I've enjoyed a lot of coffee shops in my time living in NYC, CT, and FL and I can honestly say that Canon is the best coffee shop I've been to and is my favorite after only a few trips. I don't normally post reviews but this place deserves it! It's a converted house which gives it a really unique vibe since there's seating all around and lots of privacy because of the sections and walls. The drink menu is a beauty. I'm usually not a latte guy and take my coffee black because i normally find flavored lattes to be overly sweet and syrupy or thst thet overpower the taste of the coffee but that's not the case with the lattes here. They have really unique flavor combinations like the Apopka, which is an orange mocha latte, that are surprising but delicious. The lavender in the poet is there and brings out the other flavors but overly aromatic or overpowering as it normally is at other places And the food! They have a really solid selection of sandwiches, dishes, and baked good that are made to order and at a great price. I'll be a regular for sure! read more

BE PREPARED TO WAIT!!!! They are good but SUPER slow. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches, took them over 30min to get prepared. And you can't order ahead unless you download an app and create an account. It's too much hassle for coffee. But the coffee and food were good. This. Is. An. Amazing. Coffee shop! My first time here and the place is and feels very unique. Not your typical coffee spot it definitely feels homey and there's plenty of comfy seats to sit at. I got a Vanilla chai with Oat milk, it was reallly good. I also got their Caprese Sandwich it was fresh and so good. I cannot begin to describe how adorable this place is. I came across it recently as I am trying to support local businesses as opposed to chains during this whole COVID19 outbreak. I am absolutely in love with everything about this coffee shop. This is exactly what I needed for Apopka feel like home. Before I moved here last year I came from a town with tons of little coffee shops and I missed that. This place fills that gap and then some. It's set up like a house, with lots of cozy little rooms so it is the perfect place to study, work or just hangout. The coffee is incredible and they have lots of other options like teas & baked goods. Their specialty coffees include the Apopkan- an Orange/mocha latte & the Artist- a raspberry/Caremark macchiato. I would say Canon's only downfall is that the parking situation is a little difficult, but not a huge problem. The employees are warm and welcoming. This is definitely my new go-to hangout place! This is my local coffee shop. I don't post reviews as often as I should but Canon deserves all the praise it can get. Not only do they have an amazing menu, with amazing unique coffees, they also have a rotating menu which always has more unique tasty coffee flavors and food. My go to drink is the composer- vanilla and cinnamon. I have gotten similar drinks across different shops in Florida, but Canon is the best! They also have some great drinks to make you feel like a local- like the Apopkan. My mom loves this one, I believe it has a hint of orange,, yum! The food is delicious! Yummy sandwiches, pastries and a very yummy snack board with hummus and things to dip. The owner and her staff are so kind. They will always make your day better. I have brought family and friends to experience Canon and they all comment on how friendly the staff is. I have brought my dog a few times before we head out somewhere and ALL the staff always make an effort to say hi to her and make her a pup cup. There isn't a coffee shop I would recommend more! This place is an introverts' dream! Cute coffee shop with lots of personality and rustic charm. Plenty of rooms, tables and nooks to find a place to read, work, connect without being overwhelmed by noise or people. Lots of deliciousness choices on their regular menu as well as their seasonal. The staff was friendly and helpful in guiding me to try out the librarian, iced, with white chocolate. I didn't get the toffee flavor I was expecting but the drink was flavorful and a good balance of coffee with sweet. The parking lot isn't ideal, which I can see as being a turn off if you're in a hurry, but you can order ahead. I'll be back. read more

There's two entrances I must've came in through the back because it was a maze to try to find the register I had to ask seated customers. Cool coffee shop it's a historic house that's been renovated and there's lots of different seating areas for a private intimate outing. I ordered a cold brew and it was not good kinda bitter and sour. I got a decaf latte for my friend and she loved it but I probably won't be back. read more

I love their coffee and the aesthetic of the old house the coffee shop is inside of. There are multiple rooms with seating for you to find just the right spot to relax in while you enjoy your drink! They have so many options to choose from- two of my favs being The Librarian & The Apopkan. They also have a really good vegan brownie. You go find your spot (in or outside) and they will bring your drink/food to you. In the back there is a shady grassy area with a little bit of seating. The oak tree does a great job keeping the place shady if you're out back. read more

I always want to support a new, locally-owned business, so Canon Coffee gets a five-star review. There are a few tweaks that would make a positive impact for me. 1. Add additional sweetener and milk choices to the menu. Sweetener choices were Domino sugar packets, sugar in the raw, or Truvia. NutraSweet, Splenda, Sweet N Low and Equal were not available. Choices like almond milk, cream, etc., also would have been nice. 2. I would have liked some music. It was very quiet, so it seemed like any conversation broke the silence. Several people were working on laptops, so perhaps the music was silenced for them? It was just a little too quiet for my tastes. 3. Directional signage would have been helpful. Coming in the second street entrance it was confusing, as others have noted. It wasn't terrible or anything, just not welcoming. I did enjoy the coffee. The roast was nice, not too dark and not too light. Tried the doughnut-like things (forgot the name, sorry!) and they were good. Service was fairly quick and I noticed that other's special requests seemed to be accommodated. read more

A very fun, local, and interesting space in Apopka! The coffee is fantastic and the treats they serve are made fresh for you. We were a bit confused when we entered off Monroe, but it was a great introduction to this unique set up. A friend told me about this place so I went and fell in love. A super quaint, chill coffee house w good food and comfy atmosphere.

I absolutely love this local cafe tucked away in South Apopka. I ordered a cortado as I find this drink to be the make or break whether a coffee joint is "legit" and it blew me away! The staff was super friendly and asked if I wanted anything in the cortado. I told him to make it the way he likes it and was pleasantly surprised with caramel flavoring to sweeten the espresso. I also got the Artist because I was intrigued by the raspberry flavor being added to the coffee. HO-LY COW I was not disappointed! Lastly, I had a half order (4) of the aebleskivers which are basically pancake balls that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
