Good: Food was great! Poor: Service Waitress could not speak English. Had a very hard time ordering. She finally copied down what I wanted while I pointed to the words. I did not receive my whole order. I tried telling her this but finally asked for someone who spoke English. We received our dish. When it came to pay, the bill was incorrect. The manager was very nice but didn't help. The menu said add beans and rice for additional $1.99. We had 2 orders. Their total was $9.98. I'm not a wiz at math, but you figure that out. Sorry. There are so many other restaurants to go to without this much trouble. read more

I love this place. Not traditional Tex-mex - or maybe I've just been drawn to their unique menu items - but a huge choice of delicious options. Unbelievable happy hour prices and Taco Tuesday bargains. Not crazy about the salsa but that's because I'm not a big fan of chipotle peppers and it is the predominant taste. Our experience was great. I had two tacos, chicken tinga and the chorizo potato - both were delicious. I ordered a side of rice and beans as well, they were small portions but enough for me. My partner ordered the shrimp ceviche but to our surprise they didn't add Valentina sauce which is crucial to any ceviche. But after we asked for it, they quickly brought it out for him and it was amazing. I ordered a frozen margarita and the rim came with Tajín! It was a perfect balance of alcohol and margarita mix. I've been twice now and both time their frozen marg has been consistent and delicious. Try the chorizo queso it's amazing!! read more

The food was fresh and I love the spin on traditional Mexican cuisine. With that being said, the taste was average, but good. The appetizer flameado was not really a queso it was more of just really thick cheese so that was not the best to be honest. The ambiance is so cute, I really loved all the detail. I would return in the future to try more entrees and options. read more

Before I begin, just let me say that I was in the service industry for close to 14 years and worked at a number of bars and restaurants and have worked almost every position both front and back of house. Anyway, we walked in the place on a Sunday night, which was only about 1/4 full. We sat there for probably close to 10 minutes before anyone came up to us (should be 2-3 minutes max), which I assume was the manager and asked "Are we missing drinks?" Which almost made me blow up. And when he brought the drinks back, he walks off. So... we sat there for probably close to 6-7 more minutes with servers walking around us the whole time (with each passing minute getting madder and madder). Finally the last straw was when the server with a table to the right and left of us goes to both talks to them and walks off again. After this, I got up and left. We were in there almost 20 minutes with no service at all. I always treat service staff with the utmost respect and tip very well 99.9% of the time regardless of service because I know how it is working for tips to pay your rent and car payment etc..., And a very loyal person whrn I find a restaurant I enjoy, but at the same time I expect some sort of respect for the patron as well and to do the job you're getting paid to do. I will not be going back to this establishment for any reason. They blew their one and only shot with me. Besides, theyll be gone in a year any way. Dont waste your time... Go to Rustico instead. They have done amazing job with the building and decor. The waitress was very young and didn't know the beer selections. My friend ordered a Modello or Do Equis and she said they didn't have Modellodosequise. Hmmm, well, then they brought me a chicken salad instead of beef, no biggie, replaced it, bit there was just lack luster with the food. It was good, it wasn't great. They need to use more seasoning. The beef fajita meat was flavorful. We brought our Hispanic neighbors that love good Mexican food and I say they probably gave it a 6-7. Hopefully they'll improve some. Beautiful place! read more

Had dinner here with a group of friends really excited to try this new place to only be disappointed in the service, unwillingness of the restaurant to make any changes to any items on the menu. The cost of the items on the menu are expensive for what you end up getting. The drinks (margarita's) are in small glasses and they charge a premium price. The server didn't know the menu, told us there were items not on the menu but didn't know what they were. Server didn't know the drink menu. Once we did order, we were told that they were out of the menu items we ordered and dinner service had just stared. They are not ready to open, they are overpriced and the kitchen messed up the eventual orders we placed. Not sure that I will give this place another chance. Good luck! read more

