I stayed here during my first visit to Montana and everything was perfect. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. Every morning they had a pretty solid breakfast spread out, which was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the room darkening shades were excellent for a light sleeper like myself. Delightful, cute, impeccably clean interiors and immaculately landscaped exterior. The staff are VERY nice. They have a little restaurant area where our group (and I think everyone else) gets a free coffee and light breakfast. Walking distance to the attractions of the cute and touristy West Yellowstone. You can count blocks on the map but I'd say a 2-minute drive and a 10-minute walk put you in the center of the action. It's not large, an attraction for me as there are many big lodges/hotels arouond with the corporate vibe. This has the family-owned boutique vibe. The rooms are in a small series of cabins. Mine had a nice bed, decent chair and borderline desk (shelf) that actually worked surprisingly well, but that I'd more expect in a NYC studio than rural inn. When I needed more space, I went into a high top table in the common area and worked quietly, not bothering a group chatting in the corner. Oh, and did I forget to mention the flyfishing? That's why we were there -- they worked with the guys at Big Sky Anglers who ran a trip/school for us and it was great. The fishing in this area is great and the setting is simply incredible (e.g., the firehole). They have hooks for your waders outside and a tray for your boots inside -- and even a rod rack if you don't want to break down your rods! read more

My husband and I took a road trip through Park City, Jackson, Grand Teton and Yellowstone NPs this fall, and The Golden Stone Inn was our favorite stay by far. In fact, it's top of our list for one of the best inns we've ever stayed at, ever. The rooms were beautiful, new, lovingly decorated, spacious. They thought of everything, from the robes to the mini fridge to the extra spacious hanging racks. Location could not have been better-- in the center of town but tucked away from main street noise, a mere 10 minutes from Yellowstone's West gate and lots of dining options. A major perk was the awesome homemade breakfast every morning (we got eggs, pancakes, french toast, potatoes... it was amazing. Something different each morning). And at night, smores and cookies around the fire pit in the courtyard. Wow. But the best thing was the hospitality, specifically Cory, who was one of the most genuinely welcoming hosts we've ever had at a hotel, motel or AirBnB. We are not fishermen, but loved hearing his international fishing stories. Cory was so kind to us, making an effort to chat with us and get to know us. And we so enjoyed getting to know him-- not only is he just a good human, but super interesting and well traveled. He gave us some great tips for hidden gems to visit on our way out of town and hooked us up with a place to upcycle our bear spray. I feel like we made a friend, and that's the sort of thing that sticks with you after an extra special vacation. Can't wait until the day we can return for another stay in West Yellowstone and maybe take a fishing lesson or two from Cory. Special place, special people. Traveling cross-country and had to stop at Yellowstone--can't wait to come back for more. We found the Golden Stone Inn via Trip Advisor. What a little gem of a cabins with a boutique hotel flair. Brand new, opened May 2019. What a lovely, comfortable place to stay. Cabin's are spotless and nicely appointed. We are here in July, but can imagine the cozy experience of arriving and finding your snuggly thick, white, terry robes and spa flip-flops. You can also enjoy the seating in evening at the fire pits. Staff was warm and welcoming. Enjoyed the steaming hot coffee delivered to your door in a thermos at 06:00 am. Great touch. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious. This is a great place to start off from or end a day in the park. I have to say that this is the nicest place we have stayed on this trip. We highly recommend the Golden Stone Inn. read more

Nice quiet relaxing cabins on the edge of town across from the Grizzly RV park. There's a grill with fire pit in the connecting courtyard in the center of the cabins. The Golden Stone Inn is the perfect place to stay when visiting Yellowstone. It's so close to the west yellow entrance to the park, you can get a few extra minutes of sleep before you make your way into Yellowstone. The rooms were very clean and super cute. The shower was great and has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We had four girls and there was plenty of space for all of our luggage (hangers, hooks, shelves, a bench, etc). The fire pits were the perfect end to the day. Their included breakfast is awesome and has a wide range of food- something for everyone. The staff was incredible, too. read more

