Although It's a chain restaurant my daughter in law has a gluten intolerance & they offer a gluten free crust so, we had to give Cane Rosso in Sachse Tx. a try. The restaurant was very clean (even the restroom) and comfortable with a small yet relaxing bar inside. Outside seating is covered from the sun with a small artificial grass area for the children to play. The menu has a nice choice of options with many specials. And a separate beverage menu to choose from as well. Our server Madison was great (so was the gentleman that seated us) attentive, upbeat & knowledgeable. We ordered two pies. The CBF on a gluten free crust. The pizza crust had nice texture & the chicken had a nice smoky taste but, overall a little dry. Definitely needed more smoked mozzarella & farmhouse toppings. I had the straight fire pizza & it was good but, I would prefer for the topping to be a bit more done. The toppings (especially the jalapeños) were still pretty fresh, barely cooked & because the crust is so thin, if you fire it too hot, the pie becomes well done and the toppings are undercooked. Love me a good Cane Rosso date night! Especially with some excellent service by our server, Jordan. We had previously attempted to come through right around opening time (or maybe too late on a weekend - we forget, haha) and it was packed, and we were unable to get a table. So it was nice to finally visit this location and eat! Always rave about the delicious pizza, especially the style, and super thrilled being able to substitute vegan cheese (though not by choice just a dairy allergy, lol). We went here to have an early dinner and lucked into their happy hour. It wasn't busy at all. Their margarita pizza is only $10 before 6 and it's a regular size! Apps are $2 off during happy hour too. We had the spinach dip and it was delicious. The pizza is so good. We loved the crust. It's thin and really soft. It is brick fired so it gets a few black spots but I didn't mind a bit. We will definitely go back when we're in the area. read more

Our first time here, the service was attentive and good, except that our appetizers and pizza were brought out lukewarm. The bartender was also attending to tables, she was amazing and did her best, but would have been nice if a food runner or someone from kitchen would have brought food out hot, it probably sat there until she got a chance to bring it out l, so no fault to her. I had absolutely no energy left after a long wedding weekend and the customer service desk at the Aloft-Downtown Dallas recommended Cane Rosso as the best pizza spot nearby. Ordered fried artichoke, that came with a spicy aioli, I love artichokes and these were awesome they also had a lingering taste of lemon. The meatballs were recommended but just needed one, you could taste the garlic and basil and the extra marinara became the dipping sauce for the pizza crust. The pizzas are build your own, we added truffle and made it spicy! It was delicious the dough was airy and the truffle was very aromatic. Highly recommend! Cane Rosso has been on my list to try for quite some time. The Sachse location was busy on a Saturday evening at 8 PM! We sat on the patio since the sun went down and they had a bunch of fans outside to keep things cool. Even at 8 PM, there was a 15 minute wait for a table inside. The service was good! Our waitress checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were doing well. Food: The honey bastard pizza was great! I loved the wood fired smokiness and how thin the pizza was! Wow great food, great variety, and great service by Madi and trainee PJ! This place has a fun atmosphere to start with and a lot of menu choices from salad to pizza and pasta. House cocktails and mocktails too. And some brunch choices on the weekend we will need to try! They have a pizza of the month and seasonal pasta dishes and cocktails as well, so always something new to try. We tried the fried artichokes with calabrian chili aioli- hubby hates artichokes but LOVED these. Also had the crispy brussels sprouts appetizer with sweety drop peppers, balsamic, crispy prosciutto and ricotta.... so delicious. We split a house salad and the eponymous Cane Rossi pizza, half of which we had to take home after all the appetizers and salad. All were tasty! This is neapolitan pizza so think very thin crust, the kind you fold. We are huge fans of this kind of pizza after trying it in Italy so we were happy to find a place close to home to enjoy it. Let me start by saying: Dallas pizza is NOT better than New York pizza. Buuuuut... Canne Rosso isn't trying to be NY pizza. It is confidently in a league of its own -- and it is the one pizza in Dallas that genuinely makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The Honey Bastard is straight up illegal in at least seven states. A little kick, a little sweet, perfectly balanced flavors on a legit wood-fired crust. My taste buds gave it a standing ovation. Now let's talk about the service -- because this place is secretly a masterclass in hospitality. Our main server was the new Gavin (not to be confused with the legendary Original Gavin, aka OG Gavin). New Gavin was fantastic -- he knew the menu inside and out and greeted my family like we were long-lost cousins finally reuniting. Then the manager jumped in to help with service, sleeves rolled up, working right alongside the team. As someone who lives in the corporate world, seeing a leader jump into the trenches always makes the experience better. The whole place felt calm, in sync, and genuinely happy. Just as we were paying the bill, Jordan slid in and struck up a great conversation that somehow turned into a deep discussion about Jet's Pizza -- which we all unanimously agreed is the second-best pizza in Dallas... right after Canne Rosso. Important life debates only. For dessert, we ordered the Ladybird, which had flavors doing full Olympic-level gymnastics in my mouth. And then... cue the dramatic entrance... OG Gavin himself appears and casually drops this life-altering advice: Next time, ask for the "Dirty Ladybird." They'll add marshmallows. Now I'm diabetic... but OG Gavin looked me dead in the eye like, "Yeah, he's healthy. He can handle more sugar." Thanks, OG. I'll be blaming you -- joyfully -- on my next visit. The pizza is just sloppy here compared to the other times we've had it at other locations. Way bigger inside than it looks from the big parking lot, and outdoor tables al fresco or shaded, your call. This is my 3rd Cane Rosso location to experience, and the staff here is very helpful & pleasant. I was taking my order of 3 meatballs & spaghetti,with marinara sauce to go, but was given great hospitality. The sturdy plastic container has a secure lid, which is clear to see thru. While obviously it's new and busy, I made an order and paid online and was given an estimate time. My pizza was ready and hot at that exact time. We came during opening week at 9pm and the place was packed! We had a little bit of a rough start because we were left waiting at our table with no server but we eventually got service and chalked it up to it being their first week. I would come back for the Brussels Sprouts alone. Sounded weird that they came with ricotta but somehow it worked. Meatballs were also amazing. Will definitely get those apps again. We shared the Cane Rosso I think? And the Mustang pizza. Both were delicious. Only complaint is that the crust was a little floppy, however, our pizzas also had a lot of toppings. We want to come back and try some other pizzas to get a better read on the crust. Also their alcoholic drink menu looks incredible - want to come back for some of those. I have been to this location three times hoping it would get better but it hasn't. The crust is way under cooked and doughy and has been all three times we have went on both pizzas. The service needs improvement because they appear to be under staffed on cooks, servers and bar tenders. The ambiance is as expected with any Cane Rosso's location so there are no complaints on that. If I could give this place no stars I would. Everyone I have spoken to that has went to this location have said the exact same thing and they won't ever go back. First time eating at this establishment. The restaurant was pretty spacious and clean, with good service from the hostess and our server. I heard that this month's special was the chicken tikka masala, which is what I was excited to try. Pizza fell short from what I was expecting. The flavor was good, but the bottom of the pizza was burnt and had a lot of flour so I tasted burnt dough initially with each bite. Pizza was also very flimsy. I've had thin pizza slices before, but this was on another level. It felt like the toppings were on a sheet of paper..very underwhelming. We did not have to ask for anything a single time bc he had already remembered or thought of what else our family would need.
