Way too crowded with trailers. Couldn't even park in customer parking. I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing a camper there for service. Had to park on the street. Everything sucked except for our sales person. I had such a bad experience there. Sales managers ignoring my wife and I. Finance people also ignoring my wife and I. Saying we're good for our appointment and then while we were sitting there, they're up front BS'ing with their buddies and not even being on time. I talked to the group of people sitting in their elevated platform office, asking for some help closing a DONE DEAL and they asked if I would give them a shot at earning my financing to "save me some money" I said OK but let's make it quick. We sat there for another hour and a half and I was finished. I told them I wanted my down payment back and I walked away from the deal. I have never wanted to express my anger more and been held back by my wife. They asked for consideration and they spit in my face. They deserve NONE of your business!! Spend your money somewhere else!! (One last thing, the trailer they were going to sell me had an undisclosed crack in the front windshield. That's a $2000 repair that would've been mine if my wife didn't see it before we walked out.) NEVER CAMPING WORLD AGAIN!!!! Not even if my life depends on it. I'd welcome the dirt nap! The staff is all so amazing. Front desk always smiling. I had shopped in their store before and they're helpful too (I've rented before but pretty much a novice on the ins and outs). The salesman I had for the camper van I was interested in buying, Schmitty, was very patient with me as I considered two different vehicles. Like others have said, do NOT come here!!!! We bought a BRAND NEW, 2026 camper and when driving it home, the slide was broken and actually came out driving down the road! They also left notes in the camper that stated the door had been damaged on transport but was not fixed. Several other things were broken after we did our own inspection because they try to fly through it hoping you don't see all the issues. We took our camper back in and dropped it off with all the issues explained. We were told someone would be on it asap to get it checked out, that was 4 weeks ago with no call backs and no follow ups. Husband just drove two hours to talk to someone in person and told us still haven't even looked at it. WORST customer service I have ever experienced. These guys literally do not care and fairly certain this email they tell you to complain to is a joke as well. Again, DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! We have a brand new 2026 camper, making payments on that we are not even able to use, and they wouldn't even give us a timeframe to get updates on. These guys deserve negative stars!!!! read more

Bought our first rv from them last year. When initially leaving it for service it was a nightmare. Needed a rear window seal and they said it was done but was never touched. Someone kicked in a floor panel, needed a new radio with back up camera, while being serviced they broke the wall panel and that had to be ordered and replaced, while in their care someone was using the unit as the bedspread was all black and someone had exploded a soda in the fridge and we don't drink soda. After leaving it for 3 months we go to pick it up and nothing was done. Once they finally bothered to complete everything after the 3 months when we picked it up they stated it was ready but when we got there the hood was off, the dip stick was removed and left on the ground. The tech decided he was done for the day and that is how he left our RV. Absolute nightmare in their service department. Then once talking with a manager her apppeared minimally concerned and offered very little in a discount our compensation. Avoid them at all costs. Absolute horrific experience read more

PULLING YOUR CREDIT WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSIONS! Where do I start...oh yeah, Anthony pulled my credit report after I told Camping World not to pull my credit several times because I was trying to buy a house. I was told by Anthony it was an accident because he was busy and just kept pulling people's credit. I had them draft up a letter stating this to show my mortgage lender and realtor. After that, I was still going to buy a popup trailer from them. They asked I put $2k and we had a deal. I asked Gary if I could put $1k and we would have a deal. He said he would call me back that day. No call. Today, I get a call from Justice asking for paperwork to finish the deal. I explained to him that I was waiting for Gary to confirm the deal and he told me that now I am to put $5.8k down! What!? No thanking you. Be aware of camping world. I am looking into the law of pulling someone's credit without their permission now! read more

The service department does not answer their phone, so I took my rv shades in to be repaired or replaced. They determined that Winnebago no longer offers the shade and they could not repair them. I took them home and repaired them myself. Power to my driver seat failed. They still did not answer the phone, so I took it in. Without looking, the service representative said that Mercedes-Benz had to do the maintenance. I took it to Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz actually looked and sent me to Camping World in Golden, CO. That Camping World put two mechanics on it and repaired it while I waited. read more

