Getting signed up was incredibly easy and you can tell they love animals. When I went to pick him up I have never seen him so happy he didn't want to leave. Hands down the best daycare. The playgroups and enrichments are so lovely! Mae has a ton of energy, so the fact that she gets to stimulate her brain and play with other dogs while working on her skills while I'm at work/school is phenomenal. I love the little mini-report cards with these photos and gifs to show me what she's working towards. Honestly I had no idea she was so capable! And the huge smile on her face, she's having such a ball here making new friends. This girl has so much energy, shes small, but we've even ran a half marathon together and she was fine after. But after a day at sniff she's zonked for the day. Every time I'm back in town I take her to a P.E. if they're not fully booked. I've only had to go to Beaverton once since they have a bigger facility, I just recently moved to Seattle and there is no place like Sniff. read more

I came here for the self service dog wash. There are two pro- tub set ups for self wash. I've used this place twice. I prefer the self dog wash because my dog would rather have me wash her than a stranger (I tried that, she was not happy!) I tend to end up there in the afternoon when everyone is picking up their dogs from daycare. It's cute! The store is well stocked with quality dog food and treats as well as fun toys. I'm considering enrolling my dog in doggy daycare so that she will socialize better with other dogs. This would be the place. I've not been to the Beaverton location. Nasty! I don't know what they did to my lovable, goofy Bernese Mountain Dog puppy (10mo), but when I picked him up from his 2hr evaluation appointment, he was cowering, and the man told me that he was terrified and 'failed.' I just wish I'd pulled up their web cams so that I could've seen what they were doing to him - assuming that it would be visible. He was *beside himself* when they brought him out. Poor baby! Worse yet, within just a couple of days of bringing him home, he developed a cough which progressed and got much worse. I had to take him to the vet who said that he had contracted bronchitis or a severe case of kennel cough--despite my dog being completely vaccinated including his Bordetella. I originally was happy with the service at sniff. But after three back to back incidents, one being rough play where my dog was bit near his eye, and two other fights that were blamed on my dog resulting in my dog being banned I have alot of suspicion on the actual care. For backstory my dog is very mellow indoors, mostly likes to lounge. He does love to run and play with other dogs gis size or PREFERABLY smaller. All things I mentioned to sniff prior to his consultation. After his consultation he was admitted I only see him on camera with larger dogs. I dont suspect anything of it because I assume that the trainers have it under control. My dog has never in the five years Ive had him attacked or been aggressive. I do Rover and my dog is well socialized and has never had any incidences until sniff. When I was told about his last experience which was a fight that broke out and my dog was blamed I asked to see footage since I am not accustomed to this new trait he seems to have developed . They said its against policy to show footage which seems a little unethical when anincident happened under their care I think its only right to show the owner what happened. Its like dropping your child off at daycare and not seeing footage of an incident. Their story of what i was left over voicemail also did not match what was said over the phon. they said my dog was following this dog for awhile then attacked. I asked of he was for some reason way too interested in a dog why not pull him for a moment and then they switched it to he randomly attacked unprovoked. Again this IS NOT a trait my dog has ever ever displayed so I asked to see footage so I can be aware of his behaivior moving forward. Again they refused which leads me to believe something happened on their end that was not up to code and they want to hide it. In addition i witnessed one of the trainers shove my dog out of the way when he came to get some pets in the dog park from the trainer who was giving all their attention to one dog for about thirty minuet. very disappointed read more

We've been bringing Tobi to Sniff for almost 4 years now starting with Nursery school. Since then, our pup has been in and out of playgroups and the staff is familiar with her and she's always excited to see them. I always get anxious before leaving Tobi for overnight stays, but we're always greeted with a familiar face and the comfort of knowing our dog will be well taken care of. For our pup's last stay, we were able to book a suite with a webcam which we loved and made the stay away from our pup much easier. We thank the whole staff at Sniff for their patience, kindness and amazing care they take to watch after our fur child! read more

