Pizza much better than previously. Came hot, crisp crust and gooey cheese. Sauce somewhat flavorless. Tiramisu came frozen solid. Thought it was stale when I saw the broken pieces, but it has ice crystals on top. Inedible now and will be grossly soggy when it thaws. read more

This is our 3rd visit to Caprisi in three weeks . Once we learned it is now owned and managed by one of our favorite restaurateurs, we couldn't get here fast enough. The marinara and meat sauce are perfect. Calzone is delicious. Having the Italian salad now -- YUM! We haven't tried pizzas yet, but they look scrumptious. This used to be our go-to, but since new management is in place, our last three pizza orders were terrible. Sloppily made. Super greasy from the cheese that had apparently separated which soaked the crust and destroyed the pies. Sorry Caprisi's our old friend. That was the last straw. Okay, so really this should be a 3.5 if possible. The pizza is good but not a WOW! Fresh toppings and good cheese. The dough flavor is what brought it down a notch for me. This was our first time trying Caprissi's, we give it a 4/5 stars. We ordered through Uber eats. We customized a large white pizza. I thought the pizza was a white sauce pizza, however it's just mozzarella, no sauce. A little disappointed because I wanted a white sauce pizza, but this was my first time ordering so I didn't know. Either way, we loved the pizza and would choose this over any chain pizza place. We also ordered a ravioli with pink sauce and a fettuccine Alfredo. The ravioli was SO GOOD, however there was literally only 5 pieces of ravioli. The fettuccine Alfredo is a little bland, needs more flavor. The pastas came with a garlic bread, they were just okay. I will definitely be trying this place again, I want to see how the marinara sauce tastes. And next time I will also order the ravioli instead of the fettuccine Alfredo. I frequent the nail salon and dentist next door to them so I have purchased from Caprissi Pizza within the past 4-5 years. I have also ordered delivery from them. Yesterday March,11,2024 I placed an order for a spinach and pepperoni calzone along with the spaghetti and meatballs. All of the food arrived hot and delicious. I could only eat a little however today I ate my leftovers and the meal was just as delicious and even better. ( That is very hard to say about leftovers) The delivery driver was very polite and professional. I was too busy eating to snap photos next time I will. read more

Ten year update...we still order about once a month. My oldest loves their chicken parmesan and my youngest likes the cheese pizza. I rotate between the sausage rustica and lasagna mainly. Also a big fan of the ala carte meatballs to go with pasta dishes for extra protein and cheese garlic bread (even though you get good free garlic rolls with pasta entree I give those to my boys). Quality can be slightly varying from visit to visit but the food overall is never negative enough to complain about. I have had a few pizzas delivered from here and they were all delicious. My favorite is to order the veggie pizza and add Italian sausage and jalapenos. Mmmmm. I also like the meat lovers' pizza. And there is a spicy chicken pasta dish that is superb. Here is a tip though- I love crispy crust so I place a few slices on the rotating elevated rack in my micro-convection oven and heat at 350 for 5 to 7 minutes. it allows the heat to circulate under the pizza and crisp up the crust nicely. This place is more for take-outs than for dine-ins. We, however, decided to dine-in and try their pastas. I wouldn't recommend dine-in since it is a small restaurant with little seating and the bathrooms are inside the kitchen. We ordered a salad, spaghetti with Italian sausage, and a Chicken Florentine. Garlic rolls are complimentary but nothing special. The salad was delicious and I loved the dressing. The spaghetti was good because of the Italian sausage or it would've been slightly bland/boring (get the Italian sausage). The chicken Florentine was a disappointment because the chicken was too dry. We haven't tried the pizzas but all the take-out orders were pizzas so next time we stop by we will definitely have to try it. read more

This is what I might call a hidden gem. Came to get my car fixed and stumbled on this joint and they didn't disappoint. Also, given that the owner is from the east coast, he definitely knew how to make some mean hot subs. Ordered eggplant parm sandwich and oh boy...crispy (not soggy like other places) and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I am definitely coming back here especially since it's not too far from my place and for those who are in or near Richardson and Garland, I suggest you try this place out.
