What can be better than a fully vegan place with delicious food, friendly staff and very welcoming and amazing owner. We've had an opportunity to try their soup of the day (potato mushroom ginger), it was delicious. We've ordered two sandwiches to share, BLT with sweet potato fries and Cheesesteak Hoagie with house fries. The BLT was very good, jest needed more mayo/sauce as it was a little dry, the sweet potato fries were home made and delicious. Sriracha mayo that comes with them was super good. The Philly was amazing, the "meat" was cooked perfectly, but too salty. House fries super good, nicely seasoned. I got cinnamon crunch cake and muffin to go. Both were very good. The owner came out couple of times, and was talking to customers, super friendly. Respect for him being both the owner and the chef. Hard work for sure. I wish him all the best. We've really enjoyed everything, and if ever back in this area, will come again.

Vegan/vegetarian food has come a long way in the last 30-40 years. Cooking at home or eating out, there are so many more great options. I'm neither, but will gladly eat at a really good vegan place. Stripmall, plenty of parking. Bright and welcoming inside. I arrived around 1 on a Sunday and was told they were between menus and to come back in 15 minutes. Odd, no signage or brunch menus around, but it was a beautiful day so I walked somewhere nearby and came back. Service was great, though minimal (order at counter and they bring it out.) Interesting menu, and everyone seems to love the cheesesteak, but I wasn't feeling it and got the Buddha bowl. Rice, corn, beans, avocado, tomatoes, bbq jackfruit. Came out looking great. Big serving, fresh ingredients, a great blend of flavors and textures. Plus a big side of crispy, lightly seasoned fries that I didn't expect. I enjoyed it all, and left fill with some fries still in the tray. A little expensive, but big portion and great quality. Healthy, tasty, filling, and a pleasant atmosphere to eat in.

Delicious food, incredible service , friendly owner, loved the chicken sandwich and the fries! The collard greens were delicious and not greasy like I have come expect with vegan soul food joints. Will come back again and 10/10 recommend!

I visited this place about a month ago with a friend of mine for her birthday brunch. Let's start with the good stuff. The place was neat, cute and clean. The menu is on a pricy side but what we had was great. I had the salad which was really refreshing, full of flavors with different textures -if I could make salad like this, I'd eat it everyday! My friend enjoyed her sandwich as well. For food, I highly recommend. The reason why it took me a while to leave my review is...I have some mixed feelings about this place. So now onto the not so good part- when we walked in, I saw the big sign by the counter with no staff (see my pic). There were 3 people waiting in front of us. We waited over 45 minutes just to get our order taken. Since this was our first time visiting this place, I'm not sure if this is a usual thing for here or they could be experiencing staff shortage. I am all for supporting small/local business but this is still a place of business which should have a certain standard (in my opinion). But at the same time, they have the right to run their business however they would like and I feel like I'm being unfair or mean by taking some stars off for this. Also, while we were waiting, someone came in and started to say, "hello? ... hello?" And they ended up knocking on the kitchen door (they might have even opened it, I'm not sure). At that point, the chef came out and screamed at them. The chef was telling them off (not cursing though) in a very loud voice. I don't know the whole story, maybe the chef was stressed out, maybe this person comes everyday just to ask for water, I don't know. But it just wasn't pleasant. The wait time itself is enough for me to hesitate going back there again. 2 customers (1 who was waiting before me and 1 who came after me) left because of the wait. It also wasn't a good feeling to not be acknowledged for such a long period of time. I know they put the sign up so that no staff would have to go back and forth but I still think someone should have come out just to greet or say they would be with you shortly. One last thing- the place is in a strip mall so they gave a decent size parking lot if but I'd do busy since there is a BMV in the same mall. Food is a solid 5 but my experience is 3 at best.

