The ambience of canon is beautiful and it's a great place to take a date. The drinks were okay - too sweet and Canon's cannon did not taste that good. Food was normal but expensive for the portion sizes. I'd recommend the drink with the smoke, it had the best flavor and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Menu design is really nice and it shows images of what the drinks look like. Service is good and fast. Come here if you want instagrammable options and good vibes.
This bar is amazing. They really have everything - thousands of bottles. We stopped in for some chartreuse. Having chilled chartreuse on tap is a rarity!
Exploring Seattle for the next month with a friend who recently moved to the city and was able to snag a seat at Canon on a Friday night. We did have to wait about 15-20 minutes, but the time passed by fairly quickly! There are seats at the bar, a few other high top line seats and a few tables-- so understandable that it fills up quickly! It's quite dark inside, but very cozy and such a cute date night spot! The drinks are all fairly expensive, ranging from $18 to $24. There are also a few drinks that you pay $22 per person (2 to 4 people). We tried the rubicon, el guey, invader and pineapple julep. The cocktails are all fairly alcohol forward, but delicious nonetheless! The rubicon feels like their take on a Last Word-- a great combination of sweet, sour, and herbaceous notes. The El Guey feels like their take on an espresso martini and absolutely delicious. The invader came with a few very intense alcohol infused grapes. The pineapple julep was perfectly sweet and tart and topped off with some powdered sugar. Looking forward to coming here again to try more things off the menu!
My favorite bar in Seattle. Period. The best whiskey bar in Seattle. Period. The most skilled bartenders in Seattle. Period. Its Edison bulb-fueled, bottle-glinting murk is perfect. The clientele are friendly whiskey nerd. Its cocktails are the best on the city. I've been a fan for over a decade. I always order at least two drinks because they are so expertly-crafted and the ambiance is so relaxing and hip. And the prices are not too high. Cocktails are about $20 in Seattle. That's true here too. It's a bit noisy. That's because it's very popular and it's a small space. Come early to get a seat.
During my recent visit to Seattle, my friends and I stopped by Canon for drinks on a Friday afternoon. As expected, the place was packed at 5:30 p.m. We waited outside on the bench and lucky for us, we were able to get seated after waiting only about 20 minutes. Canon excels on multiple fronts. Their drinks are creative and well-balanced, and on top of that, they have playful presentations for many of their specialty cocktails. During our visit, we saw cocktails coming out from behind the bar in Chinese take-out boxes, bath tubs, bath robes, mini shopping carts, and more fun looking vessels. I ordered the "campfire in georgia" and the "backdraft". The first drink arrived covered with a large glass dome. Upon lifting the dome, the fragrance of smoked applewood took over the room. The second drink arrived in a clear fire extinguisher and was dispensed onto a flaming slice of lime sitting on top of a giant cube of clear ice. The theatrics here are simply unmatched. Theatrics aside, the liquor selection here is absolutely massive -- especially whiskeys. If there's a particular spirit you're looking for, there's a good chance you'll be able to find it here. The atmosphere here is loud, so if you're looking for a romantic date spot, you definitely want to look elsewhere since you'll need to speak up loudly for your date to hear you. Overall, I can't wait to stop by Canon again to try more of their cocktails and their food.
Absolutely loved my visit here. Very cozy and intimate vibes with rustic decor and warm low lighting. Love how the spirits are displayed and presented. For food, we ordered the broccolini, curry mussels, oysters, kalbi braised short rib, and fried frog legs. Everything was amazing, the kalbi braised short rib in particular was my favorite -- so tender and flavorful. The only disappointing dish was the frog legs, they did not taste fresh. For drinks, we ordered the lawn boy, close harmony, bachelors rose, and bocana. Loved the lawn boy, presentation was fantastic. Bachelors rose was also really good and smooth, and close harmony was refreshing. Bocana was a bit too overpowering for me. Overall, quite impressed with this place and loved my visit here!
My friends I came here for drinks while visiting the city. We had to wait to be seated, but dont think it was too long. This is a cozy (tight when really crowded) bar, that has a familial vibe with an underground look and wide selection of cocktails and bottles to boot. Plus staff willing to throw a smile or two in between slangin drinks. Everyone in our group liked there cocktails, and we had a nice time while there. Drinks - I had the Lawn Boy. I was impressed with the science along with the taste of the drink. It has bubbles that replicate a bubble bath, that don't melt, in a minuture clawfoot tub. I would return for the people watching and a trying another drink on there long menu. Or asking on of the artisan bartenders to create something special for me.
