Best margarita in Denison! The service was spot on. The food is excellent! The guacamole was enough for four people

I want to love this place, but the last few times I've been, it hasn't been great. Tonight, there were 12 of us, which I know can be a challenge. It's a Friday evening, but the restaurant wasn't all that busy by the time we placed our orders. After over an hour of waiting, five of our dishes came out wrong and we were charged for things that we hadn't ordered. It's not a new establishment by any means, so maybe we were there on an off night, but I'm not really buying into that. Let's hope it knocks my socks off if I decide to try it again. read more

So we were visiting and we made a reservation on Google, which clearly wasn't needed when we arrived even though it was 630 on Saturday night. The reservation wasn't found but it was fine since they seated us. We were then told the dinner menus had run out so they could only provide the lunch menu and to ask if we had questions on pricing. We ordered the fajitas, the tortillas seemed store bought and the steak was so tough and chewy I had to cut it into small pieces. Would never go back again. read more

The staff is so kind and the food is always a hit. The carne guisada was delicious. Also loved the white rice with cilantro and peppers.

Nice people, always a smile. Nice ambiance, not too bright. Lunch tacos had barely any meat in them. The taco shells and chips were stale. The salsa had been refrigerated and was very cold. The Diablo margarita was good. Unfortunately, seems to be slipping. read more

Service was a bit off for Sunday Brunch, wait staff seemed disorganized or just unfamiliar with how to wait tables. Drinks took quite a while to get out, and it was just tea and soft drinks. Our party wasn't particularly large, only 6 people. Brisket breakfast tacos were really good, Bacon breakfast tacos seemed to be a bit light on bacon, just a few tiny bits in with the egg. The paint is bubbling up on the floor, seems like it should have been epoxy coated. Our previous trip in had amazing service, not sure what's going on at this location. We were very optimistic when this place opened and we frequented it fairly often. It was nice and we had some good meals. Then one evening we were served the chips and salsa and there was a long black hair in the salsa. I pointed this out snd was given a different container. But at that point decided not to have any more. We decided to give the restaurant another try at a later date. We ordered fajitas, this time there was a piece of wire in my rice, the type from a brush to clean the grill. I told the server and she got the manager who then whisked away the wire piece, apologized and offered a replacement. Again decided not to eat anything else. I was not charged for my portion of the meal. Needless to say we have not been back. Twice is enough. read more

Our service has been extremely slow & our food came out cold, we have come here multiple times & I am extremely disappointed in my experience. We watched two couples walk out due to not being served in a timely manner. They did not honor advertised specials and changed prices. They gave a 2oz salsa to only 2 out of 4 people at the table. First time- felt like the prices were way too high. Second time (a year after 1st time)- wondering why I felt that way, prices were reasonable and had the best service and best food. Couldn't wait to go again! Third time (today, probably a month after second time) - service was borderline awful. Food was great but I will say it was a little better the second trip. This is a gem! The first thing you notice when walking in is the vast open space, with a stand alone full service bar in the center! Surprisingly, sounds and noises do not amplify in this place and you can have a normal tone conversation at your table- that's a huge plus! The decor is fresh, welcoming and executed beautifully- from the neon signs, the cinderblock planter wall, the cowboy hat and mirror wall, to the plants hanging in reclaimed bean cans- great setting for any occasion! The food and friendly service has always been consistent every time I've been! (About 20 times so far) The Smoked Pineapple Margarita is AMAZING! Don't let the size fool you, it's a perfect balance! It might have been smaller than I initially would have liked, but it is a stout libation without being overwhelming! The smoky flavor of the mezcal doesn't overshadow the sweetness of the pineapple, but is instead complimentary to it and its overall very refreshing flavor! This visit I went with my go-to staple, the White Queso- which has a small amount of kick, but for a spice lightweight like me- it's perfect! Even with all of the amazing dishes they offer (And I've tried many of them!) I ordered my entree off the appetizers menu this time and went with the shrimp ceviche as my meal, because seriously- i was NOT going to share this dish! The ceviche is "cooked" in the lime juice as traditional ceviche is, but this version isn't overpowered with the acidity of lime. It's complimented with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapeño, avocado and cucumber, and features a Valentina drizzle. The best way I can sum it up- it's a "Vacation in your mouth", you are sure to agree once you've tried it- seriously! My husband went with the Crispy Rock Shrimp tacos, which are tasty, full of flavor and not lacking in the shrimp department! The corn tortillas are fresh and don't crack under the pressure of all the goodness packed in them! There are pops of flavor from the pineapple and the zip of Chipotle mayo! Again- no lack of flavor here! Other mentions: Street Corn Cauliflower- the crispy seasoned cauliflower will turn anyone who doesn't care for cauliflower into a fan of it! Grilled Street Corn- a perfect twist to traditional elote, but a twist in the right direction! read more

