This place is a mess. I dropped my husband off to pick up the RV and even though he called before we came (an hour away, mind you) they didn't have it ready to go when we got there. 20 mins later, we knew there was an issue. The thing we dropped it off there for, was still an issue and preventing it from starting. All the work paid for was for nothing. Now we're out the cash and they still have it because they have to still fix it. Not only that, the service was awful. They were busy but they weren't attentive to anyone, my children noted that the sales team was offering water and such to people waiting and nothing was offered to them even though they were there almost an hour while the fiasco was sorted. Then a manager came out and said "get off there"... like I'm supposed to roll over and believe what they say. I'm not a child. it's my property and I'll inspect if I want. I caught them in multiple lies. very shady crew and if they don't want to talk to you, either the lady answering the phone makes excuses for them or they just don't call you back. never again read more

I have visited this place often with my Dutch Star mostly for propane. The people in the store are friendly and whenever they did any maintenance or repairs it was always timely and quality repairs. I just don't understand all the negative reviews. read more

*Disastrous Experience with Camping World* - On April 4th, I visited Camping World for a work truck service and waited for hours without a ride. - I expressed interest in an RV and began the sales process. I liked the floor plan of the first RV shown to me. - Camping World agreed to install an awning and generator main panel, which they said would take 2-3 days to complete once the parts arrived. - On April 5th, I signed the paperwork and prepared to leave. When I asked for a demonstration of the stove, I was informed that there was no propane in the tank. The staff filled with it and showed me how to use it. - On April 6th morning, I noticed: - Putty knive still on the roof (made it 1hr home) - RV was dirty despite paying for detailing - Full black tank (Not my poop) - On April 7th, I noticed: - The work truck I brought in that I had been upsold on a job to seal the back windows, but the water issue persisted - I contacted Brady (sales manager), who assured me that they would "take care of me". On this same phone call April 7th I asked to cancel my service contact on 2021 jayco  As well as tire and wheel protection and road side assistance. He told me to email, I did same day I also sent a message on their website. No response or acknowledgment. A month later.... - I was informed that my tires had arrived, but I was unaware that I was receiving new tires. I requested that Camping World notify me once all the parts were in. - On May 28th, I brought the vehicle back for service. However: - It took three weeks to get an update - I was told about fired employees, unable to access emails, wrong parts, and potential alterations - last visit in on 8/11 the service manager apologized and said that truck shouldn't have been sold to me yet because it wasn't ready to go.. another week or two for completion he says. - 8/23 I go pick up the truck nobody called me to informed it was ready. - I didn't see the truck for 12 WEEKS, and when I picked it up, I didn't even know which one it was! Their resolution was 1000 dollars and wanted me to sign yet another agreement! - Camping World also sold me multiple extended warranties as well as a roadside assistance package with no service providers within 260 miles of Durham, NC. When I tried to return it, within the grace period Brady told me to email him, and I never received a response. -I waited to post this.. I sent a email to the Marcus looking for resolution... he has still yet to respond.. go figure! *Avoid Camping World at all costs* Their sales and service teams seem to be working in silos, and their communication is nonexistent. The worst experience of my life. I have been trying to get my camper fixed since march of 2025. It's December. I've had to bring it back and fourth multiple times. I never get communication from them. I try to talk to the manager and they railroad me and send me back to Fernando. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. most people have to deal with them and don't get a choice. Be prepared to pull your hair out. Not have communication from them. Them not fix the stuff they say they will. Them fix shit just for it to break at home or half ass not even actually fix it. And they will probably damage your camper in the process. Shitty service from Fernando. Shitty service from the manager who doesn't call back. The only helpful one that told me I needed to give them pictures of the fridge was Justin. (The fridge doors not latching/closing was one of the reasons I brought it into the shop in March. And they didn't take a pic of the model number or serial number on the fridge. I'm a full time RVer X 2 years. I spent over five hours in the store trying to buy a Class C RV and looking at products. Sales and finance staff were present, but my salesperson showed very limited RV knowledge. I often had to crawl under units myself to get basic answers. I was persuaded to put down a $2,000 deposit that was repeatedly described as a refundable "hold." When the sale was later cancelled while I was negotiating a Class C at another Camping World location, the deposit was not returned as promised. I ultimately had to file a BBB complaint to pursue the refund.While on the floor that long day, with my dog, it was chaos. Retail staff didn't know where anything was. The store rarely had customers. They didn't care to do anything but make long attempts at selling a Good Sam membership. Poor transparency, poor follow-through, and a very frustrating experience for a major purchase. read more