I am so happy my friend brought me into this little gem! I was visiting Seattle with my mom so I had a short night to hang out with a couple of my friends. We came close to the end of the night and I'm so glad we did! The menu, the ambiance, and the drinks were all so much fun! You get a little "preview" of your drink on the menu because they actually have a thumbnail drawing of what your cocktail looks like. I didn't think twice and immediately went for the little astronaut, it was SO FREAKING CUTE! The drink was good and sparkly heehee Our shared goal was to try almost all the signature cocktails ... and we almost did HAHAHAHA I have to say, the Lawn Boy was our favorite but Ground Control definitely won my heart hahaha The Whole Paycheck was very intense... and I come from Vegas HAHA A little sad we went so late so I couldn't try any of the food items but I'm anticipating my return ...(whenever that will be) Highly recommend this place! We were so immersed in our conversation I didn't get a chance to really speak with the server. She probably thought we were raging alcoholics ordering 6-7 cocktails .... HAHAH
This place was such a jewel to come and visit! They are on the list of top 50 bars in the nation to visit, and I completely understand why!! We came in without a reservation hoping we could catch a seat at the bar or just slide in on the list, and thankfully we were able to do just that! Bobby, the manager greeted us as we entered and told us it would be a short wait for a table, and that it was! We were sat at a cute little table in the corner and the ambiance of this place is warm, cozy, chill, yet good vibes only! They're known for all the great choices in basically everything! You're surrounded by very kind of whiskey and bourbon you could think of! So many many options. The menu is basically a book, and there's so many house made cocktails that they've created you could chose from! The fun part of the experience is the variety of glassware or tubs that the drinks come in!! Bobby suggested a gin cocktail for me that was my most favorite drink of my entire trip to Seattle! It was light, foamy, smooth, delectable!!!! Such a cool fun spot and the music!! The music was a winner winner, we didn't want to leave. Such a great mix of 90s hip hop!
Had a great experience at Canon! We went on a Sunday at 7 PM and were seated immediately. We ordered the Lawn Boy, Leave It to Me, and the duck confit dumplings. The dumplings were tasty, but the Lawn Boy was definitely our favorite--it even came in an adorable little tub cup! A lot of their drinks from the innovation list had fun, creative presentations, which added to the experience. The ambiance was warm and intimate, making it a perfect spot for a date. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking in on us regularly. Overall, a great spot for cocktails and a unique vibe--definitely planning to come back!
This has been on my list of places to try for a while. The vibe is great. Very cool space and an amazing drink menu. If you are feeling confident or adventurous, they have so many options to make any drink you can imagine. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
A fun vibe with an extensive cocktail menu but some missed execution. We dropped in around 6:30 on a Friday night and there were a couple parties ahead of us on the waitlist. It was a chilly wait outside, but we were seated in a cozy corner booth after about a half hour. The cocktail list was long and had a lot of variety with an emphasis on whiskey and chartreuse. We ordered our drinks and some pork belly bao buns. The buns came out before our drinks which was funny but they must have just been backed up with cocktail orders. Both drinks were slightly off, with my Xanthia having a slight medicinal taste and my partners being overpoweringly smokey, they were interesting combos but didn't really elevate the ingredients. The bao buns had a great bun and sauce but the pork belly slices were way too thick and mostly just a mouthful of fat. Again there were some great elements but the execution just wasn't there.
