They're wildly over priced! I pay nearly $30 for a whole sub (on GF roll). The meat is barely there even if I order and pay like $4 extra it's still more roll than meat. I've sent in complaints numerous times and they never change it. The cheese is so thin it might as well not be on there and Yes even with ordering extra $2-3. I live the combinations they offer but, can certainly find MUCH cheaper & WAY better tasting options. read more

PROS: I've been a regular customer of the Saratoga Springs NY shop, at least twice per month, since May of 2022. The staff are always friendly with me and they happily accommodate my family's customized orders even when we have to call them in (more on that in a bit), and there is almost never a problem with my orders. Bearing in mind that this is a fast-paced sub shop, NOT a gourmet delicatessen, I think their subs are great for a quick lunch and a good value. For less than $12 my wife and I can split a "regular" sub for a quick yummy bite during our work break, and it's satisfying. This store is a great option to have at Exit 15, a location crowded with burgers and fried food. My family reliably gets good food and service from this store, fast and fresh. NEUTRAL: "Ambiance" is not a concern for us as we never eat in the store, but it's just a very basic small sub shop in a strip-mall / plaza, and I wouldn't say it's a place that you'd want to sit around in for a social date. I'd say it suffices for folks who need a place to sit for a quick lunch and then get back to their busy day. CONS: I do wish they offered delivery. For some reason this location does not, and so we often resort to using DoorDash when we're unable to drive there. This means higher priced items and service fees, we miss-out on Jersey Mike's "Free Delivery" days, and Shore Points are not applied to our account. There is a way claim Shore Points manually, but it's a total pain in the a** - requires you to log in to DoorDash and calculate your total with tax but without certain fees, and hope that you receive the printed paper tag with the "ticket number" on the bag from the driver. Then you have to log into your Jersey Mike's account on the website in one tab, find the "Claim Rewards" page via Google or Bing etc..., and manually enter all of the combined information, hoping that you've managed to calculate the correct price of your order. I've missed out on a LOT of points because of this nonsense! I do wish management would update their DoorDash options to allow for adding a note to an order and more customization on their DoorDash menu, something that is desperately needed. For example - you can't ask for anything special about your order since they have the instructions option set to "The store has chosen not to accept special requests". For a more glaring example - there are things missing from their DoorDash menu, such as Thousand Island dressing. So if you want a turkey sub "mayo on the side" and/or a roast beef sub with TI dressing, you have to call the store when you place your DD order, interrupt their workflow, and hope you get your phone request in before they start making your subs. Store management could easily fix these issues in their DoorDash settings. SO, WHY SILL 5-STARS? Because I'm rating the food and the service that I receive at the store in person and on pickup orders, and the service that I receive when I call in to customize a DD order, and the food that arrives via delivery. The friendly folks on staff here work hard and, IMO, do a stellar job for us every day! Grateful for this shop! Hoping the management will address the "cons" someday. read more

Update for the ordering procedure during COVID-19. I guess you can walk in and order but everybody seemed to be picking up an order they had placed online, and why not? The app is good with suggested customization options and if you want something unique (like yellow mustard on a cheese steak) you can request it in the comments section. So, no reason not to do that. My photo somehow cropped out half a dozen people who were milling around and waiting with no acknowledgement from the busy staff behind the counter. Eventually my name was called, about 5 minutes after the promised time. They should have a board to track the progress of orders, like at McDonald's, so you don't feel like you are being ignored. But good management of space for social distancing, which right now is the most important thing. read more

