Stayed one night - Friday April 3rd. Did not realize our room would not be beach side. Instead it was an outdated studio across A1A. Murphy bed was very uncomfortable and probably would not have booked it if I knew it would be a murphy bed. My biggest complaint was that we had until 10am to check out but at 8am with no knock or warning whatsoever the maid service came into our room. Scared me to death. And then had to ask if I wanted them to leave. Needless to say I complained when we checked out and was assured that management would be in touch to resolve our issue. Guess what - a month and a half later and no contact from them. DO NOT STAY HERE $300+ for one night is no bargain whatsoever. read more

We come to Pompano Beach often and after this stay we will definitely look to stay here in the future. We have been timeshare owners for over 20 years, so we have extensive experience in staying in timeshares. This place was shown as a Gold Crown, but unless they have lowered the standards on what a gold crown means, I can't understand how it got this rating. Their COVID cleaning procedures seemed to be under control and our room felt clean. Our room was a 1 bedroom, 2 bath with an ocean view. We were excited to have the view and it was very nice. The rest of the room was old and run down. The kitchen was small, the appliances outdated (we couldn't get the refrigerator to get very cold) and there were many holes in the tile throughout the unit. The TV was the smallest I have ever seen, and 95% of the shows were in letterbox format which made them even smaller. We moved 2 chairs right up to the TV so we could watch it. They attempted to modernize the bathroom sinks, but the bowls and faucet are awkward and the water doesn't drain well. The walls are paper thin and you can actually hear people pee in the room upstairs. The bed was comfortable and the water in the shower was nice and hot. The beach is easily accessed so we were glad to have brought our beach chairs. Umbrellas were hard to use as it was very windy all days. We had hoped there would be many choices for outdoor dining within walking distance, but that wasn't the case. Now comes my biggest gripe. We were awoken at 6 am by someone moving into the unit next to ours. They were loud and out of control and stayed that way all morning. I called and asked if there was another unit we could take as this one was noisy. No empty rooms, so we were stuck. We continued having issues every day. The room was occupied by 5 men in their 20's, who were there to party. They would sit on the balcony, smoking cigars and dropping the f bomb every other word. We called the office several times and they said they would deal with it. They had warned us when we arrived that if we didn't wear masks on the grounds we would be asked to leave. We took pictures of these guys without masks, and all the front desk did was warn them that if one more event occurred, they would be asked to leave. 2 nights in a row they came in at 1 am and were up until 3 am, being loud and obnoxious. We called the second night and they called the room. They told us that the young men were so nice on the phone and said they would behave. We decided after being there only 4 nights that we had enough and checked out. I have never experienced an incident like this in all my timeshare experiences, or for that matter, any hotel stays. These guys ruined our vacation and management did nothing to make it right. Update: The Operations Manager called and was very apologetic. There was miscommunication among the staff or else the guests we had problems with would have been asked to leave before we had a chance to leave. He informed us they were asked to leave when he realized what happened. They we kind enough to re-deposit our week into the RCI system because of our bad experience. We are happy with the outcome, but disappointed in our experience there. read more

I'll start by saying the people that work here saved this from being a one star. They're all so helpful and nice. Legit loved them. That's being said this wasn't what I was expecting after booking. The room was super small with a pull down bed and a pull out couch. Super uncomfortable and cramped. Just felt kinda mislead based on what we expected. I can't even begin to explain this gorgeous place. The view from the beach front rooms is amazing. The rooms were immaculate. When you go to the pool area you feel like you drifted to a tropical oasis. So much beauty to soak in. The whole establishment is extremely clean and very well maintained. Every employee willing to greet you with a warm welcome and have a conversation with you like they so glad you are staying in their resort. The only bad thing about this place is we had to leave the view behind. If you want a very quiet place at the beach for family or just a couple, this is the spot. read more