Known as one of the world's top 50 bars, it was a no brainer to check out Canon when my friends and I visited Seattle. It is located in the Cherry Hill area near downtown. We took an Uber here, but street parking is available. There are other bars in the area and it seemed like a pretty hoppin' area of town. Reservations are available per se but deposits are required. They like to think of themselves as a first come first serve type place though. This place is tiny as in there isn't alot of seating. They will not take parties of more than four (which we were). If you have a large party, they only offer a buyout of the bar for the night. We were very fortunate to only have to wait for a short amount of time once we arrived without a reservation. Be prepared to be right up on your neighboring tables. Bobby was the manager on duty but he basically took care of us all night. Such a knowledgeable dude and super friendly. Inside is dark with an exposed brick wall. Well, what wall you can see. Most of the other walls are stacked high with the most impressive spirits collection I have ever seen. It is literally floor to ceiling of everything you can think of from liquor to wine. They even have lockers around the establishment as well as in the bathrooms. The ambience was chill but they had an awesome playlist of music at just the right level to where you can still have a conversation with your peeps. Not only is this an amazing bar, but they also do serve food. We did not partake this time around because we had been eating our way through Seattle since we landed. We came for drinks and that we did. They have a drink menu with wine, beer, ciders, classic drinks and some of their own creations. They also have shareable size drinks as well as vintage drinks that will cost you an arm and a leg to drink because they use rare spirits. The drinks here are already on the spendy side which made me feel fancy enough. Their own creation cocktails are super unique and every drink is served in different ways. Some are very playful like a drink in a bathtub or a Chinese takeout container. Browse the menu and see what tickles your fancy. I was a bit overwhelmed and couldn't decide on anything in particular. I ended up getting the Kaos Theory which was a brandy inspired drink served in a little ball like glass. It was very tasty. My friends and I had to take a sip of each other's drinks and everything was delicious. I especially loved one of their gin drinks that we still rave about to this day. Overall, I can see why this is ranked as one of the best bars in the world. You get fancy cocktails but don't feel like you are in some super bougey establishment. We are already planning on coming back the next time we are in town. Can't wait!
A Seattle staple. Perfect for a night when you're in the mood to spend a good buck for top quality cocktails with a side of creativity. The bar itself is small in size so usually a wait is to be expected, and street parking can sometimes be difficult in this area. They also have a nice selection of food on the menu if you're hungry. Canon is one of the (if not the most) renown bar in Seattle. They serve expensive and creative drinks that you will not find on menus anywhere else. There is always a wait list as the atmosphere is always vibing. I came here for the first time on a double-date at around 7pm on a weekend. Even early in the evening, we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table, but I'm sure it's worse later in the night. The interior is dark, but not dark enough where you can't read the menu. The place is small and cozy and probably fits around a max of 50 people. Definitely come here with max 4 people. The menu is a work of art on its own (and in a good way). The artwork and layout reminds me of a Trader Joe's Fearless Flyer, with old-fashioned looking illustrations on each page to accompany the drink descriptions. My companions and I ordered: CANON'S CANNON (their signature drink) THE LAWNBOY POPART MAGIC MUSHROOM And an Absinthe drink that I can't remember the name of... We also got a couple of I DON'T KNOW, SURPRISE ME cocktails where we told the waiter what base drink and flavors we wanted. CANON'S CANNON was probably the best drink of the night. I understand why it's their signature. The presentation is cute as it comes in a mini cannon that you can drink out of. It had a rich almost caramel taste and strong whiskey taste. However, it wasn't bitter. THE LAWNBOY was just okay. The presentation was also cute and came in a mini bathtub with a straw. This drink tasted the lightest in alc overall and had a mild fruit taste. I personally wouldn't get this drink again. POPART had a cool image printed on top of it; the image I got looked like a mix between David Bowie and Elvis. The drink itself tasted okay, but the texture was gritty from the egg white topping and printed graphic. The graphic also stained my lips red and blue. I probably wouldn't get this drink again either. MAGIC MUSHROOM as you may guess, came in a mushroom shaped glass. It was better than Popart and Lawnboy, but can't say I really tasted the mushroom. The ABSINTHE drink was interesting (if only I could remember the name of it). It came with an Absinthe skull lollipop of all things that my boyfriend really enjoyed and said worked with the drink. This was probably the second best drink of the night. Lastly, we ordered a couple "I DON'T KNOW, SURPRISE ME" drinks. I asked for a rum based drink with fruity notes and got a Mojito. My boyfriend asked for a fruity drink (I think with absinthe?), but the drink flavors didn't really work. That was probably the worst drink of the night, but my boyfriend said it probably would've been better if he had asked for a non-fruity cocktail. The bathroom is really cool; they play an old 1970's TV recording. It has a ship cabin theme with fancy white towels to fry your hands. Service is decent. Canon is a very popular bar in Seattle and I can see why. It gives off speakeasy vibes although isn't necessarily hidden or hard to get to. Almost feels like a liquor library if that's a thing. They offer up a variety of small bites and even entrees if you're up for it. They also serve up some super creative cocktails and have a huge liquor selection. So huge that my friend couldn't decide which whisky he wanted to try because there were so many. Drinks are definitely pricey, so we only planned on getting one each. The Lawn Boy was $22, served with gin and passion fruit in a mini bathtub. A lot of people also ordered the Whole Paycheck, which was served in a mini shopping cart, how cute. And I also saw a lot of the Magic Mushroom being ordered. Trust that there literally is something for everyone here. You can even ask your bartender to come up with something new if you can't decide. The food here was pretty good as well. The salmon tartare was very refreshing, oysters from Taylor Shellfish are always a must in Seattle, and their Brussel sprouts were tasty albeit too oily. Canon is definitely a favorite and must see in Seattle, it's a very cute and intimate spot. Try to make reservations ahead of time if you can, otherwise, weekend at 5pm wasn't too busy for a walk-in. Second time here and experience is top notch. The server was so helpful and nice, we had sourdough bread with incredible butter and pumpkin pie with Thai tea ice cream. Food was so delish. Drinks are great, I prefer to do the roulette and my drinks are always great read more
Not a place for an everyday drink after work, but just right for a special night out. Innovative drinks with a bonus of innovative vessels for serving them! The prices are some of the highest as far as cocktail bars, but it's worth it when the night is right. Love that they also have lots of food options, which are served until late! read more

The kind of bar you take someone if you want to impress them about Seattle. There's an unlimited number of the fanciest liquors you've ever heard of, presented in amazing ways. Expensive, but worth it. Usually there is always a line out the door, but come Sunday night and you can relax without the crowd. read more
Incredible speakeasy type bar with a stylish interior, creative cocktails, unique bites, and awesome friendly / casual bartenders. Definitely on the high end side in terms of pricing, but I would not say overpriced in terms of value. Drinks: Magic Mushroom ($22) - smoke filled bubble Campfire in Georgia ($22) - wonderfully smoky I'd equate the presentation of these cocktails to magic show Food: Frog Legs ($20) - crispy fried, super tender 6 Oysters ($20) - the tobiko enhanced the brininess of the oysters Corned Beef Heart Reuben ($20) - Unique open face presentation with Nasturtium leaves on top! This cocktail bar is extraordinary! The drink menu is well balanced, and the amount of spirits they have is insane. Our bartender Joshua made our experience memorable and he helped me choose a cocktail that was approachable and quite honestly, the best cocktail I've ever had. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. We went on a Sunday evening and the place was bustling, granted it was the Sunday before MLK day. We snagged a couple seats at the bar in front of a stunning wall of spirits which immediately set the mood for a good time. We sampled quite a few drinks: leave it to me, close harmony, canon's cannon, shrouded roulette (where you pick a base spirit and the bartender creates a custom drink, fun!), cocktail pho-natic, campfire in Georgia, and the shared release the kraken (serves 2). Impressively, every drink was fantastic and presented well my favorites were canon's cannon and shrouded roulette (w/ a whiskey base and asked for spirit-forward). For food, we tried the charcuterie board and the butternut squash ravioli. Again, both were a 10/10. If I had to leave one note, it's that the music was slightly loud, but nothing that would keep me from coming back. By the time we left around midnight, the place was still packed which speaks to its lively vibe. Can't wait to come back to explore more of their menu! read more

Hands down the best cocktail bar in Seattle . Well priced, innovative menu and perfectly balanced drinks. Been here twice in the last month and tried so many of their cocktails- each one is impressive. There is some5hing for everyone. Food is good too and vegetarians are not forgotten. A must t try. Hard to recommend just a few drinks but these stood out- My last paycheck Lawn boy Campfire in Georgia And the shrouded roulette. We got so many more drinks and everyone we have brought over has loved it. read more

