I went in to CW in Fountain (CoSpri) to have my 2013 Forest River Georgetown appraised for sale, and got lowballed like you can't imagine. New ac units, new furnace and hot water heater, 29000 miles. Every major system works (one slide is a tidge jerky, but then again he did open it over a window screen which scraped the floor and needed to be wrenched out). A cabinet door needs replacing, one storage door is spring, and molding in a few spots needs to be fixed- all minor items. I have 5 200w solar panels on the roof and an 8 battery bank added- it runs everything all at once forever, which is a hell of an upgrade. He tried to talk me down from the Nada value of 52k (low) to 35k I can only assume this behavior is indicative of the CW culture as a whole. I won't be going back, for any reason. read more

STAY AWAY! If I could give 0 stars I would. I thought the Camping World in St Augustine FL was the worst but these folks are just as bad. I have a leaking main sink in my class C coach and brought it to St Augustine. They "repaired" it and it broke again on my way to Colorado for vacation. I asked if they could send someone out from Colorado springs to fix and was told no. After a letter to the corporate office, they agreed to fix it again. a few months later, I moved permanently to CO and the sink broke again in Pensacola FL. When I got to CO I called the CO Springs office and they told me to bring it in and they would fix it and get paid by the St Augustine office. I did, and it was 4 weeks before I finally called and asked about it. The call wasn't returned I called again, and again. On the 3rd try, I got the response that my issue was sent to the GM for approval to fix it. AFTER 4 WEEKS! This is week 5 and again I called on Tuesday and was told I will call you back this afternoon. 2 days later nothing. UPDATE - Received a call yesterday saying all that needed to be done was the paperwork so I could go pick up my coach. In addition, I was told that the previous work done on the coach was done poorly (in St Augustine). Was told I would get a call at the end of the day to arrange pickup for tomorrow. Once again, no call. This company as a whole is the absolute worst. If you ever watched the television show "The Profit" you would be just as frustrated. Marcus Lemonis (Owner of Campingworld/Gander) professes to take care of the customer. Well, a lot of talk and little to no action. During the St Augustine nightmare, I complained to corporate about the lack of communication and I received a $50 gift card. But, I couldn't use it on service work. I went to Camping World to buy a generator for my new small camper. The salesman was somewhat helpful in choosing the right generator and told me before I purchase, I should compare prices with other companies/stores. I did, but could not find the same one nor one of same price, so I returned to Camping World. Before I made the purchase, I wanted to make sure that the generator will fit on my carrier. Being in a box, it didn't, and I was told they will not take it out of the box. I went back home and put my old, wider carrier on and a week later I returned to Camping World, for the third time. It was at Black Friday time and Camping World was advertising discounts. When I walked in, this time I was rather ignored. Any answer to my question was "if you want", "it's up to you", or "read the manual". When I asked the younger salesman to come out and measure the height of the bottom of the carrier to the air conditioner, he said he couldn't leave the desk, although there were two salesmen. The older salesman kept telling me that they could not take the generator out of the box and set it on the carrier or even put it on the carrier, and I will need someone to help me. I told him I didn't have anybody to help me and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. He then disappeared and I just stood there waiting. Then I was told he went to the bathroom, but never returned, so the younger salesman took over at my request. He told me the price as advertised with the tax. When I came to the register, the price jumped nearly $150, and if I wanted a discount, I had to be a club member, and I will be "surprised" how much I will save. So I actually paid what I was quoted in the first place plus an unnecessary club membership fee. When I asked about the advertised black Friday discount, I was just dismissed that it doesn't apply. Then there was called another young big strong man to help to put the generator into the back of my car. So two young men lifted the box into my car, but refused to set it on the carrier, where I could just cut the box and have it in place. I am 74 yrs old and I was left alone to handle it on my own. Every time we go somewhere that sells anything with wheels we are hounded by vultures that go by the name "salesmen". EVERY time we've been to Camping World we get greeted, then get offered assistance by a sales person and if we say we are just looking we are left alone to do just that. How on Earth are you supposed to get RV service from these people? I used their online booking system to schedule an appointment, and all it does is take the details then tell you at the end that someone will call back to confirm the appointment. Of course, nobody ever called. I then tried calling (twice) to schedule an appointment, but the service folks are apparently always too busy to take a call, so I get the "I will have someone call you back" treatment and guess what - nobody ever called back. If this wasn't warranty work that I need doing, I would be going somewhere else for sure. Very poor customer service. read more

