Zero stars if it was an option. Word of CAUTION, DO NOT bring your motorhome here to have any work done to it! I scheduled an appointment to have a Track Bar and Sumo Springs installed. I arrived for my appointment in the morning and they took it in right away. Couple of hours later I was told that they are unable to do this type of work at this facility and they would just credit the amount back to my card, after they had already taken the front wheel off of my motorhome. I asked why it had taken so long to tell me this and they had NO straight answer. Come to find out, they needed to drive around to a couple of Ford dealers to find a new Bump Stop to replace the one they wreaked. The BEST part of all, When they took the wheel cover off, they used an impact wrench on the fake lug nuts busting them off too. Then, to fix the problem, they used TAPE to put them back on. Shame on you Camping World, putting people's safety at risk just because your degenerate employees are only qualified to sit on their butts, and do NOTHING! read more

My dad and I had a really frustrating experience here. It started off well -- we spoke with Don, who was friendly and encouraging, and he set up an appointment for us to bring in our camper. But once we showed up, everything went sideways. Even though we had an appointment, we ended up waiting around for three hours. They told us they couldn't give us a value that day and needed to keep the camper overnight. We were told by Daniel we'd get a call the next morning, and if we didn't, to call at noon. We followed up -- nothing. Called again later that day -- still no answer. The next day, we were told the sales manager wasn't even in. We asked to speak with someone else and got a manager named Rick, who told us they wouldn't take the camper due to a list of "damages" that were completely made up. This all happened while we were on a serious time crunch -- my dad is moving out of town, which we made very clear from the beginning. From Tuesday to Thursday, they kept our camper and gave us zero updates, wasting valuable time. When we went to pick it up, we found the trailer jack had been bent -- it was fine when we left it. We couldn't even hitch it properly to drive away. Eventually, they did replace the jack at no cost, but the damage was already done -- to our schedule, and our trust. Overall, the whole experience was full of broken promises, poor communication, and careless handling of our property. It was just a bad experience. They don't communicate well. It takes several calls to get a hold of anyone as they just don't return calls. They charge fees for things they got sued for in Oregon. Feel like we got ripped off. We traded in a camper, and Camping World was going to pay off our old unit. They sent in less than the payoff amount. They also sent the payoff to the wrong address. I can't say enough good things about Camping World, Hamburg PA. (I felt a long thorough review was needed due to our excellent experience). I called on a Wednesday and they were able to get me an apt with a salesman the very next day. That morning I showed up with my toddler and met our salesman Tony. He was SO patient with us and took the time to show us several campers I had in mind that I had located on their website. He was very knowledgeable and didn't mind taking us back and forth between two campers when I had trouble deciding. He also helped entertain my toddler while I met with financing and such. I put down a deposit on one camper so I could return in a few days with my husband to confirm. In the meantime, Brogan got started on the financing process which was super easy! When we returned a few days later, once again, Tony took the time to show us the same campers I had previously viewed, as well as several more larger ones (my husband's idea). We really liked two campers, the one I previously chose and another larger one. Brogan and Tony both worked on giving me two different financing offers/options so I could choose which worked best for our family. We ended up going with the larger one (Coleman Lantern LT 214BH) and scheduled pickup two weeks later. During that time, Brogan reached out with additional financing information which was super helpful. When we arrived the day of pickup, the whole process was so smooth! We arrived and they took us back within 10 min to do the walkthrough of the camper. The coordinator, I believe her name was Kim but not 100% sure(sorry), explained the process of everything that would happen that day so we knew what to expect. During the walkthrough, we got to see how everything worked and they showed us how to set up and operate all the external and internal features. I believe Nick was the person who helped with the walkthrough(sorry if I have the wrong name). He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Following the walkthrough, I met with financing. Marcus was so nice and the whole process to finalize the financing was fast! He also answered a bunch of my questions and had a lot of patience with me. When financing was being completed, they hooked the camper up to our truck and had it outside ready for us while Tony took us around the shop to collect additional gear and items we needed for the camper. The lead tech showed my husband how to operate the hitch and answered all his questions. (I believe his name was Tim but not sure, apologies if that is incorrect.) This is our first purchase at Camping World and our first purchase of an RV. We are so thrilled with everyone at the Hamburg location and I REALLY appreciate the kindness and knowledge of every employee we met. DO NOT BUY FROM GANDER! We purchased a class A motor home from these people in March. On the way home the cradle the propane tank sits in broke and the tank almost fell out on the drive home! (After it was supposed to be fully inspected. We also noticed really shoddy workmanship the next morning (see photos) and evidence that they did not detail anything more than spray tire shine on the tires! Months later, we realize we never got a registration card for the motor home... Gander never submitted the paperwork because - THERE WAS NO TITLE TO THE MOTORHOME! Somethings they didn't disclose to us upon agreement of the sale. Here we are - stuck with an RV WE DONT OWN - and we've been paying for it since April! They are fraudulent and shady business people! Managers intimidate you and will NOT help you in any way! They shrug and don't accept responsibility and tell you "we did our part" We will DEFINITELY NOT be giving them any future business and will not ever refer anyone to them. If you're a "glamper" (glamorous camper) this is the place to fulfill anything you or your smoking hot wife could think of. The RV showcase is fresh, but seems to have koolaid down the sinks and shower stalls of the RVs. Definitely a tough sell trying to convince my wife to stop talking about mowing the grass by showing her a RV once owned by Jefferey Dahmer. 2. Fun Factor- 4/5. For the men. RVs are walk through, easily used to escape the kids. Can use bathrooms in RVs as simple, but effective hiding places from an angry spouse. Enough space to give about a 2-3 hour escapade, but not large enough to use as an entire day trip, like Cabelas. Bluetooth in the RVs is usable with speakers on inside and outside of RVs, fun to play songs. 