Our first time to this restaurant. EXCELLENT food - I had a cheeseburger and my wife had a breakfast burrito. Food was cooked to order and everything was fresh. The two young folks working the front were great - very polite and accommodating. I had a chance to have a few words with the owner - extremely nice fellow who knows what he's doing. You can tell he strives for excellence. Said the restaurant has been open for 3 years ..... but you wouldn't know it based on the appearance. Visiting the villages and decided to stop by this local place and have to say we found a gem! From the service to the food, it was top notch. Immediately attended to. The menu has a variety of items to choose from. I decided to try the paisa bowl, empanadas and yucca fries. All super delicious and flavorful! The restaurant itself is super cute and super clean. Went to try this new place. Happy to see some Latin food in the area. Place is really cute and clean. We tried different things, enjoyed everything we eat, however had one BIG disappointment hence the 4 stars. We asked for a coconut lemonade recommended by the cashier, come to find out we were charged $7.50 for what looked like 16oz frozen drink. I'm not going to lie, it was good, but for the price it should be at least double the size!! I informed the cashier and the owner's wife about it my dissatisfaction. Hopefully they will rectify this as we would like to go back. She said thank you for the feedback, but I was hoping to get another lemonade to make it right. read more

What a delight this place is! We had the Patacon burger, tropical bowl, yucca fries, lemonade and a piece of cake. Everything was served hot and fresh, and was well seasoned. Everything is made in house. The lemonade tasted like fresh lemons, just the right amount of tart and sweet. The burger tasted more like a grass fed steak. It was phenomenal. Put between fried plantains - it was unique tasting. I am trying not to put too many superlatives here, but if you want to taste authentic Columbian food made by people who really care, this is the place. Most Villages restaurants are just heating up Sysco frozen food. This was off the hook great. read more

This place is a great find. The place is fairly new, very clean and well designed. It has a great little menu with some homemade flavorful items. For those that don't know Colombian food is not spicy but very packed with great flavor. And this place hits that very well. Me and my wife came in here and it was our first time...as soon as you walk in the door the delicious aroma of the fantastic food they serve here is phenomenal! I had the sweet candela burger burger patty ,cheese salsa criolla, lettuce,sweet plantains a fried egg and an amazing sauce on a potato bun...ummm fantastic!!! My wife had the patacon ropa vieja and she was well pleased ..our sides we had two empanadas with a tasty sauce and I had the yuca fries .. everything here is homemade and fresh which is a win win ! Returned for third time for an early dinner with spouse. She had the vegetarian bowl and a lemonade while I had the Patacon burger again with a side of Yuka fries which were new for me. A little more to the tooth than regular fries, but they were good. I also had a Mango juice. We took home 2 slices of their cakes that were also authentic Colombian and pretty good. RESTAURANT REVIEW: We went to Candelaria for dinner last night and the food was good, but the portions small. Given the hours (M-Sat 8 to 6; Sun 10 to 4), it's definitely more a lunch/breakfast place than a dinner locale. Located off Rte. 301 in Oxford, this Columbian-American eatery has a fast food vibe inside, but the food is terrific if on the expensive side. I had the veggie bowl which contained rice, beans, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and a touch of sour cream. It was very tasty and the ingredients super fresh. Our son had the same thing but with a generous portion of chicken. My husband opted for a burger, with rice and beans on the side. He said the meat was gristly, but otherwise he enjoyed his meal. Overall, I'm not sure the drive and ambiance is worth a second visit for us, but we all agreed we would consider doing DoorDash for lunch because the food is fresh and good. read more

Staff: Very pleasant and quick to greet you as you enter. Food: Both of us had the bowls. It was quite filling and very tasty. Great flavor! Cost: Affordable Authenticity: Quite authentic Ambiance: Very inviting and clean. Staff came by and cleared our empty dishes. Kitchen partially open so one would think that would equate to noisy environment it it was not noisy at all. Great place to stop in for a very tasty meal made fresh. Very nice. REALLY GOOD food. We went for breakfast and may go back for lunch. It was that good. I got the Combinado with bacon and salsa crilloa along with a fresh strawberry banana smoothie with milk.