There was a line of about 10 people after me and the staff just had all the time in their world. It took over 15 minutes between taking my order and making a mini sandwich wtf?!? I had take out from here once. Then, I happened to go last night to try it once again. Pretty good. Line was long and it took a while, but I tried the chipotle chicken cheese steak on a whole wheat sub and it was very tasty. My only complaint is that the place is set up weird. Feng Shui is not their strong point. When it's busy, it's "cluster-y". Once you go in there, you'll understand. But, the subs are decent. I liked my hot sub better than the take out cold veggie sub that I had a couple of months ago. The kids that work there are nice and friendly enough. This business has been about about a month and is still working out the kinks. If you've been to Jersey Mike's then you know what their subs are like. If you haven't, then let me describe...3 sizes. Mini, regular, and giant. The giant is about 15 inches long and is big enough for at least two people. It's the best value if 2 people want to eat the same sub. A mini is good for kids and small eaters. Regular will work for most adults. I find their cold subs to be better quality than Subway, plenty of meat, but not as many trimmings as Subway offers (sauces, veggies etc.). I like their hot subs better. They do not toast any of their subs. Drinks are like 2.29 for soda (small with free refills) and chips are over a buck. Pepsi products are served. This store is poorly designed as you have to walk all the way to the back of the store to order and when you're in line to order you could potentially be very, very close to customers that are eating. I find that offputting for everyone involved. The floor plan here just doesn't work. I had a free birthday sub and drink and the little girl working the register screwed it up and if I weren't paying attention, I would've ended up paying way more than I was supposed to. She fixed it and apologized and that was fine. No biggie. I made sure I was paying attention, that's for sure. My wife and I went at dinnertime and the place needed a quick clean up (see my pics). They have 5 working behind the counter, 1 easily could have just gone around and cleaned up...I didn't really notice a manager type, though I'm sure they had one. This is the 2nd JM's that I've been to recently that didn't have a garbage can near the sodas/straws/etc. Makes no sense to me. People tear open their straws right there at the soda machine, but they have no place close by to put their straw paper...as a result they get strewn everywhere, on the floor, blah blah and it gets trashy. Whatever, it's just really noticeable to me and since this is a chain, you'd think they'd have figured it out and fixed it by now. Located in a strip shopping mall next to the Army/Navy store, their seems to be plenty of parking. My wife had and Italian sub and liked it a lot (on white bread). I had a chicken bacon ranch on wheat and it was decent, like 3.5 out of 5 stars. They did put plenty of bacon on it, so that's cool. I had them add provolone to mine but I didn't really taste it, which is a drag. I tasted mostly bacon and ranch. I'll probably go back but I won't be in a huge hurry to. Prices are a little high for me at all Jersey Mike's locations, not just this one. Join their birthday club online for free and get a free regular sub and small soda that's good for a year from your birthday, which is nice, so you got that going for you. read more

The subs are priced in line with any sub shop. Jersey Mike's cuts the cold cuts paper thin, I mean extremely thin. The cheese was sliced so thin it was translucent, I could see light through it. When I questioned them about super thin slicing the staff all congealed two staff members got irate in a very hostile tone saying that is how we make them. When I first came to Jersey Mikes, prepandemic, they put seven thin slices of meat on a regular size sub. Now they put only five slices and each slice is more thin than they were. Jersey Mike's is skimpy and overly cheap with ingredients. Not worth what they charge. read more

Ordered a Turkey Sub on line on 1/9/23 specifically asked for no onions and guess what they added onions. I didn't realize until 1/2 was eaten and was ill all evening. The sliding of sandwiches down the assembly is not very clean as they are not on paper but the actual counter, picking up every contaminate they may be there. Grinder shop this is not (or sub in NJ; wedge in Fairfield Co; hoagie Penna etc)...in the Northeast USA this is like going to Pizza Hut in Utica or eating at a Red Lobster in Maine. If you need one of these chain places go over to Mass and hit D'Angelos...a far better product even right down to the Eyetalian meats). I like the service here, and the fact that they slice your meats and cheeses to order. I still haven't found a bread that I like yet, but I'll figure that out eventually. It's a little awkward eating at one of the smaller tables in the back, because you're dealing with all the traffic going up to the order counter or to the rest room. When Jersey Mike's first opened in Wilton I was excited because their subs are delicious. However, I have noticed the last few times I have preordered via the app my subs are never ready at the pick time provided. In fact they were prepared about 45 mins after the time they said they would be ready. Additionally, I decided to give it one more try and just walk in and order and ended up waiting 25 mins for 1 sub to be made with no line at all and a lot of disorganization behind the counter. As I'm always excited to enjoy a hearty hoagie, this sandwich shop is having a tough time keeping my attention afloat with their sub-par quality food. (puns intended) Once you enter their sterile entrance (white everywhere), the odd layout will have you head-scratching why you enter the order line at the back building. I've had several of their signature heroes and wraps, unfortunately none of them leave me craving more. I do enjoy that their meats and cheeses are always sliced fresh to order; which could account for the longer lines. "Jersey" Mike decided to keep it simple with limited meat, cheese, and topping choices, not to mention only white or wheat bread options. They do offer a gluten-free roll, which is rare and much appreciated. The unique option to get your sandwich topped "Mikes Way" (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olive oil, vinegar, spices) gives the sub more pizzazz, but makes the sub very messy to eat. I'll sometimes request this with my BLT sub to give it more flavor, but I'd have a easier time eating it if it was covered in warm butter, as it's a guaranteed wet mess. Outstanding customer service, although they do often try to up-sell you into a combo or cookies. (Their cookies are hard to resist) Jersey Mike's also has a rewards points accrual system, and you can expect to earn a free sandwich after 4+ visits. Not my first choice for a classic American submarine sandwich, but I'll admit Jersey Mike's always delivers on fresh ingredients and friendly customer service. Next time you are out for your daily G.T.L., Jersey Mike's is the place I'd recommend you go for your grinder, otherwise pass on this place like it was hosting free tax education classes with dial-up internet service. read more