STILL wasn't ordered last week when had rig in C Spgs for another matter. OH and temp tags expire soon so we called finance in Longmont- they never sent title to DMV but then- " we were busy". Camping World Service Department Fountain / Colorado Springs damaged our Class A RV when we had it in for Insurance Repair. We did not purchase our Class A RV from Camping World because we had a bad experience with their Sales Department years ago. Years ago we were purchasing a 5th Wheel. We asked the salesman what the "Final Cost out the door price including taxes, fees & price. FINAL COST!! He gave us the amount. We secured our financing had a check in hand and went to pick our new trailer only to be told taxes weren't included. Final cost out the door including taxes and fees confused him. We ended up going elsewhere. Fast forward a few years. The hail storm we had back in August 2023 damaged our one year old Class A. Our insurance company had us take it to Camping World. When we finally got it back while the service rep was with us we noticed damage. She told us it must have been damaged when the transport rep who drove it to Denver for repair. "He must have pushed too hard." The RV going to Denver is a whole other surprise and story. Sigh The rep & a service tech couldn't fix it. We were then told it was a warranty issue and not their responsibility even though it was damaged when they had it. It wasn't a warranty issue. It was in perfect condition when we dropped it off. Low mileage and a little over a year old. I have spoken with many Camping World Representatives and they keep denying responsibility. I have also left numerous phone messages with Camping World Main Headquarters. No return calls. I do not recommend Camping World Fountain / Colorado Springs for Sales or Service. read more

I was told that they would have it ready in 3 days I went up in 4 and this is when they told me it would be 3-4 weeks before it would be ready so l told them to bring it up front and I would take it home and fix it myself. I got it home and they had all the panels still off so they gave it back to me without putting it back together. So something that is under warranty just cost me $225.00 and an hour of my time. I talked the the GM and OK yelled at him and he say so what is the problem like he did not care. They will be nice till you buy then they will f**k you. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. read more

where to begin, I wanted to trade in my 2019 salem forest river cruise lite 263bhxl at camping world. I made the appointment with Rod Oson. They look at my trailer and came back with roof needing replaced (hail damage) and a long line of other issues. Rod told us to make an insurance claim because of the damage and if we were to trade our trailer in we would have to pay camping world 20 grand. We contacted progressive insurance and they came out to look at roof. They reported no hail damage, so I was a little confused so requested camping world to do an inspection themselve. Guess what, no hail damage. During this time we went to see about possibly upgrade to a rv by trading in our current rv, guess what they wanted another 20 grand from us to get into a used rv, which we already had. Anyway we said not to that. So went to pickup my Salem and would you believe I waited over 2 hours to leave because they had lost my keys. Camping world had the replace the lock mechanism on the Salem because they could not find the keys. The also did not offer their military discount on the service that I had them due. And when I asked for any pictures to see if work was done they informed me that they do not take pictures of completed work. so I have to take their word that work was done. Even after them lying to me about hail damaged roof. I would stay far away from camping would if you would like to not loss your shirt on and type of deal from camping world. I would give this place negative stars if I could. Predatory practices, swindling, sweet talking, and manipulation were just some of the things that we experienced buying our RV. They said the buying experience would only take an hour... it took 4 hours and we had to stay there until 8:00p.m., with the employees "helping" us constantly leaving for extended periods of time (30min plus). They said that the buying process would be nothing like buying a car... It was exactly like buying a car, haggling and all. They said they could knock down the price to 35k... they put it down as 35,999$, and included other things (such as an "essential care package"... that was extremely overpriced and included things we didn't need) that increased the price to way more than what was on the price flier. They gave us a payment plan of more than 400$/month for 240 months... which is 20 YEARS, plus an insane interest rate tagged on that (if we couldn't afford to pay the RV off within the year, then we would, in the end, pay around 96k). They said we were all good with our current truck and that it would be able to pull and hold the RV... we are not. After researching more, we found out (with no help from Camping World,) that we need a higher payload capacity than what our current truck has. Camping World was going to let us take this RV with our current truck WITHOUT warning us about the risks of not having a high enough payload, which would have actively put us in danger. We are now having to look at buying a new truck with a higher payload because our current truck can't handle the pressure of the RV. The people working here are horrible. They try to swindle and sweet talk you into rushing the buying process in many, many ways. DO NOT GO HERE. Pick literally any other place to purchase an RV. This business is trash, and the employees are all rotten. read more

I would choose less stars if I could. I bought a Girard tankless water heater from here and it never worked. I call the parts department on day 2 and ask if i could return it, they said no since it had been installed. Which I understand. When I asked for help fixing it, they were completely useless and either didn't hear nor care that I live over 100 miles away and couldn't bring my rig in to get the brand-new water heater fixed. It was almost like once they sell you something, they wash their hands of it. I have never heard "we cant" so many times from a business I called Windish and explained my situation and they asked how they could help. Made suggestions on what would make it easier on me. I HIGHLY recommend that if you have a choice, got to WINDISH for your parts and service. More helpfully than Camping World. read more

