There service is The WORST. took my RV in for an insurance repair. Replaced roof and was to adjust the slide that was damaged and replace the ladder on the back. I was told 10 days to repair. They had the RV for 30 days. When I got it back the ladder hadn't been put on, and when I put the slide out that was supposed to be fixed the roof on the slide tore. AVOID going there at all cost. Went to Camping World to look at travel trailers, fully intended to buy one. Salesman was terrible, he was in a hurry and didn't have answers to any questions. Finally found one I was interested in, went back to talk costs. He spent the first ten minutes trying to sell me a coupon book, the diverted for another 10 minutes on their service department, finally shows me the cost and with all the junk he was trying to add on it was almost double what was shown on their website. He had the taxes at twice what they should have been and insisted I needed a new hitch and sway system on my truck (It's a 2022 Duramax that already has a full towing package). Then he shows me their financing and monthly payment. I asked what interest rate they were using, no answer. He went and got a financing rep, again wouldn't tell me. They wanted to run my credit first, wouldn't let them, without knowing what they based that quote on. I did the math and with the payment schedule they offered it was 100% interest. I went to Garland RV in Paris the next day. I got the exact same travel trailer for half the cost and 1/4 the payment they were offering and the interest rate was 5.25%. It was the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered. Future customers, beware of Camping World of Nashville!!! Upon discovering defective components in my travel trailer, I notified ASSURANT, with whom I purchased my extended service agreement, for guidance in proceeding with a claim. ASSURANT advised me to take my camper to an authorized service dealer to determine whether the defective components are under warranty. Weeks leading up to my appointment with Camping World of Nashville, I was specific with the Service Representative (Lauren Tummins) regarding three issues I was having with my travel trailer (Stove Igniter inoperable, Microwave door stuck closed, and a cracked Fender Skirt). I asked if my extended warranty covered these items. She advised me to set an appointment to have my trailer assessed even though I had already conducted my diagnosis. On December 13, 2023, I brought my trailer to Camping World of Nashville. Upon approaching the service desk, the service representative (Lauren) informed me that the only item covered in my agreement contract was the stove ignition switch. I would also be liable to pay for all diagnostic expenses associated with all said issues. I then explained that the microwave release button and the stove ignition are defective and that the fender skirt has a visible crack, which I previously presented at the time leading to this appointment. Lauren then stated that a diagnosis for all the mentioned faults is required. I then provided her with a copy of my service agreement and asked her to point out where the two claims she denies are not covered and how she can reject my claim without looking at my trailer. Lauren refused to examine the policy with me and said, "I'm familiar with the contract." At that point, Lauren instructed me to leave my trailer so she could have a maintenance representative diagnose the stove switch. Later that day, she called to inform me that my trailer was ready for pick-up and that they would call me once the claim submission to the manufacturer was processed. On December 15, Lauren notified me that my claim for the ignition switch was approved, and she said she was also able to get them to replace the microwave. Lauren then asked me to provide her with the microwave model number because they had yet to look at it. At that point, I asked to speak with her boss, Fixed Operations Director (Meggan Wallace). Meggan informed me they had submitted a "fraudulent claim" to cover the microwave. I asked if it was standard practice for them to submit fraudulent claims to the manufacturer. Meggan then threatened to pull back the claim if I had a problem with how she handled it. I told her, "At this point, it's a matter of principle." Shortly after this conversation, Lauren called me for the microwave's model number and said she would call me to set up an installment date once Camping World received all the parts. At that time, I asked for a part number associated with the Fender skirt, and she said I could not locate this part anywhere because "you can only purchase this through the manufacturer." After receiving the part number, I informed her I found the Fender skirt online through several venues. However, the price was more expensive than what she quoted me ($58.75 plus tax); therefore, I placed this order through Lauren then. On December 27, 2023, I received a call from Lauren that all my parts were in, and we arranged to have all parts installed except for the fender skirt, which we agreed I would install myself. On January 4, 2024, I dropped off my trailer at Camping World of Nashville for repairs. I picked up my trailer the same day after verifying repairs to the stove and microwave with the Service Rep. (Tim) and paying my $50.00 deductible. Upon arriving home, I realized I hadn't inquired about the fender skirt, at which point I called Tim, and he informed me he located the part in his warehouse and I could pick it up anytime; I told him I would pick this part up in the morning. When I arrived the following day (January 5, 2024) to pick up my Fender Skirt, Lauren informed me that the Fender skirt had been installed by the maintenance tech the previous day, and I had a balance of $414.15. I told her I could not verify that this part was on my trailer because we did not address this at the time of repair, and I never authorized this part to be replaced. However, I would be happy to pay after I confirm this myself. In addition, I told her the balance owed differs from what she quoted me at the time of purchase. Lauren then told me there were other associated costs she failed to disclose during the sale. I then asked to speak with her boss, Fixed Operations Director (Meggan Wallace). When Meggan approached me, I tried explaining the situation to her, yet I was met with resistance through interjection and an abrasive attitude. We stopped by this location today for some help with a new mattress. Will and Stacy were awesome and gave great customer service and found exactly what we were looking for. **UPDATE 8/31** After my husband getting in touch with corporate, they contacted the Nashville location and were told that it has been ready since 31Jul and they have "been trying to call us to let us know it's ready". It was 29Jul we were there to pick it up the first time and they told us it was 2 weeks before they would be able to install the parts. I have called and left messages with no returned calls. And I see from other reviews that I am not the only one this has happened to. The integrity of this company and this location is SEVERELY LACKING. We will definitely take our business elsewhere and encourage our friends and family to do the same. 8/30 Our travel trailer has been in service for 4 months. THE ENTIRE SUMMER SEASON. It took over 4 weeks to get an answer about what was wrong. Then we were waiting on parts. I was patient bc I understand everything that requires shipping is backed up. They called to tell us it was ready to pick up over 7 weeks ago. IT WAS NOT READY. The parts had come in. They told us it would be another two weeks before they could get the parts installed. And it has now been over 5 weeks since it was "ready" and we went in the first time. We spoke to the GM and it was an absolute joke with absolutely nothing resolved. And I have yet to speak to the actual service manager at any point during this process. DO NOT DO ***ANY*** BUSINESS HERE AT ALL. IT WILL BE A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. read more

