. I got something to share and that was difficult to finish. I think one serving is good to share with a small family. Opted for the pistachio but in the plated option to make it a little easier. Kids loved it. Definitely a unique and good experience. Just something a little different than just ice cream cones.

I thought the cake tasted very good and sweet, and paired with the soft serve it was even better! I got the Dubai Chocolate Chimney Cake, and the filling tasted really nice, especially more towards the bottom. It feels a bit pricey for what you get but I'd expect that at the Wharf. I do wish there was more filling on the cake though. We got our order fairly quickly even though it was crowded. The shop is located along the Wharf, and had a table nearby with a nice view of the docks!

The ice cream was so good. It was the best dessert, after dinner. The service was great and it was nice to watch them make the ice cream plus the cone from scratch. The ambiance at the Wharf was nice. I definitely recommend trying them. They also have another location in Georgetown.

So glad I stumbled across Lumier's after getting dinner at The Wharf! If you crave a sweet treat after you eat, it doesn't get better than this. I was in between the dubai chocolate and the pistachio special but I went for the latter and it did not disappoint. This small shop makes the Eastern-European inspired chimney cakes fresh, fills them with soft serve and the toppings of your choice. It is a bit on the pricier side (~$15) but to be fair, it can be shared with 2-3 people. The only recommendation I have is that they make a mini or kid sized option, because it was way too much for me to eat on my own. I can't wait to visit again though!!

Friendly service. The team was friendly and made it custom. They asked if the could add anything else. They went above and beyond. Went back 3 times and tried a variety. All was great!!

I was honestly a bit disappointed by this experience, or maybe I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The line was long, but moved fairly quickly. I ordered the ice cream with chocolate and the ice cream was ok, but I felt like the chimney cake wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. It also comes in a tiny cup, which makes it a little awkward to eat. My biggest turn off was one of the employees sticking her hand in the bag of pistachios repeatedly and popping them in her mouth for a snack.

My friend saw this place advertised online and we decided to try it when we were strolling along the wharf. This is a great idea and I have heard of these chimney cake desserts in Prague but had never seen them in the US! The dough was fresh and we watched them cook the cake in front of us. The ice cream was a nice contrast, and this is a very sweet a flavorful treat. The negatives: this is very messy and entirely too big!! Great option to split! I also found the cake hard to eat because it was too hard to cut through with the provided spork, but soft enough to let ice cream through which makes it messy. I enjoyed it but defiantly felt jittery and on a sugar high after eating it.

I came here around 1:30pm on an unseasonably cool/cloudy Friday, meaning there were not many people at Lumier's when I got there. So that likely impacted my experience in a positive way. They have a touchscreen ordering system, which made it simple to place your order. When your order is ready, they both call your name out and text you, which is convenient if there *is* a long line and you want to venture a little while waiting. My order took less than 10 minutes, probably closer to 5. I ordered the pistachio special, and I loved it. The pistachio paste was plentiful - more than I anticipated honestly. I chose vanilla ice cream for it. The combination of flavors was super yummy. My chimney cake was still warm, so the hot/cold aspect was really good. I liked that the ice cream balanced out the stickiness and richness of the pistachio paste. The only downside is that it was super messy. When the staff member handed ut over, a bunch of pistachio paste dripped onto my hand. And, because the chimney cake is warm, the ice cream begins melting immediately. I cant imagine how quickly it melts when its hot outside yet. Putting it in the cup is helpful, but in order to be snug on the chimney cake, the cup is too small to really catch any "drippage" from the ice cream/paste. Im not sure what the solution for this would be, though, so I didnt deduct any stars. Overall, taste was definitely a 5 from my experience. Im just hoping something with the design changes a bit to make it more practical as a grab and go type of item.

When I tell you this chimney cake was one of the best things I've had sweet wise in a while. I could not get over the warm, soft Rich flavor of the actual cake and then the cold ice cream ,they complement each other well , It was a perfect combination. I understand why it has the cup with it now because there's no spill there's no mess. This is a perfect dessert if you're trying to walk Downtown or about to Walk down the wharf

A cool new dessert spot opened up on the Wharf recently, and I knew I had to try it! The wait in line and waiting for my order to be made took a little while, but the employees were very friendly. I got vanilla ice scream in a freshly cooked funnel cake cone dusted with pistachio flavor and with pistachio cream on top. The flavor was excellent. The ice cream really hit the spot, and the cake cone was nice and rich. The pistachio flavor was nice and subtle. The prices are a bit high, but it's willing to worth a try if you're in the area.