My wife and I just bought a 2022 Forest River Vibe 28BH from them. We were going to sell our house and live in it full time as we transition out of the military. As we are getting ready to sell the house and get the trailer ready. We realized the main fridge does not work at all. They can't even get us in to "look at it" until October. They won't even fix it at that point. They have to go through the warranty then order parts. So who knows when we can actually live in it full time. Worst repair shop ever. I dropped off my RV on February 10th so they could repair damage to the unit that happened in their lot when I left it there the last time. A simple trim piece on the back end of the unit. Coming up on 30 days now. I've had to cancel two trips now. When I call to get an update it's the same script. I'm next in line. Can't even give them one star at the moment, it's been a mess since the day AFTER the purchase of the vehicle, primarily the location north of Denver, BUT we purchase the vehicle from here, and they've been fairly absent during most of the mess we've experienced. In short this is the current status: In the 193 days we have "owned" the recreational vehicle the balance of locations is as such Camping World OR Rush Ford (at Camping Worlds request) for repairs: around 138 days or thereabouts... Our household for actual use: about 55 days. Camping World (and Rush Ford) have owned OUR 2021 RV for almost 3x the time we have. AND still we are waiting for repairs to be completed, parts to arrive and a myriad of other issues (scratches on side in their possession etc.) Needless to say PLEASE let this serve as a warning to others. read more

Don't take your camper here, get any service done, or buy from here. We have had our trailer there for 5 1/2 weeks just to get an estimate done on it. When my husband would call the guy named diesel, he would never return our calls and told him that he would only communicate by email. Then we got a call today telling us that our trailer and 8 others were broken into last night. Camping world will not cover and damages or lost items. They make u sign a paper that they r not responsible. When I asked about cameras, they said they don't have any. You mean to tell me with all those campers you have no cameras? Really? We say RUN, don't WALK away from this place... We purchased a HEARTLAND RK280 2021 from these folks in about Sept. 2020 on our 4th camping trip in August of 2021 the floor started lifting off of the joists and is squeaking. Camping World told us to bring it in on Oct. 7th, 2021 and they would repair it. It was covered under warranty by HEARTLAND. Camping World called us on Jan 7th, 2022 to tell us the repair was done and we could pick it up on Sat. the 8th of Jan. We opened the door to our trailer and stepped in and low and behold the floor is still squeaking although Bart had assured that "he" had a ROBUST employee walk across it and it wasn't squeaking. My husband went back in to get Bart to come listen to the floor and he REFUSED to even come out and address the issue. We brought the trailer home and crawled under it and discovered that CAMPING WORLD had cut a hole into the undercarriage and attempted to patch it with some kind of SILVER tape that according to BART was the "best" and would hold forever, spoiler alert the tape didn't even hold the 1.5 hr drive to our home. Not only is there a HOLE in the undercarriage, but for some reason they removed ALL of the nuts and bolts holding the undercarriage to the frame of the trailer. We called and my husband spoke to Kevin who claimed he was the MGR. of the Service Dept., he told my husband that HE had pics. of the repairs but COULDN'T send them to us as his tech had them with him, but he would send us the nuts and bolts to fix where they had been removed. I sent an email to Camping Worlds customer service and was contacted by someone named MARCUS who said that someone named "LEMONIE" wanted him to address these issues. In the meantime, HEARTLAND says that Camping World is responsible for the "re-repair" and HEARTLAND is not. My husband was contacted by DENNIS RIDGE of Camping World who wanted him to send over the HEARTLAND email, which my husband did, A WEEK AGO... So here we sit, the snow is blowing at our home, the Canyon we travel to get to Camping World has 8" of snow, we are getting snow, and the DAMNED undercarriage to our trailer is still open (rodents are a concern) and