This is a review mostly regarding customer service, not necessarily repair work. I took our camp van in for a leak in the roof and for a headlight repair. I was told it would be finished later that afternoon. I was waiting to hear if they could fix anything and for an estimate! I called when they were closing since I never heard from them...and service was already closed. I was finally called at 12pm the following day, with a message that stated my vehicle was ready for pick-up. When I was being rung-up, I stated "So everything was fixed? Great." Only then was I told, oh no...we could not fix the headlight, nor the leaking in the roof but we did do a roof inspection and added some sealant...for which they charged me $552! I was charged for the time it took them to decided that they could NOT fix what needed fixing. I was beyond irritated. I asked why I was not called with an estimate and then why I was called saying my vehicle was ready, when in fact it was not. I was told that it was ready...just not with everything fixed. This place is a joke. Shame on them. They know they are one of the only places in this area of Nashville so they have jumped on the bandwagon of ripping off their customers. Shame on you Camping World. I shall tell everyone I know to avoid your location like, well, the pandemic we are now in! read more

Purchased a brand new fifth wheel from camping world in Nashville TN. The RV was not swept or cleaned. There was dust on all surfaces, debris on all floors. The shower has a major leak into the living area, master door does not close, outdoor grill does not work, a blind is completely missing, a drawer is tilted and won't close, TV is tilted, toilet roll holders not installed, dinette carpet has a stain, one blind does not latch on the bottom, storage door does not lock. This is a brand new RV (cougar halfton 32bhs). We called the camping world back immediately and told them all that was wrong. They documented it and advised to go to the nearest camping world near me and that all the issues will be taken care of under warranty. They said it was documented in the system and any camping world will see it and take care of it. We live about 4.5 hours away. The closest is in St. Louis. We called St. Louis and there is no service availability for at least 6 weeks. We call the next one which is 1.5 hours away and they give us a date in 3 weeks. It appears that Nashville never communicated with them as they promised and this camping site is saying that we have to haul the rv there to be evaluated, and that this will take a few days before they can tell us if the issues will be fixed/covered. What kind of crap is this? We basically have to take the rv there not knowing if they will fix the issues, then return on a different day to pick up the rv not knowing if all issues are taken care of. This is 2 full return trips for us (at least 1.5 hours each way for a total of at least 6 hours). The cost of gas is ridiculous and to fill up the tank on our truck to drive at least 6 hours for issues that should have been picked up by camping world in the first place. We can't even enjoy the RV that we purchased as we intended to because of all the issues, especially the shower that has a major leak. Also, the guy who walked us through the RV didn't know how most things worked and the guys who showed us how to hitch the rv just rushed right though it and told us to watch YouTube. We were promised a thorough walk through and precise instructions on how to hitch and unhitch, and we did not get this. Beware. Do not use this camping world. If I could give less than 1star, I would. They treat you nice until they get your money and then they treat you like crap. read more