3. Bathrooms, 1/5. One stall. Ridiculous. Everyone has to take a crap here. They'd rather hit the bathroom than their RV. Don't have to pump the crap out if they don't need to. Considered browning a showcase RV after standing in a line of 3 men at the bathroom. My fiancé and I drove two hours to purchase an RV. The sales price online was $13,999 and they added over $5,000 in fees. Literally, over 1/3 of the price of the trailer was tacked on when we wanted to buy it. How is that legal? The next day we sent a letter advising to return our deposit, as by federal law we have 3 business days to do this. We spoke to a manager Sunday and reviewed other campers they had online but the payments would be too high, most just weren't what we wanted. We were told he would ask the finance manager to refund us. After 3 phone calls and conversations all week, we are still waiting to get refunded. As of today we are filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs, the BBB and anyone else I find to make a complaint with. I am tired of hearing 'Ill refund you but it takes 2-3 days.' Highly suggest NOT buying from here. We bought our camper for cash and still took forever. They did work on the jeep including installing a tow unit. When they went to hitch up realized the tech forgot the ball to actually pull with. Part of the agreement was they would store the camper until July. Come to find out they pay for storage. When we got to the storage place it was not opened nor were we registered like they said. We had the camper there for approximately 2 months, the camper has been broken into twice now and today we went to have items installed and found our propane canister has been stolen. First contact was excellent, needed parts to complete the job... that's where the problem began! Our service advisor was let go we were informed when we called to check on the timing of our parts and service 2 weeks after our service. We were told George would be helping us. He said our parts were not ordered.. said would get them ordered. I then called back last week to ask about adding the purchase and install of a steering stabilizer, he said he would get the info and get back to me and order the parts needed for the original work. I would like to start by saying I am only sharing this on social media because I believe that it could possibly help another individual that may at some point being in, or going through a similar situation. I would also like to say that I do not recommend anyone specifically target any business unless they truly believe it is the right thing to do, and they believe they are 100% justified. With that I would like to try to briefly talk about an experience at a business called Gander RV/Camping World located off of Route 61 north coming out of Reading directly across from Cabela's. I would like to say that in all my many many years of business, and professionalism I have never in my life experienced the type of dirty, conniving, lie filled miss representation of fact, ever in my life. I will say that this business was filled with unhappy customers in their service department, and I witnessed one families unhappiness, and another person's unhappiness firsthand. I was there advocating for very good friends of ours with our own unhappiness regarding a situation that has gone back quite a long time. I'd like to express that out of all of the things I mentioned above there are many more unethical, unmoral, and deceitful and wrong things that have taken place just in our situation alone. I'd like to point out everything I'm stating is fact. I'm an advocate in the situation, and although I may be biased to some degree, I am also a professional that has spent the better part of half of my life in business. I witnessed, and was a part of multiple high-level meetings with individuals that do not deserve to be in the positions they are in based on their attitude, their language, and their inability to do anything towards rectifying a grossly miss handled situation. I will say that they tried to intimidate, they took no responsibility for their actions in a way that truly shows responsibility, and in summary I would say anyone that either has purchased from this dealership, is considering purchasing from this dealership, or is perhaps looking at somewhere to go for service or parts.... - I would recommend that you drive 100 miles out of your way if there is no other alternative closer then to give this business one penny of your hard earned money. They deserve this kind of a lashing even though I would typically be against this kind of posting on social media. I believe that they need those good employees that may exist within their business to see firsthand that the workings, dealings, and dirtiness of those above them is not worthy of their employment. I will be praying for three specific people to find a new place of employment, to understand, and to have revealed to them the dirtiness of this business and its practices in leadership, as well as any customers or fellow business people that may have to deal with them in the future. I believe in three individuals that I had a good contact with today that I believe admitted the wrongdoing, believe that resolution should come, and were obviously distraught by the way in which they were witnessing not only our situation be handled by management, but also the way other peoples situations were being handled by so-called management. I have never in my life been in a business where there was more negativity, severely disgruntled customers with valid reasons to be disgruntled, and such a lack of leadership and care for those that are truly writing their paychecks. We bought a 2018 Rockwood Windjammer from Camping World in Hamburg, PA in October of 2023. The salesman, Johnathan Ortiz, was very helpful. We looked it over and it appeared to be in fairly good condition, except for the missing slide out awnings, which we intended to replace later. Sales was fairly high pressure to get the deal done that day, which we were used to. After agreeing on a price, there were a bunch of add ons on the contract. $995 for preparation and cleaning, which should be included in the asking price. they agreed to throw that in at our agreed upon price price. We scheduled to pickup the RV the following Monday. When I arrived at the scheduled time, I was told it had just been pulled into the shop and I would have to wait. Upon leaving, I noticed that the outside shower door was hanging open. It was cracked and the lock on it would not work. After checking, the tech told me they would order a new door and send it to us. He zip tied the shower wand up so I could get it home. Almost 2 months later and we have never received the new outside shower door. After getting the RV home, we decided to see how it was cleaned. By, am I glad I didn't pay that $995 for their prep and cleaning package. We probably swept 2 pounds of dog hair up from the carpet and furniture. We also noticed that there were no remotes for the TV's and entertainment centers. We called Camping World in Hamburg, PA and had to leave a message. No response a few days later. I called again and talked to someone in Service who said she would check and get back to me by the end of the day. No return call. Talked to the salesman who said he would check in to the remotes and get back to us. No return call. I finally found and ordered new remotes for the TV's and Entertainment Centers on my own. Also had to order new sink strainers, which were also missing. So, before the sale service was good, after the sale service and support was terrible. Make sure you check every last thing before you leave with your camper and get any missing/damaged parts promised parts replacements in writing before you leave. After you leave with your RV, don't expect any support. read more

