I was a visitor to the area here and made a visit to Campbells with a group of nine people. We waited for about 15-20 minutes, (without a reservation) on a busy Friday night, which I did not feel was bad. Our table ordered a variety of food, all of which was enjoyed. I ordered the Northwest salad which was wonderful. The chicken it was topped with was moist and flavorful, along with the local apples and goat cheese. The waitress made no complaints about substituting it for bleu cheese. Overall, I enjoyed it and would go back! read more

We had high hopes for this place. My husband ordered the duck and I ordered the steak. The duck was hot as was everything on his plate, the medium rare steak was overcooked and cold. The waiter took mine back and had it remade. This time it was hot but by then at least 15 minutes had passed so we did not eat together as intended, The drinks we ordered appeared on the bill at a $2.00 per drink price increase from what the menu states. Spoke with the manager and he took the extra price of the drinks off the bill, no accommodation for the first cold and then late meal. He acted like we were bothering him. The place was not busy even though it was Friday night. The accompaniments were sour and unappetizing. A very expensive unsatisfying meal. We brought this to our servers attention and she took it then the kitchen brought the same piece back and added more veggies and rice to make it look new. After that the server says she threw it away and offered to make him another but he said no thanks, he was done. We went there as a recommendation from folks we met at a winery and the food was good. I had the seafood salad and my husband had the northwest salad w/ salmon. As I'm eating my salad, I see a dark short black hair on my plate, I notified our waiter however, he acted like it's not a big deal and basically just half apologized and did nothing. I'm a bit shocked that this was how he handled it. Needless to say, if you go here- make sure to check your salad for hair and if that doesn't gross you out then I guess it's ok for the waiter to just not really care much about it. Awful! The food was terrible! The fire pasta has to be the worst combination of flavors I have ever had! When they say Franks they must be using a chipotle or buffalo because I use it on everything and have NEVER experience the flavors before. The Spring pasta on the other had is bland as they come.... has absolutely no flavor what so ever. The service was good, our server was very nice. We have been going to Campbell's for years. The last few years the service and food quality has continued to dip. Recently had breakfast there. It took 20 minutes to get coffee, order was incorrect and took nearly an hour. We were comped breakfast at diner request not restaurant which is why I am giving at least two stars. Won't be going back. Just say sorry next time when you forget to put an order in, customer service can go a long way. read more

Came here with my family for lunch. It wasn't our first choice with the sub par reviews but we were very pleased with our food. Not sure why it only has 3.5 stars on Yelp. My dad's burger looked fantastic, my mom's fish and chips were delicious, and my crispy chicken sandwich was a hit. Portions were large and my mom and I couldn't finish. The atmosphere was pleasant with outdoor seating and it was nice to have finer dining with prices being totally comparable to everything else in Chelan. This is a Campbell's review encompassing the entire resort..... first off let's call a spade a spade. This is not a resort, it's a luxury motel. There's 100s of rooms and only 1 place to eat.... here at the pub. Service is granted, not given. If you're lucky enough to have some one pay attention to you you'll get brushed off and given the run around. Even with reservations we waited 45 minutes for a simple 3 meal order. This was after being turned away 30 minutes before closing the night before and calling for reservations 3 times. The beds are uncomfortable and flat and the blankets are from the 90s and too small to share comfortably. That said the lake is amazing , the landscaping and pools are well maintained and enjoyable. It's obvious that the "resort" gets away with subpar rooms and service due to the quality of the land they sit on. I'll comeback and now that I know the situation I'll be sure to get a room with a kitchenette to feed myself from the Safeway across the street. read more

I had a truly disappointing experience tonight. We had a 6:30 reservation. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp. It took nearly an hour for my food to arrive. By this time, my one year old was running out of patience. My steak, which I ordered medium, arrived burnt to a crisp with NO pink whatsoever. I told my waiter that this was not what I ordered but I was feeling worried about waiting for a new steak since the first one took so long. My son would not be able to wait that long. The waiter told me he could comp the steak. And then, he took my whole plate away! And told me it was the rule. So now I had waited all that time and I had no dinner. We ate dinner and breakfast here during our stay at the hotel. The restaurant was OK and about what we expected from a restaurant attached to a hotel. Service: Service quality contrasted considerably from dinner to breakfast. During dinner service, we were greeted promptly by the hostess, seated early ahead of our reservation, and waiter attended to our needs promptly and checked in frequently. Breakfast, on the other hand, was a lackluster experience. No warm greeting, server never checked on us, we asked multiple times for coffee refills, and server checked how much of a tip we gave before leaving. Not the best experience. Food: Overall, food was OK. We decided not to return for dinner a second time. Pork chop and halibut entrees cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. Clam chowder was bad, had the consistency of thick country gravy and tasted old. French onion soup was thin and lacked flavor. Breakfast was about the same. read more