The time share has two buildings I stayed at the one East of A1a. The hotel is well kept and Maintained. It is a short 2 minute walk to the beach. If you love the beach it's a wonderful place that you would easily overlook it's short comings. The location is a short drive to shopping of all kids. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. The pool and hot tub are clean and spacious enough. The short comings are the studio I had came with a Murphy bed that was a hassle to pull down at night push back up in the morning. The tv is small , my computer screen at home is bigger. The kitchen space is small. The unit was clean and well maintained the space was ok for a couple. Overall not a bad place . read more

We were fortunate to get in to Canada House in mid Sept 2017, after being bumped from another timeshare suffering Hurricane damage. It's older, only 6 stories on the ocean side. Old is often better. Sea side is definitely better. Our Oceanside unit on 2nd floor seemed huge. It's a conversion so the bedroom and living area seemed too large. Yes, there's a Murphy bed in the living area. Nice balcony, small TVs. Nice property. We'll stay again. One comment on Timeshare Presentations. This is Florida, home of the best TS salespersons. They are paid to lie, so no matter how persuasive the CH orientation person may be, or how much they offer ... just say NO! Not worth the time, or stress. Be sure to eat lunch at the Fish Shack. I really enjoyed my stay here. It was short notice and I booked for 4 days via Airbnb and decided to stay an extra day and they accommodated me. It was a tad more than what I originally paid but it was fine. Service was great, room was clean and sanitized. I stayed across the street from main building. The entrance to the beach is absolutely beautiful and room service was a delight. There are three areas to park. But my only dislike is no security cameras. Its on Ocean and it does have a bit of traffic foot, bikes, and cars. Police drive by often, which I appreciated. Plenty of outside lounge areas. The only issue I had was someone hopped the fence and decided to use the hot tub as a foot rinse. I literally was sitting right there and he scared the heck out of me. He apologized and left. I didn't report it but it does seem easily accessible if someone wanted to really get in. They had onsite laundry, vending($1) very reasonable, and ice machine. Pool area was nice as well as hot tub. They do provide complementary beach chairs if you are staying at the hotel/timeshare. They also provide pool toys/accessories for play. Also provided luggage trolly. I will definitely be back and book here again. I looked for future dates on Airbnb but it seems as if they are already booked up for the remainder of the year. I will keep trying. These are timeshares that are rented out and it operates as a hotel. Check in was painless and I was able to check in earlier than 4p since my room had already been clean. Provided kitchen necessities. Easy access to a ton of places. You don't have to take an Uber/Lift to certain places as there is a complementary shuttle. read more

This was our second time staying at The Canada House Beach Club. We enjoyed it so much last year that we decided to come back! All staff were very friendly and helpful. The office sits adjacent to a beautiful pool and hot tub spa. There are plenty of tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, which I think are all new since last year. They also have a couple of yard games setup for guests to play. Last year we had a room with ocean view. This year, since we booked at the last minute, we had a poolside room on the 3rd floor. Even though we didn't have an ocean view from the room, we still enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool. Plus, we could walk right outside our room and see the ocean. The view from the condo was amazing! To your left, you could see the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse. All around was what seemed like an endless view of the ocean and beach. The kitchen was equipped with a full kitchen (full size refrigerator, dishwasher, 4-burner cooktop and oven, blender, coffee pot, electric can opener, and countertop oven) with plenty of cookware, dinnerware, and accessories. Everything worked perfectly! We had everything we needed. Adjacent to the kitchen was a small dining table and four chairs (with two extra chairs stored in a nearby closet). Our unit was a studio (no separate bedroom). The living area had a hide-a-bed couch, two side chairs, end tables, and a coffee table. Opposite the sitting area was a large entertainment unit that was housing a Murphy bed. Once the bed was pulled down, you had plenty of storage on each side for clothes and personal items. Even with the Murphy bed open, there was still plenty of room to move around the room. The entertainment unit also housed a pullout TV that swiveled to be seen from the kitchen, seating area, or balcony. There was also a DVD/VHS player available, and I believe movies could be checked out from the office. The unit also included a decent sized clothes closet (accessed through two sliding doors), a utility closet (which contained a safe), and a bathroom. The bathroom had a single sink, tub/shower, toilet, and hairdryer. Above the bathtub was a pull-out clothes line to hang your wet clothes when returning from the beach. Very convenient! Whenever we needed anything, we would go by the office and they always had what we needed, to include beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas. You could exchange your beach towels when needed. They have a large list of other items available for guests to checkout during their visit. Very accommodating! Access to the beach was easy. The club sits right on the beach. Just a short walk across the bridge (that crosses a small lagoon) and you are at the beach! Upon returning from the beach, there is a shower and foot shower available to rinse off and get rid of a majority of the sand. They have a large bin of beach toys for the kids and access to BBQ grills and outdoor seating and dining. You can also watch the iguanas lounge in the afternoon sun, not to mention all the smaller lizards you'll see throughout the grounds. The club offers lots of amenities, more than I can list. They even have coin-operated washers and dryers to handle your laundry needs. For most of our visit, when going by the office in the evenings, Gleb was working. (They have someone working the office 24/7). Just like last year, he was beyond helpful and courteous. He helped us checkout items and provided suggestions on seafood restaurants to visit in the area. He was a genuinely nice guy; we definitely enjoyed visiting with him. We absolutely loved our stay at The Canada House Beach Club. Just like last year, everything was great! Although everything is in great condition, the rooms are not necessarily equipped with modern furnishings and finishes, but that isn't a priority for us. Everything was clean, comfortable, and like-new, which was all that mattered to us! If you are looking for a laid back, casual place to stay, with great service, top-notch views, and easy beach access, this is the place for you! Located on Ocean Drive and near A1A (the main North/South drag) there are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Very easy to get around. Prior to leaving the resort last year, we had already discussed making The Canada House Beach Club in Pompano Beach an annual trip. And, that's exactly what we did! read more

