This repair shop will quote you a price verbally only and provide you nothing written (illegal), call you in the middle of repairs to tell you someone has destroyed your car worse than you can imagine and they need to do additional repairs, and despite you turning down the offer to do the additional repair, upon arriving to pick up your car , charge you 40% more than the original estimate and then lock up your car in front of your face until you pay the additional 40% extortion. Then the person who gave you the original estimate (and called you to ask you for permission to do an additional $500 in repairs which you unequivocally turned down) will not be there, and his office staff will claim ignorance and show you a written quote he made up after the work was done and that he never provided to you (which of course doesn't have your signature on it because they never provided it in writing and they have no intentions of actually showing you a legitimate written estimate since they employ bait and switch tactics here - so classic and stereotypical). Then the original guy's brother will come out like out of a movie take the keys, drive your car into their garage turn the lights off and lock it up and tell you you're not getting your car back until you pay them 40% more than they quoted you. Oh, and then he'll throw in that you can sue him, call the police, call whoever you want but you're not getting your car back. That's just for the added fun, drama and intimidation factor for my elderly parents I assume. If you want to be held hostage and have your car held hostage literally by people who don't provide written quotes (illegal), increase the price of the repairs by 40% without prior approval (illegal) lie to your face multiple times, and employ intimidation tactics on old people, then this is a great place to come. Impossible that any of these five star reviews can be real. read more

My son's car was hit and Candy Apple was suggested by a person that had used them in the past. We met the owner and estimator and set up a date to bring in the car. They were extremely busy and still came out to say hello and to welcome us. The car was completed and looks brand new. They even detailed the entire body for us. A few things to know, they are not particularly punctual, web site hours said they open at 7am I arrived slightly before 7am and first person arrived around 7:30 am on a Monday morning. There is no key drop. We were told it would be in on Monday out on Friday it was ready the next Thursday. The punctuality didn't bother me, but I know it would tweak some people. Their communication needs a bit of improvement too, we were left chasing them a bit at the end. I am ecstatic about the quality of the repair so I would happily recommend them. read more

Candy Apple must have a contract with city of Boca Raton. They towed our car after an accident and tried to "strong arm" us into keeping it there for reviews. I ran over there to sign a release so that insurance company could transfer the car to a shop that is approved. They wouldn't release the car to the adjuster and gave him the run around. Really? I was doing touch repairs nothing that required body except a couple of dents. The first time they said it was ready there was still tape and paper to protect from over spray on the van and they had missed several areas. This they said was due to turning over the business that day and left their dad in charge, Tommy and his brother the "shop manager" were off. I took it back when they said it was ready it still need touch up and clay bared the shop manager with no apology took it to the back and brought it out in 15 minutes and stated he had done the entire van. read more

I brought my wife Porsche truck to Tommy and have been using him for years. The hood had a bad deep scratch from a animal that jumped up on the hood. Do not go here! They will overprice their quote, bully you if you question what their costs are, and make up false repairs to fix. I brought a car there today because I was close and their sign caught my eye. I needed to get 2 dents and a large scratch fixed on a Toyota Prius. They were nice enough when going over the car to make a quote, until they told me it would cost $2,500 to fix everything. We then went back out to the car and I asked if they could explain how they arrived at their price. The manager (I believe his name was Joe or John) started pointing to places in rapid succession saying "we need to repair here, buff that out, realign this..." When I asked him to slow and specifically tell me what each would cost, I realized he had just pointed at an area that had no damage. I called him out on it and he did not like it. He started to raise his voice and talk over me. He said that I didn't know what I was talking about when I said the quote was a little high. He told me I needed to call my insurance if I couldn't afford it (P.S. I could afford to buy his entire company and have him fired). I explained he should not treat customers this way and he's losing out on my business. I went right next door and they quoted me $1,100 for the repairs I actually needed. This garage had Ferraris, Porsches, and Mercedes all being worked on. A high class garage quoted me a price less than 50% of what Candy Apple Custom said it would cost. They also didn't raise their voice and tell me I didn't know what I was talking about when I asked how they arrived at their cost. Can't believe this place actually does business. Do not go here! They will take every penny they can and most likely cut corners. read more

