    a pancake and a bagel

It was nice to see this location re-open after being closed for 6 months or so. This deli has changed hands many times over the years, but it's always served solid breakfast food and sandwiches. Now it's back in the hands of the Cannone's who have owned several businesses in the Wilton / Saratoga area in the past (including "Christina's Pizza" in this very plaza.) I stopped in for breakfast and got some large, tasty, piping hot pancakes for five dollars! I also ordered a bagel just to see if they were any good (it wasn't.) One of these days I'm going to learn not to order bagels outside of a bagel shop! Will definitely come back for a sub the next time I'm in the mood. They're still carrying Boar's Head deli products so I'm confident they'll be good. They have an assortment of freshly baked dessert items on hand as well, including cheesecake!

Great food. Subs are huge! Fast service. Real rolls not those processed ones you get from other sub shops.

On this visit, I grabbed a tub of house made fresh mozzarella as well as some Prosciutto de Parma. This was all I needed for the breakfast sandwich I was planning to have. It was spectacular to say the least. This is absolutely the best place to buy all your Italian groceries and more.

I'm not sure if they retained the same staff that was working there before but for me it was still the same experience. I got the thoroughbred half sub. This was a fried chicken cutlet with pesto, onion jam, sun-dried tomatoes and a pickle spear on the side. They do give you a choice of a side of olives or a pickle spear. There are drinks in the cooler, different types of chips to choose from and other sorts of treats and goodies all over the place. Definitely a great spot to stop for lunch! The sub overall was very good, but even with all the toppings, it was a little dry. I added garlic, mayo at home, which most assuredly improved the situation. The only thing I didn't like was the coleslaw. The coleslaw didn't come with it. I bought a small container on the side. It was dry and tasteless. I added mayo and spices at home to make it taste more like coleslaw. Problem my only real complaint. I will be back! And I will be asking for a side of garlic mayo, lol.

This is a tragedy. And that is not a word I use lightly either…read more What kind of person buys a gem like Mrs. London's and doesn't take the time to learn the recipes, master the craft, and maintain the standards of what was once arguably the best boulangerie and patisserie in America? Seriously, there is someone here to blame. What is their name? I want to know. Sure, it's not a civil or criminal offense. But it's a crime against food. It's a crime against the people of Saratoga Springs. And it's just plane offensive. I regret if anyone was driven to try Mrs. London's based on my previous glowing reviews. I am so sorry. I had no idea. But I was just there this morning. I gazed into the pastry case at the croissants, and my heart sank. I felt sick. The croissants looked like something you would see in an airport. I think the croissants at Costco might be better. These were flat, flabby, and pale things. Far from the perfect, golden, flaky, structured, glistening beauties of the past. And this isn't about fond recollections. I have receipts. Photos from the past and pictures of the present. It's night and day. If the new owners aren't going to preserve Mrs. London's food, they should have the decency to put someone else's name on the joint. I too asked about the breads, and was told "their baker retired". Fortunately, Michael London taught other people to bake amazing artisan bread, and his legacy lives on elsewhere. Unfortunately, nobody at the shop bearing his name bothered to pick up the torch. What a shame. It is so sad. I am literally heart broken. This was one of my favorite bakeries in the country. I went out of my way to make a special stop in my limited time passing through the region. But I suppose nothing lasts forever, and this is a valuable reminder of that unfortunate fact. My days visiting Mrs. London's are over. I can no longer recommend it in good conscience. Perhaps the hot chocolate is still good, and the decor is still lovely. However, if you look closely at the glowing reviews, they all point back to a time that has now sadly passed.

This was a 3.5 star experience. Yelp needs to get with the program here. Let's start with the…read moreambience, it's super cute inside! I loved it! Both the pecan pastry and the raspberry cheese danish were great! No complaints! Where this place falls right off the cliff is service. It's cold and rude. No if's ands or but's about it. And after my experience, I went and read all the reviews. This is a thing apparently. And to make it worse, the owner, instead of apologizing with humility and concern to the guests that keep him in business instead writes entitled zero accountability messages back to patrons after leaving bad reviews. Honestly that's immature and short sighted. The good will of the public doesn't last forever. But on the other hand, if you desperately miss the rudeness of Europe then this is truly the place for you!

We for the Royal Roast Beef sandwich on French bread. It had roast beef, mango chutney, blue cheese, sprouts and mayo .It was so good! The sweet chutney with the tangy blue cheese, the crusty bread and fresh perfectly cooked roast beef...sandwich perfection! We also tried several items from the cold bar...it is a help yourself by weight situation. We tried the cole slaw, the sesame noodles, the sesame green beans, the spicy and sweet thai cucumbers, the turkey salad with walnuts and cranberries, the mini meatballs, the curry chicken salad, and the Mediterranean couscous. I know that sounds like a huge of food, but I only took a small portion of each, about 3-4 bites of each item..so it only came to about $12 by weight. The meatballs and the couscous were disappointing...both lacked flavor and were a bit dry. Everything else was excellent... very flavorful, fresh, and a nice selection of options to choose from. The market and bakery have a great selection of gourmet items including a wide variety of chips, many jarred items (sauces, jelly, spreads), a nice selection of pre-packages charcuterie, and an entire cheese room (think temperature and humidity controlled). They have a nice selection of cheeses to choose from. The bakery is full of amazing looking beautiful desserts which didn't try. There are a few tables inside the coffee shop area of the market if you want to eat there. We took our lunch to go and headed to the park in the center of town where there are picnic tables with umbrellas. We sat outside at a picnic table in a beautiful (and surprisingly clean) park and had a fantastic lunch!