worst experience we have ever had dealing with any company with our RV. Camping World is basically our only option unless we drive 4 hours. my husband went back five times (2 hour drive) trying to get an awning for our camper ordered and installed. 5th trip and everything was ordered and soon scheduled for installation. My husband waited almost 5 hours for the awning to be installed, go out to inspect it and it's still not what he told them to order. We had ordered, or we thought they had ordered, an awning cover. Nope they did not! $3400 should have included the cover. He actually pointed at the exact setup he wanted and told the parts guy "this is what I want, can you order this?" Parts guy assured him he ordered that set up. Well he didn't!! They didn't install both switches and the one they did install they put it in the laundry closet!!!! Inside the closet!!!! Where you can't see the awning going in or out while you're operating the switch. They also did not install the wind sensors that were ordered with the awning. They didn't care!! It was starting to snow and he had a two hour drive home so he left and now we are stuck having to fix or finish what they did!!! The people are rude and they DO NOT CARE about the customer!!!! This review is two-fold. The service department did me right on my Class A (which I bought elsewhere) inspection and service. 5 stars for the service department. The clearance items have a no return policy - it turns out my bride & I bought an aluminum table on clearance - that had apparently been used and repackaged. It was not cool taking it out of the packaging to find it had been used, stained up and then put back in the box, taped up and returned. 1 Star for the retail floor (clearance section). Returned items should be inspected and if it is warranted, labeled as USED if they are going to be resold. read more

DO NOT let your elderly family members try to sell their RV to this place without your knowledge! My mother who is arguably not even competent enough to sign a contract and has a slew of medical issues just got shafted by camping world and blatantly lied to. The RV did indeed have a few issues such as the exterior fading and the slide was stuck on the rear rail. HOWEVER, they also stated that the overhead AC units were not operable, which is funny considering I personally had them running 2 days prior to camping world having the RV in their possession. I understand you are in business to make money. Totally fine, but to blatantly lie to a vulnerable and desperate old lady just so you could lure her in with one price and later offer less than half the original offer based off of some truths along with lies, shows the lack of morals and character that this business operates worth! If I had been involved I would've told you exactly where you could've shoved your scam off an offer. Long story short, don't let your elderly family deal with these people alone, they will rip them off to the moon and back and do it with a smile! read more