I took my dog in for his $25 playgroup consultation and left him there for daycare. I watched him on the webcam. I have never seen a group of dogs so bored in their life. Their attendant was a teenager constantly never looking up from his phone. Are they told to ignore the dogs so we have to pay extra to get them personalized attention? $45 a day is the same as an overnight fee at many places. The afternoon attendant nervously paced back and forth as if she was...getting her steps in..while also ignoring the dogs but being freakin' weird. I wanted to ask the front desk about if this was normal behavior of the staff but I panicked as I am not used to...complaining to well meaning workers...and just took my dog and left. I think my dog was way more stressed sitting in this weird uncomfortable environment than at home alone for ten hours. Go check out the webcam for yourself, maybe I just went on an off day. This review is long overdue. Since I received an email to purchase a package before the rate increase, I wanted to give my experience from the last time I purchased a package before their rates increased. I purchased both half and full day packages. Yes this was last year. Once I purchased those packages, the rules changed as 1/2 days were only 4 hours rather than 5 hours and the hours were limited to either 8am-12pm or 12-4pm. Had I known that they were going to change the rules, I wouldn't have purchased the packages. Furthermore, when I went to explain this to the receptionist, they offered a refund of the entire package but charging me the full price for that day rather than deducting off the package already purchased. There are plenty of doggy daycares in the area. This place is not that special. read more

Sniff Dog Hotel is a god send! Especially the nursery school. Angie and her team are amazing with the puppies and early stages training. Each day the puppy comes home with a report card to help the parents stay in sync with training and goals. It is so helpful to have a team training with you. Our Corgi, BeBe, LOVES going to Sniff. Everyone there is passionate about dogs. They happily cater to each dog's needs and personality. They also have a fantastic groomer and self service washing station. I take my dog here for daycare and it is great. So when I was going to be heading out of town I looked into boarding him here. If you are going to board make sure you ask what the schedule will be for your dog because it has changed. They now leave your dog in the kennel from 2:00pm-8:00am with only a potty break at 6:00pm. They do not even feed the dogs until 6:00pm so no potty break after meal time. And 18 hours in a room alone doesn't seem great. Why pay $65-$100/night for them to only have 4 hours of attention? The rooms are great, but not worth it to have your dog cooped up for 18 hours! I was told the schedule would be: 8-10am: play in the park 10-12: in his room 12-2pm: play in the park 2pm-8:00am: in his room potty break at 6:00pm Dinner at 6:30pm Breakfast at 8:00am and then back to the park to play. ***UPDATE with message from manager*** I was private messaged by the manager stating I was given the wrong schedule. Below is the one provided from her. Please note that the dog will still be alone in their room for 15-18 hours (with two 5-minute potty breaks). The shortest amount of time the dog would be alone is 15 hours and that is only IF they are in playgroup A and IF you pay the extra money to have a 1:1 session. Schedule according to Manager Brittany: A.M. Meals/Meds 5am-7am (times can change depending on owner's specific instructions and medications) A.M. First off, my dog Ezra absolutely loves coming to daycare here. He has separation anxiety and is overall a very nervous dog, but as soon as he sees the building and realizes where he is going, you can see how excited he gets. There was a little bit of a mishap that happened yesterday, and I could see how genuinely concerned the staff was. Mistakes totally happen. With great hesitation, we boarded our dog here for a weekend while we went out of town. Our pup is a little anxious and so we booked her in a junior suite. They did a playgroup intro the 1st day of her stay and the voicemail they left us was a little concerning. All they really told us was that she was very anxious when they brought her in the room to meet the other dogs... Well.. YEAH.. shes the only dog at home and you are bringing her in to meet a group of dogs for the first time. I'd be anxious too. There werent many details on how they introduced the dogs or for how long they worked with her. We also didn't get any information on where she was taken for potty breaks. Was she stuck inside for 4 days? Another part of my review is based off what Ive seen living in the apartments directly behind Sniff. From my window I am able to see the rooftop