The outside of the building isn't overly inviting, but the food and service was great. Fir starters, the chips, salsa, and cheese dip were awesome. The salsa had the right level of spice without being too spicy for kids. The cheese dip was hot and had a nice rich flavor. I ordered the "speedy gonzalez" because it was sort of a small combo plate with a beef taco, beef enchilada, rice, and beans. The taco was good, shell had a good crunch and i could tell it was fairly fresh. The enchilada was good, but I feel like they used a canned red sauce which was a little bland, but far from bad tasting. The rice and beans were amazingly seasoned adn very tasty. My wife had a chicken fajita burrito which tasted fresh and was very flavorful. The service was fast and courteous. This was out first mexican since living in the area, and I feel like we need to taste the rest since this experience and the food was so excellent. The do offer military discount. read more

Why did I think it was a good idea to ever come back? Decided to give the Taco Tuesday special another shot. Only this time I ordered them to go. Figured this experience world turn out okay. What a mistake! Waited longer than I expected for tacos that when I was dining in, took just a few minutes to arrive. I'm thinking they put take out customers at the back of the line and don't care as much. I could be wrong, but it seems that way. They seem understaffed as well. Took my bag back to the hotel across the street and when I took the container out of the bag I noticed immediately that it was cool to the touch. Something wasn't right. Opened up the box and felt the chicken and pork inside, COLD. Not even lukewarm. Gross. It took me less than two minutes to cross the street and get in my hotel room. This is unacceptable. I immediately took my bag of cold tacos back to the restaurant across the street. When I was asked "Is something wrong?" by the man who had just helped me I told him the tacos were cold and it seemed like no big deal to him. He tried to explain away cold pork or chicken to the cold temperature of the lettuce. Are you serious? I make tacos all the time at home and if the chicken is hot like it's supposed to be it makes the lettuce warm, not the other way around. He reiterated "Yeah the lettuce and cheese make it cold. A lot of people bring back their take out and say it's cold.." Hmm. Does that make sense? So you get a lot of complaints from your take out customers about cold food and you 1, don't take it too seriously, or 2, don't do anything to change the way you do business? How about changing your operation to make it work for your guests who give you their hard earned money? Why is this place still in operation? I was asked if I wanted more tacos or my money back. I took the money and ran. Ran far, far away from this place. I'll never give this restaurant a chance again. Two disappointing experiences is enough. Tried this restaurant while in town on business. We were seated promptly in a booth with a window view. The restaurant is decorated in typical Mexican restaurant style, which is nice. The service was actually very fast and the food was decent. The prices were very low, and you get a LOT to eat! Consider sharing a plate or you can take your leftovers with you for 1-2 more meals. Not the best Mexican food I've had, but it was decent. It was very loud, and there were some patrons that were getting pretty tipsy (including the ones behind me rocking the booth). When I moved to town, I didn't think I'd have many options but Cancun did not disappoint! Every time I eat in, friendly faces have welcomed me within minutes (on a busy night, I waited *maybe* two minutes to be seated) and I experience that same customer service throughout my entire meal. Not once has my drink gone empty nor stomach gone I filled. The food (I always get a cheese quesadilla, sometimes with sour cream on the side. Though I've been second hand witness to chicken nachos and the street tacos, as well as the chips/salsa.) is always amazing and after trying their lunch special #5 this week, I am sure when I try something new it will be just as good. When I use a delivery service, the food is just as good. Warmth is sometimes lacking but that is to be expected. I still get the full experience, chips and salsa included, and the mango soda is never disappointing. Safe to say, I eat here at least once a week. The food is good. Everytime I have eaten here this place is packed. That is a sign they are doing something right. Service is always polite and helpful. Food is great. I would not take the queen here, but for friends, family, and co-workers; it is wonderful Mexican food. Also, it is very affordable. Our plates all have been under $10. read more

I'll make this simple. My boyfriend goes to UCM and we are both Mexican food addicts. I'm actually from Texas so I have pretty high standards when it comes to Mexican food...and from the start this place has delivered. We literally come here once a week because the food is good and the drinks are cheap. Sometimes the service is a little subpar (though there are a few reliable waiters who make up for this) but everyone is friendly, the food arrives quickly and everything is always brought to us exactly as it was ordered. I haven't tried any other places in town (though the boyfriend has and prefers this to the rest) but I'm more than happy to stick with this joint. It's a winner in my book. read more

Been here 30 minutes and spent 10 minutes trying to get seated and waited another 20 minutes for the server to come take our drink order. The place is packed so the food must obviously be delicious. There's even a line to leave this place (pay the bill). Just looking at the menu, they have exactly the same menu as Tequila Jalisco in Knob Noster. You can save yourself the long wait to be seated and served and also avoid the super loud atmosphere by going to Tequila Jalisco. read more

I had the carnita fajita. It was pork, with grilled onions. There were fresh avocado slices with the shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato. ABSOLUTELY delicious! I fancy myself somewhat of a connoisseur on Mexican restaurants, used to work at one and I eat Mexican at least once a week and have ate at cancun several times. so trust me when I say they have switched to bottom of the barrel food. first the chips were stale and cold and the cheese dip had literally no flavor, it was basically like eating tasteless texture. when I get my food the rice and beans (not a gourmet food item at Mexican restaurants to begin with) were well below par. rice always sucks but the beans had an odd taste...almost like there is a new filler in them. and finally the main course was a fajita quesadilla bravo and it tasted like their burnt greasy grill. no joke if I didn't have an iron stomach I probably would have got heart burn bad. all portions were noticeably ownsized. also they lost their liquor license so no margaritas to wash the awful taste of their food away. I usually don't leave reviews but I had to for this. if I save even one poor sole from going through what I did all this typing will be worth it read more
