Baked Banhs have some of the best canelés in town, and sadly, they are closing on June 27th! We are…read moreso sad we didn't get to come visit until quite recently. :( We parked in the nearby parking lot on 4th street. Usually parking here isn't too bad if you're staying for less than an hour and easy to walk over to the dessert shop. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

We took home some of their best bread and it is just great. Their croissants are amazing as are all of their pastries. The place is so clean and cute. The customer service is amazing. They are so nice and will explain all they have. We took some back to our hotel and then went back on our last day just to get bread to take home. The bakery is known its innovation. I have never had their signature heirloom blue-corn masa sourdough. They even have Filipino staples like pandesal and ube-filled cruffins. It is all so good. They are open Thursday through Sunday until all is sold out. You will love this place.

However, there was still a line out the door and the staff were super nice to give out a lot of samples! We tried the rosemary bread and it was absolutely delicious. It was also straight from the oven, so it was still super warm. We went ahead and ordered the tomato cheese croissant and focaccia dolce. They were both amazing! I would think all the bread would taste good, but everyone was recommending the tomato cheese one. It was pretty nice and clean inside! Also, plenty of seating and restrooms in the outside area!

The place itself is really cute, with bar seating and cozy wooden tables. We tried a few things: the Thai Tea & Cookie Flight, Taro Mochi Cookie, Panda Cookie, Thai Breeze, and the Biscoff Coffee Frap. The Thai Tea & Cookie Flight was really fun and unique. The pairings were: -Pocket Thai Tea + Thai ice cream -Lemon Thai Tea + Matcha brownie -Thai Breeze + Chocolate brownie -Bangkok Thai Tea + Thai brownie I never realized there were different types of Thai tea before this visit! They had Phuket Thai Tea and Bangkok Thai Tea, and they actually tasted very different. The Phuket Thai Tea was rich with a strong tea flavor, almost coffee-like. The Bangkok Thai Tea was smoother and milkier, which felt more like the classic Thai tea. My top pick was definitely the Phuket Thai Tea because I loved the bold tea flavor!!! The cookies were super fresh, soft, and chewy, and the drinks like the Lemon Thai Tea and Thai Breeze were really refreshing. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick!

The mochi from the drink had a good texture and the drink was so addictive. I just wish they had actual mochi balls as a topping on the menu. That would be such a great addition to the desserts. The interior of this place had such a cutesy vibe. A lot of different pop mart figures and toys on the walls. Super whimsical feel. The to go bags that they give are also soo adorable! All in all, i love getting my dessert here!

We ordered three things; mint chocolate chip, rose, and milk and cereal. All with a bubble waffle cone. The service was disappointing, the guy who worked there seemed like he didn't care and it was just another job. No life to him and was just rude about asking the code for the bathroom. The mint and chip is basic. Nothing too much about it. My kids like it, so I got it. Average 3/5. The rose ice cream tasted like a rose, it was pretty good and very floral. The disappointing part is I was hoping the ice cream would be shaped like a rose as depicted on the picture. Nope, just a scoop and left it as is. 5/5 for taste and 0/5 for presentation. The milk and cereal one was actually pretty good. Especially with Frosted Flakes in it. It literally taste like cereal. 5/5. I would give it a higher star if the service complimented it and th presentation of the rose ice cream did.