Now I know why the reviews for this location are terrible, and I wish I had read them first. I am a Good Sam member and have a Good Sam Visa. I ordered a replacement AC unit for my RV, and was supposed to pick it up today. Received the order confirmation, getting 10x points on the card, and all appears good. The 90 degree weather makes it near 100 inside the RV, so I was happy to drive the 2-hours to pick it up so quickly. Then I see an email from them this morning stating I will receive a credit back on my Good Sam Visa. No explanation whatsoever. No other emails received in between the order confirmation and the refund to my card. Customer service was zero help. read more

Do not purchase from this location! We bought our travel trailer 2 years ago and have had nothing but problems with our camper and with camping world Nashville. It was poorly made. We bought the extended warranty for roof and structure and it is completely Useless. Year 1 had a leak on slide out due to dry rotted seal. Took 6 months of going back and forth and complaints with BBB to get it replaced. Yet, the roof was damaged as well and they never replaced it or the damaged furniture. Here we are at Year 2 and low and behold, the roof of the slide out that was never fixed, is now bowed in and leaking. This was not caused by sticks (as they would like to accuse of) My husband uses a leaf blower to blow off any and all debris everytime we've used it. Camping World Nashville will never except responsibility or accountability for the damage. For all we know they could have stepped on the roof while replacing the seal. We paid $25k for a camper that was very poorly made, paid extra for a warranty that is completely worthless, then we're ridiculed and dismissed by the maintenance shop and told that they only cover roofs for 90 days..Then WHY DID WE PURCHASE THE EXTRA WARRANTY ON THE ROOF AND STRUCTURE? This place and the people who work there is a joke! Go ANYWHERE ELSE to purchase a camper or for repairs, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM CAMPING WORLD NASHVILLE! I love Camping World! This is one of the better CW locations that I've been to. Each one is located near the interstate, in big cities. Each one has a RV sales section and camping and Rv'ing supplies. Each location gets a bad wrap and low ratings mostly because of the RV sales side of it. So you have an RV? Yes, you're going to have problems with it. This location is near the row of RV Parks close to Gaylord Opryland. There is KOA, Two Rivers Campground, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, and somewhere in the middle of that half mile or so strip, is Camping World. They sell everything from kitchen supplies to generators. I think it's safe to say that there isn't any other camping supply company that sells the amount of stuff that they carry here. The customer service here was exceptional. The gentleman that waited on us as we purchased the supplies to winterize our RV, was a true example of southern hospitality. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! LET OUR BAD EXPERIENCES BE ENOUGH FOR YOU!!! We purchased an A Class rig from this dealership and less than 6 months the value has dropped 54%. The sales people were not knowledgeable or well informed on details of any motorhomes we looked at. The lead financial officer would not cancel our extended warranty after 2 separate calls to do so; recently was informed that he no longer works there. The service/maintenance crew is uninterested in solving simple problems and if work has to be done, be very prepared for your things to not be where you left them. Not to mention the filth that's left over to clean. I'm not sure it's too much to ask when you call to be treated like they want your business, but this location has again proven me wrong in my expectation of how a business should operate. Since our terrible experiences, we have HAPPILY driven an extra 30 minutes to the Bowling Green location where we have received nothing but smiles and gratitude that we chose their location for servicing our A Class. read more

