Hi, wanted to share this eye opening experience. Went last week to get 2 gift cards and was told they were out of cards and to come back next Tuesday. I went in tonight, Tuesday, to buy 2 $100 gift cards for Christmas gifts and was told they have been out of gift cards for two weeks and will not have gift cards until January 5th and that I can go online and that I can print a piece of paper with my $100 gift on it...? I explained that this was a Christmas gift and that I would like something other than an 11x13 piece of paper with a dollar amount on it that someone could open as a nice gift. They couldn't help me. (Everyone knows Staples can print such cards in a pinch). I thanked them and said that I would try another local restaurant, the reply was "good luck". Good luck, not apologetic and Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.....just good luck. How sad that the fabric of society has been reduced to this........ I did go to another restaurant down the street and bought the gift certificates from a very gracious bar tender, who I happily tipped and exchanged Christmas greetings. Looking forward to a nice meal and old school charm elsewhere. read more

Met friends for dinner on a Friday night-they were nice/smart to make reservations for 4 of us. I was happy to see how busy the restaurant was-almost every table was full when we arrived. Our server was excellent. The food and drinks were very, very good. The warm focaccia served with oil and balsamic could have been my whole meal....super delicious. Yes, I'm a glutton and ordered a second helping of said bread. Overall, it's a very nice space that definitely gets loud when it's busy. My advice is to not be in a rush and don't go hangry if you're dining during prime times. We did order cocktails/mocktails, appetizers, main dishes AND dessert. Everything took quite a while (except dessert and coffee arrived quickly). We all enjoyed our entrees and thankfully, each other's company. This place was hyped up and unfortunately didn't live up to it. I guess if you're dressed coming from your blue collar job and not business professional they don't really think you have the money to be there. You don't need to be out for a special occasion to order dessert. Food was overly salty and service was given as if we were stretching it thin for a night out. While randomly looking for places to try out on a Friday night up north, I stumbled upon Park and Elm. The menu looked fantastic and it was easy to make a reservation online a few days out. Come hungry! The portion sizes are giant and the flavor is amazing! Our server was super attentive to us and was on top of getting what we needed/asked for. While it did take a bit longer than normal for our entrees to come out, it was worth the wait! The lamb shank fell right off the bone, no knife required. The steak was cooked to the requested temperature and had great flavor. And they were great at accommodating a side substitute on the NY Strip dish. Then dessert. The German Chocolate Cake was phenomenal! So moist and the frosting was just the right amount and not overly sweet! It's definitely a place I'd recommend and can't wait to go back to! read more

Service was top notch. A+ Food tasted great and presentation was flawless. Flavors were spot on. We had the bbq bacon wrapped scallops, a special and not pictured, and that was the only plate that I didn't think was cooked great. Needed more sear on the scallops, but overall great flavor and the corn ragu was bomb. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend and will return. Staff was great. We arrived with no reservations and hostess said sorry they were full, however we sat at the bar. Strange, there was several tables our entire stay that remained empty. read more

What an amazing experience. We will definitely be back! We sat at the bar to eat and the bartenders were amazing. Fresh rosemary focaccia started the meal, we got the mussels & frites, and the rigatoni alla vodka. The mussel broth was soooo good. Also everything was reasonably price. I stopped in for a late lunch of a breakfast wrap, Saratoga water, and a cookie. The wrap was pretty good but not outstanding. It was quite drippy so I'm glad I wasn't dressed up and endangering good clothes. The cookie was dry and bland but edible. The surroundings and staff were pleasant. My experience was average. I would consider going back to try again when I'm in the area, but I won't go out of my way. Two concerns: Being a new visitor to the neighborhood, I wasn't sure about parking. I saw a lot and a garage but didn't know if they're public or reserved. This may be a result of my poor skills of observation. Also, I agree with another reviewer that the prices may be a little high, which may just be a sign of these inflationary times. read more

Brand new spot in Downtown Glens Falls directly next to the hospital- High end bar and restaurant with a price point to match along with a prepared food/deli/produce section attached, and as you would expect also high end as the items in this deli are curated and pricey. Pricey is fine if you get what you pay for- and you do at this establishment. This is quite a place! The specialty cocktail menu is extensive- OMG try the Bourbon Creamsicle is Christmas in a glass- unbelievable. I asked for a Ward Eight (not on the menu) and the bartender whipped it up without a question. This is the new spot in GF for cocktails- (not that there really was before...) We did not order dinner but did get an app at the bar that was delish- people around us were also eating at the bar and were literally licking tha plates! I will not pass any further judgement on the food at this time- of course that would not be fair! But me and my trusted companion will return for a full meal and amended my review- Cheers! read more