Canon has all the makings of a top tier cocktail bar. It actually was a world famous cocktail bar back in 2014 when it ranked in the top ten. However, after visiting, I understand their fall from worldly acclaim. Entering canon is like walking into the cocktail bar you wish you could always visit. The ambiance of the lighting, speakeasy wooden accents, and detailing ring perfect. You can only arrive with a group of four or less without a group reservation making the seating more intimate. Then come the drinks. As of June 2024, any classic cocktail is $16. That's fine, but their house creations start at $22 or higher. That's not fine. You aren't getting a cocktail with a $20+ value. It's almost like fun ingredients are added to seem edgy or different but nothing is added to the drink. This is true of some of the classics. A frozen pimm's cup is a good idea, just not in Seattle. A cocktail using Dimmi vermouth (banana stand) is a good idea, but I should taste the other ingredients. Their specialty cocktails are not only off balance, they're inaccesible by high price. You're likely paying extra money for their cute serving glasses (see my photos) and not for ingredients. We came into Canon close to midnight on Saturday. We were immediately seated and made comfortable. Canon has a seriously substantial bar-they have MANY liquor options! I ordered a shrouded roulette with mezcal as my spirit, with a request for spicy. They absolutely delivered on this cocktail! It was hot and smoky. They provided many cocktail options on their menu, but it was fun to choose my own adventure for my first ever round with them. We were looking over at other tables and were impressed by the presentations of the cocktails that we saw. Our favorite was a cocktail that was served in a mini shopping cart! Their bathroom is elegant, and they have an audiobook? Radio show? That plays while you are in there. I love Canon and can't wait to come back to try more of everything. read more
This was the best and most unique bar I've ever been to. The wait was long but worth it. The seating is limited, therefore cozy. Love the decor and the unique glasses for serving drinks. Lawn boy was not only served in a beautiful bathtub with bubbles and rose petals included, but it also tasted amazing and well balanced. My husband got the snow white's bong which was also very good. Decided to try bone marrow because I saw a lot of people ordering it. It tasted really good with black caviar and lemon zest. Had a great flavor. Would definitely like to come back and try more dishes and drinks. read more

Came here right at 5pm when they opened and luckily there was no wait so we got seated right away. Maybe 20 minutes in the place was full so definitely recommend coming here early if you don't want to wait. Service was great, drinks were also very good and came out in so many fun ways! The food was ok, nothing really stood out to me and I was looking forward to getting some things that were posted on the online menu that was not on the menu in the restaurant. Came here on a Friday night around 10:30, to my surprise, we were able to secure a seat almost immediately. Staffs were friendly according to Seattle standard and the ambience is nice. However the quality of the cocktails seems to be taking a dip from what I remember. I've been wanting to check out this place for a while now, so glad I finally got to visit. I came with two friends on a weekday night and thankfully we didn't have to wait at all, which was great as I've heard this place can get busy very quickly. The selling points of this bar are definitely the creativity & uniqueness of the drinks. Any cocktail you choose is bound to be in some sort of interesting container or set over fire or both. However, I felt like the actual cocktails themselves did not stand out particularly - for the price point, I was expecting carefully crafted cocktail masterpieces. You are essentially paying for the decor and presentation of the drinks rather than the quality of the drinks, which is fine but I don't know if I'd rush to come back. I also thought the serving size was rather small for drinks that came out to be ~$25 each including tax and tip. I don't think Seattle has many creative cocktail bars like this, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for visually aesthetic drinks, but keep in mind that the drinks probably won't blow your mind away. read more
Fancy, cozy bar serving delicious and gorgeous cocktails. Lucky if you have a reservation, if not just wait and we got lucky on a Saturday evening (around 6PMish) to be seated in less than 10 mins. Once you are in, you got to try their variety of cocktails and enjoy the ambience. They have an extensive cocktail menu and the picture actually shows how your cocktail will be served. 10/10 for presentation of all the drinks. We ordered the following cocktails: 1. The Whole Paycheck: If you have time for only one cocktail at Canon, you MUST order the whole paycheck without a doubt - vodka+bourbon what more can you ask for? We loved this so much and ordered atleast 3 more of these. It is potent too. 2. Espresso Martini: Divine lovely dessert cocktail. I am a huge fan of espresso martinis and this is was amazing. 3. Canon's Canon: Loved this cocktail which was actually served in a mini-canon. 4. Lawn Boy: Good gin based cocktail. I will be honest here - I ordered this drink just to drink it out of a bath tub :D 5. Mrs Eales's Receipt: Cute smoke globe and the drink was good. 6. Bitter Petals: My least favorite but still good. It was a tad bitter for my palette. This place is small so can be a task to accommodate large groups. Did not try their food except for the bread and that was good. I had been wanting to try Canon for a while. Heard great things about it and now I can confirm. First, the place is super cool inside. The ceiling, the way the bar is set up, and the beautifully displayed and most impressive collection of booze I have ever seen. We were lucky to find a spot at the bar for the 2 of us where we could see the bartenders do their magic. VERY impressive menu and obviously the possibilities are endless with the immense inventory they have. Definitely a mega cool spot in Capitol Hill. read more