I gave them one star because I couldn't give a zero. It's no surprise their average rating is 2 stars. We took our 2021 Class C in for warranty work on Oct 1 2020 and finally got it back in March. We received ZERO updates during this time and only got information when our service rep accidentally answered the phone and had to talk to us. They do not return calls or emails. We asked them to fix a USB port that wasn't working. They claimed they completed the work, but when we picked up the RV it hadn't been done and they managed to break the radio not doing it! They said, "It's a Ford problem." They damaged our awning when moving the unit around on their lot and had to order a replacement. When we asked when parts would be in we got a shrug. "Don't know cuz COVID." I understand there may be difficulty in getting parts, but "because COVID" is not excuse for bad customer service. When I complained about the length of time it took and the work not done, the Service Manager (Shawn) smiled and nodded his head and waited for me to leave. Never again, Camping World! read more

Honestly, wouldn't recommend the service part. Thais is why I'm give such a low review. I bought a travel trailer from them with the extended warranty. The sales reps were always nice to me no complaints there. My problem started when I had noticed that the cables that hold my slides were fraying at the end. So I called them and I explain to them what was going on, unfortunately at the time the guy that was servicing my trailer had passed away so it took them forever to even get back with me. I can understand but I called once a month for a year and then finally I get my travel trailer inv they fix all these different things in my trailer, except for the frayed lines that I originally called them about but they dragged it out long enough for my extended warranty to go out so they didn't have to fix it. ‍ at this point I really wonder if they actually did all that work they said they did to my slides because none of the lines have been changed. I'll add a picture of it. And then they try to make me feel bad I guess you can say and say oh you got a good deal because we replace a $2000 converter on your trailer even though that's not what I brought it in for and how did you even know it was a problem it's underneath my fridge on the whole other side of my trailer not by my slides, you would have to have taken that apart, pulled it out to have known that a mouse chewed the wire, so what were you really doing? read more

Nobody calls to provide the status of repairs. The Service manager should be removed from his position; I was advised that the person who was PMing the work to my camper hadn't been around for about a month. The Service manager should have re-assigned the job to another person or taken control of the project. There isn't a quality control person involved before you pick up your camper, you are that person. Quick to sell the camper, downhill after that. I truly wish I could give zero stars!!! The service department is the worst. We went in to schedule some suspension work. It was made clear that we live in our motorhome. They agreed to order the parts and call us when the parts were in, which they did. We dropped our home off and were told it would be about five days. A week went by and we hadn't heard anything so we called and were told our home was next in line to be worked on...they hadn't even started the work after a week. On day nine, they called to tell us they hadn't ordered a certain bracket that was needed. They said they would have it expedited. On day 14 of them having our home we were told the bracket was in. We told them we'd be there at close of business to pick up our home. They close at 7:00 so we arrived at 6:45 only to be told the service department had gone for the day and the girl at the counter had no idea what was going on. On day 16, they called to inform us that there was some "bar" that had to be removed and it would cost an extra $500. At that point we told them we wanted our home back and wanted a full refund of any work that wasn't done. We arrived to discover they had not done any work at all!!! They had our home for 16 days and did nothing! I asked to speak to the manager, but he was "in a meeting". I will never go to Camping World again!!! read more

This is the worst place for service/warranty work on RVs. What makes it even worse is that it is the only place that is approved for warranty work for all Jayco.products. I made an appointment months in advance for warranty work to be done, I dropped it off at the beginning of November 2023. I followed up on line and called multiple time to service rep. and was told it was done the beginning of March. To my surprise, the mud flaps that I spoke multiple time about were not repaired. In addition, the shower door was not repaired and when they installed the washer/dryer, they damaged the closet and did not repair it. They left mud all over the Rv and oily handprints. Some of the service technicians were so unprofessional and untrained that other technicians just shook their head when the substandard work was pointed out. We spoke with Jessica the service manager about the problems and she committed to have all the problems addressed and given the highest priority so we could pick it up a week later. When we returned, they had not started the work. They said it was a communication problem. This is a complete failure of management, so therefore there is no promise that this situation will improved. read more