I talked with Chris the rv sales person on messenger and also phone conversation and made him an offer and he got with Chad his sales manager and we finally come to an agreement. Me and my wife rented a car and drove 17 hours to Hamburg, PA from Mountain Home, AR. We meet with Chris and Chad his sales manager and we did a walk through on the coach and there were a couple of issues but we're taking care of By there team. We made a final offer on the coach and they excepted our offer. Me and my wife are very happy and satisfied with our purchase on our new 2018 Coach. We felt that the RVs they had on hand were not of the best variety. They didn't even have ONE that fit our needs (a bunkhouse TT) to show us. We were shown several couples TTs and fifth-wheels instead. The brands we were shown aren't the ones on our personal list of preferred companies either. What's worse is that the salesman even asked for our IDs to run a credit check on one that we were only moderately interested in. That seemed awfully forward & pushy to me! After what could be considered bait and switch advertising, I decided to purchase a new camper from their lot. The financial disclosers are not prevalent or forthcoming. Abiding by their schedule for camper pick up was difficult. I paid $995 for dealer prep only to find items needing attention, including broken molding on the refrigerator door. 3 warranty issues right out the door. Salesmen and financial personnel are much more concerned about the monthly payment than giving all the pertinent numbers. I had to ask the interest rate because they were not forthcoming with the information. Nowhere on the final paperwork does it disclose the actual agreed upon sales price. Freight and dealer prep were added to the price, it and still did not equal the higher final price. My total experience with camping world has left me with a feeling of distrust and disgust. I should have walked away when my gut told me to and not stuck around for more disappointment. read more