Returned two weeks later: Craved that cheesesteak sandwich for 14 days straight after devouring it on my first visit. Let me tell you, It was even better than I remembered!!! We returned on my birthday. My husband said I could go anywhere for a meal that day (cost was not an option). I looked at him without batting an eye and said "oooooh. I want that cheesesteak. Can we go to "I cant Believe Its Vegan"... they only have this on the weekends". My husband, who is a carnivore, looked at me like "seriously? In hindsight, he was probably never so happy to be forced eat vegan as I when he has given me that option in the past I quickly book at places like Chapmans, Agni... boogie/pricey. Nope. Today I wanted a 18 combo plate of that Vegan Cheesesteak! He ordered the Caesar "no chick" chicken salad. He devoured it. This time I shared my sandwich which he literally said "wow, Thats vegan, It tastes real". Cue my "I know, right" face. He is now a believer and wants to come back for the pasta. This time in we got to meet Clayton, the owner. He is also the chef and let me tell you his soul lights up the room with positivity and friendliness. We enjoyed talking to him about his vegan journey. He gave us samples of their mac n cheese which is rich and creamy, a little smokey, yet no dairy at all. He also gave us a sample of his greens. Oooooh, I tell you.... I might need to order a lot of that! So good! For my birthday, he gave me the most wonderful vegan blueberry bar that he baked with his hands. Delish! Thank you, but the greatest gift is this restaurant, which he shares with all of Columbus. So, if you are curious about vegan food this is the BEST place to go as they have honed their craft and I can seriously say there is something here that will appeal to everyone. If you are vegan or vegetarian. What are you waiting for? Its worth the drive. This is a hidden gem!!! Just please dont come on Wednesday- They are closed that day.

Not so chicken sandwich Bbq jackfruit

The owner is the most attentive and caring person ever!! Food was so yummy, and the soup of the day was so flavorful we got the not so chicken sandwich, bbq jackfruit sandwich, coleslaw and wings. We will definitely return when we are back in town. Such a great atmosphere and such yummy food.

first off, let me say that there aren't a lot of vegan options north of Columbus. Having said that, we don't need any more than the best one there named " can't believe it's vegan" chef Clayton knows his craft and his customers. Everything is delicious and the restrooms and restaurant are kept very clean! The parking is free, the food is reasonably priced and getting there is easy we have often eaten at 4th & State which we really enjoy. We think the waffles here are better, and it's a lot closer to where we live so we will definitely be coming back! If you are vegan or just in a vegan mood, please check out this restaurant it's worth it!

There's so much good to say about this place. First of all, the owners Clayton and Kim are very welcoming and each time I come, I am offered a sample of the soup of the day. Cooked to order, the menu has a great variety. For the pastas, there are two dishes with marinara., the CIBV Lasagna Rolls and the Angel Hair Spicy Sausage Pasta. Two dishes are marinara free. I tried the Angel Hair Chick'n Pasta, which was fantastic. It has minimal oil sauce that lets the vegetables shine. I've tried the Chickpea Pasta Alfredo, also a nice choice, and by the way, pasta dishes come with a delicious roll. The place is very clean with a minimalist ambiance and tasteful music. There's two sets of tables with chairs outside. The bathroom even has feminine care products. They also sell t-shirts, coffee mugs, and water bottles. The only drawback for me, an HSP is the loud noise that lets them know a customer has come.

    The barbecue jackfruit ribs.

The barbecue jackfruit ribs have been the best I have ever tried definitely recommend if you're a first time vegan to try this place or even if you aren't one you can't go wrong here. If you love ribs, this is the one to go to for those. Staff was very friendly. The place is very clean as well which I loved.

As a non vegan I was skeptical when we visited as a family. I was blown away by the experience. The food was excellent. Excellent. I have spent my life being open to healthy foods but skeptical about vegan meals. This experience has changed my mind. I will not hesitate to come back and explore more of the menu. In fact I left planning my next visit The chef and owner was highly engaging, thoughtful and helpful with picking menu items. I'd come back alone to be a patron of an entrepreneur with such passion.

Vegan BLT with Mac and cheese
    Lisa K.

This place is absolutely amazing. The owner was so helpful with helping me pick my meal with a soy sensitivity. We ordered BBQ jackfruit and the BLT. The BBQ jackfruit was good, with light flavors that complimented each other. The BLT had crispy bacon, delicious sauce, and toasted to perfection. I can't wait to go back for the BLT. Our sides were the Mac and cheese and side salad with house dressing. Both were so good and I would have a hard picking between them. The place was very clean and the bathrooms had stunning tile work. Overall it's perfect with amazing food that is good for you!

