My husband and I stumbled across this place and were drawn in by the adoptable ambiance and the food is some of the best Mexican I've had in a while. We will definitely be back. Love Love

Very cute place with great food and friendly service. We tried the morisqueta and a torta, both were delicious.

They were also advertising a free margarita for couples with reservations, which we had but our server never asked about it. We were seated quickly, but that was the only quick part of the night. It took over 35 minutes just to get water, and we weren't allowed to order everything at once. The food order took another 15-20 minutes. My partner's camarones arrived first and were warm and delicious, the shrimp sauce was a 9/10. My molcajete arrived later and looked nothing like the one advertised. It was missing items like cheese and chorizo, and the menu doesn't clarify different versions. The sauce was cold and lacked flavor; only the asada stood out. By the time it arrived, my rice and beans were already cold. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the Valentine's crowd, but the food and service were disappointing. I won't be returning I'll be sticking with La Parilla for molcajetes.

We were seated immediately; however, no one came to take our drink order, and we weren't given menus. After sitting there for about 15 minutes waiting, we noticed a heavyset woman who appeared to be the manager standing around talking while we were trying to get someone's attention for menus. About 20 minutes later, a server finally brought us menus. Another 20 minutes passed before we had to flag someone down just to place our order. At that point, we were already frustrated because we had originally planned to eat at the Indian restaurant next door. We even considered leaving after ordering but decided to wait it out. While we were waiting, a large group seated near the door appeared to be having similar issues. They had been waiting a long time for their check, and the same woman we assumed was the manager was arguing with them about their complaints regarding slow service and delays with their food. Watching the interaction made the atmosphere feel even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. Another 25 minutes passed while we waited for our food, even though we had ordered fairly simple items. When we finally flagged down our server to ask about the delay, our food suddenly came out almost immediately afterward. Unfortunately, the nachos were soggy, as if they had been sitting for a while, and the shrimp sautéed in butter was overcooked and rubbery. By that point, we just wanted to leave and avoid any confrontation, especially after seeing how the manager handled the other table's concerns. Trying to get anyone's attention was difficult, even though there were only a few tables occupied. Eventually, I had to walk up to the bar myself to ask for the check. In the end, we barely touched our food and left disappointed. We even stopped at Taco Bell on the way home because we were still hungry. Sadly, this was a very disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a Mother's Day dinner. On top of the poor service, the music was extremely loud so loud that it was difficult to hold a conversation, and it seemed overwhelming for families as well, especially with a baby nearby crying when the volume was turned up even more. Was extremely dissapointed should have gone somewhere else.

The staff was very accommodating and providing a heater since it was just a little Chilly. Our server was very quick and accommodating made great recommendations. I enjoyed my grilled cheese sandwich and soup, but I will admit I kept asking for a bite of my husband's chicken sandwich because it was so good. We also had the deviled eggs, which I highly recommend.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

I don't know where else you can find $2 tacos anymore--and that even includes birria. The birria tacos don't come with consommé, but honestly, they're packed with so much meat in every bite that you don't even miss it. They also have $3 volcanes (kind of like a tostada), which were super tasty, and the $6 margaritas were strong in the best way. Plus, the chips tasted fresh, which always makes a difference. On top of the food, the customer service was amazing--friendly, welcoming, and just overall a great vibe, good music. Street parking was easy to find on a weekday too.
