The chips are also served warm with two sauces, a salsa and a sweet, sour cream cilantro style dip. Both equally yummy. However splurge a bit and order the queso blanco cheese dip, one word...addictive! Hubby even wanted to order some to go! Food was served faster than a typical fast food chain! I really like this place. They are are always very friendly to us and the food is very good. I definitely consider it to be the best Mexican food in town. No, not all the waiters speak perfect English, but is it seriously that big of a problem? They are never rude and they bring what we ordered in a timely manner. Sometimes there are slight mix ups, but it happens. It is always very clean as well. This place in no way deserves a rating as low as it has on here. Where do I start. The servicing staff was average if you ignore the fact that they can all stand around at the front chatting. Otherwise, I refuse to call what I just had a burrito. Lets call it a 7 day old preheated lump of meat from some animal buried in queso dip. If all you care about is quantity of food then I would recommend some other restaurant since for the price you could get more elsewhere. Also, the cheese dip is a poor gimmic since you could get it and the chips at the grocery for less. On the long trip between Raleigh and Akron, we were delighted to find Campespre nestled in the mountains of West Virginia. Please stay away. When arriving at the place, it looked kinda of cute inside. It was also cheap. I had hope, but this hope was unfounded. My quesadilla tasted unbearably salty, like wonder bread with plastic cheese. The filling in my enchilada was ground beef with zero spec of spice. The rice was blander than I can even imaginably describe. The beans were unsalted. The guacamole was acceptable, and the chile relleno was decent. There was some sort of mayonnaise based mystery "salsa" at the beginning of the meal, which was quite strange. Overall, we agreed that this was one of the worst Mexican food experiences we've had in many years, so please believe me when I say that you'd be better off at Ihop, Taco Bell, or the other lame ass chains. read more

We spent the night across the street while traveling, and the hotel staff recommended Campespre. It was pretty decent, pretty standard Mexican food. They have a white, Ranch-like sauce that is interesting. It seems like it may contain cheese, sour cream - some sort of mixture along those lines. The service was very good. Would give it no stars except the chip and white dip were great. Otherwise where to start 1 the chicken burrito was barely warm unseasoned chicken in a cold flour shell. NO BEANS and if there was any less cheese it would be nonexistent. The bean and rice side was tiny and again so flat. 2 Hubby's taco was no better. His cheese quesadilla was smothered in cheese but it was over only one small tortilla. If we weren't starving from a 500 mile drive we would have sent it back and gone Italian. Initial service after being seated started off slow but got better but then it seemed like 3-4 different people stopped by my table. I ordered the fajita quesadilla Texana which is one of my go-to dishes for Mexican. Usually it is served in a large tortilla folded in half. Here it was served between two small tortillas and fairly small compared to other restaurants but the price was not. The steak strips had almost no flavor and the shrimp was kind of mushy. My wife and I vacationed in WV from SC and we both love Mexican food! Since I generally trust Yelp reviews, which got high ratings for this restaurant, it was a no brainer to try it out. It is generally a typical Mexican restaurant you would expect to find in SC. The waitress was very nice, even though it seemed she struggled a little bit with English, which was no problem. We both ordered Nacho Supremes that had both beef and chicken in them. It was awesome! They also had a dip that came with the salsa that had cream cheese which was amazing!