It is beyond me how camping world stays in business. I am new to the RV world as I have always camped with a tent. I purchased a new toy hauler in February of this year and had the WORST buying experience at the Ashland VA site. It took nearly six hours to complete the sale and every employee I spoke with for updates knew nothing and did not seem to care. I pulled the toy hauler home to PA with a new hitch that was improperly assembled and without one of the safety pins for the sway bars. My hopes that I would received better service for warranty work at the Hamburg location were today. The RV has been sitting on their lot for 22 days and NOTHING has been done. The warranty claim has not even been submitted. The excuse provided was that the employee quit. Unbelievably poor customer service, not to mention the poor quality product they sell - the solar panel, refrigerator, bunk bed motor, and back up camera did not work when purchased. If I EVER get this toy hauler back, it will go up for sale and I will NEVER deal with this company again. read more

ZERO STARS - STAY AWAY We have been dealing with Camping World of Hamburg for over a year now and it has been nothing but headaches, poor service, poor customer service if any, and horrific workmanship. They deserve zero stars if it was an option. We approached Camping World to repair a crack in the fiberglass of our fifth wheel toy hauler last year. The crack was caused by a leak which froze during the winter months, creating pressure and cracking the fiberglass. Hamburg was able to get us on their schedule a few months from contacting them. The repair of the crack and apparently leak was completed by inserting a metal plate woven through the interior plywood framing and applying new fiberglass and painting the exterior. The exterior near the crack on roof seams and below cap were resealed. The repair held until this past winter when the crack reappeared and now interior paneling was bulging. We contacted Hamburg and we're told to bring it in. This was in January. Our camper was dropped off locked with fully charged batteries. From January through May (5 months), we chased via phone and email querying for updates with no response. On Easter weekend, we decided to pay a visit while in the area (we live 45 minutes away) and our camper was in the same exact location it was dropped untouched. We were promised it would be finished by May 1st for a trip we had planned. The work was finally completed and when querying what was causing the interior bulge, we were told it was never looked at and that they would need to order new panels. Why they were ordering panels when they hadn't even looked at doesn't make any sense. We waited 2 weeks for an estimate for the panels, chasing several times. I finally decided to pay a visit to just pick it up and confront the service manager. The panels were never even ordered. In fact he had to enter the camper before I took it to take a picture of what they were. So it was basically sitting there for 2 weeks and they did nothing. Upon getting the camper home it was discovered our 50 ft 50 amp power cord was stolen, all of our locked cabinets were unlocked for theft to occur over the 5 months it sat unserviced and our 2 optimum batteries were dead requiring replacement. In regards to the crack being "repaired" again, it is horrific. Take a look at the pictures attached. This is unacceptable. This is not body work. This is slapping globs of fiberglass over top of what was applied the first time and painting it leaving bubbles in the paint. You can see the wave a mile away. And the service manager agreed that it was horrible work. At this point, we decided to open up the interior wall ourselves and we discover damp, moldy plywood and foam. The leak was never repaired and water was still entering after they repaired it the first time. We found a gap in the sealant under the rain spout and resealed it. We tested it until no water was entering the camper. Disgusted with all of the above and now a faulty repair, we contacted Hamburg and also Corporate Camping World. The service manager asked us to bring it in. We advised the wall was now essentially exposed down to the fiberglass and it wasn't stable enough to drive. The service managers came to our home to discuss and look at it. This was when he specifically said, "I'm not gonna disagree with you on that" when we showed how horrific the body work was. They took pictures of the now dry interior and went back to corporate stating it was all dry and any water damage was from prior to their initial repair. We then shared our photos and videos with corporate showing water leaking in and soaked plywood. The response from Hamburg and Corporate is that they weren't told to fix a leak just a crack and their not liable. After all this and they do nothing. It's awful and we will be taking further action. read more