walk area. The employees are ALWAYS ON THEIR PHONES. Literally not paying attention to the dogs at all. One day we ended up yelling out our window to get off your phone and the person quickly put it away and nervously looked around to see who said it. People are trusting their fur-child with these people and they can't even stay off their phones for a 10 min walk on the roof. -- Which is not a nice rooftop by any means! Update: After a vet visit, it seems Fred has developed an infection in the area. While it's easy to speculate, the vet presumes it could be from Fred lying in his own urine. ---------- I just picked up my dog Fred from 5 days with Sniff with more angry red rashes on his groin area than I can count. He did not show up with these rashes, and to not have been told about this when picking him up or any of the days I called means he must not have been monitored very carefully-which is concerning, because I dropped Fred off after he had been neutered 17 days prior explicitly asking that his incision be monitored. There is no way these rashes wouldn't have been noticed if there was the purported attention being given to him. The facilities at Sniff are impressive-it's fairly new, and looks different from other boarding places that don't look very different from a kennel. But with a place like this where people keep their beloved pets when there is no other option but to board them, it takes more than a fresh coat of paint and good marketing. While their prices are fairly high for non-daycare dogs, that's not at all what I care about here-it's the fact that I trusted these people that my dog would be taken care of and be kept healthy and happy, and I just don't think that happened here. read more

Going to go ahead and rescind my previous review. The experience I had today at Sniff was awful. I planned to bring my dogs by for doggy daycare today and so walked my dogs down on the way to work. I was turned away after being told I had to make a reservation for daycare. What's weird is that I checked the website last night and it clearly said that drop ins are welcome! So that's a problem but you know what's a huge problem? The super rude customer service I got along with this! I remarked that if they were going to change their policy they should probably let people know, as now I was going to be late for work because I'd have to find other arrangements for my dogs. The woman at the counter just shrugged and said that this is suuuuch a popular location, I should know better. Um ok this is the second time I've been here, so no I would not know better. Also, I have never had to make a reservation for daycare at any other place so really how would I know? I didn't even get an apology for being inconvenienced! How about I send you all an invoice for damages I've sustained as a result of my reliance on your websites information? What bs, did I not look like I had enough money to give your business patronage or to even deserve a little freakin courtesy? My fiancée and I went on a trip for a week and had to keep our dogs in Portland. This was the first time we had to board them anywhere and we were extremely nervous about the process. Our dogs, like with everyone else, mean the world to us and we treasure their safety and happiness above anything else. We did our thorough research and visits until we came along Sniff. When we first toured the hotel, we were impressed immediately by how well maintained it was and how knowledgable and kind the staff were. They were patient and helpful in answering all of our questions (which were a lot!) Ultimately, we decided to go with them to keep our dogs safe and happy. We fortunately made the right and perfect decision! We signed up to get a daily "pupdate" in which they send you a daily email of how your dog's day was along with a picture of them. It gave us such a peace of mind and we were also able to peak into their webcam that they have running every day to see our dogs having a great time. It was honestly such a relaxing experience knowing our dogs were in great hands. We will definitely be going to Sniff for our dogs for any future trips we go on. They are simply one of the best dog hotels in Portland and you can rest easy knowing your pups are in the best of hands while you are away. read more

