Ambiance: Beautiful restaurant on the Crane Creek Vineyard Property with quaint & bistro-esque dining tables inside and on a patio. Perfect for a lunch, brunch, midday celebration, vineyard date, or family meal. The food was amazing! I loved the chicken salad croissant sandwich. Everyone at my table enjoyed their entrees. Highly recommend the French Onion Soup. It is a bit buggy on the patio so I would recommend bringing bug spray or dressing with that in mind. Do note that I believe they close early. Onsite parking, clean restrooms, fast/attentive service. Do try the wine! Great find - highly recommend! Affordable pricing as well.

My mom recommended this place when we were staying at her house in Murphy. It was a pretty short drive so we decided to check it out. We arrived too early for tastings at the vineyard and ended up absolutely loving this spot. Picturesque and inviting in every way. There were a few pop-up shops set up on this particular Saturday. There was a make-your-own bouquet area and a table with beautiful premade arrangements. I ended up buying a pair of handmade earrings. Then we headed over to the patio for a flight of four Cane Creek wines. I grabbed a bag of locally roasted coffee and a bottle of bubbly to take home. The staff was friendly and the other patrons (all ages, families, girls groups, couples...) seemed to be having an equally great time soaking up the sun with a spectacular view of the vineyard. Can't wait to come back again!

Very beautiful place located in the middle of a wine vineyard. I have had the breakfast last time which was wonderful and decided to try the Pot Roast this most recent trip. Service was attentive and food was delicious. Great place for a special occasion or looking for a nice meal. The French Onion soup was also amazing.

Lovely bistro style restaurant at Crane Creek Winery. My husband and I had dinner here recently and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The blue cheese spread and warm pita was absolutely phenomenal. Slightly bitter, slightly sweet and just unique in the best possible way. My chicken dish on the nightly specials was also excellent and my husband said the beef Wellington was one of the best he's ever had. Service was friendly and perfectly paced. We've already reserved this restaurant for dinner again in a couple weeks. Oh you can reserve tables on their website.

As usual, Paris & Company never disappoints! Delicious French onion soup. Delectable sandwiches. Their skinny margarita was delightful, and the service was friendly and bubbly!

Good but pricey. Beautiful outdoor setting. My ribeye cut was lacking but everything else was wonderful. Excellent service.

Beautiful setting on Crane Creek Vineyard. The 4 top tables were a bit small for 4 plates & condiments. Excellent selection of Brunch sirens along with Sunday Diner options. I wish I could remember the young man that served us (he had pony tail) one of the BEST waiters we all agreed . Excellent creative selection of delicious food! Will be back

The lobster and crab salad is to die for. You can buy a quart or pint.

I dined for lunch on May 30th and had a wonderful time. This was my first time dining with them. The service was wonderful. From the host to the wait staff. I was with three friends. I split the turkey and brie sandwich and the lobster and crab salad sandwich with a friend. We loved both but the lobster and crab salad was AMAZING. I would drive 2 hrs from metro-Atlanta just for the lobster and crab salad. Another friend had the chicken salad sandwich and she loved it. We all shared the parmesan/truffled fries - very good. We also had the lobster bisque which was flavorful and full of lobster meat. I will definitely dine here again when I make another trip to the area. I want to try the shrimp and grits.

What a little gem.. this place is located at Crane Creek Vineyards. The place is small but absolutely delicious! Our waitress Alisha was great & was very knowledgeable. We all ordered a French onion soup, it was so flavorful! I also had the Candied Pecan Chicken Salad Croissant which was just as tasty as well! They will be offering cooking classes soon! You can also check out the vineyards tasting room while there as well!