What a lovely diamond in the rough! The beautiful front doors made me brave enough to enter with my toddler daughter and mother. The menu has beautiful imagery of all the food, which is made with reverence by the kitchen staff. I had shrimp fajitas and a mango margarita that didn't disappoint. I appreciate that they use parchment paper for their tortillas instead of foil. A few flies to shoo away, which is hard to get rid of in Denison. read more

Walking in this restaurant I'd not tried before, I was taken back by the ambiance and good vibes feeling that made me excited to be here. They were offering a special on Mimosas and that in itself is pretty exciting. We weren't too hungry so we split the combo fajitas. While waiting for the meal we chowed down on the chips and salsa and I thought both were pretty good. A small portion of chips, but still decent. Our fajitas were served and I went in for a quick taste of beans and rice combination ..... FISH. It tasted like fish. I'm not sure if they use a fish broth to cook their beans and rice... but I was definitely surprised. Needless to say. Not a big fan of fishy tasting beans and rice. The beef and chicken were okay until you got closer to the hot plate and then it too tasted like fish. So now I'm thinking maybe it was the fajita hot plate that was giving off the fishy taste?? The atmosphere was authentic. The restaurant was clean. The staff was prompt. The music was just enough in the background so as to not be interrupted. The waiter Bobby was very attentive and helpful. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Texoma. Hubby and I came for lunch today (Saturday) and it wasn't super busy, which worried us at first, but now makes us sad. People should be eating here!!! Why does everyone in Texoma frequent the restaurant chains? That's another story I guess. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. Very attentive. Maybe a little too attentive for us, but for the "Karen's" should be perfect. We ordered White Queso, the Fajita Trio and Shrimp Ceviche. I ordered a Watermelon Mango Mojito and I think it's my new favorite drink in this area! It reminded me of an adult Hawaiian Punch Orange. The food was FANTASTIC - the ceviche had great flavor but there was a spice in there I'm not used to eating in ceviche... maybe celery salt? It had a slight celery taste to it, but still delicious. The steak, chicken and shrimp in the fajitas were all cooked to perfection! The shrimp wasn't rubbery and over cooked and was seasoned beautifully. They were also some of the biggest shrimp I've seen! The steak was legit a whole steak cut into 3 strips! Same with the chicken breast. The steak was almost fork tender and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The portions are large so we were much too full for dessert. Definitely give this place a shot, it's worth the price! read more

We stopped here while passing through and the food did not disappoint. As someone. Else said, it is a large building, with nice music playing. The bar is in the center of the bar, but there were no problems hearing each other speak at a regular voice level. The staff were friendly and service was fast. The kitchen did mix up my husband's order by not excluding cheese. We were clear he is allergic and a note was on the receipt when we left. Thankfully, he saw it quickly but not before having a bite. I had a chorizo taco with pickled onions/cabbage & a pork taco with pineapples and an avocado sauce, they were delish! I'm pretty picky with the salsa I like & I went through 3 bowls of theirs. So good! I had a margarita on the rocks & not only was it only $5 for happy hour, it tasted good too! I'll definitely be back! I had the Sour Cream Chicken enchiladas and thought they were very good. I also order a margarita on the rocks it was also good. The service was excellent from Alejandro. He took our order quickly and accurately as well as returning to the table a couple of times to check on us. The ambiance is pretty typical of a Mexican restaurant, but was done in good taste. If I could make one suggestion it would be to break up the restaurant into small sections. The restaurant is huge and you can see every table from any place in the restaurant. Just needs to be broken up with plants or smaller seating areas to give it a more intimate feel. It would be a good place to go for date night if you didn't feel like you were eating in a huge warehouse. read more

Unbelievable happy hour prices and Taco Tuesday bargains. Not crazy about the salsa but that's because I'm not a big fan of chipotle peppers and it is the predominant taste.