We needed a safe and caring spot to board our rescue dog Sally, a 75lb Boxer who can be nervous around other dogs and is a lot to handle on a leash. We weren't feeling comfortable asking friends to handle her or having someone stay in our home and anxiously but excitedly gave Sniff a try for Sally's first stay without us, for 3 nights. Sniff was AMAZING. Their customer care is excellent. They do the most with what they have to work with -- in our case, a very anxious big dog who had never been away from us before! When we went to pick Sally up, she was bright-eyed, same weight as before, and honestly just the same as when we dropped her off. Sally even doubled back to give her favorite person there an extra goodbye before walking out the door with us. That's how you know she got all the snuggles the staff could fit in! We already booked Sniff for another stay for 10 whole nights, and they are being fantastic about meeting our needs for pick-up time when our flight lands. Wow! Where do I even begin with this company. I planned a last minute trip out of town and needed a place to board my Yorkie right away for two nights. I filled out the form online and submitted my proper documents. The next morning I was notified that my reserved space was excepted and to come on by and drop him off. The building is adorable and very posh. My baby stayed in the penthouse with the city view. He watched K-9 tv , was walked daily several times, had two cozy cots to lay on and I paid a little extra to have more cuddle time. Normally when I come home he goes crazy but when I picked him up from Sniff he acted like he was okay to stay a few more nights. SHOCKING he has major separation anxiety and I couldn't believe how calm and cool he was when I arrived. Usually it takes me a solid 20 minutes to get him to calm down from screeching with joy and spinning/running around the house. A special shout out to Alyssa ( spelling? ) They were so nice and you can tell they love their job and animals. I called a few times to check in on my little guy and they were always so friendly and made me feel so good about him being there. After a dreadful start to our doggy daycare journey, I can't begin to thank Angie and the other employees at Sniff enough! My 8-month-old Labrador, Theo, just had his first visit today. Sniff had been recommended to me by a good friend, so after being rejected from another doggy daycare, I called to inquire about their socialization training and potentially staying for some daycare. I spoke with the training assistant, the scheduler, and Angie (the head trainer). Everyone here was so attentive and really listened to my concerns. Theo is afraid of masks, and he really doesn't know other dogs besides the other one we have at home. Angie agreed to meet Theo outside the facility, where she began to feed him some treats. He was nervous, and he began to growl and bark some. He has never been aggressive toward anyone who visits or other animals in our home, but he does display fear by barking and growling when we are out and about. Angie suggested we go for a walk around the block together, while she held the leash. During and after the short walk, Theo had already begun to warm up to her. I left him there, and went home. Not even 20 minutes into him being there, Angie called me with an update. Theo was doing well and was in a room with other dogs, and he was showing no signs of aggression, but was mostly avoiding the other animals. I picked him up one and a half hours later, per her recommendation, and she said he would benefit from coming back, as he was starting to play a bit and got the "zoomies." Meanwhile, my fiance was watching him on their cam, and he agreed that Theo finally seemed to relax. I am so thankful to Angie and the other staff members for giving Theo a chance. Do you want to know what happens when your dog is injured at the Sniff Pet Hotel? Read about my real-life experience: I went here with a 9-month old, purebred, giant breed puppy to board him unexpectedly because of a business trip. I thought I was paying for the best - this place costs as much as a human hotel. I even paid for a private room to avoid any possible issues. My dog was there for less than two days and when I picked him up, he had chemical burns all over his lips and testicles. The skin was pink, inflamed, and bleeding. It looked like hamburger. He was in perfect shape when I left him at Sniff. So I took him to the vet, who couldn't believe the severity of the burns for such a short duration. He suggested someone had probably not properly diluted cleaning supplies. The prognosis was probable permanent scarring and discoloration, which would ruin the dog's show and breeding prospects. I immediately called Sniff and complained. Not long afterward, the owner, Corey Murray, contacted me. He apologized profusely and admitted full responsibility, promising he would determine and share the cause (something he never did). He offered to pay for medical treatment and prescriptions. I was livid, but agreed to wait and see if the dog healed, a process which the vet predicted would take at least 3 months. During that time, I had to apply ointments and prescriptions 3 to 6 times daily. I lost probably 100 hours from work at vet's appointments, coming home mid-day to treat the dog, cleaning and dressing wounds. The dog suffered a great deal. It was a horrible, stressful ordeal. Fast forward 3 months, the dog's lips were still a discolored pink, a disqualification for his breed, thereby ruining the investment as a