One of my favorite bars in the city. Good cocktails. But the booze selection is really where its at. The service is superb and bartenders know their stuff. I say skip the cocktails and go straight to the scotch menu. But if you like cocktails they are solid. Can get a little pricey though. Canon is by far the most unique bar I've been to in Seattle! Everything is super impressive from the spirit selection to the cool atmosphere. It is a really small space, so the wait can be long even on weekdays. By far the biggest draw of this place is the creativity of the cocktails. The menu has a vast selection of very unique cocktails, including a cute drawing of what it's served in. Some standouts for cocktail presentation to me included the Lawn Boy (a bathtub), Whole Paycheck (a mini shopping cart), and Cocktail Pho-natic (an Asian takeout container). Although the drinks tasted very good, I didn't think the flavors were distinct or spectacular enough to justify the high prices (around $24 per drink after tax). But don't get me wrong, all the drinks we ordered were delicious, and I'd come back to try some of their more unique ones, like the Pho-natic. Service was okay, one of the bartenders did get annoyed and sighed loudly when we asked if we could split the check though. I've worked in food service before so I understand that splitting a check can be annoying, especially if it's busy (which it wasn't at the time), so we were just curious if he was willing to, but we were met with attitude. He did end up splitting the bill, which we were thankful for, but a simple no could've sufficed. I think I'd rather him have said no and been polite to us. The other servers were pretty friendly, but this left us with a bad taste when we left. read more

What I like about this place: - Drink Selections - Talented bar tenders - Hours of operation - Aesthetic of the place What I don't like about Canon: - It's very small with limited seatings with terrible table arrangement - Not designed for large groups and it's very packed and loud! People are sitting there like sardines! - Food selection is okay but the prices are just too high for what you get We went there on a late Sunday night. It was kinda busy and they couldn't tell us how long the wait is gonna be. It was mainly because we were a large group (ONLY 4!!) and it took them close to 45 min until they were able to let us in. There were many people who showed up after us and they were able to get a seat just because they were a smaller group (2-3) and they had more seating options for them. They finally let us in after 45 min, but then we had had to stand on a small area for another 20 min while ordering our drinks and waiting for an actual table to free up. That little standing table didn't have enough space to put our food on it. I highly recommend the owner to better optimize the seat and party size arrangement. It was a terrible experience at least for us. As for the drinks, I ordered two mezcal based drinks. One was from the special cocktail menu and they other was one that the bartender made for me. They were both very delicious and I was pretty happy with them. For food, we tried many dishes, from the bread, to ribeye, duck and risotto. We also tried the ice-cream tacos for dessert. Everything was good but not for the price they charge you. So my only complain on the food is the price! Overall I would go back to txhis place but only with a smaller group. read more

This is hands-down the best cocktail bar I've been to. It features an extensive, unique, and creative cocktail menu. If you want to be fiscally irresponsible, there is also a menu section devoted to high end rare spirits, either alone or in a cocktail. If you are celebrating an occasion, I would also recommend having dinner there so you get to stay and enjoy an extra cocktail or two. The appetizers and mains are fantastic. Not only that, the staff is awesome. Andrew was our bartender for the night and was awesome. Requested a gin-based floral liquor for my girlfriend's birthday and also an abstract "optimism" drink for him to create. Whatever he made was on point. It's not cheap, but more than worth it for a splurge. read more
