State farm is letting customers know not to use them while working on removing them as a preferred provider. This company is not on the BBB. They also tried to act like they were the owners of my car, dictating the new mechanic what is going on. They respond to this review the way they do al the others, try to attack me. Luckily, the new mechanic and state farm have The new LEGIT mechanic my car went to after 30 days let us know they stated themselves, they never ordered a wiring harness, after claiming for almost a month, that is what they were waiting on. The only thing they did was cut a couple cords, and replace the undercarriage of a hood after initially attempting to charge insurance $4000. They tried cut me, the owner of the vehicle, out by speaking with "her" state farm contacts and trying to say my car was a total loss, without performing any mechanic work whatsoever. Luckily i keep documentation, and was letting state farm contacts know there is fraud. Even after state farm removes them, consumers need to be aware this is a completely dishonest, crooked, and drama filled all in the name of a dollar. Oh and they also lied, said there hours were 12-4:30 when my state farm agents attempted to call them, only to change them the next day, to 8-4:30.

Used vehicle purchased on 12/26/25 & have 3 issues ON SAME DAY drive home: engine, tire, and…read moreelectronic. *Jason Miller informed me that they won't cover the repairs* I had been searching for the "right" Expedition for my family of 7 and came across several options. I chose the one at Coad Toyota based on the listed vehicle description, transparency of John (sales rep), and reputation of the dealership. This was to be a Merry Christmas present for our family! I flew down from Minneapolis and had a walk through of the vehicle. There were no issues with the vehicle, that I could see. I fully understand that a used vehicle is sold as-is, and based on the dealership reputation, I trusted the vehicle to be in perfect working condition based on their "Why buy at Coad" promise. I paid cash and drove back to Minneapolis. After leaving the dealership with my Expedition, I noticed 3 issues ON THAT SAME DAY: the brand new installed tires were the incorrect size, the engine began making a weird rattle and ticking noise (video attached), and the rear seat video screens were not working. Having come across these issues on the same day as purchased, I let my salesmen know and trusted all would be resolved. John took note of the issues and promised to work towards a resolution. The sales manager, Nicholas, confirmed that the wrong tires were installed (245 width instead of 285 width) and sent a check to cover the cost of replacement tires (Great!). Next up was the engine issue that literally started THE SAME DAY that I purchased the vehicle. I sent the video, paid to have a local Minneapolis Ford dealer inspect, and sent the findings (VCT Cam Phaser needs to be replaced). Nicholas reached back out after I sent the invoice and said that since the vehicle was sold as-is, the dealership will not cover any part of the repairs. Since the issues happened THE SAME DAY of purchase and the dealer's great reputation, I was surprised at the quick denial. This is a very serious engine issue. If left unrepaired, the engine will have a catastrophic failure and need to be replaced. On Coad's own dealership website, it answers the question of "Why buy at Coad". It states that all customers can enjoy peace of mind because ALL of THEIR USED VEHICLES have PASSED their Lifetime Warranty certification program. Obviously I trusted that my vehicle went through the same rigorous certification. Since the engine issue happened the SAME DAY, I expected that the dealership would stand behind their reputation and work towards a satisfactory resolution by doing the right thing. The final concern, the video screens not working, seemed trivial compared against the engine and tires, so I haven't even brought that up. I assumed that the oem factory installed rear seat entertainment system was working. I believed that that would have been another item that fell under their rigorous vehicle certification program. I have purchased several vehicles out of state from reputable dealers and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately Jason Miller, General Manager, just let me know that it is just bad luck. They will not assist with this repair and will not escalate to their ownership. Don't believe their "Why buy from Coad" promise. *Response to Jason's reply... correct, at the dealership the vehicle did not make any noise nor did I notice the tires were the wrong size nor that the video screen screens weren't blinking on and off because I didn't sit in the backseat. That still doesn't take away the fact that the vehicle literally had engine problems on the SAME DAY that I drove back home from your dealership. For you to tell me that it's just bad luck, just speaks volumes to your integrity. I might as well purchased off Facebook Marketplace as that's the response I would expect from there.

As part of the transaction, we also traded in our fully paid-off 2023 TRX Lunar Edition. The sale was completed on April 12, 2025, and as of July 7, 2025, we still have not received our permanent license plate or registration. Despite numerous follow-up phone calls, we have only been issued temporary tags twice. We are now driving with expired temporary tags while commuting daily on and off a military base--this is not acceptable, as expired tags pose a significant issue for base access. We have had to initiate every update call ourselves, and the response has consistently been vague or lacking any actual resolution. Most recently, we were told it is now our responsibility to resolve this issue, which is unacceptable and has forced us to begin pursuing legal action. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering that we are frequent buyers and sellers of vehicles--always paying cash--and you would expect a dealership to value customers like us. We've purchased and sold vehicles at dealerships across the country and have never encountered issues like this, nor such poor communication and lack of customer service. While our salesman, Kaleb Foster, was excellent during the sales process, he has had no involvement or success in helping us resolve this issue and appears to be just as uninformed as we are. We expect immediate action to resolve this matter.

What started as a great car-buying experience has unfortunately turned into a nightmare. During the…read moretest drive on 11-15-2025, we noticed the vehicle had a hard shift between third and fourth gear. We were assured by the dealership. and it was noted that this issue would be fixed quickly and that the part would be ordered right away. However, we have now been waiting 39 days since the vehicle was left at the dealership for this repair to be completed- and we've already made our first car payment without having the car in our possession. The sales team Luis Lopez was wonderful, Lacee Antosh in Finance was also wonderful. They made the buying process smooth. The follow-through from the service department has been extremely disappointing. When we purchased the vehicle, we were told it had been through Linwood's rigorous 125-point pre-owned vehicle inspection, which is advertised as a key part of their certified pre-owned process- including mechanical and appearance standards meant to ensure a quality vehicle. Unfortunately, this experience suggests that inspection either did not catch a known drivability issue or that promised repairs were not handled according to their own policy. We trusted Linwood to stand by their word and take care of the issue promptly, but the lack of communication and ongoing delay has turned what started as a positive experience into a very frustrating one. I will update this review once the vehicle is returned to us and if the repair has been completed correctly. After all, I would want to buy from a dealership that held the highest standards for its service department as well as its sales and finance departments. Valerie A Beal