Most of my professional experience is in aviation maintenance large jets to small helicopters. In one of my capacities I worked quotes and also schedules major checks with 3rd part companies. So, I had a small job done to my RV which was 30+ % over on man hours. It took me THREE trip there with the RV to get it all done. They told he could cancel with 60 days. When he got home and read the fine print he discovered that was a lie. And on top of that when he tried to cancel the one that was cancelable the finance manager would not return his calls. Now it has been well over a month and we have no registration information on the RV. And the lady obviously working on this has already lied to us for two days. She told us that she Ju was going to the state offices twice and responded to us neither time as she promised. I warned him after reading the reviews but you know men. Now we have no registration so we can prove we own the unit and have made many calls trying to reach someone that will help us. No one will respond. Never again. Anyone thinking of dealing with camping world, please heed this warning. potentialcustomers please be careful when dealing with this location. On top of all of this, the walk through and checkout was not done properly. My husband had to fix many problems himself. There is no way we were going to take the union back to camping world for service. We might not ever see it again. I think it is sad that a company like this can operate serving the public. Because to be honest, They apparently don't know the meaning of "service. Heed the warnings. Please. Or reap the Circumstances. As I understand it this is just typical service from this company. We brought our first brand new 2023 RV trailer on 11/30/2022.The sale rep and Tony were nice and get purchase done. However when we ready get on our trip and found water and heating are not working. We saw there is sign on trailer window "this unit has been winterized" so we called service of camping world to get dewinterizing. When we get there the service technician said there are multiple parts broken because of it is not winterized the pump and pipe in tankless unit were broken because of freezing. He said when the person did walkthrough got it dewinterized. Why after they dewinterized trailer and did not remove sign or let us know it needs to be winterized!!!! Now in order to fix them it will cost us thousands of dollars because of customer faults and not covered by warranty. We are new for RV trailer and we had been told them we need to know everything need to be alerted. We decided do nothing with them. They still charged us $260. It is like black hole to get service with them. BE AWARE if you plan to buy RV from them!!!! Warranty from them is like a joke. It will always customers fault. The sales person I worked with Cindy was nice however, I believe she mislead me. I let her know I was willing to pay the sticker price for the trailer but was hoping to get the hitch included. She said she see what she could make happen and would speak with her manager. She came back and said everything sounded good so she sent me the link for the credit check and I completed it all. The following day I get the offer letter and there are tons of dealership fees (not taxes, I'm talking about document processing fees etc.) and not a single discount on the hitch which she insinuated would be free. If I could give less than 1 star, I would give them a -100. First, Joseph is the owner of this Wretched dealership. Brandon is in finance and his manager, Tony (with the Brit accent) is his manager. I just noticed everywhere online gives this place a negative review, and now I know why! I contacted finance before even coming in, gave them all of my information, Completed in their office all of the steps required with insuring the RV prior to Delivery, and finally, a large cashiers check paid to them. I was done, I was now awaiting delivery just today. Please note, this is Sunday. Banks are not open on Sundays. Tony, the pompous, insolent, pretentious, supercilious finance manager loser, had the audacity to call me three hours after delivery time to let me know that the "bank" told him he did not have enough information. How is this even possible? Especially before you give them your cashier's check? Tony, behaving like he is the owner of Camping World, told me just to come get my check and he would cancel the deal (because of his fault with an ADDRESS) All it was was a mixup of addresses, but Tony and Brandon do not care. When Joseph is away, they feel like they are in charge and on the dealership. Total scam artists through and through and through. Do not say you were not warned! I tried to speak with Tony three times but he would talk over me and never allow me to get a word in edgewise before HANGING UP on me, about what his subordinate Brandon, asked me to do. This has nothing to do with lack of finances! Just super big gonads that didn't want to kowtow to a female and admit their failure. In such, it's fair to say they weren't as big as they want you to think. MEN: for all of you who think this is an issue just because I was a solo female trying to buy an RV, think again my friends! Great people working here, Sal, Jonathan and more but mechanics should be informed that their work is going to be closely monitored because of all the horror stories about RV in the industry in general. I took the RV for service, steps were not coming out or retracting and shower head would not stop dripping. For the first job about a month ago they replaced the controller and because the mixing valve had to be ordered the RV did not stay overnight at any time. When the correct mixing valve finally arrived I took the RV back for them to look at the steps again, they were making a horrible noise when retracting so they replaced the motor. The mixing valve was installed but in doing so the calking around the handle was never touched. Any plumber would remove the old calking and after repairs put fresh calking around the handle. SO replacing the valve must've taken 4 or five minutes, specially if no new calking was being installed. Two screws, remove the old valve and replace it with the new one, put the two screws back and the job is done, if you are in a slow mood it would be 10 minutes tops. so here is my disappointment: the mechanic had the RV for about 2 hours and 15 minutes while I waited, the motor for the steps is outside under the steps so why did he have the engine running for 2 hours and 5 minutes. If he wanted AC to replace the valve he could have run the coach generator to run the coach AC, we established is was a ten minute job, no need to run the engine and try to cool the whole coach only with the engine AC when it is 85 degrees outside and assuming the RV never went inside the shop and he worked on the yard. It is a little thing, only 11 dollars but it is the fact that there is no consideration, no regard, no respect How do I know? I fill up the tank and reset the counter before I get to ANY shop. Half a mile away there is a gas station. First picture taken yesterday at 3:25pm when I left the shop and noticed the RV had dropped 1/8 of a tank during the repair and second picture at the gas station at 3:28 after filling up. In a few words I had to pay 11.50 at the pump because the mechanic was either careless or did not want to inconvenience himself being a little hot inside for ten minutes? not only he did not touch the calking, (water now sipping through to back compartment, I will have to do the calking myself.) but he did not even clean the shower floor stepping in with dirty muddy shoes, the least you can do is wipe it clean and I will wash and sanitize. read more

My mom and I are from Colorado, and usually people out there, including myself, avoid Camping World, along with most big, large corporate dealers. After driving 2 hours from my Airbnb rental and spending most of my day bouncing around to shop with my mom in the $20-$25,000 price range for the "PERFECT" camper, we decided as a last resort, to stop here on our way back, after a disappointing, hot, waste of a day. This was because we didn't find a damn thing that came close to our liking, and or satisfaction. And I promise, we're pretty easy going gals, body-style and price ranger were really all we were partially set on. Anyway, frustrated, tired, and hot (great combo by the way) we walk in to Camping World, expecting to be bombarded by sales people, but we weren't, which was really a nice surprise. We took a bathroom break, then started walking towards the front again to head out to the lot, and a kind man who was a retail worker there I believe, just casually said "hey there guys, what brings you in? Can I help ya find anything, or do you just wanna look around?" Which was appreciatively non-aggressive, and we let him know we were actually interested in looking around the lot, and he assured us that a salesman by the name of "Kelli" could easily help us, and she would meet us up front. We met Kelli at the service desk, she casually introduced herself, and my mom started talking away about what type of features and styles she was interested in. My mom right away let her know firmly, that we wouldn't be buying until next week, and more than likely nothing on the lot, since she was looking for a tow-able retro/vintage style camper, which they didn't carry, as told by a manager inside. Kelli enthusiasticly said "no worries, that's totally fine, let's just go take a browse around then and take a look at what we have [for the heck of it]" with a genuine smile. We cruised around the lot for about an hour, just being chauffeured around by Kelli who felt more like a tour guide/rv enthusiast than an aggressive, pushy, watch-checking salesman. Like I said this was REALLY a nice, big sigh of relief, because we really got to see a variety of brands, sizes, styles, floor plans, and qualities while taking our time. I hate being rushed . We walked in to CW pissed and uneducated on campers, and left well hydrated from the water they gave us when we got back from the hot-lot, and much, MUCH, more knowledgable on the WORLD of camping, all because of Kelli. When we finally make a decision on what our new mobile, tiny home will be, this CW location is going to be our first stop from now on when we leave town, and probably when we return as well. Kelli was absolutely a joy to be around, answered any, and ALL questions we had, and very attentive to our needs. The ONLY THING we didn't like was that she lied to us about being a "fairly new" salesman. There's NO WAY this is true, she was just way too awesome at her job! Seemed VERY experienced. If you're stopping here, ask for KELLI SHIEGNOR, and if she's busy, WAIT! It'll be a much better experience, and you'll feel very comfortable. Thanks again Kelli! We'll be recommending you to anyone in, or passing through the Raleigh/Garner area that's an RV owner in need of goods, or a new mobile home . Best to you, and your RV future! read more