show and stud dog. So, I called Mr. Murray of Sniff to make amends. I asked for the cost of medical bills and the purchase price of the puppy, since he was ruined professionally. Suddenly Mr. Murry rescinded his offer to pay for the medical bills. Then he sent me on a wild goose chase with his liability insurance company. After spending countless hours wasted with the insurer to no end, I told Mr. Murray I intended to evangelize this real-life experience to other consumers here on Yelp. His response was to have his lawyer begin sending me threatening letters, claiming I was running a "smear campaign." The lawyer also reminded me of the fine print we all sign in the Sniff contract. There is an arbitration clause, which means that even if they injure or kill your dog - for any reason - you have no rights in court. For those of you who don't know what an arbitration clause is, a vendor essentially pays a private judge who rules in their favor when such matters arise. That was what happened with the recent Wells Fargo credit-card scam, where people who had been abused had not rights at all. One star isn't low enough for this experience. To Mr. Murry and his lawyer - if you threaten me again or write a ridiculous response to this review, I can promise you I will post the entirety of our correspondence on the internet, which can provide more clarity. I have had mixed experiences with Sniff Groomers. My first experience was ok. The staff were friendly and open to me and my dog. The groomer did an ok job but really didn't listen to what I told her I wanted. I got the impression she felt she was a pro and knew best. The second time iI was told my Golden Doodle was too knotted and would need to be shaved. I understood and asked to not shave him too close and not to shave his face. Well I got a dog with pink skin showing through. I was not happy but I figured maybe he was just too matted and that was the best she could do. Also she left his ears very long and did shave his face between his mustache and his eyes, which left him looking poodle like rather than doodle. This last time was the worst. I made an appointment with them and then evidently didn't put it in the reservation book so when I showed up with my dog they didn't have me down. I was on my way to work and brought my dog with me. What was I suppose to do now? They took him but the groomer said she wouldn't have time to do much. I asked to have his face cut and his feet shaved and to leave the body. Well to make a long story short, they were not helpful about the problem, and the groomer did a rush job and didn't really listen to me and they charged me for a full grooming. So I paid $90.00 to get his face hairs and butt shaved. I didn't make another appointment but I did call to talk to the manager and was told there wasn't one to talk to. I, too, like many of the other reviewers, really wanted to like this place as it is so convenient to my work. There is an unprofessional air about the place and a lack of caring for the customer. We, evidently, are not their first priority as they are not into helping with problem solving when things go wrong. Very nice staff as long as everything goes according to plan. There was a lack of empathy and I felt I was dealing with a person who just wanted to finish up with me and move on. Also, some of the groomers are much more talented than others and I have not been able to choose the groomer I want. read more

I recently relocated to the area, and I found Sniff Dog online for grooming services. They did an incredible job with my corgi, including all of the extra de-shedding, nails, trimming, glands, etc. She looked amazing and smelled so clean and fresh. It was easy to schedule an appointment online and they made the process safe and easy with curbside drop off/ pick up during COVID. Everyone I spoke to in the process was beyond nice, and I intend to bring my corgi girl back to them in the future. Very reasonable pricing for the services/ grooming and highly recommend. read more

Such a disappointment. We waited for 3 weeks to have an evaluation for our Vizsla. I was looking forward to our experience there, and hoping for a good indoor daycare option for our pup. As I talked with the evaluation "expert," she initially came off as rude and condescending. She then took my dog in the back for his evaluation. 20 minutes later she returned and told me that my dog did not pass the evaluation because another aggressive dog got in his face and scared him a bit. She told me because my dog was a little shy after that interaction he didn't pass. Are you kidding me? My dog loves other dogs and plays at dog parks 2-3 times a day. He's a very mild-mannered dog and plays extremely well with all other dogs, and they rejected him? Pretentious is just one of the words I would use to describe this place. Overall this place is a joke and I wouldn't recommend it. Plenty of other good options in Portland where they are little more approachable. read more

