This was such a cozy and quick place to grab a bite of my favorite food... Mexican! Upon arrival I was told I could sit anywhere I want. The waitress was very quick, informative, and nice. My wife has been to another location and said it was a good restaurant. We were disappointed with this location. There was no wait, and we were sat quickly. Chips and salsa were great. We ordered the choruses, and it was not as hot as we would have liked it. The cheese was already cooling and getting chunky. It had a good flavor, but we have had better. My wife ordered three tacos, and only ate one. There was one with jalapeños and pork, but the piece of pork she tried eating was hard, and the pickling of the veggies was over powering. I had the west coast burrito, and it was ok. It was not what I would call a large burrito, but the fries that came with it had a good flavor. If I could give less than zero stars, I would. We should've left when confronted with an odd smell and completely empty restaurant during the peak dinner hour but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Mistake. The salsa looked like a bowl of watery tomato puree. Queso was flavorless and the grilled chicken in the baja salad was so salty it rendered the entire meal inedible. Came on a Saturday evening around 6:00-6:30. It wasn't too busy but fairly steady. Sat outside on the covered patio which was ideal for our group with a dog and kids. The quesadilla was extremely soggy and hard to handle- it was falling apart super easily. My tacos were okay- I ordered one "hangover style" but both ended up being served that way. Not a huge deal but not what I expected. The burrito and burrito bowl were good sized. They have a decent variety on the kids menu which was nice as some places don't have a large kids section. I asked the food runner for small appetizer plates on 3 occasions and we never received them. The server was apologetic to the errors with the food and the plates. Juan C was our server according to our receipt and we saw him twice the entire time we were there and once was us flagging him down. Our drinks ran out, he didn't bring us a refill on salsa like we asked and we never got the sour cream my wife asked for. He was gone from the floor the majority of the time. I truly dislike giving an establishment anything less than a 4 and perhaps yesterday was a fluke and we need to go again. Pros - Fast and easy seating. Our food did come out quick and was delicious. I have been at the other locations so I know what to expect. The food is always usually good. Con - What killed it for me yesterday was the service. The gentleman was nice. Starting with our appetizer, we had no plates to eat it on until we asked and no utensils. Some of the mini plates were dirty. So when we got our main plates, we had to ask for utensils because we still had none. Several times my husband was waiting and asking for a refill. Just seemed a little lackluster. I was a little bummed by this because I love the food, but sometimes customer service kills the overall experience for me. It was a Friday night, but they weren't super busy.