Had a water leak.....brought it to Camping World in Nashville, Tn....they charged us over $200 but did not find or fix the leak....We found it ourselves and fixed it ourselves . Try searching on this for air conditioner is useless, you have to wade through tons of unneeded items. Needed a hitch riser, web says limited stock. I go to store and they sold out a week ago. He told me limited stock means you have to call ahead. Needed a new ac unit, 2 of the stores listed limited stock which I now know means call ahead. No luck, one store tells me they don't have them, can't get them. The other store tells me they haven't been able to get them for awhile and has no idea when they will be in. About a month ago went to camping world to buy a camper did not buy one but gave a 200.00 cash deposit they told me that it would be two weeks to get it back now it almost a month and still nothing talked to some people but now they are saying two more weeks to get it back i would not recomend this place to anyone. Took our RV to Camping world for a few repairs, after a month and a half, started getting emails to take a survey to rate our satisfaction on the work completed, but no call from Camping world that the work was done....so we called, they weren't sure, would get back to us....no reply, then we call again, same thing. Finally after a few weeks of this we finally get told that the RV is ready. We picked up the RV, no problems, then when we get it to the house to go over everything, our Mini Green Egg and Stand were Stolen out of the main storage compartment. When we reached out to Camping World, we got the "we aren't responsible for items in the RV....". Which basically says we aren't able to manage what happens behind our locked gate. I get it, it's an expensive lesson, but guess where I won't go when I am buying my next RV or need service? read more

I hate to even give them 1 star but it didn't have a zero! This may be a long review but should be read. I also reported them to the B.B.B. and have written a review on several other review sites. I'm STILL waiting to see how it is handled. I was asked by their company thru a reply on this site which I have done with no reply still. I was also contacted by Erin Gleason with Camping World Digital Marketing Manager at Camping World and Good Sam in the Greater Chicago Area. She has contacted me and did say she is working to get a solution. Thus far, she has not been able to handle it. After filing the complaint on here, the Better Business Bureau and other sites they have finally responded at least. "LEAST" BEING THE KEY WORD!!! My name is Brandy Phillips. I bought a camper in April of this year (2019). I have had several issues. Let me start by saying I paid full listing price for the camper I bought. They actually charged more than they were supposed to. Problems since day of purchase. I had my first delivery date, they never showed up. They did not call. I called them to find out why they did not show, they said they could not find a driver? Odd right? I set a second date for delivery that the camper did not come. No one notified me that they were not coming. I had to call and ask where they were, both dates that they did not show. Then, finally they brought it. It was supposed to be cleaned which it definitely was not. It is dusty, the refrigerator still stinks like a dead animal, no exaggeration, and still has mold in it, the vents are filthy, the one in the living area is still broken and dirty, the windows are all dirty still, the floors, shower, cabinets, sink and toilet, stove, were all dirty. The wood floor where the slides are has sticky gunk in the crease which is visible, nothing was done. The fireplace is broken and supposed to be fixed it was not. I had a pricing issue, I was charged more than I was supposed to be. Finally, after many attempts I was told it was for a destination package which is not listed anywhere or approved by us. It was added without my consent. It is supposed to be for "hoses etc." I don't have the hoses they say I paid for or any "etc". This is the newest issue as of today. I have not received my title or tags which I paid for. I have spoken to and even went to the clerks office in my county and they absolutely do not have any paperwork for us on this. I can't take it anywhere or get insurance on it due to this. I can't even prove I own the camper since I have nothing but proof I gave them over $25,000.00. I have sent multiple requests for this to be dealt with, all requests were sent to several people at the Nashville lot. At this point I want to return the camper and get my money back. I feel that Camping World of Nashville is lacking customer skills, incapable of keeping their word or their part of the deal, and careless when it comes to appointment times, funds, all the guarantees that were in no way fulfilled. My next step is to take the paperwork, emails, texts and marketplace messages to the attorney. This has now been over two months since the purchase and none of the staff I have dealt with is willing to deal with it. Since I filed the complaint with the BBB they wrote that they have come to a resolution with me. I had not spoken to them at that time. I certainly did not and have not come to a resolution. Camping World did however get with the BBB the day I filed the complaint with the BBB. It is hard to understand why none of the employees, managers or even the C.E.O. Marcus Anthony Lemonis could find the time to speak to me. I originally fell in love with the camper. I hate the company has treated me like I am insignificant. Stayed at the KOA in Nashville, which is conveniently located next door to Camping World, and ended up upgrading to a new 5th wheel this weekend. The service department quickly went to work on getting our new 5th wheel cleaned, inspected and ready for us. They didn't have the hitch we needed in stock, but they offered to pull it to the KOA for us once we swapped out our stuff from our old trailer. We got to spend the rest of our weekend in our new 5th wheel!!! They installed our new hitch before we had to head home and even sent someone from the service department to the campgrounds to fix a few items needing attention/repair. The service department made our buying experience top notch. They really went out of their way to try to accommodate our needs and help us get everything up and running before we left for home. read more

