I've always wanted to try this little restaurant and we finally did. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Good classic menu items at decent pricing for this economy. About $20 per person depending on your order. Great chips & salsa, both taste like they're freshly homemade. The food doesn't taste the same as every other Mexican chain restaurant. This is my first time dining at Cancun. It's going to be my last. My partner and I came in, looking forward to sitting at the bar and having a good experience. The bartender was extremely un attentive, unfriendly and unwelcoming. For somebody who has worked in the restaurant industry it is extremely disappointing. The bartender also decided to fill the sink with Pine-Sol and start cleaning while we're sitting right there eating our food which was a real turn off for our dinner, all we could do was smell and taste Pine-Sol. We didn't get any water and was not asked for any refills for our beer not to mention we ordered two shots of tequila from the top shelf and I was blown away to find out when we got our tab that they were $38 for each shot which seems completely out priced for the location of where we were dining. I'm happy to pay for a tab when I felt like at least the service was good. I felt as though I got taken advantage of this evening with regard to the price of the alcohol and just overall bad service. My husband and I came in and we had Jackie as our server. She was friendly and very professional. Great service I had the fajitas and my husband had the alhambre de res. Both had great flavor. The rice and beans also had great flavor. Prices were reasonable and the portions were large. Small parking lot but clean restrooms! Stop by and have a meal, you will not be disappointed. I have ate here a handful of times with my family. Their food has always been pretty good! The staff ate kind and atrentive. The restaurant always looks clean and well maintained. Last time, I got the Chile Relleno. I was excited to try it but when I cut it open, all of this water liquid came out. It was soggy and the cheese has clumped up inside of it. Im not sure what happened but it was not enjoyable. I have had their tamales a few times and they are quite good though. I would try this restaurant again but I will be staying away from the Chile Relleno. read more

The food is AMAZING! Tastes just like grandma's and takes me back to sitting in her kitchen. Everyone was so nice, helpful, drinks were never empty. Has now become my go to when I want true authentic Mexican food. Inside is clean, has dim lights but enough to enjoy and have good conversation. This is my favorite spot. Comfort food when I need it. Can't go wrong with crunchy tacos or enchiladas. The service is always great. Please have patience if it's busy it is worth waiting for. Love the upgrades that came this last year need a drink check out the Bar. read more

The food was good. Salsa had a nice kick.The problem, I think was the staffing. It looked like 1 bartender, 1 waitress trying to serve 2 different rooms and a very tired looking older bubbly. This was probably the worst Mexican restaurant I been too, salsa is like out of a jar not authentic or made by the staff and the food is flavorless. We had a variety of different food at our party and nothing was good. Our waitress which was an older lady was really good but the other one was which was the younger one was making us feel uncomfortable and was being weird. So disappointed, I ordered two menudos they were 2/3 full, very little tripe and hominy and the tripe was not even honeycomb tripe. This is a family favorite. We drive 20-30 minutes just to come and eat here. The service is always great, even if the place is busy. The food is always amazing no matter what you get. I ordered flautas with shredded beef and the beef was way overcooked, to the point that several strands were hard and crispy. The waitresses were very nice and attentive. I always stop here on my way home from yosemite and get the chicken burrito supreme. very tasty!

We were hungry and passing through this area and brother in law told us about this spot and said they have delicious burritos! We ended up getting carne asada nachos appetizer and a super carne asada burrito dry not sauce on the outside and the meat was sooooo good! It seems to be a family owned restaurant and friendly service and quick! Our food was ready in twenty minutes. I got a picture of the nachos but not the burrito. read more

Food here is decent. There could be a little more flavor/seasoning in most of the dishes I have tried. I usually only stop here for convenience when I want okay Mexican food quickly but not fast food. They also tend to not answer the phone so it's hard to do pick up or Togo orders because they are busy and short staffed. Workers work hard, I'll give them that just not the best or my first choice when it comes to quality Mexican food. read more

Simply the best Mexican food around, beats anything in Manteca. Service is always great. We have never been disappoinyed with the food.