The staff is very friendly and professional. They gave my dog lots of attn, picked up med refills @ the vet and even sent me some photos afterward that various staff took during her stay with them. What is the hype with this place?? First of all, there's a waiting list for daycare. Then there's the fact that it's sooo crowded! Too little space, too many dogs! Go to Noah's Arf a few blocks away. They get to know you and your pup there, and there's no waiting list. Plenty of room for your dog to play and get tuckered out. Maybe after the renovations it will be better. But I still don't think I'd feel comfortable bringing my dog back here. It seems like too big and impersonal of an operation. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. I called in on a Friday to ask if my boyfriend could drop off our dog to have his nails done and then I could pick him up when I got off work. The dog would have been there for 3 hours. They told me that if it was longer than 1 hour they would have to charge me the day rate. So instead of his nail clipping costing $14 it would have been WAY over $50! I should have known then what kind of establishment this was going to be... I drive by it everyday after work and I go to the Wells Fargo across the street to make weekly deposits as well. It looks nice from the outside and I had visited their booth at the Doggie Dash this year. But never did i even imagine just how stingy it was going to be. And such a hassle! So Friday didn't work... The lady told me they have walk-in hours from 10 to 2 on Saturday. So, after we hurriedly headed downtown to run another errand Saturday morning I realized that we should have brought the dog. (Duh!) Thus, we turned around and went home and came back with the dog. He is a Basset hound and is extremely loud when he's excited - so we walked along the parking lot beforehand and then went inside. He was still super duper excited (as he's a hound and new smells cause overload!) But, the women behind the counter seemed put off by him. They didn't greet him, they barely looked our way, and there were four of them! I finally went to the counter and told them what I wanted... The lady asked me my name and I told her, to which she couldn't find an account - (Well duh! We haven't ever been there before.) So then she asked if he was current on his vaccines which I replied 'yes.' She told me she would have to call my vet and confirm - which truthfully confused me. They need to check on vaccines to clip my dog's nails? But, I stood there and waited when she called. It took a few minutes (in which I was busy trying to quiet the dog) and then when she was off the phone she informed me that after finding my folder Banfield wasn't able to give her any information whatsoever. As in, they had no info... I'm curious as to how I have a folder with nothing in it??? At no point did she allow me to speak with Banfield, nor did she tell me that this is the case while she was still on the phone. She did tell me however that I could call Banfield and find out what the issue was. I thanked her for her time and left - very embarrassed. :( I'm extremely disappointed that when I called Friday (As it was very evident I was a new customer...) they didn't let me know that this would be an issue. I could have called Banfield and had the information ready for when I walked in. And in case it is not yet clear, I'm a very organized person and like to be on top of things BEFORE they happen. This however, was just a mess all around. I didn't feel that I, nor my pet were warmly greeted. (Wait, isn't this supposed to be a dog hotel??!?) I didn't feel that my needs were in any way met. The lady seemed just shy of smug... I didn't feel that they really cared if they had my business or not as I was only there to spend less than $20! I didn't appreciate driving all the way home to retrieve the dog so I could be dicked around! And suprisingly, I didn't feel like shouting, arguing, or being a bi**h. I heard once that word of mouth is the best advertising tool. I will be sure to let any friends and family know of my terrible experience. Good luck with your joke of a business as I vow never to return & plan to share my story with MANY others. Ooh, and so it's clear... I called Banfield to check my account. They had no problem finding his file and verifying his vaccines. I wonder if she was even on the phone??!! Or maybe they didn't have a tech available... ? I really want to love this place! The happy hour, the small pet store with toys, an amazing pet hotel with "views of the city" (I am not quite requiring this particular degree of service :) but for those that are, it's a cool option!), pet food, treats, and a caring staff. They have a website which hosts video cameras of the dogs playing with each other which makes me feel happy I shelled out some cash to give the little