The new staff and Doctors are a example of Dr. Taylors care. He did not just turn over his practice he made sure the future of ROCKWALL COUNTY VETERINARY CLINIC would keep the level of care he had built. I have only good things to say about all the staff and the Doctors who have attended to my Bouvier's. Recently I lost number 3 due to cancer. The care and compassion of everyone there was heart warming and so appreciated. Now on Bouvier number 4 and will only bring him here for the very best of care. Terrible...completely incompetent. We gave them multiple…read morechances since all the reviews are great... 1) Entered dogs name incorrectly - they spelled it as BISQUIT. We informed them it was spelled wrong and they 'corrected' it as BISKIT... 2) We brought a sample in containing a worm and asked them to look at it. They called back and informed us that the sample tested negative. We were confused and asked for clarification on what exactly was tested? They said they didn't find anything. We reiterated that we brought in a sample containing a worm so how would there not be anything found when a worm was in the sample? They said they would go check again, and called back and said 'yepp there's a worm and 3 parasites'... 3) Called and they were confused because there were two dogs with the same first name and last name but spelled differently. We informed them that yes, that was your staff that incorrectly spelled her name TWICE so they ended up making two separate accounts which lead to confusion on their end anytime we called... 3) Fast forward about 6 months later, we received email reminders for her checkup. We called to make an appt and was told there was no record for a Biscuit in their system.... so how are we receiving emails? We have been there 4 times how are there no records? Receptionist got extremely rude and kept asking 'are you sure this is the right vet?' after we informed her for the 3rd time this was the correct vet, we have been there multiple times, and you are the one sending us emails. We told her either name it could be under and she continued to tell us there was no record but that someone with our dog's name did have the same last name, but a different first name... the spouses name was also the same name we had given them...the same phone numbers and the same emails....but you couldn't 'find it' and had 'no record?'.... 4) Told them we are done with this vet and their incompetence, and asked them to send over her records which we still have yet to receive.

***update: The owners did call me and addressed my concerns and said they would implement a system…read moreto which pets are looked at a bit more closely in the future to prevent something like this from occurring in the future. I believe if this is change is made that this location would be a good place to go. Also leaving the original post so this update actually makes sense*** I took my dog to this place over christmas this year and when I picked her up she was covered head to tail in a very serious staff infection. I am not sure where she picked her up and there was no way to be certain, but what I can say is that there is no way that they could have over looked this. If they had contacted me we might have been able to start meds sooner. When I took her to the vet I was getting asked questions to help streamline her treatment, but when I called they would only keep telling me that the manager was in a meeting and would call me as soon as possible. This is the excuse I got the next day too. So far the manager hasn't called me. Edit: To be clear (in response to Brian) I don't think it was caused by the stay there, but it did get significantly worse to the point that it would be impossible to not notice it. The only way it could happen is if nobody spent a lot of time with her, which was a service that I did pay for.

The vet doesn't seem to understand how bad her situation is. He keeps giving me false hope and charging me for visits and over 5 different medications. I took her in because I know she is dying and she is in pain. He, yet once again, gave me 3 more medications and she is still dying. He is just taking my money when my baby is dying! I ordered one more med that I had to pay for in advance and have yet to be told it is ready to pick up and it's been 3 days, I call daily only to be told it isn't in yet!!! This Veterinary Clinic is the worst and ONLY WANTS TO CHARGE YOU MORE AND MORE!!!!

He's been coming for the past two years and we've had nothing but great experiences. The staff know him, he always comes home bathed and well cared for. I pay the extra for the boarding bath but it's worth it and I love having him back healthy and clean. I wasn't prompted or incentivized to review I've just been taking him for so long and realized I know longer have any anxiety about dropping him off so this is my way of saying thanks! The staff is friendly and good with pets, but our dog has gotten a respiratory infection twice after boarding here, and to add insult to injury, a terrible case of fleas. There is a bad smell in the lobby, which makes me worry they aren't properly disinfecting the space. We won't be returning and hope to inform others about the risks of boarding here. We spent almost $1000 trying to cure our dog's infections, one of which nearly killed her. Please read the rest of the reviews and realize this is not just a one-off bad experience.