Hidden Gem Alert…read more Some places spend millions trying to manufacture "authentic." The Open Door at Alley's Ol' Store apparently skipped that meeting and just kept being authentic. The building looks exactly like what you'd hope to stumble across while wandering the North Georgia mountains. Rustic. Colorful. Cozy. The kind of place that makes you instinctively slow down because you know there's probably something interesting inside. Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt, but that's part of the adventure. If you're expecting a six-level parking garage with valet service, you've made several wrong turns. The staff immediately made us feel like we'd wandered into Papaw's store and the grandkids were helping out for the afternoon. Two young ladies were running the place, one at the register and one making sandwiches. They weren't reciting a corporate script or trying to upsell me a rewards program. They were just genuinely friendly people who actually seemed happy we stopped in. Imagine that. This isn't a restaurant pretending to be a country store. It is a country store. There's no fancy dining room either. You can eat on the little front porch if it's available, but we grabbed our sandwiches and walked across the street to the riverside park. Honestly, I can't think of many lunches that end with eating beside a mountain river and making a few casts with a fishing rod before heading down the road. That's hard to beat. Now let's talk sandwiches. Three of us ordered the Harvest. Presentation? Maybe a 7 out of 10. Nobody is arranging edible flowers with tweezers back there. It's toasted store-bought bread filled with ingredients that simply belong together. Sometimes food doesn't need to perform gymnastics. It just needs to taste good. And it did. Every bite reminded me that somewhere along the way we've confused "artisan presentation" with "good cooking." The Harvest isn't trying to become internet famous. It's just quietly being delicious. My brother ordered the meatloaf sandwich, and if he wasn't already family, I probably would've stolen half of it. He declared it fantastic with exactly the right amount of condiments. The grandkids inhaled their grilled cheese and ham & cheese without a single negotiation, which every parent knows is basically a Michelin star. One thing that really caught my attention was the steady parade of locals coming in for takeout. That's the kind of review you can't fake. Locals vote with their wallets every day, and this place clearly keeps getting elected. Here's another tip: don't skip the neighboring art gallery. My daughter wandered in and came back smiling. The manager wasn't just selling artwork. She was telling stories. She explained the history of the area, how it shaped the artists, and why certain pieces existed. You could tell she genuinely loved what she was talking about. That's becoming a rare commodity these days. By the time we left, I realized something. The Open Door doesn't have the polish of a big destination restaurant. It doesn't need dramatic plating, twelve-word menu descriptions, or foam strategically placed with tweezers. It has something much harder to create. Character. If you're driving through Lakemont, call ahead if you're in a hurry. If you're not, browse the store, visit the gallery, grab a sandwich, walk across to the river, and stay awhile. Some places feed your stomach. Places like this feed your trip. That's the definition of a hidden gem.

We stopped in with our grandkids to get desserts after picnicking at the park across the road. I…read morehave a small service dog for a serious medical condition. My daughter was carrying her due to my grabbing some meds out of the car & she was told to leave - dogs not allowed. I stepped in and explained she was a service dog. The woman behind the register needs some training on how to handle service dogs because her response was embarrassing and uncalled for. She rolled her eyes and nodded her head and said "ohhhhkayyyyyy" and walked back behind the counter. We left without patronizing this establishment. My cousin got the same and her husband got The Rachel I think, he said it was good but he's man of very few words, but he had it eaten before I had even eaten a few bites of mine so I assume that meant he really enjoyed it. The drinks were a really good fountain drinks which has been harder and harder to find. The only thing I wasn't blown away by was the sides, we had pasta salad, and Cole slaw and they were fine, nothing bad just wasn't really worth the extra calories. Overall I definitely recommend Red Brick Deli if you want a good sandwich.

I picked Red Brick when we traveled to Murphy because a review stated they had gluten-free wraps…read more Nope! That was the previous owner. Since I am gluten intolerant, options were slim. I chose the Chef Salad, no tomatoes. As you can see by the picture, this salad really needs the color of tomatoes, and is very bland without them. Also, in a deli, I was expecting sliced, rather than shaved, meats. I personally find shaved meats very unappetizing. But because I was hungry, and had ordered it, I ate the salad. I had a side of potato salad, too, which I found more to my liking. Hubby had the Cuban. The waitress said the bread is made locally. He found the sandwich to be adequate. We probably will try other restaurants in the area on future visits.