guy a fun day with pals as opposed to sneaking on our bed for an afternoon nap! However, on the other hand, I am not impressed with the urine smell. I learned that they do go through a fairly involved process to sanitize the turf each day and flush it out as well as having a sophisticated air filtration system. Unfortunately, it's hard to concentrate on anything else when you are inside the building, and the dog does come home inheriting that smell for a few days or needing a bath rather immediately. (Full disclaimer: I do have a long-haired Golden, so it may be more intensified for me). In summary, if you take your dog here you can comfortably know they are well cared for and you have the reassurance via the webcam inside the play areas. However, you need to factor in a bath into your end-of-day routine. I called here to see if we could board. way overpriced. and sniff? as a name? would tend to be humorous, BUT in this case? I would say that its the attitude of cost. two dogs? possible 60 dollars for a day? I go to a great dog day care place where I live, and I pay about half that for two dogs. both my dogs are socialized, and love dog day care, and playing with others, which was the idea of boarding, as we have been driving for a week. boarding private room, with no dog play time? isn't what I'm looking for. I decided to stay away from portlands idea of dog day care, as each place I've called in the downtown area? is overpriced, and not worth it. nice idea, but not worth the price. don't care what your offering. great name? but waiting lists? this just reconfirms WHY I moved away from my birthplace. portland really has grown into a pretentious hipster holla. read more

To say that I am extremely disappointed with the Sniff Dog Hotel in Portland would be a massive understatement. Not only were they NOT accommodating but after only 2 visits my once happy and fearless dog started to flinch and scare at EVERYTHING! I couldn't even lift my hand to pet him without him moving away from me. I have never had this experience with any of the other doggie daycare centers that he has attended. I would expect this kind of situation from a lower end daycare, not from such an expensive and supposedly elite facility. read more

Enh. I'm not excited about this place. Allow me to explain. I've had my small, loving, highly socialized dog there to board twice now. Each time, my husband and I are checking in periodically (ok, obsessively) by watching the sky cam. Nothing is going wrong. Everything is kept clean. But my dog is obviously bored. I have never seen her pace so often. Pace. Pace. Pace. Look at the human handler who is usually looking bored as well, pace some more. My dog is young and -very- playful. She never stops. She goes to the dog park at least a couple times a week and never stops there, either. She loves to run and she especially likes to play catch-me-if you-can. I see almost none of this on the sky cam. The room is really small, and the floor does not look grippy and certainly is not soft. This probably explains the lack of chase. Unfortunate. Doesn't endear me. The room for the big dogs has a grippy floor, can't we get that for the little ones? I understand that after hours and hours of being in a room with the same dogs the newness for the dogs is likely to wear off. Isn't this where the handlers fit in? I see some petting and loving by the handler which is nice, and I have no doubt they are dog people, but for real, they're as bored as the dogs. And I really don't blame them. There are no toys for them to use as an interaction tool. I think it would be really helpful if they were allowed to have toys in the room. I asked about this and was told they didn't want to risk toy aggression. OK, I get it, but aren't we being a bit overcautious here? I mean couldn't that be part of the evaluation your dog goes through before they are allowed to play with others? Seems to me the owner doesn't want to risk having to turn away $$ by turning away toy-aggressive dogs, or by having to partition off an area for them to be sans toys. This -really- doesn't endear the place to me. It's funny, after I called, two handlers showed up in the room and started interacting with the small dogs. Unfortunately that is not the norm of what I am seeing and I plan on trying out one of their competitors next time. **EDIT: I really appreciate that the manager took the time to address my concerns here, and the next time we need to board I will definitely come up and discuss play options and give Sniff another shot** read more

Two years after my first review, my little dog and I still love Sniff. He gets semi-regular grooming services, has gone to a couple small-dog playgroups, and been boarded there once. Every visit is a joy; the staff is so friendly and happy to see us, everything is prompt and clean and well-priced, and Bagel is always excited to visit. Thank you, Sniff! read more
