It was so darn cute and lasted 4 years until he met a humpty-dumpty-demise last week. While my faux Dumbo faux plant has faux passed, Trolley Treats happily carries on! Found on Buena Vista Road (near the entrance) in Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Park they are known for their caramel apples, cake pops and cookies. If you are at the Storytellers statue of Walt & Mickey or at the Carthay Circle Fountain, look across the way to the corner shop and there you'll find Trolley Treats. This is a usual end of the day shop I go into to grab some cute instagrammable and/or delicious treats for the road. I got the cutest Steamboat Mickey Mouse cookie and Mickey Mouse Cake Pops from here. I don't enjoy caramel apples but goodness do I love looking at them here. They do so many cool decorations on them...Jack Skellington caramel apple, Olaf caramel apple, Snow White's poison apple, Oswald caramel apple, Sorcerer Mickey mouse caramel apple and Mike Wazowski caramel apples just to name a few! They're all so cool. They also carry the elusive churro toffee here (overrated in myyyyy opinion! lolz). Also, the dark chocolate covered pineapple here makes you kinda feel healthy. At least at Disney. So many well decorated and cutely themed desserts in here. One of my must stops every California Adventure trip!

The design of the Trolley Treats is themed from a trolley car depot, and vintage Hollywood designs like the decor, and whimsical signage. The store is quite immersive and such a fantastic experience. The ambiance of the store is amazing with a wide range of candy, both classic and Disney themed. The shelves inside the store have packaged sweets from chocolate bars and gummies to lollipops and taffy. Seasonal offerings and limited edition Disney themed confections are offered at Trolley Treats too! You'll want to check the Disneyland's mobile application's for their current hours of operation! One of the highlights of Trolly treats for me is the collection of character inspired goodies. There are Mickey shaped chocolates and cookies as well as candies that are Pixar themed. Many of these treats can be beautifully packaged for souvenirs or gifts. Discounts are accepted at Trolley Treats. The Magic Key Holder Discounts, Disney Vacation Club Discounts and Disney Visa Cardmember Perks can be used. This was one of my first times visiting the store at Disney's California Adventure during my last trip over the Holidays in December. The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

The lines to the register were a bit confusing, but it all worked out in the end. The employees packaged my Toffee Churro (from the display case) into a white gusseted single-serve bag. NT Toffee Churro $8.99 The Toffee Churro was definitely worth the hype! One only needs to break off a piece and savor the rest for later. It is unique and something that I have never seen before. Overall, had a great first experience and look forward to other toffee flavors in the future.