We dined on the restaurant side for the first time and rated it an 8/10. However, our recent experience on the market side was disappointing. We placed our order, and the staff began preparing it right away. Then, a customer arrived with a catering order, and the associate who was slicing my prosciutto left to handle this new request, leaving my prosciutto unattended on the slicer. After waiting for 15 minutes, I asked to speak with a manager. When he arrived, he listened to my concerns and agreed that the situation was unacceptable. He offered to finish slicing the prosciutto, but by then, I had already told the associate that I no longer wanted the shredded prosciutto. I just wanted to bring the disorganization at the market's front end to his attention. The manager removed the potato salad off our bill which we didn't ask for but was very nice of him to do. read more

AWFUL! I feel terrible writing anything negative but the overall restaurant experience just sucked. The food was terribly expensive and tasted awful. Our meat was over cooked and food size was very small. The waiter was kind, that's the only reason I'm giving it one star. However, we did have to wait about 50 minutes for our entrees. By the time the dessert menu came around we were starving but not interested. Would not ever try again, very disappointing. read more

The market is the bomb! Sandwiches are great. Everything is quality, fairly priced, and they have few items stocked that are hard to find in glens falls - quality imported cured meats, etc. Focaccia is awesome! NY strip steaks were great - I smoked them and reverse seared them in duck fat until med rare paired with a bearnaise, the quality of the prime meat was noticeably better prime steaks I've gotten elsewhere. Pork chops are great too - I brined them, pan seared, and basted them in butter, garlic, herbs - best pork chops I've had in awhile. I wish they sold imported Italian and French wines, then they've have everything I'd need to make a quality meal. read more

Opened for a year now, snuggled at 19 Park Street in Downtown Glens Falls this unique eatery design shouts... big city urbanism is here. I heard good reports about P&E from people at Glens Falls Hospital and when I finally decided to try it out for a breakfast sandwich WOW! Yeah, I know a breakfast sandwich. I ordered THE CLASSIC and it was just that...simple, fresh, delicious. I was also greeted with an authentic good morning and I asked one question about the place, and accepted a full tour. I am definitely going back to try lunch sandwiches and to purchase some Deli meats and imported products. I'd suggest not to wait like I did but when looking for something new and delicious check it out...my palate was satisfied and interest in tasting more on my menu. read more

Ordered a few sandwiches from the market -- the Classic Egg Sandwich w/ Bacon, and The Italian on Focaccia. While the egg sandwich was great, the Italian was wonderful; both breads are made in house and it was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've eaten since moving out of NYC 2 years ago. Also, breakfast sandwiches are served all day! Great for those late risers (ahem) The market has a bunch of local and specialty product -- stuff that is generally hard to find in the area. We love the market, deli & coffee bar. The coffee served is fresh, hot and brewed to appropriate strength. I believe the coffee is from Kru coffee. Their fresh cinnamon rolls and peach cobbler muffins are delicious. The market carries a variety of local products (cheese, dairy, meat, maple syrup, aoili & fresh vegetables). In addition, the store has a selection of unique and interesting imported products like dried pasta, chef and semolina flours, olives, canned fish and more. Ample parking is available in front and around the corner in adjacent parking lots. read more

We had a reservation for dinner at this restaurant for the first time. We were unable to find parking at first, but did eventually after riding around for 10 minutes. We were brought to our table that was crowded between other tables to our left And right about a foot from each other. I told the manager that I would like some privacy and didn't want sit in someone's lap. There were three other empty tables for two and other empty tables for four. He refused to sit us at another table saying they were fully booked. I wasn't aware that specific tables could be reserved. We left and will never return read more

Our group of 8 stopped for lunch today. The staff on hand was very courteous, helpful and patient with ordering. The sandwiches were delicious creative specials, very tasty bread offerings and options for hot or cold sandwiches and salads options as well. I asked about the spiciness of one of the choices and the manager offered me a taste to let me decide if it would work for me. I highly recommend it for lunch. They also have a selection of meat and artisan items for purchase. I highly recommend Park & Elm. read more

Dinner for four tonight was amazing. Started with the complimentary warm focaccia and olive oil. Delicious and they offered seconds - yes please! We shared three small plates: fried oyster deviled eggs, wild mushroom bread pudding, and octopus/clams with white beans. All were exquisite. My gnocchi with butternut squash and pepitas was so tasty. My husband got veal chop Parmesan (huge!) which he enjoyed. My son had the ribeye special which was cooked perfectly but the steak was disappointing- chewy. His fiancée had the salmon which was quite good. We shared six layer carrot cake for dessert. It was fantastic- so light and not too sweet. Cocktails were inventive and expertly prepared. It was a busy night and took awhile for our food to be served but well worth the wait. read more

Amazing selection for soup and sandwiches. Also fresh made pasta and excellent meat selection.

Delicious meal and always great service. Consistently a wonderful dining experience. One of our favorites.