We love the food from here. We eat here probably once a week. I'm writing this review because I think it's important to know the staff has changed over the pass couple weeks. I ordered 3 sandwich and normally they ask mikes way. This guy puts mayo on the bread and I simple say, I'm sorry can I not have mayo on that please. He throws the bread in front and looks really mad. I said I'm sorry normally they ask me. He states mayo comes with it. I said I see that however I don't want it. He states you got it with attitude. I didn't deserve that attitude at all so I said you know what forget all of it I don't need it. So, the man cutting the meat, who I believe is the manager just stood there. As I'm walking away the guy goes whatever. Everyone has bad days but every week this staff is getting worse and worse. Great food so this is such a bummer. read more

I had a gluten free roll!!! I ask for the gluten-free bread and immediately, the counters are wiped, gloves are changed, orders called and the whole team goes into sterile mode!! I've got to agree with Otis. The construction of a sub here seems a little assembly-line and formulaic, but it's a good formula, and the ratios of bread, greens, and dressings to the meat is just about right. Subs are a little pricey, and I'm not convinced that the ones down the sidewalk at Primal aren't better. But this place looks like it will be consistent, and my experience with local Italian sub places is the more mom-and-pop they are, the more wildly inconsistent. For instance, Roma's great if you don't get there on a stale-bread day. I'd be a regular if everything were a buck cheaper. read more

My wife had raved to me about this chain for years, so when they opened here we had to try it. The atmosphere is chaotic and loud, and the menu boards could be clearer. We ordered a giant sub to split, and despite asking for mayo twice, the distracted sandwich builder put the vinegar and oil mix they are so proud of on it instead. My wife didn't mind that, but it wasn't what we asked for twice, and it soured me on the experience. Nothing about the bread or meat particularly impressed me. It was better than Subway, but that's a low bar to clear. Definitely overpriced and nowhere near the quality or artistry you find in the subs a half hour north at Sorrentino's in South Glens Falls, the gold standard for subs in the capital region. read more

It was terrible -- I was beyond disappointed walking into the establishment. Too expensive and a man (not working there) gave me quite a NASTY look. WHAT THE HECK! Overall, the sandwich making process wasn't very long at all, it was just the lack of excitement the workers didn't have. As well as the sandwich making, the toppings available that day were beyond appalling. There was absolutely no Kranch (ketchup and ranch) in their restaurant, which for one, who doesn't like Kranch? When I asked the worker if there was any Kranch in the back, he responded, "what is Kranch?" Ha, what is Kranch? Who in the world doesn't know what Kranch is? Took a chance going to the Saratoga Springs shop after reading some 'not so good' reviews. I have ordered subs from this particular Jersey Mike's (Saratoga Springs) on several occasions and found them to be fairly good. However, if you order online for pickup, be prepared to wait and possibly walk out without your subs. Recently, I ordered online and was given a time of 12:35pm for pickup. Apparently, if you walk in and order, your subs are given priority over those waiting for pickup. I tried to be patient but at 1:05pm, when my order wasn't even started, I asked if I would have been better just waiting in line. I was told, " yeah, you have about a 50-50 chance of that happening". At that point, I asked for a refund and asked who the manager is (politely, I didn't go all Karen!). I was told she's in Florida. There were several people there who had ordered online who were experiencing the same wait issues. Time to find another sub place! read more

I stopped to pick up a couple of subs to bring home for lunch. The Wilton / Saratoga location. The people behind the counter just stood and stared like their souls had been sucked out of them. After requesting what I wanted and didn't want on my sandwich, the person behind the counter asked if i wanted mayo. No that was one of the things I stated I didn't want. then she wrapped my sandwich and tossed it to the register. I asked if she put Mike's sauce on it she said "NO". Told her I asked twice. She then ripped open my sandwich and poured Mike's sauce all over it. Then wrapped it, slammed it down and walked away with a snarky "Have a nice day". I tried to complain to another counter person, She would not make eye contact and acted like she didn't hear me, even though I asked if she was ignoring me. I need to know how to contact corporate. We have enjoyed Jersey Mike's subs and have gone periodically for the last year or so. However, since this Spring, every order of ours was wrong. Wrong bread, no bacon, no onions etc. We've tried both in person & online ordering with the same result. I might suggest they use a sticker that they slap in the wrapper that says "bread choice out of stock" so I know that they actually read my order. Anyway.