Sharon and I were having a problem getting some things done (under warranty) to our 2020 Cougar. We had talked to several people, but nothing was getting done. We had to make the calls, because nobody would call us as promised. Then, there was a change in Service Management and everything changed for the BETTER. Jack is not new to Camping World, but has now stepped into the position of Service Manager. Good Choice, Camping World!! Jack took charge of our problem, returned our phone calls, showed concern, and followed through until the problem was resolved. Camping World, you need to find more like Jack! Thank you , Jack! CAMPING WORLD IS THE WORST PLACE ON THE PLANET FOR SERVICING YOUR CAMPER!!! My story begins in October 2021. I left my camper at Camping World in Nashville Tn, on Music Valley Drive for mainly cosmetic body repairs along with replacement need for the following items: Stairs, Axles, hydraulic jack and body work. After almost 8 months of waiting I was on my way to pick up my unit from my home in St. Augustine, Florida. On the way I called and asked the service writer, Lauren Tummins, to please check my batteries, which I asked to be replaced in December of 2021 by putting a load test on them since they were idle for over 6 months. She said okay. I arrived at the dealership and found that my batteries were dead. She replied that I needed a new converter. I asked if she a load tested my batteries? She wouldn't answer me. I said there was nothing wrong with the converter when I left it why should it be bad now. She replied "who knows things like this happen all the time." I was EXTREMELY UPSET at I was now being charged roughly $500 to do this. I then said after the converter change that my batteries were still dead and my refrigerator wasn't working now as well. She then said I needed an inverter for $1000. I was now blown away. I said do what you have to I need to get to New Jersey by 11:00 AM on Sunday. Jack, the tech, went to change the inverter and found that there was nothing wrong with it. There was a blown breaker behind my inverter. I replied I knew there was nothing wrong with it. This is all after I remarked that the paint work was poor at best. By this time it was late so I went over to the KOA which is a couple of hundred yards down the street and camped for the night. I noticed a nasty smell coming from my camper and found that the batteries were so hot that they weren't able to be touched and were spewing out a super strong sulfuric acid smell. This means the batteries have a dead cell and can't take a charge, but of course the converter was trying its best to charge them. Breathing in sulfuric acid is HIGHLY DANGEROUS! The next morning I drove it back to Camping World and told them, which Lauren gave me an extremely condescending look and said no way. I said these batteries need to be load tested. After a little while she sent another tech out to load test the batteries. When I asked her how did fare on the test she replied "we're getting you 2 new batteries sir." After a short while PJ, another tech, came out to exchange the batteries and said he couldn't believe how badly the smell of sulfur was. He smelt it many yards away. He also said he couldn't believe how warm the batteries were even the long after my arrival. I also noticed and brought her attention that when I was leaving the KOA I had NO BRAKES. My brake controller on the truck was set to 10 and nothing was happening. Lauren said that it takes 50 miles or so for them to brake in. While PJ was replacing the batteries I looked under my camper and saw that the brake lines weren't even attached. They were just hanging there. I then brought it to PJ's attention and he was shocked. I went in the store and told Lauren this and didn't believe me and said "sir they need to break in." I said if they're not hooked they will never break in. She then said "let me educate you on this sir." What a condescending thing to say to a guy who has been building and restoring cars for 40+ years. PJ then confirmed to her that the brakes were indeed not attached. PJ then went to work on connecting the wires and in doing so my wife were in the truck noticing that the brake controller on my dash was going on and off a few times and then stopped. Hence the reason for my truck not being able to work my brakes once the trailer was fixed. Jack, who eventually fixed the brakes, even made a point to Lauren that the brakes in fact not working before. While I was waiting for Jack to come and fetch the trailer to repair the brakes I was told by another camper that my right tail lights weren't working. I crawled under the camper and noticed that the wires there were also not connected. I told Lauren this and she said "that wasn't on the work order" when in fact the work order said to replace all 4 tail lights with new. Who lets a camper leave their store with out checking the lights. In fact the area they fixed was the rear cap because it was ripped off in the damage. Also just a small not that when they put my 4 wheels back on the camper, after replacing the axles, they left 2 lug nuts off of each of the wheels. The best is yet to come. I had to know go to a local GM dealer and have my brake controller on my dash repair because they surged it and blew it out while repairing while my truck was connected. Even better when I arrived at my location and went to use my camper I found that a surge blew out my mother board on my washer/dryer, dishwasher and my central vacuum. This must have all came about from the huge surge that blew out the breaker behind my inverter. read more

