One of the best burgers I've had this year! I ordered the breakfast burger and added a smash patty for $4--worth every penny. The burger came stacked with crispy bacon and a perfectly cooked, gooey fried egg on top. Absolute perfection. I also asked for chili on my fries, which turned out to be a great move. We stopped here on our road trip. The reviews online were raving, so were stoked to check it out. We split a burger and the fried chicken sandwich. The burger was quite good; I loved the grilled onions on top. The fries that came with it were good as well! The fried chicken sandwich was decent for some bites, but dry and flat for others. I definitely would have preferred if they made it with chicken thighs instead of breast, as parts of it fell flat. I went by Yelp Reviews looking for a place to grab lunch after cheer competition in town. I didn't realize this restaurant is in the middle of a small shopping mall. They had limited seating inside the separate area and other tables right by the door outside. It was a cold day, so the draft was a bit of an issue. The food was delicious. Mac and cheese was out of this world. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and patient with my impatient teen daughter. I was also pleasantly surprised with prices. The biggest issue was that the bathroom in the mall was out of order. My kids needed to use the restroom and we had to frantically search on the Main Street. Very inconvenient. read more

This is not a large place and it actually takes a bit of detective work to find it. We initially discovered it by accident. It is down a large flight of stairs and then at the end of a long hallway. That being said, it is worth the effort to seek it out. They have a splendid limited menu and it has several really tasty options. The burgers are great. The pulled pork is wonderful as is the fried chicken sandwich. They have homemade shoestring fries that are scrumptious. Several items come with sweet potato chips. We have always found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. Don't expect speedy service because this food is not just sitting around. It is cooked to order. That is why it is always served hot and delicious. There is a small outside patio if you are inclined to want to dine outside. On nice days the few tables fill quickly. Overall, this place serves - as its name suggests - comfort foods. The order at the counter and take a number style was more our speed today. The smash burgers were tasty (if you don't mind the well done smash burger style). I had the apple and Brie burger. I had hoped for a little more apple taste but it was still delicious. The fries were unique. Thinly sliced and cooked to a medium crispy brown, they had more of an overcooked potato chip vibe. I didn't hate them. I was hungry and ate them but found myself wishing they were golden and filled with fluffy white potatoes. Maybe they just overcooked the batch and served them to all 4 of us and hoped we would just think it was their unique way of cooking fries. If that was their plan, it worked haha. Alright: continuing what was a plan for 2020 to get to every place that made a homemade veggie burger in house and comfort kitchen puts theirs back on the menu. Sometimes these things are hard because farm to table means they aren't always available but if comfort kitchen is asking having this all the time is my vote. The patty is very obviously not frozen, formed when I ordered and delightfully seasoned. The flavors in the patty complimented the flavors of the toppings (something other places miss), but for the love of your hands if you're not vegan order with cheese. The bun does nothing to hold this together, as is a structural problem for many things that don't have connective tissues. The slice of cheese added makes this a marginally attainable task. The pickled onions and spicy Mayo are divine. The iceberg lettuce adds the right amount of crunch. The avocado adds moisture and somehow did escape. Then the hush puppies. Usually I come here and order tots. No dice this time. These hush puppies though blow the tots out of the water. They're light and Delicious. The zucchini added some health, but the feta and mint add the punch. The honey butter I wanted to pour like nacho cheese over the tops of these. Eat these. Order dozens. Share with loved ones. Their special soup of the day was minestrone, and they gladly veganized it for me! I also ordered the falafel tacos. The space is comfortable and bright. It's a beautiful snowy afternoon here, and we sat by the window so we could watch the snow fall. The minestrone was hearty and flavorful. Place is super fire. I searched farm to table and this spot came up as one of the only lunch spots that boasts using local and farm fresh ingredients. Place is in this little mini strip mall with some clothing stores, and art galleries, pretty chill. The atmosphere is nice and the staff were friendly. Had the chicken tortilla soup special and it was just right. Lots of flavor and shredded chicken. Also had the pork belly bahn mi special which was crazy! The hoagie roll was great not too much bread and the pickled veggies were nice and fresh and crisp. The sandwich had pulled pork on the bottom topped with veggies and then two nice mouth watering pieces of pork belly on the top, love the flavor and texture combination.