We booked through RCI and was told that our room would be oceanfront. When we got our confirmation from Canada House, we were across the street and not oceanfront. Of course when we called RCI they told us that it "wasn't their fault but Canada House was at fault" and we were told to contact them. We spoke to several members of their wonderful staff that apologized for RCI and advised us that it WAS in fact RCI's fault. There are no free upgrades as it states on the confirmation but the manager felt so bad for us about the situation that he offered us a discount on an upgrade which we took. It still unfortunately was no ocean front but at least we were on the same side as the ocean. I went to social media about RCI and the way they treated us and was contacted by an RCI customer support representative. She was wonderful and very apologetic on behalf of RCI and worked until she got us a room on the 5th floor and ocean front. The view was spectacular and the staff was great and always helpful! The room was absolutely spotless when we arrived. I cannot say enough good things about the Canada House...from the beach to the lagoon to the room to the staff...keep doing what you are doing. The only thing that I thought would be a great improvement would be room darkening curtains for the bedroom with the king bed. It was a little brighter than I'm used to. We drove down almost 16 hours from West Virginia and had a great time! We will be back! Thanks for everything! read more

My family and myself were lucky enough to have great friends who allowed us to enjoy this vacation. This hotel was nice, but nothing over the top. The rooms were very basic and had that feeling that you were in a hotel. I don't know if it was me or what, but if you are a timeshare holder and as much time and money as the put into getting guest to purchase them they would give you a better room than we received. Our room was located in the West Building which was across the street and not in sight of the beach. The rooms were very small. The rooms included a couch, a chair, a bed that folded out of the wall, small kitchen, and a bathroom. The bed is right in the middle of the room so once it was down you couldn't move around the room. The rooms were equipped with these "Eco-friendly" thermostats that allowed your room to get so hot it was miserable when you came back to the room. I don't know about you but when I go to the beach I look forward to the nice cold room! The hotel had 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. There was a set for each building. The swimming pool on our aide of the street was dirty all week and the day they cleaned it, it was closed all day. The Good: The staff was friendly for the most part. The pools were open all night, which some people may not like because of the loud talking and splashing. We only heard people down there the first night and if people were swimming late they were usually quiet. There are activities planned for each day. The main office has a decent movie and book rental selection which is free. The Beach is on the end beside an inlet so it wasn't very busy with people. This hotel is located to a lot of attractions and reatraunts. The Bad: They come to your room and try to sell you timeshares. This is known as your "Welcome Package". They close the pool down all day when they clean it. The rooms are very small and they are too worried about saving theirselves money rather than you being comfortable. When you walk across the street to go to the beach there is a very sharp turn where people fly around. It is very dangerous. They have free wifi for one device and one device only. If you put it on your computer you have to pay to put it on your cell phone. I've never been somewhere that made you do this. There wasn't very many people staying here or very many rooms. It was slow even once you finally jumped through the hoops to get connected! Overall: This is a basic cheap hotel on the Beach. There isn't one thing this place has to offer that makes me want to come back or refer anyone. If you want a place to stay and don't care about the room this is the place for you. read more

