I called Scratch Car on Thursday regarding a broken splash guard under the length of my front bumper on my 2029 Camry. It was dragging on the ground, and my son had to tuck the pieces in fir me to travel. The same thing happened last year and Toyota charged me about $600 parts and labor to replace it. The manager, Fernando, told me to come in for an estimate. I did so the next morning. He asked me to wait, but it took about 5 minutes for him to say they could repair it with zip ties and there would be no charge other than a tip to the repair technician. I had a crushe'd door repair and a front painted . the job was so so. far from perfect. if you look closely u can see the ripples or waves in the door. a dealer would pick this up right away. I let it go. the front painted job had to go back 3 times to get the color to match. so this was my worst repair from them in 15 years of using them. I can't say enough good things about Scratch Car. I brought my beloved 1972 Camaro in to them as I had a damage to the car which I believe may have happened when I brought the car in to an auto repair for work on my carburetor. If the car is not in my own garage, I can't sleep at night. I explained that the car being 50 years old had issues. They listened to me and did as I asked. I also asked that they put it inside when not working on the car and they did. They repaired the lower fender of my car, matched up the paint perfectly and the car was ready in one day! They have also repainted parts of my 2010 Kia and my car looked brand new when I picked it up! This is an AWESOME place. Very Friendly Staff and they did for me EXACTLY what was promised. Before going to them I had visited and also phoned several car painting businesses in Boca and Delray. All of THOSE told me they would not agree to paint just the front bumper, side mirrors and door handles of my 2013 Genesis Coupe. They couldn't be bothered with "a small job". Instead they insisted on quotes to paint my entire car at costs of 4000 to 5000 dollars. My car is otherwise in fine shape and did not need an entire paint job. Scratch Car not only agreed to and performed exactly what I wanted done.....they did a superb job using my exact factory paint code and I was Out-The-Door for around 400 dollars. Let me just start by saying I'm a big dummy. I backed my Fiat into the inside of my garage and was so mad at myself. I was going to touch it up myself but I'm glad I didn't. I stared at the ugliness I had caused for days before deciding to take it in. I found an ad for Scratch Car in Atlantic magazine. They promised fast and friendly service. They will even work on your car at your home or in shop. I was actually excited to bring my car in especially after I read the reviews. I stopped by on a Saturday morning and there was a very nice gentleman in the office to greet me. I showed him the damage and he said he would be right back. He came back and buffed the spot out in less than a minute, and simply said "have a nice weekend!" I was confused and walked over and the scratch had amazingly disappeared. I even tried to tip him and he wouldn't accept it. WOW!!! Talk about customer service. I technically wasn't even a customer just a dummy who thought she broke her car and thought I would be shelling out tons of money to fix the damage. Not the case. I was concerned when I left my car for repair as I saw a women leave after having her rear bumper painted. So much over spray on lower rear and rear lights. I did not say a thing when I left. They did give me a ride home (owners son). I did tell him about my concerns. They called me the next day that my car was ready. I told them please double check that everything is good. I then told them about the car I saw leave there when I was there. They said my car was perfect please pick up. They did pick me up. BTW. I did give the driver a $5 tip both times. When I inspected my car I found a major flaw in the paint. They apologized and told me they only had to buff it out. I paid 1/2 as agreed and was to return. I came back about a week later and after waiting 20 minutes was told they could not buff it out. It needs a complete paint job. Had they inspected the first time none of this would of happened. They accepted the 1/2 payment as paid in full. I have a poor job and will have to go elsewhere for the new paint. The savings about $80. They quoted $490 and I had a price elsewhere for $600 complete. I did not know they were going to charge 7% tax. So the savings was about $78. Big mistake. Nice guys. Never again. I'll just pay the going rate and get it done correct. Sorry I have to write a negative review. But it is what it is. read more