NO word from MARCUS, BART, KEVIN or DENNIS regarding how this will be worked out. I have sent not one but 2 emails to DENNIS asking him to contact us via email as playing phone tag is counter productive. New Pioneer trailer took four months for repair. This unit went in for vent repair, lights, rebuild of wall, pocket door and metal shards in the carpet. Camping world is so badly overloaded in Maintence shop that their is not attention to the work orders. The trailer was return with only a select few items repaired. Upon inspection they broke the stereo and knocked a hole in the wall in the sleeping quarters. Pioneer trailers made by Heartland are hands down the worst RV trailer I have ever dealt with. When you have issues with your air conditioner on your Airstream while on vacation you're generally at the mercy of repair places along the route. July 23rd was a totally great experience with Camping World of Fountain, CO. Bart Chilton, Service Advisor greeted my husband asking how he could help... he and his fellow technicians, Matt and Jerry jumped right into action to get us back on the road. While we had breakfast and did a little shopping they went to work and had Fred Richardson and I back on the road by noon. We had been turned away by 3 or 4 places to boot before we found them. We were skeptical about doing business with this retailer after reading some of the previous reviews, but it seemed to be a pretty 50/50 toss up and we were eager to make a purchase and get our family out for some adventures. I wish we would have went somewhere else now. We took our brand-new camper, purchased in April and hasn't left the driveway, out this past weekend for the first time. While we had a great time at the site we selected, we will be forever thankful they had showers and hot water because we did not! Yep, hot water heater did not work. My annoyance with Camping World in Fountain comes from me calling today SEVERAL times about what to do for this issue and letting them know we planned on taking it back out this coming weekend, and I did not receive one call back. It is now 5pm and I called my first time at 9:15. I asked if there was a voicemail box I could leave my information in, was told no. The lady I spoke with said the people that I needed to speak with were 'very busy' with customers and appointments. I asked if I should just drive my camper up there and drop it off, was told no. We took our brand new motorhome in for the warranty repairs and it took 2 months to get an appointment. Once we left it with them to have the work done, they had it there for 5 months. During those 5 months, we called a number of times trying to get updates and could not get them to return the call or give us an ETA. Wasn't until I called and complained to the corporate number did we get someone to call us to pick it up. When we got it back, it was disgustingly dirty that it was unbelievable. I called to talk with someone about it and no one has returned the call. There are now other repairs/damage that need repairing from the work that they did. My family and I walked in looking to buy a fifth wheel and had questions since this will be our first RV purchase. I have a hard time walking and use a cane and walking the lot became increasingly difficult. We had several employees look at us and just walk by. We saw older customers being helped and some driven in golf carts which just made me mad since we were there before some of the other customers. We could not find anyone to help us or even answer questions. We might be in our 30s but it doesn't mean we aren't serious buyers and should just get looked over. The staff at this place handled my trailer with the utmost professionalism and managed to do all my work incredibly quickly. They actually were honest to down sell me parts (stabilizer) that I needed while the other dealership swore I needed the top of the range one. I was skeptical so they showed me the science and I was sold. Just a great bunch of people and never felt more helpful staff ever. We broke down 10/20. The guy we dealt with at K&C told us on 10/21 that we needed the axle and that it would be 2-3 weeks for the repair. He didn't put a rush on the order (we asked that he do that and if there was a fee we would pay it) and the part didn't get ordered until Monday the 24th! My nephew who owns a motorcycle shop and used car sales business couldn't believe that it would take that long to get the part. So in his attempt to find the part sooner through his connections he stumbled across our actual order at the manufacturer and it wasn't scheduled to build until 11/2 and ship on 11/8. He explained the situation and the manufacturer said they would push the order through faster and actually ship on 11/2. Now why didn't K&C place the order that way? We were broken down 1,800 miles from home! Then the guy who was our contact and K&C waited for the part to arrive to even begin to schedule the repair although FEDEX advised both of us via email that it would be delivered on 11/9. I called