Our family of 6 stayed here in August​ 2018 for 7 nights. We stayed in a one bedroom that also had a Murphy​ bed and pull out couch, 2nd floor ocean side room. This was a great space for us. Staff is always available, friendly and helpful. Grounds​ were well kept and clean. Our kids loved the pool that is at their location. Also loved the very short walk to access the beach easily. They had everything you needed to stay for this length of time, and were happy to answer any questions about the area. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. read more

The only thing good I can about this place is that is very clean, that it, everything else work agains you to have a good time, there are Iguanas al over the place, if you don't know Iguanas naturally like to poop in water so you have the pool there, well you do the math. Two, in every hotel or Resort I ever stayed they just have a quiet time from 9:00pm to 9:00am every day and thats great so everybody can have a good night sleep, well Canada house their quiet time is 24 hours, I understand no noise in the room but they don't even want you to make noise at the pool area, on 4th of July my Family and I decide to spend the day at the pool before going to the pier to enjoy the fireworks, well by 2:45pm we play some music in a little speaker (those that you connect to your iPhone, not laud at all), well they ask us to turn it down because it was disturbing to other guest, come on Independence Day everywhere was noise due to the fireworks. Three, no gym in this Resort, come on a Resort without a Gym, they said is to expensive to keep, please! Four, the AC did not work properly the two weeks We were there all they need it to do was just change the batteries on the thermostat, I ask them to change it and the lady said that she was the only one at the office and she could not leave the office, thats fine I ask her to give me the batteries to change it myself, she give me some old batteries that work for two days (it was 82 inside) them I stop by the office to report the AC AGAIN, this time it was a guy there he said that he have new batteries but he don't know how to change it, I told him that I can do it, but he did not want to give me the batteries (maybe I will steel the batteries), after I insist he said he will give me the batteries with one condition if I bring him the old ones right away. Please! Five, there is only one elevator and all the time is busy by house keeping or is out of order, so good exercise to use the stairs, a substitute of not having a gym heh! Six, well there is more but I think is enough for you. The cars to carry your bags are lock so you need to check them out at the font desk, the beach is very private but full of seaweed because is so private the City of Pompano they don't clean it every day like they do on the rest of the beach. And nothing is at walking distance so you need to drive all the time. read more

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! I have been an owner at this Timeshare resort for 30 years. I spent my usual week there in late July this year (2019). A month later I'm reviewing my credit card statement and see an unexpected charge for $250! So I called the resort thinking it was a simple mix-up. I spoke with the resort manager, Brian Rozler, who informed me that the $250 charge was a FINE for smoking in the room. But no one in my party smokes and so we DID NOT smoke in the room. Brian refused to remove the charge and said he personally visited the room and couldn't rent it for 2 weeks after we stayed as it smoked so bad of smoke. That's total BS as neither of us smoked in there as we don't smoke. And it certainly didn't have any noticeable smell of anything when we checked out. What's even more annoying is no one called or wrote to tell me of the issue, just a charge on my CC. I am livid over this as I have no way to prove otherwise now, it's my word against his. If you do stay here, be sure to have someone come to your room when checking out to verify there is no smell of smoke so this doesn't happen to you. The resort appears to be financially hurting and so I think this manager is trying to pump up the numbers with fines. Who knows what other unsavory behavior they are up to. read more