Extremely disappointing experience. Ordered several tacos and a carne guisada plate, to-go, via their website. After you submit the order, it states to wait for a second email / text that confirms the order and shows an estimated time that it'll be ready. Never received that, after waiting 10-15 mins, so I drove there (20 mins). When I told the front counter lady my name, she finds it on an iPad and confirms it. I then get a text and email, stating my order is confirmed, and it will be ready in 30+ minutes! So, I wait patiently, since they were packed, figured it must be worth waiting for. LOL - I should have canceled the order when I arrived. When I left, I drove 5 minutes up the road and pulled over, to sample the food, since it would probably need reheating by the time I got home. Carne asada taco was good, the pico de gallo was nice and fresh, and it had a small pinch of pickled red cabbage, which was tasty. The taco was already cold. In less than 5 minutes. Also, for the price, it was a street taco size, worth about half the price. Next, was the expensive and most disappointing "carne guisada" I've ever eaten. First of all, it's made with skirt steak. What?! Carne Guisada is stewed, slow cooked, beef chuck or top round, cut into bite sized chunks and stewed in a gravy. Think beef tips in gravy. The skirt steak was RARE. It even said "Carne Guisada - RARE" on the receipt stapled to the bag. There was no meat temp selection when I ordered. Have you tasted rare, untenderized skirt steak? It's like chewing on a handful of rubber bands! Also, they gave me two big bags of half-stale chips, with two tiny dip cups of salsa. Maybe enough for four of the 60 chips. So, if you enjoy overpriced street tacos, check it out. Oh, and the refried black beans were good. The rice was bland. I can't see returning to this place, until they make major changes. If you want good carne guisada, make your own, or go to South Texas. I have been unable to find any up here in N TX. read more

I love this restaurant! I could eat here severely times per week. The food is fresh, perfectly seasoned and timely delivered to your table. The tacos are on the small side but their price reflects that. Order more of them! I appreciate that the portions are not sized to feed three people. Lessons the temptation to to eat more than you should! The black beans are a nice change from pintos and the rice is nicely seasoned but not drowned by red sauce. I really like that their food is not buried under pounds of cheese so that you can actually taste what you are eating. It's a large cavernous interior that could benefit with some division. To their credit, they kept the music low but interesting so that you dont need to yell to be heard across the table. I've been for lunch twice and hope to go for dinner many, many times. Food was good, service was good, and the queso was great. Portions are smaller than I'm used to at most Mexican restaurants. I may try again soon ordering a different dish. I had the poblano replenish and was kind of surprised it didn't have the deep fry egg batter on it. Still good, just different. Busy nights have slower service. This is a classy place. It's so well put together and clean. I ordered the chili relleno combo which comes with a crispy taco. The taco was the same one I'd get at Taco Bell, it was a boxed shell. The food is very well plated and the chili relleno was delicious. The prices are outrageous and we won't be back. There's a say fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Yesterday was a delicious dinner and my dish was $12 my wife's was $14. We had two drinks each and the bill was $100 w/ gratuity. You may think I'm being cheap or just mean but, I don't believe dinner bill should be more than 1/2 the bill for four drinks. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. The last time we were here we got charged twice for the queso. It's too bad the owner is paying the rent on the drinks and not the quality of the food. read more

Cantina Lime definitely exceeded our expectations! Don't let the strip mall location keep you away. The interior is a huge space with a cool bar in the center and creative contemporary design. Our server, Ingracia, was friendly and attentive. The bartender, Alejandro, mixes some fantastic margaritas...try the Diablo or Spicy cucumber. He even came over to our table to make sure we loved the drinks. The food was excellent, and photo worthy...Carne guisada, Pollo a la crema, shrimp fajitas, sour cream chicken enchiladas. Food was excellent-5 stars! Ambiance was excellent 5 stars as well. Our Server was knowledgeable about the menu and the sauces and made great recommendations. This restaurant has the possibility to become a favorite. But the night we were there, the restrooms were all out of order. I'm sure that has been rectified and won't happen again but it was unsettling. Hopefully the young management will correct some of the opening jitters and Cantina Lime will become a favorite. read more