on 11/10 to check on the progress (foolishly thinking that it would be worked on that day) and he didn't even know that the part was delivered the day before! He said that the work would begin on Tuesday 11/16; one week later. No empathy or sense of urgency for our plight - a hotel and food expenses for 3+ weeks w/2 dogs. Thank goodness that the technician who fixed the rv did a good job, the lot guy was great and very helpful, Bart got us in sooner than originally scheduled, but it was still Monday the 15th. After waiting for over an hour for our contact person to "hear" from the warranty company Lorna overheard the situation and jumped in to help us. She contacted the warranty company, provided the necessary documents, and then processed our paperwork so we could head home. On a side note, I tried to purchase something at the Camping World store and the cashier, who was painting her nails at the time, told me that "corporate" likes us to only do one receipt so we should pay for our tablecloth weights with our repair bill. This was wrong. So Lorna had to ring that up too. Needless to say, this was not a good experience. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAMPER HERE!!! The sales are fine, but they will sell you product then leave you behind, though assured during the sale that is not the case. They show you around the service department like they are proud of it. I purchased a brand new camper and it had problems througout the first season, and in speaking with Camping World it was decided best if I would bring in after the camping season on a date THEY selected to have the warranty work completed. It has now been 7 months and the camper has yet to be in the shop. Every time I call I get the same story, notes are not updated, let me get infomation to service manager and they will call you back. I have received no timeline of when it can be fixed. After several calls I was finally transfered to one of the service managers, Jeff; he told me that they have campers there for over a year to be fixed, and with no remorse or concern, just simply pushed me aside and told me they can only do so much in a day. I bought my Keystone camper from the Fountain,CO location. The sales department was absolutely wonderful to my wife and I, but now 2 almost 3 years later I have realized there service department could careless about us as a customer. I have 2 recalls on my camper and I was told I needed to drive to Greeley, CO to get it worked on. That is a 2 plus hour drive from my house. The Fountain location is at most a 10 minute drive. The service guy was rude and didn't care about what I was asking. He only wanted to tell me about other dealers or roadside services I could use. I was so disappointed that even though the sales department was so great I will never buy anything from them again. Just goes to show that using one of the largest dealers in America they don't care about you after the sale. read more

They had it in stock and offered to hold it for me since they only had one I arrived the next day and met Carol the cashier in the parts department who was very helpful. She smiled as she greeted me and really made me smile because she made me feel welcome. When I settled my business in parts, I went up front and met Adam L. @ sales rep who assisted me with my request to see a 5th wheel. I recently pursed a new truck, and needed a new Shank for my tow hitch. (the "L" piece bolted into the ball") As the new truck is larger that the old. I was going to make use of the old shank long enough to tow my trailer down to Camping World in Fountain CO. I called to confirm that they would have a shank available. I was placed on the phone with a gentleman calling him self "MACK". I Informed him of the situation and that I would be willing to tow my trailer down there, if some one could help me with the measurements and install the new shank. This job in total probably would take 15 min total as there is just 2 bolts that needed to be swapped. (I have done this on my old shank in order to get more clearance for the trailer with hopes of towing it down there and getting some help) MACK informed that they would be to busy to help and that I would be unable to get help until the 25th. More than 2 weeks away! I advised him that it was just 2 bolts and that I would be willing to help with the process. I advised him that the issue is my drive way is not level, and I need to make sure that everything is level for the tow. He informed me again how busy they were and would not be willing to help. I work in customer service and would have at least offered the customer to come down and resolve the situation in some way. I wasn't asking for major service. I would understand the wait if I had asked for something major. A warning to all whom buy from here if they are this unwilling to help on something minor imagine how it would be to get help with something major. I personally will not be buying anything from them in the future. read more