I found a used travel trailer on their website with in my budget so I called. The sales person said it was available so my wife and I went there. Once we arrived the sales person met us at the reception desk with a piece of paper of the location of RV in their inventory. We walked around for about 10 mins looking with the sales person they said let them go inside because the RV had been moved. They told us that the RV has been sold.....(the old bait and switch) stay away from these people they are dishonest read more

When we purchased our camper right at a year ago we were extremely happy as this was the first camper we had purchased. We read several articles that said that they were unhappy with the follow on services that were provided from camping world and lo and behold now we are too. I called back around April or March time frame to have repairs done on our camper that we've had barely a year and I was told that I couldn't get in until May to be seen due to a backlog of service. I finally get my camper in over a month ago which was at the end of April or beginning of May and I was told that the only thing that was fixed was the water heater because they had forgot to take it out of winterization mode when they gave it back to me. The paneling is buckling in my bathroom, the wallpaper is peeling off of the walls, they lost my strap over my battery to contain my battery, and today I receive an email not even a phone call but an email to tell me that they are not going to cover any of my damages neither will forest river because the damages would have expired with my one year in April. However, when you look at the timeline that I called to have my services fixed it was prior to my one-year expiration of my warranty. On top of that we purchase the insurance through an external company that they recommended and they won't cover anything either so what the hell is the point of having external insurance? So now I have a camper that is one year old that I brought in to have looked at at the beginning of May that I'm just now getting an answer for that I've called several times and couldn't get a return call only to be told via email that they won't cover any of my damages that were not of our own fault. Thank you camping world of Nashville you have absolutely lived up to the negative reviews that we had read about you, I hope that you do right by your other customers because as a first time camper buyer you definitely didn't do right by us. This is absolutely pitiful service for a group of people who are looking to enjoy themselves and spend thousands of dollars in your store. This is unsatisfactory on every level, I'll never spend another dollar in any camping world anywhere. read more

Beware of this place. Terrible customer service. Terrible service department. Had leak in one of my slides and it's been back twice and still leaks. They won't work with Winnebago to try and resolve problem. Lauren was very nasty and rude on the phone when I spoke with her. I will never go to Camping World in Nashville again. They hate to do warranty work because they're not making as much money on you. If you have Good Sam Warranty they treat you a lot different and are happy to serve you. Horrible place. read more

Worst Camping World service department in the country! Why you ask? 1) The lead service supervisor did not have time to return phone calls two days in a row despite multiple voice calls. 2) "Chelsy" a receptionist, insisted someone would call us back to discuss a serious service issue with our RV. After the second day of no returned calls, she refused to transfer is to the service department for yet another voice mail. 3) once I finally walked in to discuss the issue, the senior service supervisor said he can't help us unless he can have the motor home for more than 24 hours "for legal purposes." So, aside from exceptionally high prices, poor customer relations and a propensity for taking "legal" courses of action because they run a "multi-billion dollar company", his specific Camping World is not well stocked, appears to make more money from selling RVs, not servicing or supporting them. In short, it's a quick mart of RV support. You are better off going to Walmart for materials and assistance. read more