I ate here alone. Host graciously seated me at a table instead of the bar, at my request, but gave me the option. Highly attentive. Described the margarita flight, which I opted for, and it was wonderful. I ordered the enchiladas verdes. Perhaps slightly light on flavors, it was good, and nothing about it would have been too "anything" for anyone. The rice is unusual in that it wasn't traditional Spanish rice...it was buttery white rice that reminded me of being a kid. Good. Kinda pricey, but beautifully plated, and I thought the service was top notch all the way around. They are still new and working on it. In fact, they asked my opinion on everything, so they are trying to grow and do the best. Very very clean and inviting, spacious and modern. read more

Food was good but it was hard to get it to us. We got there at 6 with reservations and had to wait 10 minutes for the table to be set up. Then we had only a five minute wait for the waitress, not too bad. But from there the service went down hill. It was 45 minutes from placing the order to getting the order. The fajita plate was small, a teaspoon of guacamole and even less chopped tomatoes. There was about a tablespoon full of cheese and 4 tortillas. The meat portion was about half a cup of chicken. Often in other restaurants I have to share the meal with my husband but this barely would fill a small child. The waitress was attentive and when asked about portions she got the manager who gave us rice which was supposed to come with the meal but had not and then seeing that it was about a half cup of rice, I was still disappointed. The waitress was now to waiting tables but she did great with the difficulties of a faulty kitchen and lack of actual food served. The food was tasty but I will not return. read more

Arrived on a Sunday night at 7pm. Not busy and pretty quiet which we enjoyed. My better half had the Fajita Trio and I had a Chimichanga with shredded beef and chicken. Both were fantastic!!! Food always good, margaritas as well. Service last night was awful. Sat at the bar for 6 minutes without any acknowledgment from the bartender. He waited on others seated there, made drinks, took money etc. Nothing. Finally another bartender whom we recognized from other visits came in and immediately recognized us, took our order. When our meal was over the first bartender took my leftovers to the back & never returned even though we told him we wanted to take it home. We had to ask for our dessert 3 times. I understand not having enough staff. I do not understand no acknowledgment & basic 'service' etiquette. Also, put hooks on the underside of the bar for purses, jackets, etc. If you want to be upscale, act like it. read more

I took a group of ladies into Catina Lime on 2/13/24. In the past we have had excellent service and great food. Today, as we celebrated Galentines Day, we found the restaurant to be nearly empty. There were 6 of us, 4 of us of us ordered dishes with chicken, when the food arrived it was plated beautifully, however, the dishes with chicken were extremely salty. We motioned for the waitress and told her that the chicken and sauces were too salty. The plates were taken away and replaced with the same type of meal. The second choices were also just as salty. We ended up sending them back a second time and told the waitress again, the chicken was too salty. The waitress offered a third choice and some went with the brisket tacos and another went with the tortilla soup. Those dishes came back salty as well. We asked to speak to the manager (middle aged hispanic lady) who argued that was the same food they serve at the restaurant all the time, only 2 of us ate our meal yet when the tab came to the table they charged the 4 who had complained about the salt full price, when questioned about it the manager said "you ate half of the meal". No.... no one ate half of a meal, they took 1 bite of the chicken and it was like eating a tsp of salt. So 98% of the meal went back to the kitchen 3 times. The manager argued with us, charged us full price and I told her the 6 of us would not be back and I wrote on the ticket we were writing a reviews. We will not be back and would not suggest people go to this restaurant, between us we paid $90 for meals that weren't fit to eat. Terrible customer service from the "manager" who should be more concerned about a heavy handed cook with a salkt shaker than anything else. The hot sauce was also too salty and had too much chili powder, no real spice. This place has slipped. None of us will return. read more
