So cute! Of course I found this place on yelp! Waited for a day where I was in the mood for a lighter lunch. We sat in the cool booths and even though I didn't have an adult beverage, I was happy to see there were offerings of some. Ordered the half chicken salad sandwich on croissant and half pecan salad. The chicken salad has a sweet aftertaste with a smooth consistency. Would have preferred a thicker mixture of chicken salad but it was still very very tasty. Other things ordered at the table were the hot beef and pepperjack cheese, chicken soup and the tomato soup. I couldn't stop stealing spoonfuls of the chicken soup!!! I cantaberry believe we stayed & didn't walk out of this place. When we walked in a giant sign says Please Wait To Be Seated so we stood there when someone sitting at a table close to the entrance said "if you want faster service you might want to walk back there to booth otherwise you might be waiting awhile". The booth is all the way in the back past all the tables & booth & next to the kitchen. The place wasn't clean but we knew they were busy. 3 waitresses finished what they were doing before one asked "can I help you?", she told us all tables were taken & we asked if we could sit outside. She said yes & that someone would be right out to serve us. We sat at an empty dirty table with 4 used cups on it & a couple other pieces of trash. When the waitress cleared the table she didn't wipe it but we ordered knowing we'd be quick. We each ordered salads which took awhile to make, & when they came out the lettuce was completely dark, limp & freezer burned on both salads - I honestly couldn't believe this was served to us even on a busy day. When the waitress eventually came back I pointed out that it was almost all of the lettuce & the waitress very kindly said I'm so sorry, I see that's the case with both & I'll have them remake them. She was very nice about it. When she brought them back out she said they had to make it with spinach only because all the mixed greens were freezer burned. We ate as much as we could, paid & went on our way but we had to try so hard not to think about our awful experience there for the rest of the day. I'm not sure how you can make a salad taste bad but they did it. It was such an unpleasant experience but more so because of the food than anything. I honestly would rather have been hungry - it's worse to eat & pay for a meal you absolutely hated (when I say eat we both left at least half). We had the chicken and rice soup. It was so good! This is a small place, so be prepared for elbow to elbow, however the food made it worth it. A lot of bigger more upscale places in the area, but I love a good mom and pop type place and this was definitely that! read more

I went in to place an order to go for a beach day, and wow smoke is horrendous. I do not know how people sit inside the restaurant. I was recommended this place, but extremely disappointed. My husbands wrap was over powered by mayo and quality of deli turkey is not good. I had chicken salad which didn't have much flavor and I ended up feeling nauseous 1/4 way through eating it. Overall very disappointing we threw majority of everything away except the chips. Pasta salad has zero flavor. Maybe Ellijay location is better? The staff were super friendly. read more

There was a bit of a wait on weekday lunch but was well worth it. Enjoyed the grill cheese with apple and bacon and the chicken avocado bacon wrap. Shared a spinach pecan salad that was amazing as well. Too full for dessert but they looked awesome some of the most reasonable prices in Blue Ridge that I've seen Update 6/17 tried it again this trip and its still awesome! The staff was friendly and the experience was overall enjoyable. My main issue was the lack of specific dietary friendly options on the menu which altered my experience somewhat. I would have loved to try the soup that looked delicious, but I'm lactose intolerant and all the options available contained dairy. It would be great to offer something with a non dairy base; my friends I dined with all loved their soups! The Reuben sandwich was on ordinary white bread and corn beef was right out of the 7-11 deli nothing to write home about at all. Same goes for their turkey sandwich. The chicken salad was OK but a little runny and the tuna salad was fishy. The mushroom and brie soup was the only thing that was at least average. I'm not sure how this place get four and five star ratings. At the end I waited over five minutes for someone to pick up my check and then realize you had to go to the counter to pay. While waiting at the counter for at least a full minute the cashier came over and proceeded to ring up for checks in front of me and deliver each one before taking care of me. She extended my stay at the restaurant between five and 10 minutes while I just stood there. With so many selections in the Blue Ridge area I will not be back. read more

The three star rating is an average of four people's opinions from yesterday's lunch. Let's start with soup: The New England clam chowder and chicken rice were delicious! (Like most clam chowders, there were too many potatoes, but the broth itself was yummy.) Two of my friends had tomato basil, with differing opinions. One thought it was too sweet (!) the other finished every last spoonful. We had two plates of chicken & tuna salad. Everyone's consensus was, excellent chicken salad, including the sandwich option. Mixed reviews on the tuna; I liked mine, my friend was disappointed with the dark tuna and somewhat dry, fishy taste. I think management should jazz up the plate with more greens. I had the hot steak sandwich and although the steak was moist the rest of the sandwich was pretty bland. It needed a sauce for sure. The food might be good but I didn't get the chance to try it. After waiting 40 minutes for a to go order that was supposed to be ready when I got there, I had to leave. In that 40 minutes I saw several people come ask if they could get waited on and heard the cook yelling that the waitresses were taking the wrong orders. I visited the Cantaberry location in Ellijay before and absolutely loved it. I was very excited to have the chance to try the Blue Ridge location, but it was so underwhelming that I'm irritated. To begin with, their website says they close at 5ish on Sundays. We arrived around 3:45. There were plenty of seats, but the server seemed irritated to have to clean off a booth for 5 people. We ordered and received our food, and it was not the same quality we had in Ellijay. It wasn't terrible, but it was definitely disappointing. The server dropped the food and never came back. She never refilled drinks or asked if we needed anything. Shortly after 4:00, they turned off most of the lights in the restaurant. I looked up surprised and noticed another server staring at our table. Apparently, the restaurant actually closed around 4ish instead of 5ish. Again, we waited awhile for the check, feeling self conscious about obviously wasting their precious time. My biggest beef is that they turned out the lights on us and made us feel unwelcome. Also, if it's that's important to you, set a real time instead of using this ish nonsense. And post the accurate time on the website. I don't check the door to ensure it matches. I'll give the Ellijay spot another chance, but there are too many good restaurants in Blue Ridge to waste time on this one again. read more

We didn't know what to expect when we walked in. It was cold out and this was the first place we saw. We were pleasantly surprised!!! I had the lunch special (beef and cheddar) and my father had the beef and pepper Jack. I liked the fact there were gluten free buns. Both sandwiches were delicious!!! The server, whose name I can't remember, was attentive and so friendly. We saw her outside later as we were walking by after visiting a store and she said hi and was really very kind.