When Dante was writing Inferno, he forgot to write about the circle of hell that is waiting at Camping World of Raleigh for 8+ hours being told "it'll be ready soon" at least once per hour. To be fair, every member of the staff is perfectly pleasant. This only confuses the wait because: what are all the staff members doing? Are there only 2 people working on repairs while everyone else is in sales? Maybe so. Many people walk around looking important, yet seemingly doing nothing. I have had a few experiences with Camping World in Garner, N.C. I had my RV in for maintenance on my refrigerator not working on 110 volts and I was told to order a certain part. I did and the refrigerator is still not working. On that same visit I wanted them to install 4 slide out awnings; which they did and I was told when I went to pick the RV up that the technician had troubles with it. Long story short: the first camping trip we went on discovered that some bolts were pulling out on one awning and another was about the same except that the panel that pulled out had damaged the awning. I would not recommend this facility for any RV repair !!!!!! read more

When we got it there it took several days and what could have been fixed easily they charged the insurance a lot and they charged us. I will never ever go to that business. They lied and overcharged. Bought the extra bumper to bumper warranty but they won't cove4 it. Said they are not sure what caused it. Just that water got in the corner and rotted the floor. Not only did it fall apart, but you can obviously see that they bought cheap stuff dressed it up to make it look nice and professional and then when it fell apart you saw that it was just basic generic garbage. I used to love this place. Until they stiffed me that is. Sold my RV here, and waited for 3 weeks only to realize that they paid 10K lesser than the amount we agreed upon. They should be put in jail for Check Fraud. There is no reason a dealer can hold positive equity in your vehicle if they have taken your vehicle and its keys and signed the sale agreement. I recently tried to purchase a camper from this location and the salesman, Luke, was friendly, but I don't believe tried very hard to help me. The finance guy, Anthony, on the first day stated we were approved and gave us a high down payment. Anthony promised he could get us in the camper for the monthly payment listed or below with no money down. However, only to later say we were not approved at all. It did take us a while to ever get a response from the Luke. My parents then applied and was approved for outside financing. Camping World didn't want to send the required documents to finalize the loan. They lost a sale, wish they would have worked with us. I was also suppose to be contacted by another finance guy, John, at the dealership, but he never got in contact with me at all. They don't seem to have everything in order here and not very organized in how they run their day to day business. read more

Not sure where to start. Bought a NEW camper, it was filthy and full of gouged wood, sawdust, broken switch plates, and torn wallpaper that had just been stuck back down despite a "prep fee" of $500. The sale process took two days. WHOLE days of waiting in their office signing something every hour or so. They nickel dime the sale with fees for everything you can think of from simply cleaning it to paperwork. Then came the registration. It took a month past the expiration of the paper tags for someone to finally send the tax bill so we could get the plates. When the statement came, they taxed in their county instead of mine which doubled the tax to pay. Got it fixed but that's just lazy and a potentially expensive problem for the buyer so check your paperwork thoroughly...trust me, you'll have time. read more

Just want to say a "HUGE" Thank You to Matt Marley and Micheal Reyes, Service Advisors at Camping World Garner NC. Been in town for 1 week purchased a heated hose the same day we arrived. Service guys were great with some general RV question I had on my rig. Today a had a water issue after a 16-degree night, called Jayco the maker of my 5th wheel and after almost 2 hours trying to troubleshoot they were not at all helpful. I thought I would see if Camping World could point me in the right direction. Made a call spoke with Matt Marley and Micheal Reyes and in about 3 minutes they told me what the issue was and where to look to fix it. Best part they were spot on. Thanks, guys for going out of your way to point me in the right direction when I know most places would not have done that. It's little things like that, that gets my business.