Went in here for some parts. I stood in line waiting for my turn. The long haired dude that seemed to be the parts guy finished with the customer in front of me and then walked off to another counter. After standing there for awhile, I asked some of the guys sitting in front of their computers, if they were parts guys, no, they were service guys and pointed at long haired dude. Long haired dude was now sitting at a computer in the service area. I asked long haired dude if he was the parts guy ? That seemed to annoy long haired dude, he gave me a very annoyed look and said yes !! I gave him the shurflo part number and was told they don' t stock it. Long haired dude went back to his computer and I left having had another fine day at CW !!! read more

As Chris said, this is the camping mecca. Camping world has everything you might ever want for your camper, and other things you don't know you need. They even have RV repair services....not sure it is cheap but I'll keep it in mind for my awning that is ripped. I went specifically for a generator. They have them and the price was high, but there was a sale price. In order to get it though I had to sign up for their Good Sams card which cost $$ but gave you a free night at a campsite. I was like um whatever, I only camp at NASCAR events, but sure. I did get my generator and a checker flag awning so it was a successful trip overall. Then I went to Walmart to get gas cans, coolers, twist ties, etc. so as to save some money. read more

If you need anything for your camper or even if your a tent camper then this is the place for you. It has everything you will ever need to go camping. Now with that being said.... Your going to pay for it. This place is extremely expensive. Most of the everyday items you can get at Wal-Mart like toilet paper for the camper and treatment cubes the tanks. One thing about this place is they do make "Roughing it" smooth.Just walk around and you will be surprised at the things people have thought of that makes camping better. So if you need something to go camping then this place has it so don't waste your time going anywhere else just make sure you bring your Credit Card. read more

Purchased a used hybrid travel trailer from CW on July 21st. Everything was fine at first. My salesman, Matt, is literally the ONLY redeeming thing about this company and he was great. Took the camper out for the first time on August 24th. My daughter went to climb in her bunk and it busted right through the frame. In checking we see that the wood has dry rotted and separated from the bunk. I am guessing they kept the bunks open on the lot because there was no moisture when I looked at the camper. So now, thirty three days later I have to pack up my campsite and head home because we can't sleep in the camper we have never used. We call them the next day and they can't fit us in until September 11th. Nobody can tell us if the extended warranty we purchased will cover this until they see it. How can this NOT be your responsibility when I have barely owned this thing for thirty days? Fast forward to September 11th. My husband rushes to get the camper there after work. Upon arrival they tell him he isn't on their schedule. What? So we must have just picked a random day weeks after the problem that was highly inconvenient for us to bring the camper to you. They luckily let us leave it. He spoke with the sales manager who still couldn't confirm or deny if this was covered under the extended warranty. Still haven't heard a peep from anyone there. Why would I, though? They already have my money and now they have my camper too. Once (IF) this issue is resolved I can guarantee I will never give Camping World my business again. read more

I hate to even give one star! BUYERS BEWARE! My husband and I started to purchase a camper from Camping World, but quickly changed our mind. I was already a little apprehensive because their sales staff acted very shady. After we found the camper we wanted and started the paperwork, the sales manager said the model we picked was already sold and he didn't know it. Ok, RED FLAG number 2. He said but we can find another one just like it but it might take a few days or longer. I wish I would have acted on my gut instinct to leave right then, but we went ahead with the paperwork because we had already wasted hours there. We waited for a very long time after the paperwork was turned in, just for them to tell us that the finance manager wasn't there and that they would call us about the credit application the following day. The next day came and went with no call from them. I called them after not hearing from them for 2 days. I finally got the finance manager on the phone and he started giving me these different interest rates. I said how did you manage to get so many different rates? He proceeded to tell me that he ran our credit with 4 different banks! I was livid! He never let us know that was going to happen. The first rate was fine. He didn't even ask us if we wanted to see if we could get a lower rate. He just took it upon himself to do it. Now my husband and I have 4 inquiries on our credit! As you can imagine this isn't the only thing I'm doing about this! Do not purchase anything from them! read more