Very rude customer service when greeted. Was there because I wanted to look into purchasing 2-3 trailers. I do not wear a mask because I have medical conditions. Upon walking in, two girls at the front were arguing with me about putting on a mask. I never felt greeted in any way and it just felt very unprofessional. The manager did come finally after they called her. She was fine with me wearing no mask but it just honestly ruined the whole experience for me. If you are going to buy and spend money at a business you want to feel appreciated. Will be going to elsewhere to purchase what I need. I don't think I am a fan of buying from an RV show vs purchasing at the location. The minor discount is fine, but I would prefer an RV that hasn't had 4000+ people and their rambunctious children (I understand not all children are, but they are out there) running around and jumping and slamming around in it. This results in having to have things repaired before we even enjoy it. Also, having to deal with one location because that is where our RV is vs the location where our salesman proved complicated. Our finance guy, Nate, and the GM, Patrick (Wheatridge location), did a fantastic job considering the circumstances. Nate took calls from us and did great answering our questions and was so understanding when we had to reschedule our pick-up 2x due to the weather. Their patience with my husband so late in the evening was amazing. Thank you both! Roy, who was in service, was also a tremendous help; he worked hard and diligently to get us what we needed. He explained clearly why we couldn't have what we wanted and gave us the solution. I want to give props to Adam in the Colorado Springs location for working with us for 2.5 years; he was always patient and did not push us. He let us simmer and stew till we figured out what we wanted. I can't say enough great things about Adam. Some might say that makes him a lousy salesperson for letting us continuously walk out the door for that long. Not for us, it has made him a fantastic salesman in our eyes, and we are very grateful for him. We weren't happy he wasn't at the show when we decided so he could get credit for his hard work. He deserves recognition. James was at the show and was very attentive and responsive, even after the sale. He remembered us and was quick to assist in getting answers to questions. (FYI, I do not like to deal with multiple salespersons) He did a good job with everything. He had a great disposition and was patient with us at the show. He even brought the Cougar rep to speak with us directly to answer any questions about the particular RV we were interested in. (He had big shoes to fill since we were partial to Adam) Since picking up our RV, Shelly in Service in our local store (Colorado Springs) has been great. There were some issues with our RV; she has been great with communicating and caring for us. I am a Good Sam member and have purchased a vast majority of my RV supplies through camping world-at local stores and on-line. Today I needed a few items to resupply before heading out to Zion NP. I passed a Walmart which was much closer specifically to give camping world my business. The retail section was the only area I visited. In a word my experience was terrible. No one offered to help me and when I finally found most of what I needed I headed to the checkout area. The greeting I received was patronizing at best. The lady seemed annoyed that I interrupted her. I tried to engage her with small talk but to no benefit. She just wasn't a happy person. I understand people have bad days but I was very disappointed with her lack of kindness. A simple sincere hello and polite interaction would have resulted in a much better review and my future business. I likely won't return. read more

I really liked the salesman and the lady in finance, and I liked the guy who was supposed to teach us all about the various parts of the camper (furnace, hot water heater, etc). But ultimately a few big omissions were made by Camping World: 1) When viewing the camper prior to purchase battery was in a black plastic case/cover. Upon pick up the case/cover was missing 2) They charged $500 for a new mattress & extra propane tank. I had to ask repeatedly for the second propane tank (would have preferred a second battery instead) 3) Asked repeatedly to be shown how to get the slide-in in manually if the electrical fails. Was told to look online. There is no information online about how to do this. 4) Asked repeatedly about the hot water heater. How it works, how to trouble shoot, etc. Was brushed off and told 'just turn the button on and it'll work'. Turns out that was far from the truth! The hot water heater is under the bed and has valves that need to be turned on to allow water to enter the tank. I wasn't advised of this, and a hot water heater will burn out if ran empty. There is an option to run it on electric or propane (wasn't advised of this). The gas switch is located inside (what I was shown), the electric switch is located outside (which I wasn't shown, and was covered with tape). Luckily I didn't burn out the heater trying to run it when the tank was empty. I educated myself watching several videos. 5) During the in person demonstration/tutorial they were proud to let me know that the gray and black water tanks were clean and dry. We had the black water tank back up the first two times we used it (yes, poop was backed into the toilet both times). Turns out you should NEVER let your black water tank dry out, and you should start every trip with water in the tank. This is to prevent a 'poop pyramid' (which they never told me about). Luckily it's a 'wet bath' so the shower pan is below the toilet so the overflow could be easily washed down the shower drain. So while the camper itself is in good working order and every one was nice and friendly, the demonstration/tutorial at pick up missed a lot of crucial things. Anyone who has any experience with a camper and hot water heater & black water tank should know these things themselves, and should know how important it is to educate new RV owners about them. read more