And when I did happen to be nearby it was always packed. Today I got there at 1030 on a weekday, and while it was half-full inside and out there was no line. Service was excellent start to finish, with several people checking on me at various points. I got the kathi roll and a milk tea. Came up pretty quick. The milk tea was good, fairly subtle, a good accompaniment to food and refreshing on a hot day. The kathi roll was outstanding. Smelled great, tasted great, looked great. Plenty for me at lunch. A nice blend of flavors and textures; I looked forward to each bite, and each was a little different. Meat, onions, sauce, and more. Yum! Wrapped nicely and, though a bit soft towards the end, not messy. There are a lot of other things I want to try. Price is reasonable for the quantity and quality. Atmosphere is great, inside and out. One minor complaint: the bar stools aren't comfy, and could use a foot rest along the bar. There's one on the stool itself but it's awkward; I just used the empty stool next to me to rest a foot. There are several tables inside and out, lots of light, and nice decor. Street parking was a little busy, again late morning on a weekday- fairly typical for Worthington. I found a spot in front of the church, and there are city lots nearby. Somehow in a cell service deadzone for me, but CoHatch is right next door and has wifi... Oh, and the order numbers are Uno cards, kinda fun. A good experience all around, and I'll be back.

WOW. So I had a…read moremedical appointment up in Westerville & as usual, due to health issues, couldn't eat before it -- which means I would be hungry & cranky by the time it was over. Husband came with me, and we were trying to find a reasonably inexpensive restaurant with good food. A quick search turned up a lot of *expensive* restaurants in the Polaris area, and restaurants that we weren't into at that point, but then I saw Agape' listed right near the Ohio Health offices up there. So I did what any sane hungry person would do -- I asked the nurses & techs at Ohio Health who were involved in the procedure, "Hey, that Agape place nearby? Any good?" (seriously, medical people are going to know the good eateries nearby -- they get a ton of delivery because they're always busy & they aren't going to mess around with a crappy eating place for their lunch breaks). I got an immediate "OH HELL YEAH" and enthusiastic recommendations from not only the folks who were involved in my medical stuff, but also the desk staff, other nurses/techs, etc etc. That's an amazing sign -- a place that gets immediate "OH MY GOD YES" when you ask folks at random if it's any good. So, my medical procedure over, we went to Agape'. OH MY GOD, YES. OH HELL YEAH. First, it's a chain, but it's a LOCAL chain, founded & based here in Columbus OH with only a few locations around the city at the moment. They seem to have focused on taking over the old/defunct Chipotle locations (Chipotle's mostly gone belly-up here), and repurposing it for their Greek/Mediterannean concept. Let me be clear for the folks in the back: AGAPE' IS NOT OWNED BY CHIPOTLE & HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. They're Columbus-local, & MORE POWER TO THEM. Agape' works like Chipotle -- select your base (salad, fresh pita bread, bowl), select your protein, select your sauces/spreads, load up on the fillings, and DAMMIT GET THE GREEK FRIES, THEY'RE SO FREAKIN' AWESOME...:cough: sorry. So both Husband and I had pita gyros with various different fillings and then made the "mistake" of ordering 2 portions of Greek Fries, one for each of us. FYI, those portions are BIG. One order of Greek Fries is more than enough for two people, but who cares, we've got leftover Greek Fries in the fridge for a snack later... :cough: sorry. The food is that good. We had to wait a bit for fresh pita (but who cares? FRESH HOT PITA!!!), all the fillings & protein & THOSE FRIES were fresh, hot, tasty, filling & just go ahead and add any other complimentary adjectives here, because Agape' deserves it. They took the Chipotle concept, improved it, ran with it, and GOD, I hope they succeed & stay the course, because I have regular medical stuff up in Westerville, and I really need a good inexpensive place to eat after those appointments are done. (My only minimal gripe -- no Clintonville location. Yet. The Westerville location is about 20 minutes up the road for us; the next closest seems to be out in Gahanna. But don't rush to expand, Agape' -- expanding too fast, too soon can sink a business hard. Take your time & focus on that glorious Greek food. AND THOSE FRIES.) Oh, and the baklava was PERFECT, too. ;)