My in-laws, husband, and I were looking for a casual, relaxed resaurant to visit for dinner after a long drive from Seattle to Chelan. We read some of the reviews on here and decided to give it a try. When we got there, we had the choice for a 20-minute wait to sit outside on the balcony (we arrived at 7:30 PM), or immediate seating inside the bar. I'm sure the wait was so long to sit outside because you had to be 21+ to sit inside, and many of the customers there were family with children. I was delighted by the choices. There weren't many--only two pages worth--but the offerings were varied enough to satisfy most. I couldn't decide on whether I wanted the asian chicken salad (lettuce, grilled chicken breast, scallions, green onions, fried won ton strips, Thai peanut dressing, sourdough roll; $11.95) or the Lemon Chicken (chicken breast marinated in lemon sauce, "seasonal vegetables", roasted onions, sourdough roll, choice of baked potato or french fries; $13.95). My husband nor I couldn't decide, so we decided to get one Lemon Chicken dish and one Pub Wedge salad (iceburg lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, basil, green onions, blue cheese dressing, sourdough roll; $11.95) and split the two dishes. I was slightly disappointed by the Pub Wedge--the portion was decent, but it was swimming in dressing. Not that I mind, but they forgot the bacon in the salad. It should've been included. But the sourdough roll was amazing! Crispy on the outside, hot and soft and chewy on the outside. It just melted in my mouth! The Lemon Chicken was decent. I loved the lemon marinade... very citrusy! The baked potato came with all of the fixings on the side (sour cream, green onions, butter, bacon). The grilled chicken breast was okay, just a little on the chewy side. I was disappointed by the "seasonal vegetables"--it was a side of overcooked baby carrots! I expected something a little more than just baby carrots. What happened to broccoli? Or green beans? The waitstaff was okay. They greeted us promptly when we arrived and said "thank you" when we left. We were a little surprised by one waitress's behavor: She spilled one water glass off of her tray, but then she dumped the rest of the mixed drinks on the tray onto the floor and threw her hands up in the air! It was so bizarre. The only way I could explain it was that she was embarassed by the accident and didn't know how to handle it. I felt a little bad for her, but the bartender, who was right behind her when she dumped his drinks on the floor, looked annoyed for the rest of the night. Toward the end of dinner, the restaurant got loud, especially when a group of already-drunk young guys showed up and started putting their fingers in strangers' drinks, putting their arms around the waitresses, etc. Definitely not a place to go if you want some peace and quiet, but somewhat to be expected with a bar atmosphere. My in-laws had some burgers, not sure which specifically. They said the burgers were fabulous! I can't comment on them much more than that, but figured I would pass this information on to burger lovers. Overall, an okay restaurant and food. I think there is better elsewhere in Chelan though. read more

Great food! Had the Prime Rib, Waygu Beef and Cajun Shrimp. Vegetables were crisp, steak and prime rib was done medium to perfection. Cajun Shrimp and dirty rice was delicious and spicy but not so spicy it made you sweat. Still took about 4 ice teas to cool it down. Great staff and nice and close to downtown. read more

I really enjoyed coming here. On the last day of our vacation to the Chelan area, we came here for lunch. For an appetizer, I had the chicken wings, in their BBQ sauce. The sauce was very sweet and smoky, and the wings were warm, and crispy. For my main course, I had the Bacon Cheddar Burger. Most of the people I saw were getting that, so I said sure! The burger was very juicy, and succulent, while the bun was toasted and buttery. The lettuce was nice and crispy. The cheddar was nice, the bacon was overdone, but that's no big deal! Very smoky and crisp. Very good food. Service was very nice, but it seems like they could use a few more servers. Will be back for another Bacon Cheddar Burger and dessert! read more

Very disappointing brunch...we came here to celebrate a special occasion because I had a great dinner here a few years back and we were looking for something upscale. Today's experience was poor from start to finish...hostess acted a little put out when I requested a specific table (it was empty, just needed to be cleared), our food was delivered cool, and our waitress never came back to ask us how our meal was. My husband's breakfast sausage looked exactly like the frozen kind we buy from Costco. Then we had a long wait to get our check. Hopefully they see this and work on improving their service as it is a lovely place...my daughter observed that most of the staff were unmotivated teenagers. Beer showed up more than half way through our meal, keep in mind we already ate an appetizer. So we basically paid for 3 drinks of beer. When we got the appetizer we asked the gentleman (not our server) for plates and dressing. Saw him walk by several times empty handed then the server brought them out after a reminder. Second night, a different server got our party of 6 as the large party was getting their meals. She took our order for drinks and appetizer, 25 mins later the drinks came out, 25 minutes! Again appetizer came out with no plates...good grief. She redeemed herself, apologized but came around. I do not understand the drink issue, do the bartenders NOT run drinks? Do other severs help deliver drinks or notice missing plates for appetizers? Why does the sever have to run their own drinks? Does the manager run drinks or food? I served and tended bar for 6 years while in college, I know the importance of teamwork and I see that lacking here. When drinks sit more than 10 minutes at the bar the bar tender needs to run them to the table or ask for help, it is quite simple. I heard a table say they had to return a drink to the bar because it was warm, why does she have to do that herself and why is it warm?? When you spend well over $100 you expect better service from everyone! Also common sense not to seat a 6 top near a room with 20-30 people, of course we were overlooked! read more

Chelan is both high desert and a food desert. Having opted to eat at Campbell's Resort at a least of all evils in town (after much due diligence both online and window shopping), we were asked to wait an hour on a Saturday night. No big deal, as we had no reservation. We expected little and received little. The atmosphere was clouded by a silent, large TV showing some sort of football show, distracting me and my son who faced it. Servers ran by my backside called out "corner" as they careened through a doorway. The server was very slow to get to our table and was absent for long periods. We felt unattended to. My wife and I ordered the flank steak an the beet salad to share. The flank steak, ordered medium rare, was rare. It was also drowning in some sort of teriyaki sauce, cloyingly sweet. There was bacon in the dish; I don't know why, but it was probably the part that was most tasty, but unnecessary, if the steak had been cooked and seasoned properly. The asparagus was cooked properly, but just steamed without any seasoning, sauce, or oil. The roasted potatoes were the best part of the plate, perfectly cooked and almost perfectly seasoned. The salad was better. The beets were well cooked. The greens were fresh and well dressed. The balance was off, as we don't eat cheese and the blue cheese was left off (that is due to our inability to tolerate dairy). A bit of saltiness, such as cured meat (prosciutto) would have completed the salad for us. Like I said, it was the least worst in thus food desert. Why? Chelan attracts a lot of people who care about food, doesn't it? Perhaps not. read more