A classy bar with so many pretty drinks! I went here with a friend and it was so hard to choose which 2 out of the list of specialty cocktails (aka "Innovations") to get - there is a cannon, a magazine, ice cream, bath tub, flower pot, etc drinks and I just want to get them all. That will get us quite drunk (and also hurt the wallet), so we made a tough choice and got the Lawn Boy and Mrs. Eales's Receipt. Lawn Boy is more of a cocktail sour, with passionfruit, papaya, and citrus notes, shaped like a bathtub. The straw has a shovel on one end to scoop up the flower petals. Mrs. Eales's Receipt is shaped like an ice cream - the "ice cream" is actually a bubble that is quite ephemeral, so I quickly got my phone and snapped a pic of the drink before it poofed. The cone is the actual cup, with bourbon and smoky notes. Both of these drinks are so creative. The vibe kind of reminds me of Oscar Wilde in NYC, though less crowded and less noisy. This place is recommended to get reservations, though we got lucky and got seated at the bar immediately. When we arrived, the party behind us were quoted a 30-45 min wait and that was only 8pm Thursday, so definitely go early especially Friday and Saturday! The long wait walk-in, as well as the pricey drinks (easily $20-30+ per drink after tax/tip) are the only downsides, but if you are in for a splurge, this bar is the place to be. read more

OH MY GOSH!! This is the best cocktail bar I've ever been too. The interior is beautiful! The selection was insane. You can get pretty much any type of liquor you can imagine. The cocktails are creative and so flavorful. I honestly don't even know how you would make some of them. The mushroom cocktail was my favorite drink I've ever had. It was sweet and savory and umami. I'm not even much of a cocktail person but this was next level. read more
Unique cocktails! Going out n a week day after dinner seems to help with getting a table. Although they don't allow reservations greater than 5, the space was big enough for multiple groups. I got the Snow White. Good for IG but not that much alcohol. Drinks are too pricy so I wouldn't go back unless it's for a date night focused only on cocktails and only to try the other ones that are interesting. read more

Canon came highly recommended and we were lucky enough to have a short wait time on the wait list as a walk up on a Tuesday night. The place feels like a speakeasy and the dim lighting is extremely cozy. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and their recommendations were spot on. I ordered the Lawn Boy and it came in a small bath tub and I was a huge fan. The drink wasn't too sweet and the bubbles had their own taste separate from the drink. The little details were amazing. My friend had the drink that came in the Nintendo cartridge which was so creative. He enjoyed it and we both enjoyed our second drinks which for me was a variation of an espresso martini that the bartender mixed up. I highly recommend this spot if your are in Seattle. On the pricey side but it is a unique experience with unique drinks. I can't wait to go back one day. read more
Not often do you find bars that make creative cocktails that also taste amazing! Canon does just that and has easily become one of my favorites in Seattle. It's a great sit down bar with an impressive selection of drinks. We ordered the Lawn Boy and Whole Paycheck. I personally loved the Lawn Boy, which was on the more sweet/fruitier side and comes in a small bathtub with rose petals. The drinks are definitely on the pricier side, but are worth it for the experience. Will be visiting again! read more

Parking is very easy on weekdays (except Friday), especially after 9 pm but it can get packed during weekends. Price came out to be around $100 for four drinks, it's on the pricier side but the presentation and concepts are good. We got the lawn boy, Shaballah, campfire in Georgia, and Snow White's bong. I'd recommend the first two for people who enjoy sweet drinks and the latter two for people who want something different. They have almost 5,000 labels in house so if you're a spirit enthusiast, this is the place for you. Great place to take a date after dinner but service can take a little long depending on how busy they are. read more

Canon has the largest spirit and most creative cocktail menu in all of Washington. Drinks and food are excellent, service is great, and ambiance is relaxing. I've been here on a few occasions and each time was excellent. First, their spirit menu is a whopping 189 pages. You can look at their website to see their "Captain's List" to see what they carry. I've brought a handful of whiskey lovers and they are always impressed at the selection. Secondly, the cocktails are all amazing. All of the cocktails are creatively themed, taste great, and always does the trick. Highly recommend for anyone looking to impress for a night out. Parking can be tough as it's located on the outskirts of capital hill and wait times can sometimes be long. If possible, book a reservation to avoid the wait! read more

This place is the best for Whiskey. They open daily at 5pm. This is a very small venue and they only accommodate up to 4 people. We made reservations for the bar top and the reservations cost 50 dollars. This is like buying a concert ticket if you miss your reservation they they keep the money. But on the other side the money if you show on time will go towards your bill. I would highly suggest making the reservation. We found this bar from reading the Whiskey advocate magazine. They had this bar features as top 10 bars to drink Whiskey in the US. This bar blew my mind with the collection on hand. They have whiskey from pre prohibition. They are high in price but dang... My husband and I enjoyed several pours. The staff is Top Notch. I enjoyed talking about Whiskey and we learned a few things. I ended my night with a pour of the Blood Oath 3. Amazing pour. I cannot wait to go back for more. read more