please if you care about your car, run and don't look back. i entrusted tommy with my 1967 " all original gto" this is an investment vehicle and my baby. this was the arcond time tommy had my gto in to finish the first job they didn't complete so he knew this vehicle is never to be outside in the rain. when i was contacted by my transporter that my vehicle would not start and the engine, trunk and floor boards were flooded. tommy said " you know me i'll make it right " so i have heard nothing from tommy. it cost me $10,000. just run , i have posted pictures on google reviews and other reviews , i hope this helps read more

After having a good experience with CAC a couple of years ago, we returned with a higher end car for some collision damage. We also paid separately to have a bumper redone that had been tapped and cracked a while back. The repairs from the insurance company came out very nice, but the bumper looked lousy and they broke the back up sensor system and denied it. We brought the car to the dealership and they showed us where someone had attempted to GLUE the sensor back together and showed us how it was impossible for it to have been broken in a minor 5 mph collision. The car also locked us out and the key in the door that was just repaired no longer works, so we had to call Pop A Lock, even though we had the key! Avoid this place at all costs!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wish I would have read these reviews first. I went there because it was close to where I live but every single promise made was broken. I was told they could do the paint and some minor mechanical work in 7-10. After they had the car for 3 WEEKS the paint was flawed and needed to be redone and NONE of the mechanical work was done. The young New Yorker guy said he'd take care of it and pay for it by sending the car next door for the mechanical work but then didn't pay for it. He said he'd pay for a rental car and then didn't do it. These guys are crooked and will tell you anything to get your car in the shop and then overcharge and underdeliver. They even told us they fixed the driver window and now it doesn't work again.After a month the car was finally finished after we had to get them to respray parts of the car and sand off the dumb logo that the pinstriper through was a good idea to paint on the rear of the trunk lid. The paint job seems okay now but I would not be surprised to have paid $4000 for an Earl Shibe's $99 paint job and have it start fading and cracking in a year. It does look decent now, but who knows. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. read more

My car was towed here after an accident, somewhat against my will as I was shaken up and not thinking straight, and the tow driver insisted on bringing my car here rather than where I asked him to take it. I guess to some people having an auto body shop give you business cards of their lawyer and back doctor friends and going as far as offering to make my appointments would be considered helpful, and maybe they are being helpful, but I felt uneasy since I'm not someone who just wants to sue everyone especially when there's no reason. The next day when I was thinking straight I thought about it more and I truly felt that I was being taken by a predatory practice from the moment the tow driver hooked my car, and some online reviews about their service cemented that. When I called to inform them my insurance company was arranging to pick up my vehicle and take it elsewhere I went from being their best bud to being addressed in a most icy tone. They weren't rude, or nasty, but the attitude was there. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I should of read reviews before I made the mistake of taking my brand new 2017 Audi Covertible there. I told Tommy my insurance company was Liberty Mutual, but I did not want go through my insurance company , that I wanted to go through Geico which was the insurance from the guy that hit me. I gave him the comfirmation number and the details that I was approved by Geico to fix the car. He said it would take two weeks so I rented a car. A week later he leaves me a message saying that he deceided to go through my insurance company liberty Mutual and they had send a check for payment already..should he start working on the car..... I was so upset nothing was done on the car for a week and he decided to do his own thing instead of going through Geico with all the info I had giving him. I went to pick up car right away for find out a new very nasty Tammy. He had been driving my car for a week!!!!!. My brand new car had dog hair in and out of the car.... I wanted to die!!!!!. I have no pets. the car was very filty there were hairs on top of the car which is black so it showed a lot. When i asked him how dare he be driving my new car he got real mad told his employee to get me out of there and give me the car back.. and I wanted a reason for why he did this to me...he slammed the door on my face.I got scare. As a single woman I just wanted to get out of there. I took pictures, called Liberty Mutual to cancel the check and I took my car to elsewhere . What a nightmare!!! He should have been arrested for lying and using my car for his personal use. read more