We took our camper in at the end of January for roof repair. We called them numerous calls and left our number for the service guy we originally talked with to call us back. He NEVER called us back. I think they are so busy, they don't care what business they keep and what they don't. Finally picked it up without being repaired. Never asked us why we didn't get it fixed. AS they say on "Lost in Space", "WARNING-WARNING-WARNING-DANGER. A few weeks ago I purchased a new RV from the Camping World in Nashville. For a year I looked at the pictures and the walk around video of the RV. I bought the RV over the phone. When I went to pick it up I was so excited (my wife and I recently retired from ministry) that I believed everything I was told. When we went on our first camping trip I noticed that the rear ladder was not on the RV and the walk around video clearly says there is a rear ladder. The dealership was no help to me (salesman Randy) so I called the main customer service person. The CEO slogan is (if your not happy, I am not happy, Marcus). I talked with Lindsey and after a day she tole me that if I looked at the small print (it took me a magnifying glass) I would see that the legal jargon says the video may not represent the RV that you purchase so there was nothing to be done. I asked to speak with Marcus since he was not happy and they refused. That slogan is not true. I want people to know that Camping World will say anything to make the sale but afterwards tough luck. I am not sure who Marcus is but he is laughing all the way to the bank along with the staff at camping world. If you are looking for an RV please support the "mom and pop" dealers that are out there. There business depends on customer service. When you get a large dealer like Camping World they could care less. The only reason I gave a 1 star is I had to put something down. read more

Wonderful people work here. We made a quick stop that turned into a nightmare. Our sick cat got out of the RV. After 7 hours of searching, we found her hiding under an RV next to us. The folks at this Camping World were not only kind to us, they helped us search for her. They have a massive lot full of RVs and are across the street from a huge empty field. As they day wore on we all felt our best chance would be when everything quieted down. They let us leave our rig in the same place, so she had a chance of finding us. Bought a brand new 2020 Keystone from Camping World, actually our second purchase from them. We closed, signed documents, before we were told that a stove burner was not working and on order from the manufacturer. Fine. They explained the part was ordered and we would be contacted to bring the unit in and it would be replaced. About four months goes by and no call from them so we had to do our own follow up. In the meantime, while waiting for them to call us, we have had our trailer out several times and noticed several additional manufacturer defects. Appointment to drop off the trailer for the burner was scheduled as a simple drop off. The service advisor explained that I could drop it off early because it was just that, a simple drop it and leave it. I get to CW two hours before and my advisor was not in. I explained to the lady my situation who didn't care and I waited 2+ hours for someone to spend literally five minutes to check me in. I was told to walk the floor for two hours and someone would grab me. Such poor poor service. So eager to take my money when we purchased but don't care what happens after the sale. I called another certified Keystone servicer in town while waiting to take my business and service the other warranty work. CW can fix my burner but will never touch my trailer again. However, just after 3 hours of hanging out and going through everything we were going to do a trade and a cash maybe financing deal for the small break in price. But after everything we found we were to far apart. Then a few days later I saw they ran my credit without asking. We are in the process of buying a new house so that is definitely a big factor in everything. My wife and I bought a new 2020 camper at camping world of colorado springs. From day one it was a bad experience. They lied to us about our warranty and every time we called or needed something it was a joke trying to get help. We needed service recently and it took 5 months to get in. It was there for 3 weeks and when we went for pick up and we had a trip planned that week basically nothing was done. I went to the operations manager Mario Desantis and expressed my dissatisfaction with camping world. Mario and his team fixed all our problems in a day and a half. We got our camper back and made our trip. Mario and his team did the best job trying to fix our problems. I feel if everyone at camping world went above and beyond like Mario and his team camping world of the springs would be a great place to business with. Lots of changes need to be made here for it to be a quality experience. I feel camping world of Colorado springs could benefit by following Mario's lead on how to treat customers.