In dealing with Camping World again, a complete let down in service. Our water pump which was working fine from April through May went. The check valve is bad. I purchased a warranty with the camper which I may never use because of the hoops I need to jump through. They want me to bring my camper in for a diagnosis from a certified technician. The last certified technician winterized (which is another story) my camper and couldn't get it unhooked from my new truck! They had my trucks rear end in the air using my power tongue jack and couldn't figure out how to get it unconnected (CERTIFIED?). So tell me how are the techs certified??? Then I have to bring it back because the warranty needs to process. So I need to take 2 days off from work to get this completed? If camping world owns the warranty company what is the disconnect if it is a certified tech, and their warranty company (Good Sam)? They say they want to win my business back and, they tell me they turned over almost all of sales and service employees, but all I see is a lack of competency in service and sales. Management is incredibly rude and poorly trained. I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere. To get any kind of deal you have to join their club and that goes for sales and quantities. They also don't understand public accommodation laws. Won't be returning. read more

What wonderful service technicians and service writers . We were in a crunch situation, they took our RV in , checked it all out , spent a long time looking for the root cause . Charged us a very minimal fee ,as we were quoted . Would highly recommend the service department! read more

Very dishonest people!! RUN! They sold us an older camper that was beautiful but turns out it had mold some where in it. We tried everything, so they let us trade it in, walked away thinking we owe more but we have a brand new camper. Then we got the financial statement, we owe $20000.00 more then we realized. And yes both my husband and me were surprised. They said it was all explained to us and it's the extra!! I don't think both of us overlooked 20k. They are for the money, not the customers. read more

I bought my TT in March and had alot of issue with it. the Service is lacking along with the customer service is also lacking. i picked up TT today from getting all the Warranty work done and getting it winterize . When the new Service adviser and looked to see if it was fix and still found issue with ,they fixed it right away but i was there an extra half hour. I wanted to add an update to my existing Camping World Review. I had to take the camper back to Gander/Camping World in Hamburg, PA on 10/1/22 because the door came off the tracks again (after they said they had repaired it), and put a hold in the wall. On 10/3/22 I received an update that the door was repaired and they were waiting on a wall panel. It is now 11/20/22 and still no camper. I reached out on 11/14/22 and asked for an update but I have yet to hear back. read more

Buyer beware!! after showing an interest in a motorhome thru messenger on their website and inquiring the best price available the automated pricing went from 138,000 to 137,609 which was a move in the right direction. after some text messaging with a sales rep to make arrangements to see the RV in person I later went back on their website to show my husband the pictures and the price was increased to 141,000 (that was an increase of 3,000). Campers are extremely overpriced. Went to look at campers pre-approved for $35,000 and were only able to look a pre-owned or new ones that were way undersized for our family of 5. We went back during their "sale" event and looked at some of the same campers we looked at the week previous. The prices were jacked up from $35,000 to $47,000 and on sale for $41,000, as an example. Totally dishonest company. read more
