Side note: I wish more Italian delis would do this around here (I love you guys at Dom's in NHP but sitting at Dom's I think would be awesome!) We opted to split a hero which was massive might I add of salami, fresh mozz, roasted peppers with EVOO & balsamic. Both the Italian supreme and deluxe Italian were made with shredded mozzarella, one of the subs was missing balsamic glaze and olive oil while the other was missing half the meats. To our dismay, we also found plastic in the Italian supreme sub in two different bites. When we called to give them the feedback on the plastic, they apologized with no follow up of trying to make it right - offering a refund or coming back to make a new sub correctly would have been the bare minimum for good customer service, but instead we were left feeling dismissed and frustrated after an already disappointing visit. Sure, the bread was good, but it couldn't make up for the poorly made sub. A brand-new place should be going above and beyond to make a strong first impression. Instead, this was a total letdown. Between the slow service, confusion of the staff, and plastic in the sub, it was very disappointing. Opening day or not -- food safety and customer service matter. And they failed on both fronts.

The price was the same so it probably didn't matter much to them, but I still really appreciate it. You'd be surprised how many places simply refuse to make even the smallest accommodations for people with severe allergies, but it's glad to know the staff at Primal care enough to make those accommodations when they can. Overall, this is one of the best spots in the area to get good quality meat, poultry, etc. but what really draws me in are the specialty meats in the back freezer: pork skin, alligator, frogs legs, chicken feet, lamb heart, veal kidney, etc. Organ meat and pork skin especially can be hard to find, but they always seem to have some in stock and the prices are good too. As long as they keep selling meats that I can't find anywhere else and provide good service, I'm going to keep coming back.