Let me tell you about my Camping World experience. Purchase a new Montana High Country from Camping World. Had to turn it in for warranty work shortly after purchase. Camping World in Longmont Colorado hit my unit with another camper. Had to wait over 3 months for repair. After it was repaired Camping World returned my unit. During transport all the trim they removed for the warranty work fell off and knocked holes in my floor, damaged the table, and cabinets. Had to turn it back in for trim and floor repair. They had it for another 4 months before all the trim was replace. Table was on back order, I waited an additional 3-4 months for the table. Once the table arrived, I turned the Unit in to the Colorado Springs so the table could be installed. The Colorado Springs store put screws in the table that were too long, the first time I used the camper the screw caught the linoleum floor and tore 2 gashes about 8 inches long in the floor. When I contacted the Service Manager, he told me sorry and gave me a number to a repair place to get it repaired, on my dime. IT ONLY GETS BETTER. Shortly after that I had to turn the unit in for a AC repair and buffing for sun fade. Unfortunately I had to use Camping World in Colorado Springs because I purchased the extended warranty through them. While waiting for the AC repair, Camping World of Colorado Springs, hit my unit again. Again, I waited 3 months for body repair. Once repaired it was returned and I was told it was going to take a couple of days for them to get the unit buffed out. A few weeks later I was called and told it was ready for pickup. When I arrived and inspected the unit I found that they had bent the rear landing gear and damaged the spare tire mount moving the unit around the lot. Again, I was asked to leave the unit so that they could get the landing gear and spare tire mount replaced. Another few months went by and I was called again and told that the unit was ready. I arrived, did my walk around and found that the landing gear was still bent. They replaced the landing leg but didn't bother to check the frame. Come to find out they bent the frame along with the landing gear. I contacted the Regional Manager, He assured me that he would take care of the issue if I would leave the unit for a few more days. I agreed. A few days later I stopped by to get a few items from the trailer. When I walked over to my trailer, I noticed that they had hit it again and damaged the front right side to the wood frame. I contacted the Corporate team and made a complaint. They guaranteed me that they would make it right. They asked me to check the stock availability and provide them with a few units I might be interested in. I provided them with what they requested. I was contacted by the sales manager of the Camping World of Colorado Springs and told they he was working to make me a deal. I told him that I was not interested in purchasing a new camper. I made it clear that I did not ask them to damage my unit, and it was unacceptable that they had my camper for over 9 months because of the damage they caused. I was not willing to pay another dime to replace it. Of course, they have not contacted me sense that conversation. Worse company I have ever dealt with. Key words: if financed they will sneak in extras, breached contract ( unable to install a hitch) they had to unwind the deal, failed to do so. Ended up with a camper payment due and no camper. Had to fight to get them to unwind the deal like they said they would. Do not go here. Customer service was contacted throughout the process with no follow-up or guidance. Complaints fall on the deaf ears of this corporation. read more

This transaction took place in Sept/20121If you are looking to buy an RV of any kind don't look at any other place than the Camping World in Colorado Springs. I have never had a more pleasurable shopping experience in my whole life. That statement does not come lightly considering I have had two dozen cars and three campers during this time and THIS was the best experience of them all. My wife and I were interested in a class C and after looking online at CW inventory we decide to stop by. Upon arriving we were greeted, very cheerfully , by a young lady in the lobby and then was introduced to a very polite salesman by the name of Steven De Luna. After a few questions from Steven we proceeded out to the lot and looked at a few class C. Steven was a very easy-going young man with great conversational skills. After looking at a few units we decided on one. The class C we liked was a little more (we thought) than we could handle BUT with the calm and casual encouragement from Steven we decided to crunch a few numbers with the financial department. During this whole time the atmosphere was never stressed or pressured from anyone at the dealership. As a matter of fact it was quite the opposite. Many people at the dealership were happy, always offering us refreshments and their help any way possible. Within a few days, to our surprise, we were able to purchase our "dream come true" class C RV . We returned to the dealership with amazement, we were greeted with congratulations and a sign with our name on it in the lobby. We were given special badges and offered refreshments. We then started the process of picking up our RV. We met just about everybody in the dealership from the service manager, to the service tech, the financial department employees and even the general manager who stop by for a hearty and warm handshake. Everyone in the dealership was patient and answered all questions as they went through the unit with thoroughness. The RV was absolutely spotless and ready to go. After four months of waiting for the title work, we came to register our camper today and this crappy company did not calculate proper sales tax. 2k later we are out the door of the DMV. After the hassle of chasing down our paperwork, this is not a company I would recommend, or purchase from ever again. read more
