This restaurant was right next to our hotel, which is super convenient! Great location. To start, the service was okay; the host wasn't the friendliest but our waiter was pretty nice. We were also seated quickly, which was a plus. For the food, I had the Quesabirria and the actual tacos themselves were fantastic. The shells were fried to an actual crisp, which made them super crunchy and delicious. Also, the meat inside was plentiful and you absolutely got your monies worth. The rice and beans were extremely bland, though. Not a lot of flavor at all and I just wasn't a fan. The chips and salsa were good, though. The salsa came in a little glass and we also received two small bowls so you can pour your own so you can double dip! Great idea. read more

Quick service, and a good amount of food. I had the shrimp tacos and they were loaded with shrimp. They definitely didn't scrimp on the shrimp! Only one drawback: Pepsi products. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the staff have great customer service. I'm from Texas and the food had authentic to Tex-Mex vibes.

We were hungry and just in front of the Cancun Mexican Restaurant when we decided to give it a try. The food was great and so was the service. We started off with a bean dip for our chips. The dip was amazing but felt we probably should have had a little more beans. It was served in a very narrow dish. Between us we ordered several different food items. There were no complaints and only raves about how good the food was. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place. The service good, prices just right and food delicious. Portions were big and we ended up taking a lot of it home in a to-go box with us. read more

While I have always enjoyed dining at Cancun Mexican restaurant I have only been at this location under a handful of times. After the treatment and disrespect to my friend I will be blasting bad reviews everywhere I can for this location. I went to dinner with 4 of my friends tonight and one has a disability and brought her service dog. she was asked to leave or to put her service dog for her disability in the car. The temperature was 30 degrees outside when she was asked this. The American Disability Act clearly states that a handler w their service dog cannot be refused service and cannot even be asked to move outside to dine. The dog should be treated as you would medical equipment like oxygen to someone who needs oxygen or a wheelchair to someone who cannot walk. This whole experience had my jaw to the floor. We even had someone dining who told us how bad it was that we did not leave when asked. The guy who had something to say did so as he was leaving of course. The dog was quiet, wasn't barking, wasn't begging for food, was lying under the table the whole time were were there. I could see why the manager would act like this if the dog was not well behaved and disruptive to ppl dining. If you are disabled w a service dog do not even try to go here. We we're told as we we're leaving we would not be served again and we didn't even have a service dog and we weren't causing a scene but did stand our ground to the guy who acted hateful to us of course as he was leaving. The golden rule clearly doesn't stand anymore in our society. I am just in awe. my dad was in Vietnam and if he had a service dog and went to eat at this restaurant and the owner treated him this way it wouldn't have been pretty. Don't give this restaurant the time of day. read more

This is not Mexican "cuisine" but if you want some good Mexican grub, with big portions at a reasonable price, then you'll find this place is just fine. Our table of 4 was seated promptly. Our waiter, who was adorable and very friendly and entertaining, came right over to get our drink orders. He gave us a fair amount of time to peruse the menu, as we were all finding it hard to make up our minds. Vegetarians - there are several good options for you on this menu. The food was good and the prices were very fair. everyone was pleased with their selections. The service was good, although it did take longer than it should have to bring us our check, and they did firget my pico de gallo and hot sauce for my fish tacos, it took a long time for them to bring that out to me, so a little more attention to detail is needed. When a friend from Cali, my son and I first stepped in, it was quiet - perfect - I was happy and ready to eat some awesome food and enjoy the fabulous company. The waiter, however dull and dingy his attitude and white shirt were, would not ruin my dinner. Though as the moments passed, my Holly Go Lightly turned to Holly Go Grizzly as he several times talked down to the new host as the new guy had no idea as to the various sauces for the tortilla chips. The waiter's frustration turned on us as we became the new guy and rushed our food, bill continually appearing. In his last attempt at getting the bill and asking us for no desert, this guy had the nerve to take the last half of our pitcher of Mango Margarita and when we told him he could've waited until we were done, he said, "Well, I can bring it back and you can stay here until midnight." On that note, we told him to take the check and we were out of there. The food was fine, Mango Margarita - Bangin', but don't cut me off unless my top is off and I'm yellin for a table dance! Yelpers, I will not visit another Cancun's unless I'm IN Cancun... From now on, this gal is going pure south or no south. I'll stick to my momma Concha's Enchiladas and tamales! We ordered the "Special Dinner", there was nothing special about it. Don't get me wrong it's a lot of food but none of it is seasoned. The taco meat is just fried or boiled hamburger in a shell with lettuce and no taste cheese on top. The cheese dip is watery and will not stay on the chip. The rice is ok but not great. Most of this stuff comes from a can and you can tell. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the server was good at her job. And whatever you do do not use the women's restroom, there was water pooled in the floor and it was not clean. Ugh! My first experience will most definitely be my last. read more

I'm from Texas and this place would get run out of town! I ordered the Carne asada which consisted of a few very thin tasteless dry pieces if some sort of beef that tasted like an unseasonably burger pan fried and set out to dry. The beans tasted like refried from a can and it was the best thing on my plate. The rice might as well have been plain white as it was completely tasteless. I put the salsa in it hoping it would taste better. The waiter didn't refill my tea at all and I left (after a few bites) hungry and thirsty. Outside, i noticed that someone threw away their leftovers in the trash just outside of the front door. I didn't bother taking mine home. My husband made a face after his first bite of a beef burrito. He left hungry as well. We laughed so hard in the car. The owner really should come to Texas and try real Mexican food.