We picked the Golden Stone Inn due to the Convenience of fly fishing with Big Sky Anglers (highly recommend for beginners and expert fishers), and this stay was the absolute best choice by far for West Yellowstone. The private cabins that circles two outdoor fire pits was the perfect way to cap the night after an adventurous day of flyfishing and hiking. Justin who co-found the place is such a cool spirit who made West Yellowstone feel like home, while giving us the absolute best experience from the moment we stepped foot into town, especially this newly open #GoldenStoneInn. The cabins are quaint, warm, and relaxing. The beds were super comfortable and the attention to detail made these cabins a next level vacationing. The staff at the Golden Stone Inn were super accommodating and just welcoming, they listened and executed the perfect stay (and I love to travel ). I enjoyed chatting it up with the staff, and I believe they felt the same way. We had some excellent meals at the Golden Stone that was cooked to perfection and paired with some great wine, or local beer. They also gave us some excellent recommendations for dining in town to add to the unique experience. Every morning I would also wake up to a thermo of delicious hot coffee outside my door (I know amazing right?)followed by a home style breakfast to provide the perfect amount of energy to get my day started. 1000% recommend you staying here! My husband and I were driving though Yellowstone and needed a place to stay for the night. We found this gem during our search and am so happy we did. Everything was great from the start. Staff was very warm and welcoming. The rooms are great size and super stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The room was in impeccable shape. Clean, chic, and cozy. My favorite thing about our stay was the breakfast. It was homemade and was insanely delicious. There was a variety of fresh options- oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, quiche, homemade breads, coffee, juice and tea. This place has done it right! Absolutely look no further. It is the most perfect place in West Yellowstone. I live in AZ and have been coming to this town on and off since 1998. It has really grown and several hotels and accommodations keep popping up. I did my usual google search to see what was new and different. I was very surprised to find a place that meets all of my expectations. Rebecca and the rest of the staff are always spot on and so easy to work with. We where out shooting a commercial as well as some vehicle testing, and had weather issues. We had to cancel our rooms and leave early, wait a week to re-book and come back to finish. Rebecca waived the penalty fees that where clear in the contract. We work in the hotel hospitality business doing corporate events at some amazing properties around the world. This place is a hidden gem. I really liked the updated sophisticated designs and breakfast was very good and consistent everyday. Plus everything works... instant hot water, clean and the list goes on! read more

A thermos of coffee on your doorstep every morning at 6 am for those mornings you try to get to the park early. A great breakfast spread for when you have more time. This little hotel was so incredible! My wife and I found it on Airbnb and will absolutely be staying there again next time we are in the area. The private cabins had a great mix of rustic and modern and the little touches they included were so thought out. The shower soaps were cute and smelled great, they had fresh ground coffee, fire pits outside and a great fresh breakfast in the morning. The TV was big and the bed was so comfortable, this is a great place to come back to after exploring Yellowstone Park all day and you are so close to the west entrance! read more

We had one night to spend in West Yellowstone and wanted somewhere other than a chain hotel setting. We picked a winner with this one. We had a little cabin set not too far from the office. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The cabin itself was practically new. Nice new finishes with a rustic touch. There was room to put your belongings, hang up your wet gear or coats and even a spot for keeping your fishing poles. The bed was very comfortable. It did lack blankets. Just the basic on the bed, with no spare tucked anywhere in the room. There was a continental breakfast with grab and go type food. read more

A last minute cancellation from a resort outside of town landed us in this gem of a location. The staff was so friendly, their park advice made for a much better experience for our family, which I found invaluable. You can tell the owners have a lot of pride, passion and ownership in this place. They let us check in early. The rooms are comfortable, clean, modern and cute. Storage spaces were perfect for us and our gear. Close to everything, but tucked away enough to be away from the bustle and feel secure with our truck and gear. I am somewhat disappointed. Was intending to spend a few days touring Yellowstone Park and enjoying some family time in our private cabin here. While the park never ceases to amaze, this hotel / put cabin complex has left me unimpressed. For the cost (nearly $350 a night, plus fees and taxes, 2 nights were over 700 dollars) I was expecting far more. First off, you can't check in until 4... a little late after a long day of traveling. Our room had no coffee filters for the coffee machine in morning (had to hunt these down at the check in desk the next day... ps, they don't staff the desk until 7:30 am, breakfast was lean.... but in COVID times I did expect that... but the topper was when we came back to our room after a day in the park (around 3) and our room still had not been cleaned. After going to the check in desk to inquire, I met two ladies chatting casually..... turns out one is the cleaning lady. Whats more my cabin door was wide open and all of our possessions, medications (and uncleaned room) were unsecured and on display for who knows how long. After the ladies realized I was in fact a guest I was assured they were getting right to it.... now 3:30.... no one in my room still. This place has all the hallmarks of a nice place. But so far the service. guest relations and attention to detail has been very poor. For the price, I expected more. Save your money and find another place... pretty sure other hotels here would appreciate you and your business. read more