I was excited to try a chimney cake, that I saw on social media. However, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. A chimney cake is a pastry, similar to a churro but it is hollow inside and filled with fruit and/or ice cream. I tried a chimney cake with Nutella and strawberries and bananas. My friend tried a chimney cake with Nutella and ice cream. It's very difficult and messy to eat. I wanted to try the pastry but there was Nutella all over the sides and it didn't unravel like a ribbon. It was also hard to eat because I kept getting chocolate all over like a toddler. My friend liked the ice cream but also was making a mess. I might try a plain one, without the Nutella.

Delicious! The smell of these cakes will draw you in. I went for the soft serve vanilla/chocolate swirl with pistachio cream. It was amazing. It's a good size, so it's perfect to split. The cakes are baked fresh. The mango drink was also really refreshing. I can't wait to go back and try other flavors.

For appetizers, I ordered the butter glazed biscuits, and they were AMAZING. They came with a dipping sauce that reminded me of peach cobbler, but without being overwhelmingly sweet, which I loved. The brown butter on the side was the perfect touch. I also tried the honey Old Bay wings and wow... they were sweet, juicy, crispy, and had just the right hint of spice from the Old Bay seasoning. The honey drizzle on top took them to another level, and the creamy green dipping sauce paired perfectly with the wings in my opinion. I also had the maple Caesar salad. It honestly wasn't my favorite item compared to everything else, but it was still good and fresh. I'm glad I gave it a try and got my vegetables in lol. I probably just wouldn't order it again next time because the other dishes stood out more to me. For my entrée, I ordered the MH Signature Ribeye Steak with baby potatoes, and it was seasoned to perfection. I personally like my steak well done, and they cooked it exactly how I wanted it. The sauce served with the potatoes was also so flavorful and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was top tier from start to finish. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Overall, I would absolutely give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.

There was no excitement, positivity or welcoming words. No one in the restaurant said happy Mother's Day or even Hello - they looked exhausted and like they were just trying to get through the evening. Perhaps they were overwhelmed and understaffed, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The good: - clean seating area - quick check-in - espresso martinis and the French 75 were good cocktails - the vegan entree was good - the mashed potatoes were good The bad: - seated for three people at a table with two of the seats not fitting, one diner had to endure the meal with half of their back against a protruding wall and on a bench seam. - appetizer tray showed up missing one of the four appetizers, when we asked about it, they commented that they were out of it. They brought us some more cheese puffs. We would not have ordered that had we known. - we had to summon the waiter to take our entrée order well after the appetizers had been completely cleared - we had to share Waters when we could not get refills after trying a couple times - atmosphere was bland, didn't seem like effort went into the decor or the experience The ugly: - their signature dish was ordered medium rare: it could not be cut with the table knife and there was no steak knife because it's supposed to be a melt in your mouth dish. It was well done and had to be returned. From our seats, we could watch them inspecting it and talking while one of them rolls their eyes. They bring out another one that was cooked to order. - when we got the bill, they charged for both steaks which was an $82 charge. - again, we have to find somebody to help us with the check. There were no apologies and no offer for compensation for the appetizer, the service, the food, the overcharging, anything. It was really sad because that was to be a very special meal for me and it would be easy to at least try to make things right. :( Please know there are other things I am not including in this review because we are a family that has all worked in the service industry. I hate giving a negative review, but no way around this one. And, yes... my son left a substantial tip. We aren't jerks. :)

With that many toppings, it really should have been pre-cut, especially for a takeout order. I could not even cut it properly with the plastic knife they gave. Flavor-wise, it was fine but underwhelming. The salmon was good, and everything seemed fresh, but the overall balance felt off. The cucumbers were plain, and the toast leaned dry, like it needed more sauce or spread to bring it together. For $18, it felt like a ratios problem more than a quality problem.
