We were quickly brought chips, salsa, and some sort of ranch dip. The drink menu was on a QR code on the table. We placed a drink order. Service was always available. I ordered a flaming spicy margarita. It was actually on fire and i didn't notice and could've burned myself. Both our drinks were good. Photos. She ordered chimichangas. Portion size was perfect. She had chicken, rice and beans. Side of guacamole and all the fixings. Extra charge for extra sour cream we found out. I ordered one burrito and one enchilada. Both chicken. Both good. I came to Campestre thirsty and optimistic. I left... still thirsty, but wiser. Ordered a Dos Equis draft...out. No worries, switched to Miller Lite draft...also out. Turns out all draft beer was out, which feels like something a restaurant should maybe mention upfront? Okay, pivot to Miller Lite bottle...nope, also out. At this point it felt less like ordering drinks and more like playing beer roulette. Finally landed on a Modelo, which miraculously existed. I genuinely felt bad for our waiter, who was clearly doing their best in a very odd situation. Meanwhile, another table actually walked their empty Diet Coke glass to the bar to get a refill, which honestly felt like a cry for help. We paid our bill and left without ordering food because... vibes. The place is very clean and has a nice ambiance, which makes the complete lack of beverages even more confusing. They keep the chips and salsa STOCKED. they have plenty of tvs and a beautiful bar. It's our go to spot for games because it's never crowded and we love bottomless chips and salsa! Excellent Birria quesadilla! The Birria soup was piping hot ( temp wise) , excellent flavor and consistency, not oily at all like most places. Good melty cheese and nice shredded beef portion. Just absolutely enjoyed this dish as I normally don't ever see a quesadillas version. The quesadillas was flour, if you get the taco version those are corn based. Side of thick Mexican sour cream accompanied it. Dessert: the flan was super excellent and rivaled my aunts! Which is a first. The Xango was unique and so delicious. The cream cheese filling combined with the vanilla ice cream rolled in corn flakes was a delight. Love this place. The interior is nice, it's calm and relaxing. The service was fast, kind, and prompt. I really love that they have chilis and herbs growing around the building for fresh ingredients. Chips, salsa, and queso were delicious. My kids loved their meals and they don't like Mexican/Latin food. 1/6/24 My friends were in town for the rodeo and have reserved a large group table. I showed up with my husband and hurried to order as it was close to closing time. Our food came out very quickly. I ordered the fish tacos and my husband got the grilled nachos. Food was served quickly but the flavors were lacking. The fish tacos were decent but could be better. But the nachos were such a surprising disappointment. They were literally bare, just ground chicken with cheese. Nothing else, no other toppings. Not sure if this is how it comes at this location but in many other Mexican restaurants, it's usually covered in all kinds of ingredients. Needless to say, I won't be returning here on my own. In the mood for some Mexican food, my husband and I went to Campestre in Beaumont for dinner a few weeks ago and were really impressed! The restaurant is pretty spacious and there is plenty of room for seating. Our waitress's name was Annabelle and she was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu is extensive and there were a ton of different options to choose from- even with me being vegan. Wee started out with some margaritas that were delicious! Our waitress brought out some complimentary chips and salsa- which should be standard at any good mexican restaurant if you ask me, but sometimes I am surprised when you have to order them. For my entree I ordered the Saltillo Salad which had greens, rice, black beans, and fajita veggies. I added some guac and it made for a great meal! My husband enjoyed his dish as well. We had scheduled and made reservations for Saturday. We had a group of 16 people getting together for a birthday party. Our reservation time was for 7 PM. Several traveled from out of town to meet for the birthday party. As some of us arrived, we were informed that we did not show up for our reservation at 5:45 PM. One of our favorite Mexican places in town! We've never had to wait for a table and the service is always great. The food is a bit nicer than what you would get at a usual Mexican restaurant and the drinks are a good price. I usually have leftovers to take home when I get a dinner portion. I was craving Mexican food and found Campestre through Yelp where I decided to try out for dinner on a Wednesday night. Through Yelp, I was able to join a waitlist on my way there which said there were about 9 parties in front of me. However, when we arrived the restaurant was fairly empty, and we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and brought us chips and salsa, as well as a Mexican ranch that I had never heard of before. I ordered the Enchiladas Guadajalara, which came with rice, lettuce, and a ton of guacamole. My boyfriend got a chicken burrito which was almost the size of the plate. They quickly declined. I kept hear people complain and even the last few times I've been, it was completely different. Service was slow from jump, after they first opened, but now it's almost painful. Today, on my last and probably final visit, the hostess was texting, the waiter flirting with the bar tender, forgetting things. Painful, I tell ya. They now charge $1 for an extra salsa?! I'm not sure that's the case every time though. I think the waiter caught a chip because I interrupted him to ask for another salsa, as he was spitting his game to the bar tender.
